As tonight caps the final day of the fifth edition of the Big Brother Naija: Lockdown show with …. emerging as winner of the show, it apparently was a fierce battle among the fans as they put in their all to vote for their favourite housemates.
T’was a quite distant gap between Laycon and Dorathy for him to emerge winner of the show. The distance in the percentage gap definitely has to be record-breaking as it shows that Laycon has the strongest fanbase of the season.
The finale show saw finalists, Vee, Neo and Nengi coming in at fourth, third and second runner-up respectively.

Moments ago Ebuka asked Dorathy to finally spill the tea on who she liked the most when she was still in the Big Brother house and the 24 year old, who initially tried to play smart, said “Ebuka” but when Ebuka asked her to be serious, she revealed it was Brighto.
She had earlier stated that if she made it into the Big Brother house, then she would reveal the guy that she liked most in the house and not so surprisingly, it’s Brighto.
Nengi has emerged the second runner-up of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown Season.
This is coming after Neo and Vee were evicted and emerged third and fourth runner-ups respectively.

Although the Bayelsa born model becomes the second housemate to garner 1million followers in the Big Brother Naija, she has officially joined Kiddwaya and Laycon as the only three ‘lockdown’ housemates to hit 1 million followers on Instagram.

Today, Sunday 27th of September, 2020 marks the finale of the Big Brother Naija: Lockdown show and while viewers are —as at the time of filing this report— anticipating the winner of the fifth edition of the show, we can’t help but notice the gorgeous outfits the former housemates of the show donned to the event.
The lockdown housemates who didn’t make it to the finale of the show as they faced evictions in weeks prior, were invited to grace the final live eviction show where the winner will be announced.

Neo has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija house.
Show-host, Ebuka had earlier announced his romantic partner, Vee, as the first of the finalists to leave the house. Ebuka would return moments later to announce Neo’s name as the next housemate to leave the BBNaija house.
Neo was satisfied with his journey in the house and just like Big Brother earlier said, it has been a Cinderella for all the housemates.
In his last diary session, Neo told Biggie that he feels that he shouldn’t go home, he should rather just stay in Biggie’s House once the show is over. He admitted that the show has been a major cruise. He likened it to a free of charge vacation where you don’t have to do much, you can eat as much as you like, and you meet nice people. He added that he doesn’t feel as if he is in Naija right now. He also thanked Biggie because the House helped him explore himself and brought him out of his shell. He closed off by saying that at the end of the day he came here to be somebody and to do that he has to continue doing whatever it is he has to do.
Show-host, Ebuka announced her name as the first of the finalists to leave the house.
Vee, by virtue of being a finalist, emerged the fourth runner-up of the reality show.
In her final diary session, Vee told Biggie that it has been an emotional ride but it has also been fun, fun, fun! She said that all the ups and downs were enjoyable and she has no regrets. If she scoops the prize during the Live Show tonight, she would give some of the money to her mother. Her mother was the biggest motivator behind her Big Brother journey, and save the emainder of the money. She closed off their chat by saying she is 100% content and hoped that she didn’t cause too much trouble for him.
In a recent conversation that ensued among the housemates, Nengi revealed that she cannot date Kid because she can only be attracted to guys who are clean.
The model backed up her claims by citing an example of when she entered the head of house lounge after Kiddwaya and met the whole place dirty.
Meanwhile, Dorathy claimed that the billionaire son’s bedside was always littered, all through his stay in the house.
Neo and others agreed with her, adding that Kidd doesn’t bath well because he is dirty.
Recall that after Kiddwaya’s eviction from the big brother house, he constantly claimed nobody in the house was up to his level.
Kiddwaya further expressed his high self-esteem and said he wasn’t threatened by any one in the house as none of the housemates were a match for him.
“I am my own man and I am comfortable in my skin.
“I don’t fear anybody. Nobody in the house was up to my level, so I wasn’t threatened by anyone” he said
Nollywood actor Mike Ezuruonye has taken to his social media page to berate popular filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan for sharing screenshot of a DM he got in which he (Mike) was tagged a fraudster.
In the screenshot Kunle Afolayan shared, Mike Ezuruonye was accused of scamming women.
Mike Ezuruonye frowned at Kunle’s action and stated that people have been impersonating entertainers to defraud people all around the world. He also recalled how a fraudster who impersonated him was arrested months ago by the EFCC.
The actor further accused Kunle Afolayan of hating Igbos and also recounted how the filmmaker said years ago that “Igbos are the ones spoiling the movie industry and he doesn’t like casting them.”

Nigerian music executive, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has signed a new artiste, Deinde, to his record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).

Plus size Nollywood actress, Ifeoma Okeke-Ozzoude, has opened up on why she embarked on a weight loss journey.
According to the thespian, the death of a plus-size friend forced her into ”doing something about her size”.
Speaking in a recent interview with Vanguard, Ifeoma said: “When I heard the news of her death, I immediately rushed to her house, where her neighbours narrated the horrible story of how they were struggling to bring her out of the house, while she was gasping for breath.
At that point, something just struck my head that if I am sick now, how would people bring me out of the house.
You know there’s this realization point. I have never felt my weight before. It has never bothered me in my life. I can stand from now till tomorrow I won’t feel it. I can do anything, I am that flexible with myself.

