A woman’s impressive way of carrying two children simultaneously on her back has both intrigued and angered netizens.

As seen in the video which has now gained considerable traction on the internet, the mother uses a wrapper to jointly carry on her back her twin babies.

After the feeling of being impressed by the creativity and dexterity she uses in tying both kids on her back dwindled, netizens expressed concern at the obvious lack of physical comfortability of the babies.

The babies’ heads facing and resting on each other may hinder easy access to oxygen and breathing. Also, the sole back is too narrow to accommodate both as their bodies were too close to each other to suggest comfort.

Many commend the actions of an employee of the Nigeria Aviation Handling Company, who returned the staggering amount of money he found while cleaning a plane.

The employee named, Awul Dankode, a worker at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, was cleaning one of the aircraft when he stumbled on $10,000.

Instead of keeping the money to himself, the honest worker decided to report what he had found to the company’s manager, so that the rightful owner could be found and the money returned.

A security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makaman, posted about the incident on X (Twitter). He mentioned that an investigation was ongoing to find the rightful owner.

He also commended Dankode for his remarkable actions, citing it as a model example of kindness and imploring everyone to try and emulate Dankode’s act, as a little kindness could go a long way. He stated;

“Auwal’s actions serve as a shining example of the positive impact that even small acts of kindness can have.”

His post read;

“This boy, Named Auwal Ahmed Dankode, an employee of Nigeria Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), found $10,000—approximately N16m—Inside a plane while cleaning it.

Upon discovering the money, Auwal immediately reported it to the airline company’s manager to initiate the search for the rightful owner. The incident took place at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport. Auwal, originally from Kode in Kano State, is known for his strong fear of God and honesty.”

The extraordinary births of eleven babies between July 7 and August 14 by a woman who was pregnant for three years and her Nigerian husband has massively shaken the internet space.

This occurred in two separate batches, with a first set of six and the second set of five: eight boys and three girls out of which two (girls) died in the birth process.

The husband, 56-year-old Yahaya Nafiu, who is the Missioner of the Ilorin Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) in Port Novo, Ajasse, and Cotonou said,

“Just a few days after the first set of babies was born, my wife noticed unusual movements in her stomach. When we went to the hospital, a scan revealed she was carrying another set of babies. This led us to return to the original birth attendant, where the second set of five babies was delivered.”

He however lamented that his family is facing financial constraints due to the huge amount of money required to take care of the babies and appealed to both the federal and state governments as well as individuals to come to his aid. In his words,

“One other major challenge that we are now facing before we could bring the children home to Ilorin to show them to my own parents, is how to raise money for the marriage rites, as well as medical bill and police report”

An unidentified nurse simply called as ‘Abiola‘ has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for the death of one of her patients. The patient also unidentified, was reportedly a 36-year-old woman who had gone to the clinic the nurse worked at, for a butt enlargement surgery.

Unfortunately for the lady, things did not go as planned as just a few hours into the operation, the lady started experiencing some complications which inevitably led to her death.

The spokesman of the Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed in a statement released to the press, that the accused nurse was arrested by the Makoro Police Division, after they received a report on Tuesday, at about 11:40 am. This report was given by the driver of the deceased, whose name and identity were not made public.

He made the report around 03:00 am on Monday, some hours after his boss, who resided at Diamond Estate, Sangotedo-Lekki, had asked him to convey her to a clinic located at Lekki Phase 1 for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) injection for buttocks enlargement.

The Lagos State Police spokesperson revealed that the nurse was in their custody and an investigation was currently ongoing;

“On arrival, the owner of the clinic (not mentioned), instructed a nurse to inject the now-deceased lady, who later became unconscious and started gasping for breath. The victim was rescued and rushed to another hospital in Lekki Phase 1 for treatment, where she was confirmed d#ad by the doctor on duty. Based on the report, the scene was visited by a team of detectives.

The hospital was also visited, where the corpse was inspected and photographed before it was evacuated to a public morgue for autopsy”

The former Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad has come online to criticize the popular social media app, TikTok, claiming it has done terrible harm to the security of Nigeria.

