The Accra region commander of Ghana Police Service (GPS), Afful Boakye-Yiadom, has advised his colleagues to reduce their sexual rounds ahead of the country’s general elections.

According to him reducing their sex rounds ahead of the elections will help them to effectively discharge their duties.

He gave the advise during a route march held by the police service to show its readiness for the elections.

In his words,

“Control yourself, we all need the energy to work during the election I, therefore, advise all of you to eat well, reduce your sexual rounds for you to get the energy to work well before, during and after 2020 elections”.

Nigerian Air Force immortalizes late flying female officer, Tolulope Arotile

The Nigerian Air Force has immortalised the late first female combat helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile who died at the age of 23 years after sustaining head injuries from a road traffic accident in Kaduna.

Arotile whose death came not more than a year after she was winged as a combat helicopter pilot in the Air Force following the completion of her course in South Africa was immortalised in appreciation to her invaluable contributions to the fight against armed banditry and other criminal act in the country.

The Air Force has immortalised the deceased by naming a Pilots Crew ‘Room’ at the 115 Special Operations Group (115 SOG) Port Harcourt after her.

The Air Force spokesman, Ibikunle Daramola made this known in a statement that was issued on Tuesday , September 22nd, 2020.

Speaking during the commissioning of a newly constructed Block of 18 x two-bedroom flats for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) as well as a water project, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, noted that immortalizing late Flying Officer Arotile was done, not only to honour her memory but also to further inspire young girls in Nigeria to study, work hard and pursue their dreams and legitimate aspirations with pride and honour.

In his words,

“It is gratifying to note that, since late Tolulope’s demise, many young Nigerian girls have indicated their interest to join the NAF.

“Besides, no fewer than 12 other female officers, who have undoubtedly been motivated by her inspirational life and the unprecedented and exemplary contributions by other female and male pilots, are currently undergoing flying training, both within and outside the Country, to become NAF pilots.” He added.

Nigerian car dealer, Chidi has gotten back at Bobrisky for referring to him as a broke yahoo boy and alleging that he was using Erica to chase clout.

There has been a lot of back and forth between Mr. Chidi and the management of disqualified BBNaija housemate, Erica and Bobrisky is also now in the mix.

The genesis of the matter was when Erica’s management called out the car dealer for failing to live up to his promise to gift Erica a car and the sum of 2 million naira.

An infuriated Chidi revolted and claimed that the disqualified housemate and her team were ungrateful, adding that they won’t go far in life if they continue with their attitude.

It is in the wake of this that Bobrisky called Mr. Chidi a ‘broke yahoo boy’ and labelled his promise as an “audio promise”.

Chidi, who seems to have a very quick temper has gotten back at Bobrisky. According to him, he would rather be a internet fraudseter than be gay, adding that he would deal with Bobrisky anywhere he sees him in Nigeria.

Man sells his twin babies for N150,000 in Anambra

A 31-year-old man, known as Chijioke Chukwulota reportedly sold his twin babies for N150,000 in Anambra state.

It was learnt that suspect deceived the mother of the twin babies to his house where he stole the babies and instantly sold them to the waiting buyer.

Howeever, Chukwulota has been arrested by the police in Anambra state for selling the twin babies born to him by his ex-girlfriend.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Haruna Mohammed states that Chijioke allegedly lured his ex-girlfriend to his home on August 8 and stole the children (twins baby girls) aged about two months and sold them to one Tina Ibeato, 31, of Imo State at the rate of one hundred and fifty thousand(#150,000)Naira only.

The police spokesman disclosed that the suspects have been arrested and the children recovered in good condition.

According to him, investigation is ongoing into the matter and the suspects would be brought to book soon

However, this revelation has taken a new toll as many fans of the musician have taken to Twitter to accuse former housemate Erica of body shaming Laycon despite knowing he was sickle cell.

According to many fans, Erica was the only housemate that knew about Laycon’s genotype before now and used it against during their fight in the house.

Twitter users claims that during the fight Erica stated that Laycon would die before 50years because he hasn’t taken his drug for weeks.

Bobrisky, popular Nigerian cross dresser and a big fan of Erica has taken to Instagram to slam car dealer, Chidi who promised to gift the house mate a car and two million naira, but failed to fulfill his promise.

Earlier this morning, the management of former BBNaija housemate, Erica Nweledim have called out one Mr. Chidi Mike, the man who promised her N2million and a car.

Mike Premium, who identified himself as a talent manager, took to his social media page to reveal that Chidi hasn’t fulfilled his promise to her.

Man acquires plot of land on the moon as wedding gift for his wife

A Pakistani man identified as Sohaib Ahmed, has acquired a plot of land on the moon for his wife as wedding gift, to show that when he says he can do anything for her, he means every word.

