Following reports that Akpako singer Gabriel ‘Terry G’ Amanyi was stoned off stage at a show in Benue State, the artiste has faulted the claim, saying the rumour peddlers are ignorant of the incident.

The event which took place on December 19, 2013 at IBB Square, Markudi, went rowdy after overzealous fans of the Akpako master joined him on stage as he performed his Hallelujah song. The move however attracted the intervention of security personnel.

“It is simply impossible for my fans, not even in my state where I’m being treated like a King to throw stones at me or chase me out of the stage, it’s not realistic,’’ Terry G says. ‘’The problem was purely between the security guys and the audience, but for security reasons, I and the other artistes have to be taken out of the scene. Whoever is spreading the rumour that I was stoned is simply ignorant of what happened.”

Amanyi, who recently released the video for his ‘Oga’ song, has also signed a new act ‘Lance‘ to his House of Ginjah record label.

  1. There was a rumour that "Terry G" wore the wrong dress code on stage…but I really think there was a misconception somewhere;however I want to believe thay, there's no smoke withought fire.

  2. Rumour had it that “Terry G” was putting on the wrong dress code,in the wrong place,@the wrong time. However,I want to believe that there’s no smoke withought fire… Still, the akpako master was surely not aware of the course.
