Nigerian lady, Seyitan Babatayo who accused D’banj of rape has denied claims of getting arrested alongside her mother.

Report of Ms Babatayo’s arrest which investigative journalist Kiki Mordi insisted happened, had been trailed by mixed reaction as some social media users affirmed that D’banj is trying to clear his name while others condemned and accused him of intimidation.

In a tweet she shared after her alleged arrest gained public attention yesterday June 17, the lady stated that she is moving on and leaving everything behind her.

She tweeted;

I’m done with all these back and forth drama…Frank took me to the party and gave me the key to the room. I’m moving on and leaving everything behind me. Thanks and God bless

I don’t know where all this rumors are coming from . Myself and my mom were not and have not been arrested .

EFCC arrests 16 suspected Internet Fraudsters in Ogun, Lagos (Photos)

The Lagos Zonal office of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested suspected internet fraudsters in Ota, Ogun State, and Victoria Island, Lagos.

The suspects arrested during the raid in Ota, Ogun State are Adeshina Michael; Ayeni Emiloju; Odenigbo Anthony, Afolabi Gbenga, and Oyibogbola David Seun.

Those arrested in Victoria Island, Lagos are Onothebor Edmond; Suuru Blessing; Ifedapo Opeyemi; Samson Samuel, Oguntade Idowu, and Emmanuel Akinyemi. Others are: Seyi Kazeem; Sulaiman Toheed; Oduwale Oluwasesan, Adewoye Oluwasesan, and Alex Abiodun.

Family, friends and colleagues of late Ibidun Ajayi-Ighodalo converged Wednesday evening to sing hymns, psalms and light candles in her honor.

Ibidun, an event planner extraordinaire sadly passed away on Sunday, June 14th leaving behind her children, Zenan and Keke, and her spouse, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo.

Renowned gospel artistes like Tope Alabi, Efe Nathan, Sammie Okposo, Tosin Martins, Buchi, and others rendered powerful songs at the service.

An emotional moment in the service was when late Ibidun’s daughter, Zenan, also rendered a thanksgiving song at the service.

Ibidun will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 20th 2020.

Talented Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh has shared how she hated her late mum for years but later forgave her when she turned 28.

The actress made the surprising revelation in a recent episode of “Grub and Rub with king Tonto” on YouTube. The mother of one who lost her mum while she was very tender, said her hatred for her late mum started after she died.

According to Dikeh, she hated her late mother so much for dying and leaving her at a very tender age to suffer. She talked on how she is often scared of dying and leaving her own son behind just like her mother did.

Tonto said that she got professional help when she turned 28, and was able to let go of everything.

JAMB releases list of top 10 candidates in 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the list of the top 10 best candidates in the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Top on the list were two candidates from Anambra state with 365 and 363 scores respectively.

“They are 10 in number and if you notice, some of the candidates scored the same mark and they are (tied) on the same position,” the spokesperson of the board Fabian Benjamin said.

Two children killed as storey building collapses in Lagos state

Two children have died after a storey-building collapsed in the Gafari Balogun area of Ogudu, Lagos State today June 17.

The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the sad incident, said the building collapsed due to mudslide resulting from a downpour.

His words ;

“The LASEMA Response Team received a distress call at 12.40 pm about the collapse of a one-storey building at the Gafari Balogun Street in Ogudu.

On arrival at the scene, the agency’s responders observed that the building collapsed as a result of a mudslide at the rear of the building which was caused by heavy rainfall.

The agents were informed that two children, one male, and one female were trapped and immediately commenced a search and rescue operation. Unfortunately, they were found dead and their remains had been transported to the mortuary.

Integrity testing will be carried out on the remainder of the building which has now been cordoned off.” he said

Today June 17 is the birthday of Kizz Daniel’s father and rather than celebrate him, the singer is mourning because he is no more.

Lightning strikes three FRSC officials dead in Ogun

Three Federal Road Safety Corps officials have died after they were reportedly struck by lightning in Ogun State.

The quite tragic incident occurred early on Wednesday, June 17, in the ancient town of Ilese, near Ijebu -Ode, in Ijebu North-East local government area of Ogun State.

The lightning struck at about 10:00am while the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were preparing for the early morning parade within the vicinity of their office located at the old toll gate.

According to Vanguard, a senior member of the Corps disclosed that there were about twelve officials in the same office when the lightning struck 3 of them.

Men of the state’s special security outfit code-named “OP MESA” have taken over security of the entire area, chasing onlookers away and preventing journalists from taking pictures.

Also, traditionalists worshipers otherwise known as Sango adherents have joined other FRSC officials at the scene of the incident in Ilese Ijebu in a bid to perform some traditional rites on the corpses before they are released to government officials for burial, the publication adds.

The funeral of ex-beauty queen and event planner extraordinaire, Ibidun Ajayi-Ighodalo, has been slated for Saturday, 20th June 2020.

The 39-year-old graceful spouse of popular Pastor Ighodalo of Trinity House Church passed away on Sunday, June 14 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state where she had gone to erect some COVID19 Isolation centers.

She will be buried in Lagos state. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Disqualified Big Brother Naija 2019 housemate, Natacha Ekide has said that out of the 26 ‘Pepper Dem’ contestants, that she was the only one who didn’t gossip in the house.

During last night’s BBNaija reunion show, Ebuka asked who gossiped the most in the house, and Tacha replied saying everyone did except her.

Dan Foster Allegedly Dies Of COVID-19 complications

New reports reaching us this moment is that Popular Nigerian-American broadcaster and former Idol series judge, Dan Foster is dead.

According to the reports, the versatile radio veteran is said to have died of the novel Covid-19 pandemic.

