A 44-year-old woman, Mrs. Bose Olasukanmi who was used by several ‘fraudulent’ pastors to perform fake miracle has been arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Lagos after months of trail on her by the undercover operatives.
The woman’s fake miracle was brought to light in October last year after several videos of her being ”healed” of her bad hand, surfaced online.
According to Guardian, police sources say Olasukanmi moved to a different church after being paid for every successful performance so that their trick would not be exposed by people or relations who may see her during her next performance.
Speaking to newsmen after her arrest, Olasukanmi recounted how she got into the business of ”fake miracles”
“I am from Ilesha, Osun State. I am married. I had three children. Unfortunately, two died few hours after delivery. My husband loved me so much that he did not want me to do anything. He wanted me to be a housewife and he had been honouring my request and he treated me like a queen.
Unfortunately, when he died, my life changed and I started suffering as everybody abandoned me. Though I had my primary school certificate, the only work available at the time was to go and serve a food seller at least, to be sure of daily bread. When the suffering became unbearable, I decided to relocate to Lagos for a greener pasture in 1989.
Unfortunately, in 1990, I lost my mother and I went back home to give my caring mother the last respect.
After the burial of my mother I came back to Lagos and secured a job in a food restaurant in Surulere area of Lagos without salary as Food Assistant. However the owner of the food center allows me to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner as I liked. Even customers sometimes gave me tip, which I used to buy soap to wash my clothes, body cream and personal need. I did not save a dime but it helped me a lot.
I worked for 9 years without salary and I had no alternative than to start planning on how to open my own food center or even food hawking in Surulere. Unfortunately for me, as I was walking on the road, one evening, a vehicle from nowhere had a break failure hit me to the ground and broke my right arm and left leg.
I had no money to treat myself as the driver that hit me abandoned me later. Life became hard for me, as I had stopped living with my sister before I had the accident. I lost my husband in October 2018 and this made me to go and live with my sister, but when I secured this food-selling job, I relocated by renting a room in the same Surulere area.
After the accident, everyone abandoned me and I had no money to continue to pay for a room.
It was under this condition that I met a woman friend in 2008. Her name is Fatila Musa. She used to give me money to eat and ameliorate my suffering. One day she took me to her church and told me that the church had a two-month programme that would start from September to October and she would like me to accompany her.
When I accepted, she told me that I should use what I have to get what I want. I did not understand what she meant by using what I have as woman to get what I want considering what the accident had done to my body. She then told me that what I have can help me to get what I wanted and that that gift I have is my broken right arm.
I then asked her how? She said she would teach me how to carry my hand and how to bring it down in such a way that the congregation would believe me and when I collect the money for the role I played, it will be reasonable to start my life.
After a one-day rehearsal, she took me to a pastor at Calvary Close, Ogba area of Lagos. She said the name of the church is Radiant Army Deliverance Ministry a.k.a Anthony Anthony.
The first day I performed, I got N9, 000. Life became sweet as the pastors were happy with my performance, but when people started gossiping that police may raid the place one day, the pastor told members to be carrying me away fast anytime I finish my performance.
When the suspicion became too much, they started substituting my role with video recorded performance. In 2009 she carried me to a church in Port Harcourt. I performed in three churches in the three days we stayed there. The same year, we moved to Abakiliki area of Ebonyi State.
I am a moslem, but the pastor, prophet Goffrey Abbey would only ask me to bring my hand down and I will start bringing it down as if his power was the thing bringing it down and be jumping up in joy to the deceit of the congregation who often clapped with joy and praising God for the miracle. I cannot remember the names of all the churches she took me to because their names were not disclosed to me.
When I was in Lagos, she used to come and carry me in my rented one room apartment at Igando area of Lagos but in Port Harcourt and Abakaliki, she puts me in one of the rooms in the church premises. The performance in Port Harcourt was in Borikkiiri area.
After 9:00.am, I would follow Fatila to wherever she wanted us to go and sleep. She never used me for prostitution”.
Speaking further, she said
I lost my conscience because suffering weakened my sense of reasoning. I needed money to treat my hand and everybody abandoned me. I needed to feed myself. I needed to survive.
Though I want to be healed, but with this experience, it would be hard for me to believe any pastor again. I don’t believe any pastor can heal me. If I see all the pastors involved in the scam with me, I will confront them. They cannot deny me. If I see the woman, Fatila that carried me to them, I will hold her. I won’t mind the help she rendered to me because she used me to make money also and paid me peanuts.
My only regret is that I knew that it was a fake miracle performance, which deceived many genuine children of God and enriched the fake miracle performing pastors and prophets.
It is this same fake miracle performance I was involved in that made my father to get stroke when he heard that they were using me to make money.