Ahmed who married his heartthrob six months ago, bought a one-acre plot of land on the moon as a wedding present for his wife, Madiha.

The loving husband who lives in Rawalpindi, bought the lunar land in the region called ‘Sea of Vapour’, he reportedly bought the land for $45 from the International Lunar Settlement Initiative (LSI).

However, the LSI noted that for a land claim to be granted legal recognition and certification, a human-based settlement must be established permanently and continuously inhabited on Luna.

The statement of the LSI site reads,

“The location and population of the settlement may change, as long as there continues to be an inhabited settlement within the claim. This settlement may include temporary shelters and structures; moveable vehicles or assemblies; permanent facilities for research, mining, construction or human habitation; tourist accommodations; and/or strategic emplacements.

“Upon the recognition and certification of land claims, property owners shall be entitled to inhabit and develop their property in any manner, subject to any laws or statutes that may be established by the sovereign and independent government of Luna, which shall be freely elected by its citizens.”

NLC set to shutdown Nigeria with protest over fuel and electricity tariff hike

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) on Tuesday, has declared plans to embark on a nationwide strike and mass protest beginning on September 28.

The protest is targeted at compelling the Federal Government to reverse the recent increase in the pump price of petrol and electricity tariff.

The Federal Government had recently increased the prices of petrol to N160 per litre, signifying full deregulation of fuel price regime which will now be controlled by forces of supply and demand at the international market.

The government also increased electricity tariff by over 100 percent.

A meeting between the NLC and Federal Government held last week was inconclusive as the government insisted that the price increase will remain.

In lieu of this, the National Executive Council held a meeting on Tuesday and have declared that the mother of all protest would kick-off on September 28,2020.

National President of NLC, Ayuba Wabba said there was no going back on the massive protest as the government had refused to yield to their demand.

According to him, all Chairmen of NLC in the 36 states of the federation had agreed that the protest should go on to force the government to reverse the unwarranted hike.

Many feared dead as petrol tanker explodes in Lokoja

Many are feared to have lost their lives after a petrol-laden tanker exploded in Felele area of Lokoja Kogi state, in the early hours of Wednesday, September 23rd.

According to eye witnesses, the tanker exploded around 8:00 a.m., when the driver lost control of the tanker and rammed into a coming vehicles.

Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State, in the early hours of today, September 23rd, 2020.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed not less than 23 casualties, which included a family of six, adding that eleven bodies have been claimed by relatives, while others are in the Kogi State Specialist morgue.

It was learnt that for over one hour after incident, the state fire service were yet to visit the scene.

However, The governor of Kogi state sent his condolence to the victims of the unfortunate incident in a statement that was signed by the state spokesman.

Recall that in May a similar incident occurred in Lagos after a petrol-laden tanker exploded while maneuvering the roundabout under the bridge this evening. The tanker fell on its side and exploded just in front of a fuel station.

BBNaija: Laycon reveals his biggest fear outside the house

Big Brother Naija lockdown housemate, Olamilekan Agbeleshe otherwise known as Laycon has revealed his biggest fear when he gets outside the Big brother house on Sunday.

During a conversation with Nengi on Tuesday, Laycon said his biggest fear is getting trolled and insulted on social media.

In his words, “I’m scared of trolls trying to say hurtful things about me and those I care about when we get out of here on Sunday.”

In response, Nengi advised Laycon to develop thick skin to the insults, adding that she has had similar experiences before and was used to handling such situations.

She said, “I have developed a thick skin so negative words won’t affect me. I have been trolled before so it is not new to me.”

In a recent post, Laycon has opened up about his genotype to his fellow housemates, stating that he’s “SC” and doesn’t like to share the information with people to avoid pity.

The musician further explained that although he has hemoglobin that carries symptoms similar to those of Sickle Cell disease, they are dormant in his own case.

Family left in shock after their house gate gets stolen

There are many cases of people waking up to find their car, generator, parts of their car, and other electronics or gadgets being stolen but one case which shocked a family in South Africa involves their house gate.

Nothing could have prepared the family for the rude shock that awaited them in the morning as they woke up to discover their house gate had been stolen.

Kamo Marven, a lady and member of the said family shared the story on social media and revealed the they woke o see their gate gone.

Sharing a photo as seen above, of the entrance to their home without the gate, Marven cried out and called for their gate to be returned.

This offer is open to individuals interested in acting, cinematography, script writing, Makeup, directing, etc.

Bukunmi shared the flyer and wrote,

Big Brother Naija housemate, Laycon has opened up about his genotype to his fellow housemates, stating that he’s “SC” and doesn’t like to share the information with people to avoid pity.

