Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the incident, revealed that men of the Aguata police station on Saturday at about 9am, received a report from one Timothy Ezeofor that his 70-year-old elder brother named Godwin Ezeofor was allegedly murdered by his 37 year old son, Chigorom Ezeofor using an Axe. Timothy added that the suspect has been mentally ill for the past eight years.

Following the report, officers attached to Aguata Division led by the DPO CSP Ayeni Oluwadare mobilised to the scene, took photographs of the victim and rushed to the hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor and the corpse deposited at the Hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.

“I made N200k from abducting my brother and killing his son” – Suspect confesses

A 30-year-old suspected kidnapper, Salahatu Haruna, 30, has given the reasons why he abducted his elder brother, Yakubu Haruna, and killed his 7-year-old nephew in Bingiyaro, Kaduna State.

Haruna was apprehended with Isa Yakubu and Umaru Musa – Musa was allegedly paid N10,000 for knowing about the planned abduction of Yakubu, but kept quiet about it.

Salahatu organised the gang that abducted his elder brother. On the fateful night of the abduction of Yakubu, the kidnappers opened fire and shot the victim’s son on his head, killing him instantly.

The kidnappers would later demand N3m and after negotiation, N1m ransom was collected from Yakubu for his freedom. Salahatu was given N200,000 as his share of the ransom.

He was, however, busted when he started throwing money around. Some members of his village, suspicious of his sudden wealth, tipped-off operatives of the IRT.

The operatives launched investigation and soon found out that Salahatu had a hand in his brother’s abduction and nephew’s death.

During interrogation, Salahatu said,

“I wasn’t angry with my elder brother, but I organised his abduction because I had no money or food to feed my two wives and nine children.

I equally do not have enough money to spend as a man. I was too ashamed to beg my brother for money because there is a sort of rivalry between his wives and mine.

I’m pained that I got my nephew killed. I believe that it was my nephew’s destiny to die young. I want the police to give me a second chance.”

Ogun state

As Nigeria continues to battle the Coronavirus pandemic, the Ogun State Government says it will begin enforcing the wearing of face masks in the state, as from May 1, 2020.

The state governor, Dapo Abiodun disclosed this during a press conference in the state on Friday April 24. He said offenders of the compulsory face mask order will be arrested and made to spend 14 days in an Isolation center.

“We are working against the spread of this COVID-19. As from May 1, it will be compulsory for everybody in the State to wear face masks. We deliberately delayed enforcing it so that our people can have enough time to get their own. After May 1, anyone who fails to wear a face mask will be viewed as deliberately planning to infect others and will be arrested and put in our isolation centres.

Some of our confirmed cases are immigrants coming to our State through the land borders. The peculiarity of Ogun State put us at a vulnerable position. That means that just as we have advantages, we also have some disadvantages.” he said

He added that the state has made testing booths available in border towns and highly populated areas for people, stating that the Intensive Care Unit, ICU at the 250-bed hospital at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, was ready for use, while the Molecular Laboratory for testing COVID-19 patients has been inspected by officials of the NIgeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC and the World Health Organisation, WHO.

#SayNoToDrugs : Video shows how drugs destroyed a beautiful Lady, Amanda, in 4 months.

A Photographer has shared the story of Amanda, a commercial sex worker who got addicted to crack cocaine which had serious adverse effects on her physical and mental health.

The photographer identified as Soft White Underbelly showed Amanda’s rapid deterioration in 4 months.

Before you order me to help Amanda please read this. No can stop Amanda. Not her family, not me, not you, not the church, not the rehab facilities she’s walked out of. No one. The purpose of my channel is to help us understand how and why this happens so that we can try to fix what’s broken in our country and hopefully, prevent the next generation of children from falling through the same cracks as Amanda has. I’m certain there will be a ton of commenters saying I should be “helping” Amanda instead of exploiting her, but you have to understand my aim with this channel of mine.

My goal is to make people who are strong and capable wake up so that we can create changes that can prevent this from happening to the next generation of children, not to try to fix the already broken individuals I photograph. There are many thousands just like Amanda out there. Let’s stop blaming the “exploitive” photographer and look at the real causes of this. There are many hundreds of thousand more Amandas out there and most of them have small children somewhere. Let’s fix the true causes of these problems instead of sitting on your sofa and blaming me. I’m simply informing you of the truth. ML

Two teenage girls accuse a young man of forcefully initiating them into a cult by raping and making them pay an initiation fee in Anambra (video)

Two girls from a village in Nanka, Anambra State, have accused at least 10 boys of forcefully initiating them into a cult by raping them and making them pay an initiation fee.

One of the young boy was accused by two young girls of luring them to a bush where he and his friends beat them, raped them and threatened them to pay money to them.

The girls while being questioned by older men in the community, claimed that the boy who has been caught invited them out for a drink and they went with him. However, rather than take them to a bar, he took them to a cashew plantation where other boys then came out of the bush.

They said they tried to run but the boys, who were many, overpowered them, beat them up, and blindfolded them. When asked how many the boys were, the girls guesstimated they were about 10.

They said the boys then took turns in raping them after threatening that they had guns. After raping them, the girls said they informed them that they are now members of a cult. They then threatened them to pay an initiation fee, adding that failure to do so will lead to the death of their mothers.

The girls said they promised to pay out of fear because the boys said they had guns and will not hesitate to use them.
