Legendary Nigerian singer, Ebenezer Obey, has frowned at the habit of old men marrying younger ladies who are just ‘starting life’.

In an interview with The Nation, the 78-year-old multiple award-winning singer said it is only a foolish old man that will get married to a young lady who hasn’t yet experienced anything in life.

The music legend was asked why he hasn’t married a young lady since his beloved wife passed on and he responded :

”Marry a young lady? It’s a foolish old man that will say he wants to marry a young lady. The young lady has just started her life and definitely is virile and strong. Someone like me should be thinking of a woman who is 60 or above. And when I do it soon, everyone will know.”

He says for him, whenever he is ready to settle down again, it would be for companionship and he would be looking at a woman in her 60s and not a young lady.

Victoria Inyama has advised ladies to dress appropriately so as to avoid being raped. The former Nollywood actress, in a new post on her Instagram page, shared her thoughts on the rape situation in the country and how women can better protect themselves.

Inyama insisted that her post wasn’t about bashing women but since the Nigerian government is yet to take rape cases seriously, women, excluding minors, aged and vulnerable ones should dress how they would like to be addressed.

Talking on the matter in a video she shared, she wrote alongside it,

Italian football club, Inter Milan are reportedly set to offer football legend, Lionel Messi the most audacious deal in the history of football as his Barcelona deal comes to an end.

According to La Gazetta Dello Sport, the Argentine star, 33, is yet to sign a new deal at Barcelona and is able to walk away for free next summer, and Inter are ready to come in with an astonishingly lucrative deal.

The Italian outlet claimed Inter will offer Messi an incredible deal with a collective salary of £235million over a four-year contract that would see him earn £60m per year to continue playing through to the age of 38.

Should the deal go through, Lionel Messi will link up with his old rival Cristiano Ronaldo in Serie A, who is with Juventus and will overtake the Portuguese star as the league’s top earner.

Cristiano Ronaldo was making £27.3m per year at Juve, before accepting pay cut due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Nigerian man has excitedly announced that he’s set to resume as the Assistant Vice-President of a leading bank in UK.

The 24-year-old graduate of Mathematics and Finance who did not divulge his identity or the bank name, said that he passed the interviews he was subjected to before being selected to man the role of VP.
