“I hardly fall ill and so when I left the set and started having chills the next day or so, I knew something wasn’t right. I thought it might be stress. This was on Monday, August 3. I waited till Tuesday and it got worse. I was shaking uncontrollably and my temperature was going through the roof.”

“My spirit told me immediately, this is not malaria or fever. I have been extremely careful and paranoid about this COVID-19 stuff. So I told hubby I needed to be tested immediately. I have a son that has Asthma!”

“They came to test me on Wednesday and my result came out on Thursday evening … Positive. My world crashed. I felt crazy and empty.”

“My symptoms were high fever and chills… luckily no other. But it was so bad, they contemplated coming to evacuate me as my viral loaf was high and I wasn’t getting better … but God arose for me. I went into isolation immediately. We got my result but my daughter started feeling funny.”

Omotola narrates

“So they had to come test the whole family … I had infected my daughter and asthmatic son ! My God showed up for me as my son is asymptotic, so positive but not sick ! My daughter lost her smell and taste and had severe diarrhea. All has stopped now, thank God.”

“My husband and last son tested negative respectively. We are all now in remission … taking another test soon.”

“It’s physically, spiritually and emotionally exhausting as the doctors tell you it’s a 50/50 chance . Nothing you do really saves you . You can only take the vitamins, manage the symptoms and hope your body fights,”

Man ties up ex-wife and make her watch as he mutilates her boyfriend’s penis with a sword

A Spanish man reportedly tied up his ex-wife with electric cables and forced her to watch him mutilate her new partner’s penis with a samurai sword at their holiday home in Portugal.

Carlos Sande Fidalgo and his former wife, Nuria Rodriguez Gonzalez, are said to have split in March of 2020. However, he couldn’t accept the end of the relationship, so he attacked her boyfriend after which he killed himself in a murder-suicide.

Carlos Sande Fidalgo ended his life by throwing himself off a nearby bridge after murdering his ex-wife’s boyfriend, Luis Miguel Fernandez. Police launched a manhunt when the woman, Nuria Rodriguez Gonzalez, managed to free herself after being made to witness her 53-year-old boyfriend’s horrific murder.

The search ended when detectives discovered the sole suspect had ended his own life. The tragic incident, which took place in a small Portuguese village of Gondufe, near the country’s northern border with Spain, was still under investigation on Saturday August 15, as the full horror of the murder-suicide began to emerge.

The body of the alleged assassin, a real estate businessman based in the Galician city of Vigo, was found on Wednesday morning, August 19.

According to local reports, police investigators suspect Nuria’s ex-husband placed a GPS tracker on her car so he could follow her movements following their split earlier this year.

Police sources said everything was pointing to the alleged killer breaking into the property his ex and her new partner were renting after tracking them down, and acting out of jealousy following his failure to accept the end of his marriage and his former wife’s new relationship.

On the day he attacked, Fidalgo had his ex-wife’s hands tied behind her back with electric cables. He then made her watch as he mutilated her boyfriend’s genitals for about six hours with weapons including knives and another described as a Japanese sword known as a katana.

Police were alerted after the alleged killer left the property and his ex, who needed hospital treatment for shock and injuries caused by the ties around her wrists and legs, managed to alert the authorities.

He is understood to have fled the scene of the crime in his ex-wife’s jeep before deliberately crashing it near the property and switching to a black BMW 740 he owned which was found near the bridge.

His body was found around 10am on Wednesday August 19, by coastguards participating in the search along with police.

Prostitution 101: How To Be A Prostitute In Nigeria

  • Prostitution 101: Just in case you’re getting bored of your regular 9-5… let’s hit you up with some pro tips on how to become a versed commercial sex worker in Nigeria.
  • First, let’s start with a story!

Busola, a tech engineer working at a top ranking IT firm in Lekki, is anything but a regular woman. After bagging a scholarship to study computer engineering at a top UK university, she graduated Summa Cum Laude at the age of 23 before returning to Nigeria where she secured employment at the firm she presently works. At just 27, Busola is living her best life — a house in Lekki, a brand-new car and enough money to sustain her.

Known to be a jovial person every other day, Busola doesn’t have that same energy when she attends functions, particularly family and church functions. At a particular function with her family members, Busola donned a thigh high split skirt which caught her aunt’s attention. The latter would later hit her with some really sharp and bitter words over her choice of dressing — words that could throw her into a state of depression.

