A Korean Dj on TikTok has sparked reactions after she shared a video of how she spent her day frying and selling puff puff in Nigeria.

Following her TikTok videos, the cheerful Korean DJ apparently took up residence in Nigeria and has been using the platform to share her experiences. These experiences, according to her, have been the reason she and Nigeria have an addictive love-hate relationship. She had shared moments she took Okada (bike) as a means of transportation, first times she tried garri, went to grind pepper, and when she got treated for malaria.

Taken to another adventure she recently decided to help a lady fry and sell puff puff by the roadside. As early as 8:30 in the morning, she was already in her apron. She single handedly scooped the fermented puff puff batter, dropped them into the oil and fetched them into an iron sieve after they had puffed . Onlookers, tricyclists and school children crowded her in amazement as they purchased – some of the school children changed their accent while doing so. And in 3 hours she had made up to ₦30,000 for the seller.

TikTok users say she had much sales because she was a foreigner; the idea of tasting an “Oyibo’s” puff puff would convince most people. Others appreciated the fact that she was imbibing Nigeria’s culture, and helping people in the local community unlike others who would critique it standard of living. And being that she usually posts video’s of herself eating Nigerian food, some would chip in humorous comment about how many puff puff she ate during the process.
