“Life is harder for a career driven woman” – Nursing mum pictured breastfeeding her son while writing post graduate degree exam says

A Nigerian Nursing Mother who was pictured breastfeeding her son while writing an exam, has revealed that life is harder for a career driven woman.

According to the mother-of-three identified as Marlene Onyedikachi-Nwalozie, her husband, who was waiting outside the exam hall with their child, had tried everything to make their son stop crying. When nothing worked, he handed the child over to the invigilator who then took the baby to the mother.

She wrote on Facebook ;

This was me yesterday writing my Post Graduate Degree in Education examination
My son cried so hard that his father had to submit him to the invigilators after he had exhausted all dance steps and songs to make him stop crying to no avail

The invigilator had to bring the baby to me to do whatever I have to to quieten him. They believe a mother always has the magic to make a crying baby stop

I was grateful because his wailing won’t let me remember anything. I thought he was going to die crying like that for whatever reason
Thank God for breast. Immediately I put him to breast, he let out a long breath and stopped crying

This is how we stayed for 2hours till I finished exam
Reminded me of 2016 when I had to hold my daughter in one arm while writing my Msc examinations

According to the father of two, throughout their eleven years of dating, Bella was aware that there were other women in his life yet she waited patiently for him.

Don’t leave your man for having too many partners, women should learn to share, i am yet to see a man with only one partner, men are the same, just find one that is caring, a giver, not a bully and settle down, nothing dey for Waka Waka life” he wrote.

“You married a wife not a cook” – Wale Jana blasts the “entitlement of men especially when it comes to cooking”

Self-acclaimed social media Evangelist, Wale Jana, has berated men who feel it’s in their right for their wives to always cook for them.

According to Wale, It should be generally accepted that not all women might have the gift of cooking.

He also advised men to remember that they married a wife, and not a cook.

His post below ;

This post is about the entitlement mentality of men especially when it comes to cooking. When are we going to have the discussion that not all women have the gift of cooking? The fact that she’s a woman doesn’t mean she will have cooking skills. I know hunger is a big problem in Nigeria but also remember that you married a wife not a cook! I have seen a man look at a woman who can’t cook as if she has HIV. Cooking is a SKILL like knowing how to drive or how to swim! If you are not inclined or attracted to it, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with you!

My wife is an amazing cook but how can we have four daughters and I will still make her slave in the kitchen all day because I want to eat, that’s wickedness let another person do that! If you want world class dishes hire a chef! Yorubas used to say “olobe lo loko” (she who knows how to cook owns the husband) that’s nonsense! By the time she slaves away for years at the kitchen and she’s looking haggard and older than you, you will be the same man looking for a younger, sexier babe and ordering room service in hotels. It’s interesting that the side chic may never even have to boil water!

Men stop being entitled over this food matter! If you are so passionate about food, get a chef! You married a wife not a cook!

May you use this toothpick of common sense in Jesus name.

Please share so that others can be blessed as you are blessed.

Viral amputee hawker set to open supermarket as she turns 27

Mary Daniel, the viral amputee lady who became social media famous after photos of her hawking water in Lagos made rounds online, has revealed that she’s set to establish a supermarket with donations she received from within and outside Nigeria.

Mary shared this on Friday while celebrating her 27th birthday at a lounge in Ikeja, Lagos.

“I feel happy today,” Mary enthused about the event.

Speaking further, Mary said,

“I didn’t celebrate my birthday last year. I am grateful to God for what He has done in my life. I never thought I would mark my birthday in a big way like this.

“People who know me before now have been calling me and making kind remarks about me. They said I have changed for good and they can hardly recognise me again.”

The single mum who has amassed a huge sum of money in donations also spoke on her plan to establish a supermarket.

She said,

“I want to set up a supermarket where I will be selling cartons of noodles, bottled water, drinks, food stuffs and other items. “I plan to employ two of my cousins. One is based in Awka (Anambra) while the other is based in Asaba (Delta).

”They will relocate to Lagos and join me in running the supermarket. As soon as I get my own apartment, I will bring my daughter to Lagos. I hope my story will inspire people in my condition to always try to struggle to earn a living.”

According to her, a non-governmental organisation has decided to pick up the bill of prosthesis to be procured for her.

“The people that will do the artificial leg came on Monday to take the measurement of my leg. They said it would be ready in one month’s time,” she said.

Actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde speaks on rumoured secret affair with Oshiomhole

Veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has reacted to claims of her being in an amorous relationship with former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole.

