A pro MMA fighter known professionally as Jahreau Shepherd has died after he was reportedly stabbed at his own 30th birthday party in London.
Shepherd was found bleeding with stab wounds around 10 pm on Saturday in the Kensington area, according to the Evening Standard — and while emergency personnel rushed to the scene, they were unable to save him.
Earlier in the evening, Shepherd was celebrating at a backyard BBQ with friends and family … including his mother and kids
However, according to TMZ something went terribly wrong … and later in the evening, Shepherd was reportedly attacked, suffering fatal wounds in the process.

The lady as seen in the conversation was annoyed with her boyfriend for assisting his ex with N150k for her house rent when he has never given such in the span of their relationship.
Angered by his gesture, the lady confronted him saying he only assisted his ex because of the ulterior motive of getting laid with her. The gentleman on the other hand, defended himself saying it was a mere gesture as there’s no string attached to it.
He later apologized to her and promised to never make such mistake again. Their conversation has now caused a debate online with people asking whether he was okay to have assisted his ex or not, or should have perhaps, told his girlfriend first before going ahead.

HipHop rapper, Kanye West has reportedly dropped out of his U.S. presidential race less than two weeks after announcing his intention to run for president.
According to a report in New York Magazine’s Intelligencer, West hired a campaign staff who were looking into getting his name listed as a third-party candidate in Florida and several other states, but the team has now been told the bid is off.
Steve Kramer, an election strategist hired by West to focus on getting his name on the ballot in Florida and South Carolina, told the publication that ‘he’s out’ of the 2020 race.
Kramer admitted that his bid was serious and there were 180 people working in the ground in Florida before they decided to call off the effort.
The election strategist didn’t specify West’s reasons for allegedly withdrawing, , but said he’d “let [Intelligencer] know what I know once I get all our stuff cancelled.”
“I have nothing good or bad to say about Kanye,” he told the reporter.
“Everyone has their personal decision about why they make decisions. Running for president has to be one of the hardest things for someone to actually contemplate at that level.”
Kramer also added that he believed West’s campaign team were ‘working over weekend there, formalizing the FEC and other things that they’ve got to do when you have a lot of corporate lawyers involved’.
He said they had ‘overwhelming support to get him on the ballot’ and that ‘whether anybody is going to vote for him or not is up to them’.
‘Any candidate running for president for the first time goes through these hiccups,’ Kramer said.
This comes after it was revealed that the rapper had already missed the voter registration deadline in six separate states.
Kanye West announced his intention to run for US president on July 4, with Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk endorsing him after he made the announcement.

Veteran Nollywood comic actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu, has given his take on the global pandemic that’s currently raging the world.

A 71-year-old Ghanaian nanny, identified as Abena Yeboah has been apprehended by NYPD police officers after she was caught on camera physically abusing an infant under her care.
The Prosecutor’s Office stated that the Bronx woman who was hired to take care of a baby in Hackensack was charged with one count of Title 9 child abuse. Officials shared that the police in Hackensack were first notified of the alleged abuse on the 8th of July.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella who announced her arrest, said,
“During her time as a nanny for the family, she was observed on a nanny camera physically abusing the child by hitting, kicking, and yanking the child by the arm.”
Musella revealed that Yeboah was arrested in the Bronx by New York police after Hackensack police issued a warrant for her. She was taken into custody and is awaiting an extradition hearing.

Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, who is Nigeria’s first-ever female combat helicopter pilot, has died at the age of 23 years after sustaining head injuries from a road traffic accident at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base in Kaduna.
Arotile’s death came not more than a year after she was winged as a combat helicopter pilot in the Air Force following the completion of her course in South Africa.
Confirming the accident, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, stated that until her death, Flying Officer Arotile, who was commissioned into the NAF in September 2017 as a member of Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 64, was the first ever female combat helicopter pilot in the service.
“During her short but impactful stay in the service, late Arotile, who hails from Iffe in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, contributed significantly to the efforts to rid the North Central States of armed bandits and other criminal elements by flying several combat missions under Operation GAMA AIKI in Minna, Niger State.” He said.
“The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, on behalf officers, airmen, airwomen and civilian staff of the NAF, commiserates with the family of late Flying Officer Arotile over this irreparable loss. We pray that the Almighty God grant her soul eternal rest.”

