Man shared hilarious moment when the church choir dedicated a song to him after he showed up to service with dreadlocks (VIDEO)

A man recently took to social media to share an unexpectedly hilarious and slightly awkward moment he experienced after braiding his dreadlocks and attending a church service.

Only to have the choir seemingly dedicate an entire song to him about being a “bad boy” destined for hell.

According to the short clip, the man had styled his dreadlocks into a neat and fashionable pattern and walked confidently into a local church in his neighborhood for service.

Expecting nothing more than a few compliments or curious glances, he was instead met with what felt like a full-blown musical intervention.

As soon as he sat down, the choir appeared to draw sudden “divine inspiration” from his new look and launched into a fire-and-brimstone song about a “bad boy,” a fraudster with worldly styles in need of repentance, while all eyes in the congregation turned toward him.

The dramatic moment quickly caught attention online, with users flooding the comments with laughter, jokes, and a wide range of reactions to the unexpected church callout.

A Nigerian man identified as Sunusi Danjuma Ali is being praised online for his act of integrity after he returned the money that was mistakenly credited to him.

According to reports, over $135,000 (more than ₦200 million) was mistakenly credited to his cryptocurrency wallet on the Bitunix platform.

Sunusi had noticed the large balance in his Bitunix account and immediately suspected it was a system error. Despite acknowledging that he had worked hard for the platform, he chose not to exploit the glitch.

Instead, he promptly contacted Bitunix’s database team in Africa, as well as the company’s official X (Twitter) account, to report the error.

The tweet read;

“It is always good to be good. This brother, Sunusi Danjuma Ali, discovered a huge balance in his cryptocurrency Bitunix account, over $135,000 (more than ₦200 million). Instead of attempting to withdraw the funds, he chose the path of honesty and quickly contacted the Bitunix database team in Africa as well as their official X (Twitter) account. They confirmed it was indeed a glitch, and he asked them to rectify it. Well done.”

According to his tweet, the man whom he had never met reached out to him on the platform, claiming he needed a small push to grow his business and promised to repay the money on an agreed date.

He also claimed his wife had recently undergone a cesarean section, a fabricated sob story that the influencer believed at the time.

Moved by the plea, the influencer said he transferred ₦2.2 million to the man, expecting him to invest it in the stated business.

However, he later discovered that the entire sum had been squandered on betting.

The man has since reportedly pleaded for forgiveness, while his wife offered to repay the money at 100,000 per month.

The influencer said he has handed the matter over to the authorities for resolution and lamented that the experience has made him skeptical of online requests for financial assistance.

In a recent Instagram post, Iyabo Ojo revealed that although she had remained silent, her legal team has been closely monitoring the situation and preparing for legal action.

Recall that for a while now, Liz Anjorin has been blaming the actress for several things that have been happening everywhere and with anyone.

Reacting to her constant calling out, Iyabo Ojo noted that her silence over the past few months was intentional, as she chose to focus on her family, welcoming her grandson, and supporting her daughter through motherhood.

“Honestly, most times, I struggle to hold my peace… but I have to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse,” she wrote.

Adding that the insults and curses directed at her family, particularly her newly welcomed grandson, have not gone unnoticed.

5,000+ UNIBEN Students at Risk of Missing Exams Over Unpaid Fees

Over 5,000 students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) risk being barred from participating in the second-semester examinations.

The examination, which begins on the 29th of September, some students might not participate in due to their failure to pay mandatory school charges.

According to the university’s Registrar, Ademola Bobola, the institution adheres to a strict policy of ‘no payment, no exam’

He also added that students have been issued repeated reminders and encouraged to take advantage of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), but many failed to respond.

In a move to enforce compliance, the university’s Senate has directed all faculties to publish the names of defaulting students by Monday morning, giving them a final window to settle their dues.

A special task force, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), has also been commissioned to oversee enforcement across faculties.

The university management defended the decision, stating that it ensures fairness and upholds academic standards, aligning with similar measures adopted by other institutions across the country.

Below are some of the reactions;

President Bola Tinubu quadrupled school fees, then introduced NELFUND loans, and Edo Deputy Governor sang praises of him for that.

“Wow… That’s a massive number of potential carry-overs.”

“This specifically questions the essence of the NELFUND: at least, students should seamlessly access the fund, to offset their debt. On the flip side, institutions should also have a rethink on the cost of fees: it could be burdensome for many.”