The Nollywood veteran who is married to Captain Ekeinde, spoke in a recent interview with BBC Yoruba, where she said that she is not one who likes to attend events and insisted that she has never met Oshiomhole before.

Omotola said,

“People do not know that I don’t like to go out. I am either at home or at the office. I only like to go out on official purposes. I don’t know Adams Oshiomhole. I have never met him. End of the story.”

The mother of four went on to say that any lady who does not have a source of livelihood should not consider marriage because she is automatically preparing herself to be imprisoned in the union.

Asked if she would allow any of her children to marry at the age of 18 like she did, to which she answered;

“I was at the age of consent when I got married and above all, I was mature when I met my husband. Currently, I have only one child that is 18 years old, so the question is late. He is a boy and peradventure, he says he wants to get married, I will not allow it because he does not have his own money now.

One must apply wisdom or common sense in everything one does. People cannot say that because I married at 18, therefore they can also do it. The question is, ‘are you ready for marriage’? When I was at that age, I was ready. I had been working since I was 15-years-old and I had become a millionaire at the age of 18. That is a fact that a lot of people don’t know.

“I had my own money. I was not dependent on any man. Moreover, my father died early, so I was already responsible for my younger siblings. I was like their mother at that time, so I was very mature and financially prepared.

One should not marry a man when one is not financially stable. If one does that, one would be going into slavery or better still, prison. If any of my children, after considering all these factors, say they are ready for marriage, we (parents) would meet the person and if we like them, we would give them our blessings.”

“Don’t cancel Baba Ijesha yet, hear his own side of his story” – Actress Abiodun Adebimpe writes

Nollywood actress Abiodun Adebimpe Akintunde has reacted to the ongoing scandal with her colleague, Baba Ijesha, and she’s called for fairness before Judgement.

Recall that Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha was caught on CCTV camera assaulting a fourteen-year-old girl and it has been alleged that he has raped her for the past 7-years.

While others are condemning the actor for the act, the actress has asked that Nigerians should take it easy condemning him until proven guilty.

She wrote ;

“I am NOT supporting Baba Ijesha and I can never support a case of rape. I am a woman and I have a daughter and sisters, I will never pray we get molested.
What I am saying is, CANCEL CULTURE shouldn’t be the first approach to allegations.
HEAR FROM BOTH PARTIES and most importantly, social media isn’t a court of law.
THE EAGERNESS TO SPREAD NEGATIVE NEWS ABOUT CELEBRITIES is a CANCER in Nigeria”.

‘My sister-in-law is among the three Greenfield University students killed by bandits’ – Heartbroken Nigerian man writes presidential aide, Tolu Ogunlesi

A Nigerian man whose sister-in-law, Dorathy Yohanna, is among the three Greenfield University students killed by bandits, took to his Twitter page to pen an emotional letter to Presidential aide, Tolu Ogunlesi.

The man, Yamai, with the Twitter handle, @ydcoal, said his mother-in-law has been unable to eat or even take a shower since Dorathy was abducted on Tuesday April 20.

Read below ;

”Hi @toluogunlesi, my sister-in-law was among the 3 dead students found today from Greenfield University. We are all trying to unpack our feelings. People’s children have become sports for bandits & kidnappers.

I know you get a lot of stick on here And I know you get; people are angry. I’m very angry right now because there’s just so much I don’t understand anymore. What’s the purpose of life as a Nigerian? What’s the sole responsibility of a government for/to the people?

I’m marginalised as a Christian in my state. I go elsewhere and I’m being stereotyped. Today, my sister is dead. I can not, for the life of me, imagine what she went thru in the hands of these evil men before her untimely death. Can you? How do I comfort my wife?

How can a mother bury her child? What’s the purpose of thoughts & prayers? Do we deserve to live and die like this in our own country? Do you understand why some of us choose to be “slaves” elsewhere than “kings” at home?

No jokes here… The pain is unbearable. Everyone deserves the benefit of doubt, but do you think this government still deserves any? I need answers. They still have 20 more kids with some to be killed tomorrow if they don’t get what they’d asked for.

Where do we go from here Tolu? Do we worry about tomorrow? Do we believe in a fair, just and righteous God? My mother-in-law hasn’t eaten or showered in 3 days since her daughter, whom she saw on Monday, got kidnapped & this death was the answer to her prayers.

You’re not the president, I know, but please talk to your boss. The evil we do or our negligence surely does come around one way or the other. That’s the circle of life. Do something!! Bless you!!”