He claimed this, in a recent post he had shared on another popular social media app, X (Twitter). In his statement, he criticized the app for being a den of criminals who aim to threaten the lives and security of citizens of the country.

He claims that many criminal groups such as bandits, kidnappers, terrorists, and fraudsters use the app to communicate with other criminals.

In his statement, he went on to urge the Federal Government to come up with stricter regulations that could be used to monitor the content created on the app, ensuring the safety of the country.

”It is alarming that TikTok, a global social media platform, is being utilized by criminals such as bandits, kidnappers, and terrorists in Nigeria to interact with the public and, in some cases, even engage in live conversations defending their heinous activities. The platform is causing more harm than good to our country, as it not only amplifies the voices of these criminals but also emboldens them by providing a space to spread their propaganda and misinformation.

70-year-old woman left with one eye after undergoing facelift surgǝry

As reported by Daily Mail, Dian Keller, a 70-year-old mother of three from Florida, underwent a $13,000 partial facelift in February, motivated by friends who had achieved impressive results from similar procedures.

However, the three-hour surgery left her with debilitating pain and permanent vision loss in one eye. Upon waking up, Keller described the excruciating sensation as if “someone had poured kerosene into my eye and set it on fire,” plunging her into agony.

In addition to her vision problems, she has lost sensation in her forehead and the top of her scalp. Furthermore, an incision has reopened, although she considers these issues minor compared to her eye problems.

Medical professionals attribute her vision issues to the skin being pulled too tightly during the procedure, resulting in her eyelids being unable to close properly.

Some medical professionals have speculated that a chemical may have accidentally been introduced into Ms. Keller’s right eye during the procedure, contributing to her vision problems.

A 26-year-old man named Nicholas has regained his freedom after spending 10 months in prison for allegedly insulting his boss via a resignation text.

The case, highlighted by human rights activist @thefunkeadeoye on X (Twitter), has drawn attention to issues of justice and workplace rights.

Nicholas, a graduate and photographer, decided to resign from his role at a photography studio.

After sending a text to his boss, he was arrested due to the boss’s anger over the message’s content.

He spent 2 days in police detention and ended up being charged with “intentional insult” and detained in a crowded cell with 189 other inmates in Keffi.

Initially, he was granted bail set at 100,000 Naira, later reduced to 50,000 Naira.

However, he couldn’t afford the bail, resulting in his prolonged stay in jail despite his boss, a politician, later withdrawing the charges.

The situation changed when the social justice organization “Hope Behind Bars” learned about Nicholas’s plight.

With the help of a generous donor who anonymously contributed the remaining bail amount, he was finally released.

Lagos State Government Announces the Adoption of E-Birth Registration for Children 5 and Under Starting September

The Lagos State Government just announced a new initiative that will streamline and modernize the birth registration process.

In collaboration with the National Population Commission (NPC), the Lagos State Government is set to commence the Electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (ECRVS) program on the 2nd of September, 2024.

The NPC had started training ad hoc registrars in the various local governments of the state as preparation measures for the upcoming rollout. The recruitment for ad hoc registrars took place last year, 2023.

At the opening of one of these training sessions in Kosofe Local government, the Federal Commissioner representing Lagos State, Mrs. Saidat Oladunjoye, spoke about the various phases of training that volunteers will undergo.

She outlined the steps that the state had taken to ensure smooth operations in the training centers such as the merging of councils for the training sessions, based on the size and numbers of volunteers available.

Speaking on the exercise she stated;
“This exercise is designed to train our ad hoc officials who will be responsible for the registration of births, ensuring we obtain accurate data on children born in Lagos State,”
“The focus will be on registering children under 1 and 5 years of age. Registrations for children under 1 year will take place at hospitals and other institutions where births occur, while those for children under 5 years will be conducted at the community and ward levels.”

A significant improvement that this new initiative will bring about is the automatic issuance of a National Identity Number (NIN) to every registered child.

In her speech, Mrs. Oladunjoye pointed out the importance of making sure every single child is registered through this system, as the data obtained from the initiative will help the government better plan and assign important resources to various sectors such as health, education, etc. which will aid the development of children.