As at the time of filing this report, it still is not ascertained if his death was due to the novel Coronavirus but reports currently making the rounds claim he died of it.

Confirming the report of his demise is popular Nigerian OAP, Dotun who took to his Twitter page moments ago to mourn the death of the broadcaster.

22-year-old female student discovered dead inside her boyfriend’s room in Osun

A 300–level Mathematics Education female student of the Federal University of Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, identified as one Faderera Oloyede has been discovered dead in an apartment belonging to her boyfriend, Ayo Maliki, in Osun State.

Faderera was found on Tuesday inside her boyfriend’s room at Koko, Iree, Osun State. She was said to have gone to her boyfriend’s place in company with her friend identified as one Kemisola Adewusi, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

According to reports surrounding her demise, her boyfriend had prepared rice for his visitors and while eating the food, the deceased suddenly developed stomach ache and started vomiting.

She, however, died shortly afterwards after efforts to save her life yielded no result. “They tried to save her life but she died after complaining of stomach ache,” one source said.

The Student Union Government President of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Kehinde Raji, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that Maliki went into hiding immediately the incident occured.

He, however, disclosed that the police were invited and took the corpse of Faderera away. Spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, Kemisola had been detained.

Ramsey Nouah Raises Alarm Over Fake Twitter Accounts

Nollywood actor and director, Ramsey Nouah, has asked that all the Twitter accounts impersonating him be blocked.

The 49-year-old made the request on Twitter on Wednesday after a graphic identified as Louisa Jilo, tagged one of the fake accounts when she called out Ramsey Nouah and the producers of the 2019 film, Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, for using her work without compensation.

“Block these accounts and every other account impersonating me. I apologise to all those who fell victims of these fraudster,” he captioned a screenshot of the fake accounts.

Lady rescued after jumping off the Ojota pedestrian bridge

There was a little bit of commotion earlier this morning in the Ojota area of Lagos when a lady plunged down the pedestrian bridge in an apparent attempt to commit suicide.

According to reports, the initial attempts by a passersby to stop her from jumping proved abortive as she freed herself from the grip of a man who was holding her back before she took a leap.

It’s gathered that the Lagos Neighbourhood officers later helped her to a safe place to avoid been hit by oncoming vehicles. The DPO Alausa Police Station later came to the scene to take the lady away.

After calling out Ramsey Noah for using her designs in his movie, ‘Living in Bondage’ without paying for it; Graphic Designer gets compensated.

A Nigerian lady identified Louisa on Twitter earlier called popular Nollywood Actor and Director, Ramsey Nouah for using her designs in his movie without paying for it.

The lady who admitted there was no paperwork done when she was contacted for the job in 2018, claimed she only requested a down payment but was also not given because the media director for the movie told her then that the budget had not been approved.

@Louisajilo stated that in spite of using her designs which they told her wasn’t good enough, Ramsey Noah has continously ignored after she contacted him.

Upon seeing the tweet, Kate Henshaw reacted and promised to contact Ramsey ; she did and Ramsey Nouah immediately contacted the lady and duly compensated her for her work.

The lady then proceeded to serve an update after her post went viral on social media.

In her new tweet, the graphic designer stated that she was not in direct contact with Ramsey Nouah or the crew which made her to use social media to address the issue.

Louisa went on to reveal that she has been compensated and she also thanked Kate Henshaw for making sure her case was heard.

The father of “four” who used to follow over 5,000 accounts on his Instagram page, had initially reduced the number to over 200 accounts, but as of this moment, has now unfollowed everyone on his page.

A check on his Instagram bio shows the music maestro with over 17 million followers follows no one on the platform including his alleged estranged fiancee, Chioma Rowland with whom he has a son, Ifeanyi.

Davido, unfollowing everyone comes not long after Chioma addressed rumours of domestic abuse in their relationship. Reacting to Davido’s move, some netizens of the singer said it was only a plot by the singer to unfollow Chioma on a low-key.

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has taken a moment to reflect about life generally as she says that “Life is so vain”.

The actress took to her official Instagram page moments ago to share her thoughts with her followers, telling them to live a purposeful life because even though people make plans for the future, it’s only God who can actually grant the future.

She wrote,

The past few days have got me rethinking and reflecting on life in a totally new dimension. I looked at myself, looked at life and everything and it hits me so hard that life is so vain. No wonder it is so easy for us to exist in another day as if yesterday didn’t happen. Lóòótọ́, everybody knows that ayé ó lọ bí ọ̀pá ìbọn, ìgbà ó lọ bí òréré, bíntí láyé, but how often do we remember these words and act accordingly every waking day?

My understanding of life has hit differently during this short period. Ah! Ó má da kí ènìyàn l’àròjinlẹ̀ o. If one is thoughtful, one will see the irony of life so glaringly. Life is a such a temporary space, but we keep chasing after things that are here today, but gone tomorrow hoping we can make them permanent. Who are we? ènìyàn lásán who cannot even predict what will happen today talk more of tomorrow?

We plan six months as if tomorrow is promised. My dears, ayé ni àdììtú tí Olódùmarè fi ju ẹ̀dá lọ. We make plans but only God can bring it to pass. So, I asked myself, Oluwatoyin, why are you chasing shadows when God is the one that holds your life?
This is one thing I’ve come to realise, not everything that glitters is gold and there is no forever in affluence because the truth is, kò sì ẹni tó lè ra ayé gbé. I have found my peace in knowing that whatever God has destined to be mine will be mine ‘cos at the end of the day, only God truly has the control.

According to Tony, he and late Obinna were classmates. He said until his death, Obinna was a banker in Port Harcourt.

Rene asserted that if she decides to re-marry, she will pay the man’s bride price if he pays hers.
