Big Brother Naija star, Nina Ivy has asked a pertinent question in reaction to people fleeing Ukraine after it was invaded by Russia.
It can be recalled that on Thursday, February 24, the world woke up to report that Russia millitary had invaded Ukraine via air, water and land, and explosions were heard across the country.
This caused pandemonium in the European country as people started running to safety, there were gridlocks on major roads; and underground subways were used as make-shift shelter.
Reacting to this, Nina took to her Instagram story to question why people always wait till the last minute before fleeing to safety.
The mum of one and entrepreneur wrote,
“Why does people always wait for last min before running to safety, Russia been threatening Ukraine for weeks now and most foreigners still didn’t think its wise to go back to their countries, everywhere is hot in Ukraine right now and they are running to the airport and train stations, to do what exactly please?
I feel like it’s good to take necessary steps while you still can than waiting till the dying min before realizing you need to move. It’s common sense.”
