Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has tendered a public apology as the controversy surrounding his marriage to Natasha Osawaru continues to escalate.

The drama began after two of his former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Natasha of trying to assume full control of the singer’s finances and career during a live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze.

During the broadcast, 2Baba unexpectedly joined the conversation, urging his ex-managers to stop discussing his private life.

Moments later, a heated exchange between him and Natasha was overheard off-camera before the live abruptly ended.

The situation intensified when members of 2Baba’s family filed a petition to the Inspector-General of Police, accusing Natasha of assault, bigamy, and financial misconduct.

They alleged she attacked the singer in both the UK and Abuja, and withheld his personal documents, including his passport.

However, 2Baba distanced himself from his family’s claims, saying their efforts to save him were causing more harm than good.

He insisted their accusations were unfairly damaging Natasha’s reputation and deeply interfering in his marriage.

According to him, Natasha has been receiving death threats as a result of the controversy.

Addressing the matter at a recent public event, the 50-year-old singer apologised for the chaos that has unfolded publicly, describing it as unnecessary entertainment.

“I must say that I don provide too much entertainment. Please do not be angry at me again. Please forgive me and my family.” He said
