Tiwa Savage has opened up about a disturbing experience from her career, revealing that she once lost a major endorsement after refusing to travel to Dubai to meet the chairman of a popular company.

Speaking candidly during a show, the award-winning singer explained that the pressure placed on her at the time was direct and unsettling.
According to her, she was told she would lose a role if she did not agree to meet the company’s top executive in person.
Tiwa recounted that the company insisted she travel with their chairman to Dubai, but after declining, the endorsement was immediately withdrawn.
The singer said the moment made her realize that skill and hard work were often overshadowed by unfair expectations, particularly for women in the entertainment industry.
She noted that the experience was painful and eye-opening, adding that many people do not understand the hidden pressures artists face behind the scenes.
Tiwa told the audience that incidents like these make female entertainers question the standards they are subjected to, stressing that respect for talent should outweigh any inappropriate demands.
Below are some of the comments;
“The dark side of pretty privilege is being lusted over not loved. People just want to sleep with you.”
“it’s not easy for women in the industry. almost everyone wants to take advantage of them before helping them.”
“Why can’t she call out the name of the man? I believe she has got the evidence to back up her claims. I don’t understand protecting an oppressor.”
“Easy to criticise ladies that have been sexually harassed, until its your sister or daughter. Men just do better.”