“I Never Thought I Would Still Be Unmarried at 40” – Don Jazzy (WATCH)

In a recent interview with the Echo Podcast, popular music mogul Don Jazzy opened up about a personal reflection that caught many by surprise.

When asked by the interviewer what part of himself he felt he had almost lost, the Mavin Records boss shared that he never thought he would still be unmarried.

“I never thought I would be 40-something and unmarried while growing up, so yeah, maybe I already lost that one. And I’m not bothered about it. If it comes, it comes.” He said.

Recall that before the ‘Mavin’ record owner rose to fame as one of Africa’s most successful music producers, he was briefly married in his early twenties.

He tied the knot with a model and writer, Michelle Jackson, in 2003 while living in London. However, the marriage lasted just two years before ending in divorce.

In past interviews, Don Jazzy has spoken candidly about the short-lived union, acknowledging its end to his all-consuming dedication to music.

He went on to share that balancing his passion for building a career and maintaining a family proved difficult at the time.

Despite the split, he often refers to Michelle, his ex-wife, as a “beautiful soul” and has maintained that they remain on good terms.

While fans and followers continue to speculate on his relationship status, Don Jazzy remains focused on his craft, unbothered by societal pressures to settle down.

“S*x does not keep a man” – Actress Eucharia Anunobi advises women against sleeping with men in hopes of a proposal (WATCH)

Nollywood veteran and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has sparked conversation online following a candid advice she gave to women.

In a recent video shared on her Instagram page, she stated that no matter the amount of sex a woman gives to a man, he’s not going to propose if he doesn’t want to.

Eucharia went on to question the widely held belief that sexual intimacy can lead a man to commit or propose marriage.

Arguing that if sex were truly a tool for securing commitment, then ‘all the prostitutes would have gotten all the men.’

“Ask yourself, check yourself, you have given him different styles and yet he has not popped that question. If sex were the weapon to get a man to propose, all the prostitutes would have gotten all the men. Why don’t you accept the truth and what the word of God says that sex doesn’t keep a man, but the spirit of God keeps a man. So get off the high horse of thinking that sexual styles will keep a man, but only the spirit of God will turn a man or woman’s mind to begin to do the right and needful thing.” She said.

Her remarks have sparked mixed reactions online, while the majority agree with her take.

“Buy property in your name. Contributing to building a house with a man won’t stop him from taking another wife” – Lawyer counsels women.

A Nigerian lawyer has sparked a debate online after advising married women to secure their future by purchasing properties in their own names.

According to her, people often overlook the financial vulnerabilities women face in marriage, especially in a society where polygamy, separation, and divorce happen.

She advised women to remain committed and positive in their marriages, while also making smart and independent financial decisions.

Adding that contributing to their husband’s personal projects, such as building a house, doesn’t guarantee loyalty or marital stability.

The lawyer concluded by saying her advise was specifically for women, and if a man chooses to add his wife’s name to his property, it’s entirely up to him. However, she maintained that women must not shy away from owning assets independently.

A part of her post read;

“Yes, be positive and give your marriage your best effort, but at the same time, make wise and logical decisions that protect you if things ever go wrong. If you support your husband’s projects, do it from a place of love and faith, not as a guarantee of loyalty. Contributing to building a house with a man won’t stop him from taking another wife, cheating, or even walking away if the marriage falls apart. A house is not what holds a marriage together.

Love is beautiful, but wisdom is necessary. Marriage is not a competition, you have every right to own property too. Help your marriage grow, but don’t neglect your own personal growth in the process.

Lady Recounts Moment Her Younger Sibling Held a Fúneral for Her Pet Fish That D!ed (VIDEO)

A young woman has shared a touching (and hilarious) memory of her little sister experiencing her first taste of loss and turning it into an unforgettable performance.

Three years ago, when the family’s beloved goldfish passed away, her little sister decided that a simple goodbye just wouldn’t cut it.

Instead, she organized what could only be described as a full-blown funeral service, right in the living room..

With her toys carefully arranged in neat rows like mourners, she transformed the space into a ceremonial hall.

The goldfish was wrapped in a white sheet, decorated with glitter, and gently laid to rest on the center table, surrounded by shiny plastic beads like a royal send-off.

After a moment of solemn silence, the little girl suddenly burst into a mix of sobbing and dramatic dancing, turning the farewell into a performance that had the whole family in stitches.

