– A 23-year-old Lady has emerged as Namibia’s youngest minister.
A Namibian lady, identified as Emma Theofilus, has been appointed as the country’s deputy information and technology minister.
The young lady’s appointment has made her Namibia’s youngest minister and member of parliament, Face 2 Face Africa reports.
Emma was appointed the country’s president, Hage Geingob and it was criticised by the country’s old elites who questioned her capacity and competence.
However, the young lady said she is not inexperienced and she is able to do anything she sets out to do.
She said: “I do not think I am special, but I do not think I am inexperienced, and I do not think being young or female has anything to do with my appointment. Anything I set myself to and any environment I want to work into, I can do it; so the issue of inexperience does not hold any water.”
Emma was appointed Namibia’s deputy minister of information, communication and technology in March 2020, as part of Hage Geingob’s second term cabinet.

The kind gesture was initiated by the Stvafrica foundation – the foundation also aired the sachet water hawker’s story on their social media platforms.
The foundation revealed that they were touched to offer their helping hand after watching the way Vida struggled to take care of herself and her children.
According to reports surrounding Vida’s situation, a lot of people donated huge amounts to the single mom, but an anonymous philanthropist went the extra mile to give the woman an apartment in addition.
With tears rolling down her cheeks, the single mom showered blessings on everyone who partook in changing her life for the better.

In other related news, an elderly food seller couldn’t hold back her emotions after a good samaritan surprised her with cash gift on the road.
The good Samaritan pretended to buy food from the woman and while she was about to prepare the food, he brought out a huge sum of money from his pocket and stuffed it in her hand.
The excited woman broke into tears as she poured blessings on the young man who was already glad that he was able to put a smile on somebody’s face.

A Nigerian man Kosi Ugo has taken to Facebook to advise Nigerians to face the government and leave gay people alone.
According to Kosi, he has learnt with time that Nigerians do not set their priorities right.

Nigerian author, Reno Omokri has advised his followers that using one’s tithe to buy and drink alcohol is not a sin.

Men of the Rivers state police command have arrested a 47-year-old man, Eromosele Mahmud, for allegedly impregnating his 16-year-old daughter after raping her over a period of five years.
According to the spokesperson of the state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, Mahmud who is a single parent and father of three from the Esako West Local Government Area of Edo State but resident in Port Harcourt, confessed that he has been raping his own daughter since she was 12.
He told the police his daughter began enjoying their sexual intercourse and was the one who initiates it sometimes. He said he doesn’t know what pushed him to start sleeping with his own child.
When interrogated, Mahmud said
This is a battle I have tried to fight over the years and it seems to be much bigger than me. I am not going to withdraw any fact or truth as far as this case is concerned. If this is the only way my daughter can be liberated if I go to prison, then it is good. My happiness is that I am relieved even as I speak to you now.
I can’t really remember when it started, but like I told you, it’s more of a spiritual thing. It is very unusual for a father to be sleeping with his own daughter. I am not a party to abortion, so whatever it is, the social welfare people and other government officials involved in this matter know the best way to handle this pregnancy. As a father, I cannot support abortion for my daughter, what if anything happens to her in the process.
I don’t rape her regularly; it happens once or twice in a year; she used to be very cooperative, even when I don’t want it, she tries to force herself on me.”
The victim said her father becomes hostile towards her and would stop paying her school fees if she refuses to have sex with him.
“It was my father who impregnated me; he started having sex with me when I was 12-year-old till now. The first time he came and lay with me on the bed, when I tried to scream, he told me to shut up that my mates were doing the same thing and anytime I refused to allow him, he would not buy anything for me and he would refuse to pay my school fees.” she said
The state police command spokesperson said Mahmud would be charged to court once investigations have been concluded.
A Twitter user identified as @Alumbeaofficial has taken to her page to advise young folks on the right age at which they can get married.
The lady said that getting married below age 25 is very wrong.
Defending her statement, the lady said that getting married below age 25 is like leaving the night club as early as 9 pm.
She wrote; “Getting married below the age of 25 is like leaving the club at 9pm.”
It seems most Nigerians on social media did not agree with her insensitive statement as they hurled insults on her for discouraging young people not to take their relationship to the next level when they are ready.
A Nigerian man has lost an attractive job due to his word of endearment directed at the employer during the interview.
The job was reportedly meant to see him earn N200k if he had been successful, however his attempt to be informal caused him the offer.

Billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Prince Ned Nwoko has dragged an online publisher, Azuka Jebose Molokwu, to court claiming N2billion damages for defamation of character.
This is contained in a writ of summons obtained from Effurun High Court, Delta State on behalf of Nwoko by his counsel, Ikhide Ehighelua and Co dated July 13, 2020.
Also joined in the suit No. EHC 99 as the second defendant is Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko identified as the employer and sponsor of the first defendant, Jebose, a native of Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, resident in the United States of America.
According to the suit, both defendants made highly defamatory publications in several online blogs and other social media platforms “calculated to reduce the estimation of the claimant” and damage his reputation in the public.
It stated that the malicious publications had continued unabated against the plaintiff in spite of warnings by his solicitors to the defendants.
Counsel to Nwoko also stated that the first defendant defiantly came out openly on the social media that the cautions would not be a deterrent to his defamatory publications, prompting the legal action.
The claimant had also sought in his favour, before the court a “public apology to be published by the defendants in at least two national daily newspapers circulating in Nigeria and social media platforms” as well as an order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendants from making any further defamatory publications against him.

A Russian family are currently entangled in a bizarre love triangle after a 75-year-old woman allegedly stole her daughter’s man because she cheated on him.
The mother and daughter are reportedly embroiled in a bitter fight over the same man after he left the younger woman for the granny.
75-year-old Galina Zhukovskaya married her daughter’s ex-husband back in 2010 after developing a friendship with him when it emerged that her daughter had cheated on him, forcing him to leave his family.
Now, the granny has come out to complain that her daughter, Elena Podgornaya, 56, is trying to steal her ex-husband, Vyacheslav Zhukovsky, 52, back from her.
Zhukovskaya says her daughter was unlucky in love as she has been facing challenges to get a another man since she was dumped.
Speaking with Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, she claimed the daughter went as far as sending her granddaughter to try and seduce her husband.
She claimed to the paper: “She wants us to separate.
“She often sends her 30-year-old daughter, born from another man, to get intimate with him.”
Zhukovkaya continued: “My daughter is probably jealous that mum is not alone. I have someone to talk to and she doesn’t. But he won’t get back to her. She cheated on him too much.”