The musician further explained that although he has hemoglobin that carries symptoms similar to those of Sickle Cell disease, they are dormant in his own case.

In his words,

“My genotype is SC.. It’s a sickle cell genotype but it’s dormant.

“I don’t like to tell people my genotype because I feel they will think I’m sick.”

An inquisitive Dorathy, asked if his genotype is the reason for his small body frame.

She said, “guess that is why you are thin”.

Popular Nollywood actress, Nnaji Charity has taken to Instagram to claim that most female housemates of the Big Brother Naija reality Tv are usually fortified with “Kayamata” before going into house.

Kayamata are herbs or potions that act as sex or love enhancers, however many people are of the opinion that these portions are charms.

According to the actress, “Kayamata” is the reason Ozo was obsessed with Nengi throughout his stay in the house.

She wrote,

“Most of all this girls that goes into the Bbn house are usually fortified with kayamata before going into the house. OZO SORRY MY BROTHER, next time be very carefully”.

Big Brother Naija is a reality show in which contestants live in an isolated house. The winner is expected to walk away with ₦85 million grand prize.

The BBNaija lockdown edition opened the house to twenty housemates in July and 10 of the housemates were females.

The female housemates in the Lockdown edition of the show are; Dorathy, Erica, Ka3na, Kaisha, Lilo, Lucy, Nengi, Tolanibaj, Vee and Wathoni.

The management of former BBNaija housemate, Erica Nweledim have called out one Mr. Chidi Mike, the man who promised her N2million and a car.

Mike Premium, who identified himself as a talent manager, took to his social media page to reveal that Chidi hasn’t fulfilled his promise to her.

In his words ;

“He promised to give Erica N2m and a car but now he’s changing everything. He said he’ll give Erica N500k and she will need to sign a contract, then the car will come in next year and he will balance her the remaining N1.5m later,” Mike said, telling Chidi to delete the post of his promise to Erica so as not to mislead people.

Nigerian socio-political commentator, Reno Omokri has challenged viewers of the ongoing Big Brother Naija lockdown show to mention one moral lesson they have learnt from the show.

According to him, Nigerians have lost focus from reality. They are focusing their efforts on campaigning for BBNaija housemates, instead of directing the energy towards other productive endeavours.

Taking to his Instagram page, he wrote,

You use your profile to campaign for your #BBNaija housemate. You even wear their branded T-Shirt and hold watch parties. Wrong focus. If you had put in this same effort towards selling a product, or promoting your business, you could have been a millionaire example of sell to excel by now!

A Nigerian lady has expressed disappointment in her boyfriend for questioning her decision to withdraw N60k from his account without his permission.

In a leaked WhatsApp chat between the couple, it was gathered that the lady identified as Esther who has access to her boyfriend’s ATM card, withdraw N60,000 and didn’t bother telling him until he received a debit alert.

The boyfriend who was furious about it, asked her never to withdraw money from his account without seeking his permission.

However, Esther who felt entitled to the money, and angry at her boyfriend, told him she has every right to withdraw money from his account anytime any day without his permission so far as she remains his girlfriend.

Nigerian comedienne, Helen Paul is reportedly taking a postdoctoral programme in an undisclosed university in the United States of America.

This is coming a year after she became the first Nigerian stand-up comedian to bag a doctorate degree. Recall that Helen Paul completed her Ph.D. programs in Théâtre Arts from the University of Lagos in 2019.

According to new reports by The Nation, Helen Paul is on the verge of becoming a professor.

A source speaking to the publication said,

“Yes, Helen Paul has been shuttling between Nigerian and the US for some months now. While studying to become a Professor, she is also working as a lecturer in one of the institutions in the US.

“She is really an inspiration to this generation because combining these academic feats with her comedy career in Nigeria is no child’s play.”

In a related post, Helen Paul has expressed excitement in anticipation of becoming the first stand-up Comedian to be a PH.d holder.

Taking to social media, Helen Paul thanked God for the achievement and invited everyone to her convocation ceremony.

Big Brother Naija housemate and model, Nengi has revealed that she stopped crushing on the Mavin boss, Don Jazzy, because he ignored her message on Instagram when she sent him a DM in 2013.

The Bayelsa born model, stated that she used to be very interested in Don Jazzy while she was a secondary school student.

She was prompted to make this disclosure after fellow housemate, Laycon claimed that the popular singer seem to like Nengi because of the way he called her name when he addressed the housemates.

In response, Nengi stated that the singer doesn’t like her, adding that she messaged him in 2013 and he ignored her message.

In her words,

“ I don’t think Don Jazzy likes me, but if you say he does then I like him too.