The memory has since resurfaced in a now-viral video, with viewers charmed by the blend of innocence, creativity, and theatrical flair. As one commenter put it: She didn’t just grieve. She directed and starred in the whole production.”

Bright Morgan speaks out after his girlfriend’s actions almost got him disqualified from the BBNaija house (VIDEO)

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Bright Morgan, has opened up about his girlfriend’s attempt to have him disqualified from the reality TV show.

In an exclusive interview with TV personality Doyin, the reality TV star detailed how the situation unfolded and the role he played.

Bright disclosed that he met his girlfriend in March this year online, with an understanding to see how things would progress.

When the opportunity to participate in BBNaija came up, Bright said his girlfriend supported his decision.

However, they had an agreement that he would keep things strictly professional in the house, with no romantic involvement.

Bright had handed over access to his social media accounts to his girlfriend after she volunteered to manage them while he was in the house.

The tension began after his girlfriend saw him holding hands with a fellow housemate, Mide, during a dinner, which reportedly upset her.

According to Bright, his girlfriend contacted the show’s organizers, demanding his disqualification and urging him to return home, citing family concerns.

“Multi-choice called my brother, who immediately debunked the claims,” he said. Despite this, she continued to attempt to sabotage his journey on the show.

Inside the house, Bright had found companionship with Mide, who expressed her discomfort with being perceived as someone who ‘stole another lady’s man.’

Bright promised to discuss the situation with his girlfriend after leaving the house and took responsibility for his actions.

He went on to describe his girlfriend’s efforts to tarnish his reputation on social media by tagging him with unprintable names.

“Calling to ask that they disqualify me is not love but obsession,” Bright said, emphasizing the emotional strain the ordeal caused.

Lady shares how her wedding was cancelled for refusing to call her 11-year-old sister-in-law ‘Aunty’

A lady has taken to social media to share how her wedding was called off three weeks before the due date over her refusal to address her 11-year-old sister in law as ‘aunty’

The post, shared on Facebook by a relationship adviser, Adefemi Taiwo Damilola, garnered the attention of many who debated the matter.

According to the bride-to-be, it all started when she asked her fiancé’s 11-year-old niece, Temilade, to help her zip up her dress.

She had called the girl by her first name, which didn’t sit well with the mother-in-law, who requested she address Temilade as ‘Aunty Temilade’ as a sign of respect.

The bride, who revealed she was a master’s degree holder and nearly two decades older than Temilade, argued that it was inappropriate to call a child ‘Aunty.’

However, her mother-in-law reportedly insisted that all family members, regardless of age, should be addressed with ‘Aunty’ or ‘Uncle’ as part of tradition.

The disagreement escalated when the bride-to-be also greeted another niece casually, prompting further complaints about disrespect.

Her fiancé, who took his mother’s side, accused her of allowing her pride to get in the way when she refused to comply.

The dispute ended with the mother-in-law sending the bride out of the home of her husband to be, calling off the wedding, and the fiancé blocking her on all social media platforms.

Hilarious moment African mom shaves off her son’s cornrows with scissors and blade after returning home from campus with a stylish haircut.

A university student shared the hilarious (and slightly traumatic) moment he returned home from campus rocking a fresh set of cornrows, only to have them chopped off within minutes by his unimpressed mom.

According to the student, he was feeling confident after getting his hair braided on campus, expecting compliments and maybe a few selfies with the family. What didn’t he expect? A surprise haircut appointment—right in the living room.

The moment he walked through the door, his African mom pulled out a pair of scissors, sat him down like it was a routine, and began snipping away.

But she didn’t stop there. Out came the razor blade, and before he knew it, the stylish cornrows had turned into a clean skin-cut.

She even applied ointment afterward, making sure the “transformation” was complete, like a full-on home barber shop experience, powered by motherly authority. The clip has since gone viral, with users sharing their own similar experiences.

Felak Group Dismisses

Abuja, Nigeria — September 18, 2025 — Felak Group has firmly dismissed a report alleging that its Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. (Mrs.) Aisha Achimugu (OFR), and subsidiary Oceangate Engineering Oil & Gas, were involved in a $7 million cash transaction with Providus Bank.

The company, in a statement on Thursday, described the claims made by Mr. Chukwudi Iwuchukwu as “false, contradictory, and misleading,” insisting there was no connection between its executives, its subsidiary, and the alleged deal.

“We categorically state that neither Dr. Mrs. Achimugu nor Oceangate Engineering Oil & Gas has any connection whatsoever to the alleged
transaction,”
the statement read.