On the internet, Busola flaunts her good life, but the happiness is usually cut short when even young people come to the comment section to tag her ‘small girl, big God’. These people don’t even know her, they have no idea what she’s been through or where she’s coming from.

A lot of young Nigerian women can relate to Busola’s story as it’s become commonplace for them to be judged by what they wear, where they live, if they live alone, if they are clubbers, own a car, lead an extravagant lifestyle and more.

The mindset of a lot people in Nigeria today is that any lady in her 20s and early 30s who leads a kind of expensive lifestyle —cars, clothes housing and all— can only be involved in one profession, “prostitution”.

Now, as stated in our headline, welcome to this course, Prostitution 101, here are some of the things you need to do or have to be tagged a “prostitute” in Nigeria

    Have a banging body:

“Thick girls rock, thick girls rock” the same can’t be said for thick Nigerian girls.

In Nigeria, any young lady with a banging body—that hourglass figure— who flaunts it, is considered a prostitute. Society sees them as expensive and naturally believes they need the profession to maintain their body.

    Own a car:

This should even top the list, cause ‘how can you be a young lady in Nigeria and own a car?’

Society has stereotyped ladies who own cars as those who have sugar daddies because the maintenance of their car can only be funded by a “glucose guardian”.
They’re of the notion that a lady with a decent job can’t afford a car. Hence the need to tag anyone with one, a prostitute.

    Wear anklet

    Prostitution 101

When you’re in dire need of the “prostitute” tag, just wear anklets. Anklets are so called ankle chains, they are ornaments worn around the ankle. But in Nigeria an anklet is a symbol of prostitution.

    Tattoos:

    Prostitution 101

Tattoos are seen as taboo, in the Nigerian culture. They’re believed to be a culture from the western world. Any lady with a tattoo is prone to being tagged a prostitute. Society doesn’t believe you can have tattoos and still be decent.

    Have multiple piercings

    Prostitution 101

The number of morally acceptable piercings in our society is one, at most two. Any lady with more than one piercing is seen as the Commanding Officer of prostitutes in Nigeria. Tweak it up a bit by piercing your tongue, nose, navel, or any other part of the body. Multiple piercing in Nigeria automatically promotes you to the position of Grand Commander in the Order of the Federal Republic of Prostitutes. You have earned yourself GCFR without being the president.

Go to a lounge or bar alone

…or with your female friends, now finish work by shaking small bum bum or try to chew gum while sipping your drink. You’ll definitely get an offer for the night. Don’t be surprised!… that’s one of the ways you know you’re on track in passing the “Prostitution 101” course.

    Use Contraceptives:

    Prostitution 101

“olosho no wan born pikin” the fact that you’re being careful in stopping an unwanted pregnancy will have some pharmacists think of you as a prostitute… they might not say it out loud, but it’s in their head or in gossip.

All these and more can have people dub you as a prostitute… A lot of Nigerians are always so swift to dub a lady a sex worker because of various despicable reasons…

But should that always be the case? Should a lady be forced to conform to a particular mode of dressing? Should a lady like Busola, who earns a good income, be afraid to spend it so as not to be tagged a “prostitute”? Can one live like Busola and still maintain a decent and acceptable existence?

Naturally, society puts lots of pressure on the female gender, ‘you are a woman; you shouldn’t do this, you shouldn’t wear this, you shouldn’t hold that position” the list goes on.

Labeling young women “prostitutes” because of their success or lifestyle can drive them into depression, or even cause low self esteem. A successful woman shouldn’t always have to justify her means. Let’s stop the gender stereotype, we can do better as a society.

If you have kids for my husband, come forward for a DNA test – Liz Anjorin

Popular yoruba actress, Liz Anjorin has issued a challenge for any woman who claims to have kids for her husband.

Recall that shortly after their wedding, some women came out with claims that he is married to them as well and that they have several kids for him.

Liz Anjorin has now asked any woman who has such claim to come forward with a DNA test.

    Speaking with Punch, Liz said;

”There is no pressure on my husband. Truthfully, the worst thing that anyone can do to a person has been done to me. Some people can’t survive what I have gone through. If my husband was a new person to me, there is a high tendency that he would have been tired. Thank God I married my best friend.

