A fire incident has razed a section of the World Trade Centre building located in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The fire outbreak started from the top of the skyscraper which is located at the Central Business District in the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
The cause of the fire outbreak is currently unknown but at the time of reporting this, Men of the Federal Fire Service were working to put out the fire.

A mother was locked inside her apartment with her sick 2-year-old child by the house agent over unpaid rents.
The house agent welded the door belonging to Rhoda Makoha’s two-roomed apartment while she was inside with her sick child, leaving her four other children who were outside, playing.
The incident occurred over the weekend in Njoro sub-county, Nakuru in Kenya.
Speaking with The Star, the woman explained that she was unable to raise the rent money because her business outside Egerton University was affected following the outbreak of Coronavirus.
“Business at Egeron trading centre is entirely dependent on students and everything went down when schools and universities were shut down,” she said through the window.
Makoha who has lived in the house for six years said she locked herself in the house for fear of being thrown out, only for the agent to weld the door.
“I have been paying my rent promptly for six years and I was hoping that the agent could consider that before kicking me out,” she said.
Police officers were later deployed to the area to break into the house and rescue the woman and the baby.
Nigerian billionaire, Arthur Eze has stated that it is only God who can make an Igbo man become the President of Nigeria, adding that Igbo people don’t love each other.
According to him, the Igbos are not united, whereas, the Northerners put him in the oil business and gave him mouthwatering contracts even without knowing him or taking into consideration where he comes from.
He wondered whether an Igbo man will ever do such a thing. In his own words,

In its bid to offer more value to customers and consolidate its leadership in Nigeria’s telecommunications market, digital transformation leader, Globacom, has announced a phone festival for the benefit of its teeming subscribers.

The company further said that all prepaid and post-paid customers who visit any of the over 90 Gloworld outlets across the country during the festival period can buy any device of their choice from a range of latest devices and enjoy the bundled benefits. “Glo remains committed to creating more value for its customers,” the network added.
Globacom disclosed that data received from the smartphone festival is automatically credited to a customer’s line and added to his or her existing data plans which can be checked by dialling *127*0#, or by sending SMS ‘info’ to 127. Glo Smartphone festival will run until July 31, 2020.
English Football club, Manchester City have won their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over alleged financial fair play (FFP) violations and will be free to play in the Champions League next season.
It certainly is the best news for Manchester City fans, although their Manchester rivals and Chelsea might not feel the same way.
City were originally banned from European competitions for two seasons but won their appeal to CAS, which means that the fifth place in the Premier League will no longer qualify for the Champions League.
Manchester United as of this moment, occupy fifth in the Premier League table.
A statement from CAS reads,
“The CAS award emphasized that most of the alleged breaches reported by the Adjudicatory Chamber of the CFCB were either not established or time-barred.
“As the charges with respect to any dishonest concealment of equity funding were clearly more significant violations than obstructing the CFCB’s investigations, it was not appropriate to impose a ban on participating in UEFA’s club competitions for MCFC’s failure to cooperate with the CFCB’s investigations alone.”
City took their case to CAS on June 8 after they were initially handed a two-year ban from UEFA competition and a €30 million ($33m) fine issued to them by the Adjudicatory Chamber of the Independent Club Financial Control Body (CFCB).
Following Monday’s verdict, the fine was reduced to €10m. As Manchester City’s fate in future European competitions has been decided, UEFA has released a statement in this regard.
“UEFA takes note of the decision taken by the Court of Arbitration for Sport to reduce the sanction imposed on Manchester City FC by UEFA’S independent Club Financial Control Body for alleged breaches of the Uefa Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations.
UEFA notes that the Cas panel found that there was insufficient conclusive evidence to uphold all of the CFCB’s conclusions in this specific case and that many of the alleged breaches were time-barred due to the five-year time period foreseen in the Uefa regulations.
Over the last few years, Financial Fair Play has played a significant role in protecting clubs and helping them become financially sustainable and UEFA and ECA [European Club Association] remain committed to its principles

