A Nigerian mother sparked online reactions after sharing a video of her toddler sitting on a newly purchased plastic chair while they drove home.

In the video, the mother explained that they had stopped at a store to buy the chair, but her daughter insisted on sitting on it during the journey.
The toddler is seen sitting on the plastic chair, placed on the car seat, while watching something on a phone screen.

According to the mother, the little girl refused to give up her preferred spot despite being in the car.
However, the video gained mixed reactions, with several viewers criticizing the mother for letting the child sit on the plastic chair instead of prioritizing her safety during the journey.

While some expressed concern about the risks of letting a toddler travel without an appropriate child restraint, others advised parents not to accept whatever their children insist on because they are toddlers.
