A man has shared the response he got from a loan app after 650k was loaned from his stolen phone.

According to the story, the man in question l0st the phone while on his way to work in a keke. The person who took the phone, then went ahead to access a loan app to borrow 400k with about 250k interest.

Luckily, he took actions immediately and got his phone back before the loan got disbursed into his account. Realizing where the money had come from, he reported the transaction and requested that the loan app take the money back since it wasn’t up to four hours they sent it.

Unfortunately they told him that business is business. That they were not aware his phone was stolen and far as they are concerned, he agreed to the terms and conditions.

X-users have shared their opinions on the matter:

@Ohamadikae  This can only happen in Nigeria 🇳🇬 😪
Who gives a loan of 400k with 250k interest?? That’s extortion, stealing, exploitation, and wickedness!!! Nigeria is becoming a jungle ..How easy these loan apps are making it for people will make you understand the illegalities in it.

@Reason_Path Explain his ordeal in a text with evidence and send it to all his contacts every month. Then spend the money, download Truecaller and wait for them. You can get a second line because the first one will be on sabbatical when they start coming in with high energy for a while.

@kenkenlewu So they gave out 400k just like that without proper facial verification or what?