Those ladies that have claimed that my husband is theirs have not reached out to us and none of them has brought the children to us. I have challenged them openly as well. All these people saying these things are only taking advantage of my husband because he is a nice man. Everyone should bring their child forward for a DNA test. We both had children before we got married but he was never married to anyone. My husband is not a small boy, moreover, my first daughter is older than his.”

Man arrested for allegedly defiling his 15 year old daughter; claims he wanted to check if she is still a virgin

The police in Lagos state have arrested a 40-year-old man, Gbenga Taiwo, for allegedly defiling his 15-year-old daughter under the pretext he wanted to check if she was still a virgin.

According to reports, Taiwo who is a widower, lived in a rented apartment at Baruwa, Ipaja area of Lagos State with his daughter. He allegedly started molesting his daughter when she was 13 years old.

The Coordinator of a child rights group, Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network, Ebenezer Omejalile, who has been following up with the case, told City Round that the victim got tired of the abuse and reported to her landlord who cautioned her father but he refused to stop.

“The girl said she had been constantly abused by her father since she was 13. He is about 40 years old and a retired electricity worker. Before the intervention of the girl’s maternal uncle, one Mr Alagba, the girl got tired of the wickedness of her father and informed their landlord who confronted the father to stop the evil act and he let him know the consequence of his action.

But the suspect turned a deaf ear to it and kept doing it to the extent that whenever he was on night duty, he went to the office with girl to keep having her to his satisfaction. The man claimed that he saw some pictures in his daughter’s phone and suspected that she was wayward. He said he did not have sex with her but only used his finger to check if she is a virgin or not.”

Family members of the suspect claim he is mentally unstable and was checked into a private rehabilitation center in Ise Oluwa Hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun State in 2018.

Confirming his arrest, the spokesperson of the state police command, Bala Elkana, said a test would be carried out to determine the mental state of the suspect.

Nigerian man recounts how he was harassed in Ibadan simply because he ‘looked gay’

    Nigerian man recounts

A Nigerian man has recounted how he was physically assaulted in Ibadan, Oyo state, by a lady and her boyfriend because he ‘looked gay’.

    Nigerian man recounts

    The man narrating the sad experience took to his Twitter handle @BodilawFortune, to share his story;

”I initially didn’t want to do this, but I think it’s necessary to save other people from unnecessary stigmatization. In Ibadan today, I was assaulted by a man and his girlfriend after they gave me a free ride.

I was at Elebu Market to see someone at a restaurant. Unfortunately for me, the fellow didn’t show up and I had just N50 with me which I used to buy water, hoping the person will show up.

After waiting for like 2 hours, I decide to leave as they were already looking at me 1kind

But since I didn’t have money, I decided to trek home. But what I thought was a blessing turn out to be a curse. I stopped a car with 3 occupants and asked them if they were heading towards Orita Challenge which was my next destination. The car stopped and I joined them

There were 3 people, 2 men at front and a lady in the back. Some few minutes, I discovered that the lady is drunk and she was just saying rubbish to the man. I decide not to interfere cuz I was still pissed. All of a sudden, she just said ‘Oyinbo, will you marry me’

I said Nooo, Oga will vex. She said who’s Oga? I didn’t reply. Then all of a sudden her hand was going towards my manhood. My only crime was to say. Excuse me what are you doing. And I pushed her hand away. The next I heard was big blow on my head.

    Nigerian man recounts

I was terrified but decided not to shout. I just said what did I do now? The man at the passenger side, that I think is her boyfriend, just looked back and slapped me. That why am I talking to his girlfriend like that. That I even look like gay and he will treat my fuck up.

It was at this moment that fear gripped me. I just started begging and all of a sudden the girl dragged my cloth by my neck and was pushing me back and forth. The only thing I could say was they should just drop me that I was sorry to enter their car.

The driver was asking them to leave me that he does not want trouble (I think he’s their friend) The guy asked him to stop the car where there are no much people passing. At that moment, we were close to New Garage, they just parked and I barely came down self when they zoom

I just thanked God to be alive. People around the area where looking at me like a mad man, but I wss just grateful they didn’t hurt me. It was at that moment my friend called me that’s he’s at Elebu Market. I took bike back there & he paid before heading home

Nigerians need to stop discriminating against people you don’t know. You can’t just assume I’m gay because I’m light in complexion or have female face. Did I create myself. I face same stigma during some modeling audition, which is bad

I’m traumatized but life just has to go on. I hope we can all learn to live together in peace and love.”
