A Nigerian man has taken to social media to lament after his girlfriend requested his permission to visit her male friend in Abuja.
In a post shared on the microblogging platform X, the man posted screenshots of his chat with his girlfriend, where she revealed her desire to travel to Abuja to see her friend.
She repeatedly assured him that the man is just a friend and has pure intentions towards her. She also mentioned that they’ve spent time together a few times in Lagos.
The young man, who clearly didn’t want to argue or cause a scene, gave his girlfriend the go-ahead to see her friend.
The evidently took the lady by surprise as she appeared to expect him to say NO. Presumably out of self guilt, she said she wasn’t going to travel anymore.
The X user, with the handle @BigMaverix, shared screenshots of the chat with the caption, “Omo, I’m tired….Relationship is not for me … Imagine my babe wanting to go spend time with an Abuja guy.”