Felak Group also noted contradictions in the report, pointing out that while it alleged the funds were deposited in Lagos, the legal filings referenced placed the matter in Abuja.

“The attempt to link our principal and subsidiary to this matter is unfounded, misleading, and without any factual basis, and represents a gross abuse of free expression,” the management said.

The Group demanded an immediate, unconditional retraction and apology from the author as well as from platforms that published or circulated the story. It stressed that the correction must be issued with the same prominence as the original claims. The company further warned that it would explore legal action should there be non-compliance.

“Felak Group remains steadfast in driving innovation and excellence across our industries whilst conducting business with the utmost integrity,” the statement concluded.

Man l@mentsMan l@ments how a woman was treated for not paying her child’s school fees on time how a woman was treated for not paying her child’s school fees yet

Saving money for education concept.

An X (Twitter) user has taken to social media to express deep frustration over the way a woman was treated at a school after falling behind on her child’s school fees.

In a lengthy tweet, he described how the child was being excluded from school activities and not being given homework due to unpaid fees.

Despite the mother assuring the school that she would settle the payment by the end of the term, her pleas were met with murmurs and judgment from other parents.

The man, who also admitted to struggling to meet school fee obligations himself, said he was heartbroken by the lack of empathy shown towards the woman.

Considering the fact that she claimed she had never defaulted on payment in the past.

He went on to criticize the rising classism in society and how people seem quick to judge others without understanding their circumstances.

A part of his tweet read;
“So, this week, I was able to pay the bulk part of it. I took my child to school this morning, and a woman complained that her child had been ostracized and wasn’t given homework, and all because she promised to pay the end. The woman requested to see the school head, and all I heard were parents murmuring. Guess what they were saying, ‘If you can’t pay money, let your child stay at home!’. ‘The holiday was long now, how much is the money?’ I stood and watched how everybody badmouthed this woman, and I just shook my head. This is a woman who said she has never defaulted when it comes to paying her child’s school fees, and here are people murmuring and bad-mouthing her.”

“If you are humble as an artiste, they take you for granted” – Asake (WATCH)

Popular Nigerian singer Asake has opened up about the challenges of navigating fame in the entertainment industry.

In a recent video that was shared online, the singer shared his thoughts on how artists are often received based on how they carry themselves.

According to him, humility doesn’t always translate to respect and can even backfire in a world that seems to value glamour over authenticity.

In his experience, fans are often more drawn to the idea of distance, rather than openness and relatability.

He said;

“As an artist, if you’re humble, they take you for granted. But if you have ego, they feel like you’re not accessible, then they like you more. People would rather see what you’re doing than showing them. They don’t really appreciate it. Do what you need to do and just go.”

Asake believes that instead of seeking constant validation or trying to prove oneself,  one should stay focused and let the work do the talking.

Below are some of the comments;

“No be lie, just do you, regardless you can’t be liked by all…at the end of the day life is about our different perspectives.”

Celebrity or not That’s just how life works, too much access reduce value.

I keep saying this, humility is a trap. As you go, your ego and pride should grow with you else people will take you for granted. Humility is a trap by people just to maintain access to you when they shouldn’t. Don’t fall for it.

Music promoter warns event organizers against booking Kizz Daniel (IMAGES)

A music promoter who identifies as Bankiis has issued a strong warning to fellow event organizers against booking singer Kizz Daniel.

In a detailed statement he shared via his Instagram story, he also criticized the singers current market value, stating that he no longer has a strong fanbase.

According to him, Kizz Daniel’s has developed a constant pattern of failing to appear at scheduled performances after been paid.

He went on to cite repeated instances of his no-shows that have left promoters disappointed and at significant financial risk.

Additionally, he urged promoters, especially those in the diaspora, to reconsider working with the singer, warning that the chances of turning a profit are slim compared to the risks involved.

His post read;

“Promoters are strongly warned against booking @kizzdaniel. It is a major risk and highly likely to result in loss. From past experience, he has shown a pattern of not showing up for shows, leaving promoters stranded and audiences disappointed. Beyond that, he does not currently have the fanbase or market strength to generate the kind of returns promoters expect. Anyone considering working with him should think carefully, as the chances of profit are very slim compared to the high risk involved.”

This comes after Kizz Daniel allegedly failed to show up after he was paid for a performance and refused to refund the organizer.