Actress Ese Eriata recently took to her social media page to advise her fans on the importance of not basing one’s happiness on “money”.

Big brother Naija 2020 finalist, Nengi could not hold back tears last night after she was ignored by her closest friend Ozo at their finale Saturday party.
The final Saturday night party in this year’s big brother naija house saw a little bit of reunion as previously evicted housemates were invited to have a final groove with the finalists.
Nengi was however convinced that they all ignored her including her closest friend in the house, Ozo. After the party, Nengi broke down in tears as she explained to fellow housemates, Neo, Vee, Laycon and Dorathy that Ozo ignored her.
Reacting on the issue, DJ Kaywise opined that Ozo has lost whatever chance he may have had to be with Nengi.

Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dikeh, has poured encomium on her colleague, Jim Iyke, who turned a new age yesterday.

BBNaija finalist, Olamilekan Agbeleshe, simply referred to as Laycon has revealed intentions immediately he steps out of this house.
The BBNaija housemate and upcoming singer said the first thing he will do when he returns home after the show is take his mum to the hospital for medical check-up.
The 26-year-old rapper from Lagos State disclosed this while having a conversation with his fellow housemates and finalists.

LAYCON instantly became a trending topic on micro-blogging website, Twitter. He was deemed to be the type of Nigerian youth that would be an easy target for police harassments and other palaver.
However, things started taking a different twist upon the discovery that the young man is a very promising rapper with a philosophical brain (Mad oo)
Laycon’s fans was birthed and they tagged themselves ”THE ICONS”, it was a whole new level of stanning for the UNILAG graduate.

A 26-year-old man, Chisom Ogum, has been arrested by men of the Anambra state police command for allegedly killing his biological father, Christopher Ogum, 70, and burying him in a shallow grave in Umuomaku community in Orumba South local government area of the state today September 26.
According to reports, Chisom reportedly went berserk, attacked, and killed his father with a shovel and then buried him in a shallow grave. The suspect attempted to escape before he was apprehended and beaten to stupor by an angry mob who equally forced him to exhume the corpse of his father from where he buried it.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed, said police detectives visited the scene of the crime, photographed the victim and took the corpse to the mortuary for autopsy after it was certified dead by a medical doctor at Umunze general hospital.
Haruna said the offensive weapon used in perpetrating the offence was also recovered as an exhibit.
He added that the state Commissioner of Police CP John B.Abang has ordered for the case to be transferred to the State CID Awka for discreet investigation.

A man and his ex-girlfriend have broken up after he found out that she slept with a married man to pay his school fees.

Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ housemate, Neo has told fellow housemate, Laycon that he behaves like Ozo to his like interest, Vee.
He made the comparison during a conversation with Laycon on Friday night. Laycon had approached him to discuss the recent issues with Vee and their relationship in the house.
Neo explaining his feelings, said the way he has acted far towards Vee is just as Ozo did to Nengi.
He claimed to have given himself to Vee and has been taking care of her just like Ozo did for Nengi but she never appreciated his efforts.
Neo said: “Since I got into this house, I tried to show Vee love and care for her. I’m just like Ozo because we both believe in giving of ourselves even with little returns.
“I’ve made breakfast for Vee like Ozo has for Nengi many times but if Vee feels I’m not important enough to build a life together, then it’s okay.
“Nengi is always appreciative of Ozo’s action but Vee always complains.”
Anthony Jefferson, the hero dad who was shot while protecting his 3 children from a shooter at a car dealership has been fired from his two jobs.
The loving father was shot in the right thigh when he used himself as a human shield to protect his kids during the shooting inside a Bronx car dealership.
His wife, Danica Jefferson revealed to TMZ that her husband is currently unable to walk after suffering a gunshot wound when a gunman started shooting in the dealership earlier this week.
Danica added that due to her husband’s inability to walk at the moment, he has been fired from his two jobs as head painter at a maintenance company and as a construction worker in New York City.
Anthony has been discharged from the hospital, but still has the bullet lodged in his leg, and Danica says he’ll need another surgery in the near future.
She went further to disclose that their three children – aged 6, 5, and 2 – are also suffering from trauma after having witnessed the shooting.
The mom says her kids are reluctant to go outside and they cry in their sleep while the youngest asks; “Why did the man shoot my daddy?”
The family is hoping to get their kids in to see a therapist as soon as possible.
The frustration and desperation that builds up in a young person after acquiring different certificates and yet find it hard to secure a job can cause him/her to make irrational decisions.
The aforementioned has seemingly caused a young man from Katsina state identified as Usman Abubakar to burn all his certificates including National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) University degree, WAEC.
According to reports on various Hausa Facebook pages, the frustrated young graduate burnt all the certificates because he was unable to secure a job since he left school.
Usman is not the first Nigerian graduate to do this, recall that in 2019, a graduate burnt all his certificates, saying school is the biggest scam in the world.
