“Who are those?,” – Singer Brymo shades Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido

Nigerian Singer Brymo is currently trending on social media and it is due to the spate of tweets he sent during an exchange he had with some non-fans who tried to talk down his art.

Brymo also seemingly rubbished three of Nigeria’ biggest singers, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido by claiming to have no idea who they are.

This was after a Twitter user stated that they are all better than him and that his music released since the past five years can’t be compared to what those guys have recently.

Brymo started it all by telling the ‘non-fans’ on social media to tell their favourite artistes to take a two year break and see if their music will still be felt.

He tweeted: “Make your fav take a two-year break make we see who go listen to them on return”.

The twitter used fired at him saying:

“Bros rest. Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido are above u, I noticed you have been chasing clout since that comparison 3 days ago.
Burna Biy’s African Giant Album
Wizkid’s Soundman EP
Davido’s bmm and risky
None of your music released over the past 5 years makes wave like the above body of work I mentioned”.

Brymo responded saying: “Who are those?”

‘FG can’t share ₦15 billion donated by private Nigerians and companies to Nigerians’ – Lai Mohammed

Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed has said the Federal government cannot share to Nigerians the funds donated by private Nigerians and organizations for the fight against COVID19.

Ever since the country started having cases of coronavirus, private individuals and companies have donated huge sums to help the nation fight the pandemic.

Nigerians have called on the government to share donations as palliatives during the lockdown over the Coronavirus pandemic.

Reacting to this call, the Minister who was featured on a Radio Nigeria programme today April 14, said the Federal government does not have the power to distriubute such funds.

He explained that the private individuals and organizations came together to donate the funds and asked the Federal government how they can help to effectively fight the pandemic.

His words ;

“The private sector donors are not giving any cash to the federal government and they have made this clear to the people. They said they will support the fight against the pandemic by asking government where they want healthcare infrastructure to be provided.

What government has done is to request them to build a 30-bed isolation ward and a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit in each state in the country. In addition, the federal government has given them a list of equipment and commodities that will also be needed. Therefore, the issue of using their donations to provide palliative cannot arise.”

Man left shocked after he checked his bank account for his $1,700 stimulus check and found $8.2million

At first, he thought it was an error from the machine but when he ran his card again the exact same amount was shown.

On Monday, he called his bank to report the situation and was told the $8.2million dollars was no longer in his account.

AY shares old photos of his wife, Mabel as he counters allegation of plastic surgery

AY shares

Comedian AY has shared old photos of his wife Mabel Makun, to counter allegation of her undergoing plastic surgery.

Recall that Mabel Makun had slammed those who claimed she underwent plastic surgery. The mother of one who insisted that she will go under the knife with pride if chooses to, stated that those spreading the rumour are filled with bitterness.

She wrote;

There is nothing that I have not heard,from she has done her body to fake body and surgery body bla bla bla. They keep singing it like a song don’t you guys get tired? You all are beginning to sound like a broken record. Seriously though,let’s stop the bitterness and appreciate God’s handwork. The truth is,if in the future i choose to go under the knife,I will do it with pride

Mabel also stated in another post that no surgeon in the world can claim that they have “touched her body”. She added that she chose to debunk the rumour now, as it has been on for years.

She wrote in another post;

13:03:2020 No surgeon and i repeat No Surgeon in the world can come out to say that they have touched my body. Reason I am doing this is because this talk about my body and surgery has been on for some years now but I chose to ignore. Some years back I had to delete pictures,videos and comments so some people can leave my body alone and be at peace with themselves.

Even God knows that I have been patient enough . Some of you should not tempt God because I am a product of his handwork,beautiful and perfectly made. I do not have anything against cosmetic surgery. I said it before and I will say it over and over again,if in the future I decide that I want to do anything to my body,I will do it with PRIDE.

AY also stepped in to defend his wife by sharing old photos. He added that in spite of the rumour, he will “never ask his in-laws for a refund”,

He wrote;

I do understand that a lot of people are bored this period with the lockdown situation. But let’s find a way to leave the Makuns alone and concentrate on how to stay safe from the pandemic that has engulfed the nation and the rest of the world.

No disrespect to people who do Cosmetic Surgery. I believe that they do it for many reasons. Some want to look younger. Others seek to change a feature they’ve never liked. That decision should remains personal and highly respected as it becomes a boost to their self esteem.

It is also good to believe and respect that there are still people with what I call FOLLOW COME. Not everyone has made the decision to go under the knife yet, and @realmabelmakun is one of them. Friends and families who knows us together in last 15 years will attest to that simple fact. Some people are naturally blessed from generation to generation with the body. Except it is possible to believe that my daughter Michelle has gone under the knife too. STOP THE FAKE NEWS.

Anyways, we all don’t have job this period. So you guys have another 14 days lockdown to continue to go the blogs to comment negatively on what you know nothing about. It still will not make me go to my inlaws and ask for refund.

Nigerian lady recounts her experience with an Uncle who thought she will ‘award him with her virginity’

Nigerian lady recounts

A Nigerian lady has narrated her near sexual-abuse experience with an ‘Uncle’ she described as her mentor, confidante and friend.

According to @tillytate20, this Uncle thought she will ‘award him her virginity’ because he was the “kind of uncles mothers approved of.”

The Twitter user who revealed that she stopped visiting and calling the man after he demanded for sex after she turned 19, said he nearly cried and went berserk when she told him she has already had sex.

She tweeted;

When I turned 19, I went to visit the uncle I was closest too. He was my mentor, confidante and friend and when he made a move to kiss me and I moved away he said “Why are you denying me, I’ve been good waiting for you, didn’t touch you, not all men could’ve waited”

A shiver ran through me because he insinuated he could have raped me but didn’t because he thought I would award him my virginity. He was the uncle, mothers approved of because he was decent, the one that comes to the house without calling, the one that’s trusted.

That was the last day I called him uncle or visited him and when I told him I’ve already had sex, he went berserk, nearly cried. It was so funny to watch. That was the day I said NO to male mentors, that was the day I started asking men around me”what do you want?”

President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron has announced that the nationwide imposed Coronavirus lockdown will continue for the next one month as the death toll has now hit the 15,000 mark in the country.

France extends Coronavirus lockdown

The restrictions started on 17th of March and would continue to be enforced strictly until May 11 according to the president.

While addressing the nation on Monday evening from the Elysée Palace in Paris, French President Macron apologized for not being prepared enough to tackle the virus but said that after May 11 the lockdown could slowly be relaxed if people adhere to the lockdown rules.

According to the president, from May 11, there will be the gradual reopening of schools, crèches, colleges and high schools but larger public events, stadiums, restaurants, cafes and bars aren’t expected to open “before mid-July”.

France extends Coronavirus lockdown

Macron said the relaxation of the lockdown rules,

“will only be possible if we continue to be responsible in respecting the rules’ while saying that the epidemic was “beginning to steady” in France although the country has “several more months to live with virus”.

“The epidemic is starting to slow down. The results are there. Thanks to your efforts, everyday we have made progress”. He added