24-year-old Badmus Folarin, has been arrested by men of the Ogun state police command for using a hot knife to burn the buttocks of a 10-year- old boy, Sunday David, for allegedly licking from a tin of tea at their home situated at Elegushi Street, Owode-Yewa, Yewa South Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement released on Sunday, July 12, the spokesperson of the state Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the police at Egbado Division received a distress call from a neighbor of the suspect.
“The suspect was arrested following a distress call received by the DPO Owode Egbado division, Olabisi Elebutte, from a concerned neighbour.
He reported through a telephone call that they could hear a sorrowful cry of a boy at No 12 Elegushi Street, Owode-Yewa, consequent upon which the DPO detailed the patrol team to the scene where the young boy was seen lying down helplessly with serious injuries all over his body.
On enquiry, it was discovered that the suspect put a knife on fire and when the knife was red hot, he applied it to the buttocks of the boy, thereby inflicting second degree injuries on the innocent boy.
During interrogation, the suspect alleged that the victim, who is living with the family, opened a tin of Milo tea belonging to the suspect’s mother and licked from it.”
According to Oyeyemi, David was rushed to a private hospital by the police for medical attention while Folarin was arrested and detained.
Oyeyemi added that the state Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and possible prosecution.
A Nigerian lady on Twitter, has taken to her page to admonish her fellow females warning them against having a relationship with internet fraudsters, better known as “Yahoo boys”.
The lady, Ameera Yusuf on Twitter narrated how she met a Yahoo boy who poised as a Real Estate developer and after spending time together, he asked her to accompany him to one of his properties in another state.
She revealed that it was on this journey that the said guy was going to use her for rituals but thanks to the interruption of some police officers, she was saved.

They washed my feet and Richard drank the water.I was being striped naked while we all heard some rounds of gunshots not too far away.
They all ran into the dark and I was left on the ground.
Kindly it happened that the Police chased after some robbers to their hideout within same vicinity and had the gun exchange.
I was found, I narrated my ordeal and was rescued. Richard has since not been found and nobody has set eyes on him since then

A school in Burkina Faso is reported to offer services to men who wish to become better husbands in the form of a “School for Husbands”.
According to a report by UNFPA, 1,600 of these schools have been built so far in the country. One Waimbabie Gnoumou regularly attends these discussions, and takes pride in having changed his behaviour.
“I would often fight with my wife and even hit her,” he reflected recently. “When you hit someone, you are aware that what you have done is not right.”
Gnoumou’s wife Martine says he is learning to be a better husband.
“Ever since he started going to the husbands school, our relationship has improved significantly,” Martine said.
Today, he offers a lot more help around the home, Martine says. He fetches water and wood, and does other household chores. And he hopes to inspire other men, as well.
The Husbands and Future Husbands School in Mamboué, a village in western Burkina Faso, breaks down gender stereotypes and shows men the role they have to play in ending violence and empowering their wives and daughters.

Pregnant Ghanaian YouTube star Nicole Thea, has died at age 24 along with her unborn son, Reign.
The content creator, who lived in London, sadly passed on Saturday morning, according to a statement posted on her Instagram account.
The Statement read,

Popular Instagram comedienne, Ada Ebere, better known as Ada la Pinky has said that contrary to people’s belief that she had a breast enlargement surgery, her big boobs are actually natural.
In a recent interview with PUNCH, the comedienne who is known for always flaunting her boobs online, said,
“People believe that my boobs are too big to be real but they are 100 per cent natural. I have never done any surgery to make my boobs bigger. I used to be skinny a few years back until I began to gain weight. As I grew bigger, my also boobs grew. If one gains weight, every part of one’s body would become bigger.”
Sharing how she started her entertainment career as a dancer before delving into comedy, she said,
“I started my career as a dancer and video vixen with the help of Clarence Peters. However, when I started gaining weight, I could no longer continue being a vixen. Rapper, Rudolph Johnson popularly known Lil Marloas has been shot dead in Atlanta.
A video of the aftermath was shared online.
Police officers responded to a call at 2:06 on Sunday morning. The call came in as a car accident on Interstate 285 in downtown Atlanta, but when police arrived they found the rapper had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to TMZ, the Medical Examiner confirmed they have the body of Rudolph Johnson, better known by his stage name Lil Marlo.
Lil Marlo was signed to the Quality Control label. Other artists signed to the label include Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby and City Girls.

