Popular media personality Teju Babyface has shared a controversial yet thought-provoking take on how individuals should handle guilt after cheating in a relationship.

In a video shared on Instagram, Teju advised against confessing infidelity to one’s spouse, arguing that doing so can be more harmful than helpful.

According to Teju, people should reflect deeply and transform the flawed parts of their character that led to the betrayal.

He emphasized that confession should not be a burden placed on the partner who has already been hurt.

He said;

“Do not confess to cheating, take all that guilt and turn it inward, stop and change your actions, not your character, because essentially you’re a good person, just change your actions, or maybe change part of your character. Part of your character is flawed, maybe do that, and here’s the better thing you can do be nicer to your partner in the wake of that, shower them with love, let them be asking, and then shower them with more love. Do it out of genuineness, don’t do it out of guilt, actually change. Do not confess to cheating, stop cheating, change confess to God, to your priest, to your counselor, to your close friend whom you trust, but don’t ever put that weight on your spouse, because that is not honesty, that is cruelty, you are being wicked, don’t do it.”

His advice has sparked conversation online, with the majority disagreeing with his stances.
