A pharmacist, identified simply as Obianuju, has taken to social media to advise Nigerian women who are considering marrying a divorced man.
In her post shared on Thursday, August 3rd, she admonished them to contact their potential partner’s ex-wife to find out the reason behind their divorce.
After discovering what led to the end of their marriage, she advised them to apply wisdom and carefully assess the situation before proceeding to marry the man.
Obianuju tweeted,
“Nigerian women, Before you marry a divorced man, abeg reach out to his ex-wife and have deep conversations to find out what led to divorce. Then apply wisdom, and count the cost”.

Her post has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some saying the advise goes both ways while others disagreed with her stance.

Most of the time, people don’t ever take responsibilities for failed relationships, friendship or marriages. How many people will say “I messed up”? You’ll ask and you’ll hear how much of a bad person the ex is u til you come in contact with the said ex and experience something totally different. If you Love someone enough, find out for yourself who they are while dating or courting. Some people treat people according to what they deserve which is not a true definition of their personality.”
