Jackson Martinez will be heading to Atletico Madrid after the club agreed a €35 million deal with Porto on Tuesday.
The player has been linked with some top European clubs in past weeks, but no serious deal was struck.
Now Atletico are prepared to meet the buyout clause of the player which is around €35 million,
According to reports, the player will be signing a four year deal with the club.
The striker, who is currently on international duty with Colombia at the Copa America, was set to join AC Milan before interest was made by Atletico.
“Atletico are a very big club that has done important things in the league and in Europe. Jackson is going there to also achieve great things and to bring the best out of himself.”
Atletico have signed Luciano Vietto from Villarreal and are hoping to land Martinez at the club.