Fahim Saleh, 33, the CEO of Lagos-based motorcycle-hailing company has been murdered.
The limbless, headless torso of the millionaire tech entrepreneur was found inside his $2.25 million apartment in New York on Tuesday afternoon, with an electric saw lying next to the remains, police in New York said.
Police made the grisly discovery in a building on E. Houston St. at Suffolk St. on the Lower East side about 3:30 p.m. Cops found contractor bags near the torso, sources said, but didn’t immediately open them to see if the body parts were inside.
NYPD spokesman Sgt. Carlos Nieves said all of the body parts were found at the scene but declined to give specifics on where.
“We have a torso, a head that’s been removed, arms, and legs. Everything is still on the scene. We don’t have a motive,” he said.
Detectives were waiting for fingerprint and forensics tests on the body, police sources said.
The NYPD went to the seventh-floor condo after the victim’s sister called 911. She came calling Tuesday because she hadn’t seen her brother in a day, then discovered his dismembered corpse, an NYPD spokesman said.
An elevator surveillance camera may have caught the victim’s last moments, sources said. It shows the victim getting into the elevator Monday, followed quickly by a second man, dressed in a suit, wearing gloves, a hat and a mask over his face.
After the victim walked out onto his floor, he fell immediately, possibly shot or stunned.
“The perp had a suitcase. He was very professional,” one police source said.
The curtains were drawn at the newly-constructed apartment building, where condos were sold starting at $2.15 million last year.
Neighbor Daniel Faust, 40, said he saw police lead two women from the building.
“There was one that came first, with short black hair. Then a second one came, a little taller and with long hair. They were just hysterical, I guess in disbelief. And then they left with the detectives,” he said.
Police also brought a dog, a mid-sized Pomsky, out of the building, he said.
Saleh was described as a self-made millionaire who brought tech companies into nations like Nigeria and Indonesia, an energetic person who loved gadgets and video games.
Though they believe he was targeted, he never acted like he was worried about anything, the friend said.
“He never said he was scared,” the male friend said. “[He was] always very happy-go-lucky.”

A man who allegedly assaulted his spouse was confronted by his neighbours who condemned him for his actions — a video capturing this moment was shared online.
In the video, the wife is seen with bruises all over her body as she sat within the compound while neighbours surrounded and consoled her.
The woman appeared to be weak as neighbours had to support her to prevent her from falling. They also criticized the husband for his actions as they tried to decide whether taking the woman to the hospital was the best option.
It later seemed like the woman was gasping for breath and one of her children began crying. When she seemed to have gained some strength, neighbours asked what happened and she claimed that her husband is in the habit of beating her. Her male neighbour then told her husband that his act isn’t right and even called his brother to caution him. The woman revealed that this angered her husband and he accused her of sleeping with the man and called her a prostitute.
The day her husband allegedly beat her up, she said her husband had a verbal altercation with the neighbour who did his best not to say anything to him.
She claims her husband then turned the anger on her and said the neighbour is able to disrespect him because she’s having sex with him. This accusation is what led to a fight between the couple.
She said,
“For the past two months he’s been bringing issue, that I’m dating someone in our compound. Ok, that one was resolved. Since yesterday he’s been insulting me. I did not say even a word. But this morning there’s one of our neighbor that one called him, he did not answer. He was calling me ashawo. I said OK, you have girls like me, you have sisters like me. If me, I’m ashawo them that they married two or three times what did you call them? I’m not doing what you accused me of.
“When he was beating me last month, the man told him what you’re doing to your wife is not right. That’s the crime the man committed.”
She added that she got a job with with a bank but because the salary they offered her was more than what her husband earns, he allegedly told the company she won’t be accepting the job.
She added that after costing her a job, he finds it hard to provide and something as little as 100 Naira causes quarrel between them. As a result, she claims she resorts to begging her church members for money whenever she’s in need.

