An Indian actress, Mahalakshni, has lashed out at those body-shaming her husband, Ravindar Chandrasekaran, and accusing her of marrying him for his money.
The actress, who recently tied the knot with the movie producer whom she met while featuring in his yet-to-be released movie, has been subjected to heavy criticism since their wedding.
While some attacked her husband because of his appearance and weight, others accused her of choosing to marry him for the sake of his money.
Unperturbed by the vile comments they have been receiving, the newlyweds went live on Instagram to lash out at those insulting them.
Mahalakshmi, who was previously married and has a son, said no one should be mocked because of their appearance, including her husband.
During the live session, a follower threw a jab at the couple and asked what would happen when Ravindar ‘lies on top of the actress’ during sexual intercourse.
Surprisingly, Ravindar gave a cool response, stating that love has no form.
He added that “this is not because I was a producer but because a fat man married a beautiful woman.”
Following the live session, Mahalaksmi granted an interview with Sun Television where she refuted reports that she married Ravindar because of his money.
She stated that she is financially stable and has been raising her son alone since she divorced her ex-husband.
The 32-year-old actress added that she didn’t even plan on remarrying but when Ravindar proposed marriage to her, she decided to give love another chance.
In a recent Instagram post, Rvaindar thanked those who dislikes his marriage to the actress, noting that one day they would make them love them. He captioned the image writing, “My clan has come to flourish, you can start hereafter with the grace of family god. Thank you to the hearts who love us. Thank you so much to the world that hate us. One day we will make you love. Yours Ravi & Mrs Ravi”
In another post, Ravindar in a clear response to trolls noted that he is going for honeymoon with his wife in his private jet. He wrote as the caption of the image, “Producer Ravindhar travelling with his wife in private jet to honey moon Island in Belize..”