“Through this registration, the government can make informed decisions and create better plans for the future. It will also simplify data retrieval, eliminating the need for paper-based records, which are prone to being lost in transit,”

A Nigerian lady and her friend risked their lives connecting naked cable wire in a public bus during heavy rainfall.

The lady @yettymama1125 shared the ordeal they experienced during a heavy rainfall after they boarded a campus shuttle in Sabo Legere, Ile-Ife, Osun state.

In the video shared online, the lady recorded the driver attempting to connect the cable wire in order to wind up the passenger’s window due to the heavy rainfall.

The driver, however, instructed them to connect it seeing as they were seated close to the window. The naked cable wire was installed to replace the damaged window handle.

The ladies exclaimed suddenly realizing they could be electrocuted if the driver ignited the car engine.

It has been six days since the Nigerian artiste, Dammy Krane was locked behind bars by the Afrobeat star, Davido for defamation of character.

Recall that the fight between the duo started in 2023 after Dammy Krane called Davido out over an alleged debt when they both did a song collaboration.

It however grew more serious when Krane publicly accused Davido of being responsible for his friend, Tagbo’s death. This he published over and over again on his social media accounts until Davido recently took the step of detaining him for libel.

The online activist, VeryDarkMan interfered in this recent video, pleading with Davido to forgive Dammy and release him from police custody. He said that he, that is Davido, is not an oppressor and acted unlike character but was not to be blamed for the step he took.

He however begs that a second chance be given to the man in the cell, who he vouched would apologize when released.

A Nigerian bride has captured social media attention as she reduced her long wedding dress train after her church claimed it was seductive during the wedding ceremony.

The video capturing the bride’s exciting mood during her video shoot displayed her beautiful wedding dress with a long train laid out on the stairway.

Regardless of how modest the wedding dress appeared, her church which happened to be a popular Nigerian church opposed the long train with a claim of it being seductive at the sacred altar.

The young bride disclosed that she had to fix her wedding dress train into a bustle by fastening the train to the rest of the dress for the wedding to hold.

A Nigerian man has gone the extra mile to protect his spouse as he buys a spinning bike for his wife after she informed him of her plans to register at a gym.

The lady @nursepresh76 noted that her husband’s reaction to her gym registration is a typical instance of Igbo men protecting their wife’s endowed physique from other men jealously.

She wrote,

“I told my husband I wanted to register for gym, he immediately went to get gym equipment cos he didn’t want gym instructors to touch my Azz [sic]”

She mentioned that her husband took an unexpected action by purchasing the gym equipment for her indoor exercise, on account of gym instructors intentionally touching her buttocks.

The viral clip revealed a young man coupling the spinning bike together after unboxing the packaged equipment.

The body of an 8-year-old Nigerian boy, Ryan Akagbusi, was found in a lake in Texas a day after he went missing.

On August 25th, 2024, the residents of Richmond in Fort Bend County, Texas, US were plunged into shock and mourning after the body of an eight-year-old Nigerian boy, Ryan Akagbusi was found in a lake near the area.

The body was found just a day after he went missing from his home on August 24th, 2024. The residents of the community had been diligently searching for the boy after an Amber alert was issued on that same day.

His mother had reported his disappearance to the local authorities and a search ensued with missing posters placed around the town. The poster showed the boy along with the necessary information, it described Ryan as an autistic and non-verbal minor.

She also shared surveillance footage of his last known appearance with the statement;

“My friends and family are here —the whole neighbourhood. Police are here. We’ve had K9. We’ve had helicopters. We’ve had drones go around. We’ve gone door to door. Everybody is here. The whole Lakemont is here,”

During the search before his body was found, residents of the community had offered to help in the search efforts, flooding the county Sheriff’s Office’s official Facebook page, and asking for any information that could help in locating the little boy.

Unfortunately despite the extensive effort that was poured into searching for the child, they were only able to discover a dead body which was later identified as Ryan.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office had to officially announce on their Facebook page that Ryan had been “located by Texas EquuSearch this morning”. His body was retrieved from the lake near his last known location, this tragic news brought about an end to the search.