A 59-year-old man identified as one Pastor Okedokun Abiodun of the Light Christian Church, Odeda in Odeda Local Government Area, Ogun state, has been arrested by men of the state police command for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl (name withheld).
In a statement released on Tuesday, July 14, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, stated that Okedokun was arrested following a report by the father of the victim at Odeda Police station.
“The suspect saw his daughter playing with other children and he called her to go and bring his key for him in his room, while the innocent girl was going into the room, the pastor allegedly followed her behind, pushed her into the bed, covered her mouth with his hands and forcefully had carnal knowledge of he.
Upon the report, the DPO Odeda division, CSP Ajayi Williams detailed his detectives to the scene where the randy pastor was promptly arrested.”
On interrogation, the pastor owned up to the commission of the crime and he is currently being detained at Odeda police station; while the victim has been taken to General hospital Odeda for medical attention” the statement read

Alleged fraudster, Olalekan Ponle, better known as Mr. Woodberry, who was apprehended alongside socialite Hushpuppi, has reportedly hired the services of a top rated Chicago lawyer, Michael Nash, to defend him in court.
Woodberry, 29, who is currently being held in the United States, was arrested in the United Arab Emirate on June 10 for multiple fraud charges after a raid by operatives of the Dubai crime unit.
According to a report by Premium Times, Mr Nash signed the Attorney Appearance Form for Woodberry on July 8.
Mr Nash whose area of specialisation is Criminal Defense, has been practising for over 55 years — he was admitted to practice law in 1965 after graduating from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

On Thursday, Mr Nash is saddled with the task of securing Woodberry’s bail. If found guilty, the alleged might be liable to a jail term ranging from 20-30 years.
Woodberry and Hushpuppi were extradited to the United States on July 2. Woodberry is currently facing charges bordering on wire fraud Conspiracy at a United States District Court sitting in Illinois.
His first appearance in court was on July 3, after which the preliminary hearing was set for July 16 before Judge Jeffrey T Gilbert.
However, as provided by a section of the U.S. laws on the release or detention of a defendant pending trial, Woodberry will be remanded in the custody of the U.S. Marshal until further order of the Court.
A 14-year-old girl, identified as Anita Haledu Ibrahim, pictured, reportedly committed suicide over an unwanted pregnancy.
According to a report by The Nation, Anita, who was a student of Government Science school Andaha near Akwanga, took herbicide to kill herself on Saturday, July 11.
Sources claim that Anita was impregnated by her boyfriend who she met in Andaha during the COVID-19 lockdown. They became intimate and she got pregnant.
Anita informed him she was pregnant with their child and he initially fled the village to Abuja but after her parents made contacts with him, he accepted the pregnancy and also showed interest to marry her.
Anita however decided to take her life after her father, Haledu Ibrahim, beat her up over the pregnancy. She took the herbicide on Saturday and was immediately rushed to a hospital in Akwanga where she died in the early hours of today July 14.
Her family members are currently preparing for her funeral.
A 20-year-old girl identified as Sherifat Suleiman has reportedly committed suicide over incessant fights with her brother.

According to the man identified as David Bankole, he got married to his wife in 2003 and they did not have children of their own till February 2019 when they welcomed their first baby girl.
Bankole explained that his wife got pregnant again and welcomed another baby on June 19, 2020. However, that was when something strange happened. The young man’s wife had complained of feeling a funny movement in her stomach.
Her worries were initially dismissed but they had to go to the hospital to check after the complaint became incessant. While at the hospital, another scan was done and it was discovered that there was another child in the woman’s belly. Lo and behold, Bankole’s wife welcomed another baby on July 10, 2020, exactly 21 days after having the first child.
The proud new father said that the initial scan they had done showed only one baby and that their situation surprised many of those at the hospital. He also said that both their babies were born through natural birth.
