Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has responded to speculation that her daughter has reconciled with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Talk of a possible reconciliation began circulating on social media over the weekend after Regina was reportedly spotted at Nwoko’s residence.
The development drew reactions from several Nigerians, including some celebrities who had publicly supported the actress during her marital dispute.
Actor Stanley Ontop, who had been vocal in his support for Regina, also reacted to the reports. He accused the actress of returning to settle things with Nwoko despite the support she received during their separation.
Amid the reactions, Rita explained that her daughter’s visit to the senator’s residence was connected to her children and not necessarily a reconciliation.
She reportedly made the clarification during a private conversation with actor Uche Maduagwu, who later shared the exchange on Instagram.
According to Rita, Regina had been invited to see her children.
“It is well my dear. She was invited to see her children, that was what happened. Thanks a lot for your support and concern,” she said.