A man identified as Emmanuel Opoku, has been arrested by men of the Enugu State Police command for torturing and bashing his wife, Chiamaka.
It was gathered that the culprit was arrested following a report to Women Aid Collective (WACOL) on 9th July,2020, that a man had poured hot water on his breastfeeding wife’s breast at Akwuke, Enugu.
The group said Mr Opoku, a Ghanaian has been arrested and will be charged to court on Monday, July 14 while the battered wife has been taken to the hospital where she is receiving medical attention.
On the 9th day of July 2020, a good Samaritan reported to WACOL that one Mr. Emmanuel Opoku, a Ghanaian who lives in Nigeria has been torturing and abusing his wife Mrs. K.
WACOL quickly reached out to the victim who is a mother of two boys.
The victim narrated to WACOL that Mr. Emmanuel Opoku was in the habit of physically and verbally abusing her, denying her and the children necessities and always torturing her unprovoked.
The recent incident happened when she asked him for money to prepare food for the family, he blatantly refused and while she was making pap for the 3 months old baby, he proceeded to pour the hot water on her breast.
Mrs. K has been in excruciating pain, she stated that whenever she tries to breastfeed the baby her breast will start bleeding profusely.
After her counselling session with the WACOL legal team, a complaint was filed and the team forwarded a petition to the Police Area Commander to investigate the matter and ensure the arrest of Mr. Emmanuel Opoku.
On receipt of the petition, the Area Commander promptly issued a warrant of arrest against the perpetrator.
The arrest has been effected and Mr. Emmanuel Opoku is now in police custody and will be charged to court on Monday. WACOL also took Mrs. K.to the hospital where she is currently receiving medical treatment.
Prof Joy Ngozi Ezeilo expressed her gratitude to the police for their prompt response in the case and stated that WACOL will follow through as usual to ensure that justice is manifestly seen to be done.
WACOL hereby, pleads with Nigerians to report any suspected case of violence against women and children.
Together we will end the impunity of violence against women and girls that is raging our society today.
Billionaire Philanthropist, Ned Nwoko has revealed that he got married to all his wives as virgins.
He made the disclosure in an interview with PUNCH where he also talking about falling for Regina the first day he met her.
His words ;
Why not Regina? When I met her, I didn’t even know who she was because I don’t watch movies, whether British, Nigerian or American. Also, I am not a social media person. Up until that time, I didn’t have Facebook or Instagram accounts. So, I didn’t know about Regina until she came to my house with her family on a tour. My house in the village (Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State) is a tourist attraction of sorts.
I liked her when I saw her, especially when I found out that she was from that place. I had always wanted to have somebody (a wife) from my side. We were introduced to each other and one thing led to another. That was when I found out she is a very decent girl. I have always said that I wouldn’t marry anybody who isn’t a virgin and that is very important to me. When I found out that she was a virgin, it reinforced my decision to marry her. I married all my wives as virgins.
Regina Daniels on her part, explained what it felt like being married to the 59-year-old ;
I feel free. I can do whatever I want, dress how I like, live my life the way I want to. My husband is always pushing me to be a better person. He wants me to be more exposed and see the world in a different way. As a matter of fact, there are many things I enjoy about the marriage that I cannot explain.

The singer made this revelation after a curious fan asked why she is unmarried.