In the first performance I got N9, 000, second performance N7, 000, third performance N10, 000. In Port Harcourt I got N10, 000, N7, 000 and N15, 000 while in Abakaliki, I performed only once before IRT operatives stormed there and whisked me from where Fatila hid me. If I regain my freedom, I will not do it again. I will look for genuine business to do.
My advice to people who go to church is that they should open their eyes well and know the type of church they are worshipping. If they are careful, they would discover on time whether they are in a genuine church or with fake pastors and prophets.”she said
Olasukanmi has promised the police to lead them to the different pastors that used her in exchange for her freedom.

New mum, Actress Stephanie Coker, inspired and motivated some awaiting mothers during the week when she revealed that she had her child through IVF.
Well, speaking on why she made her story public unlike other women who would do anything to keep it as a top secret, Mrs Coker said, “My vlog, ‘African and Pregnant’ is a four part docu-series that follows my pregnancy journey. During my procedure, I did a lot of research about IVF. However, I was only able to find very few videos of people I could relate with, discussing the procedure and side effects. Initially, I really had no intention of sharing this journey but I kept meeting women who were struggling in one way or the other with fertility. After I got sick with Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome, I felt like I needed to share my experience to help others and also reduce the stigma surrounding infertility.”
Speaking on the part her husband played in going public with her story, Coker-Aderinokun told Punch, “My husband really encouraged me to share this story. He could see how it would benefit others. And that was why he agreed to be in the series, even though he is very shy. I also had two of my friends who had gone through IVF and they both were really encouraging. My husband really encouraged me and it’s very rare for an African man to do such.”
The former TV presenter also stated that she was successful at her first IVF attempt. Speaking on her experience, she said, “It was not only draining but life-threatening as I developed Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome. My stomach became swollen with fluids. I threw up blood and was aspirated everyday for a week. This syndrome causes the ovaries to swell and become painful. It can become very serious and ultimately life threatening.”
When the actress shared her story, some people felt that a three-year wait wasn’t enough for her to have tried IVF, but she disagreed, saying, “I don’t agree with that. It is a couple’s decision to embark on that journey, specially if you have been advised by a doctor that it would be the best option for you.”
On why she keeps her family out of the public eye, Coker-Aderinokun said, “My family didn’t sign up to be celebrities or public figures; I did. For that reason, I try to protect them because not everyone has thick skin and trolls can be quite nasty.”
Nollywood actress cum movie producer, Nazo Ekezie is feeling concerned over the constant rise of domestic violence cases in Nigeria, especially the instance of women stabbing their cheating husband.
Through her Instagram page, the Anambra State script interpreter shares her thoughts on the best way to tackle the situation.
“The only reason a woman would stab a man that is her boyfriend or husband is because she doesn’t like herself again. Which is understandable; the process of this whole marriage thing and marriage thing could make you lose yourself. I think sometimes you even forget that you should always put yourself before any other thing. It is also important for women who are into relationship or marriages to have friends or family members that they can always put a call to the husband or partner when he starts losing himself. It’s crazy, how you forget yourself and then do the unthinkable by ending your life because you are trying to correct a cheating man. You have told this man to stop cheating, you have asked him, you have begged him, yet he wouldn’t listen. You have said it to him so many times, is he your child? Why do you want to lose your life because you want to correct a man?If he hasn’t changed, he doesn’t want to change. Let him go. Leave that relationship or marriage before it ruins you. You mustn’t have to stab him. If you do, it must be because you have lost hope in yourself. You have come to believe that outside that relationship, you are nothing,” she said.
The Flawed star actress added, ‘I think we should love ourselves so much and put our happiness and wellbeing first before any other thing. Love yourself, pamper yourself. Anything that would mess with your head, let it go, forget about it. “

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to cry out after she mistakenly sent an outrageous sum of money to her ‘boyfriend’s church’ for her tithe payment.
The lady revealed she wanted to send N40,000 but ended up sending N400,000 and she tried lobbying to get her remaining money back but the church has been telling her ‘it was God’s doing that she sent the N400k. File Photo for descriptive purpose.
Her message reads ;
This is not really a relationship issue.
So my boyfriend made me start coming to his church sometimes around December 2019.
I enjoyed it, it is a very popular church in Lagos. My Boyfriend is a worker and his family goes there too.
I have never missed a tithe payment. My boyfriend idolizes the pastor, treats him like a mini go even. The pastor can’t do any wrong.
So sometimes last week, i wanted to pay my tithe of 40,000 and i mistakenly sent 400,000 to the church account.
I called my boyfriend immediately and he said we will talk about it. When we saw later i told him and he said i should go to the church and talk to junior pastor.
When i got to the church, the pastor started telling me that it is Gods doing that 400k entered and i should leave the money with them that i will get blessings.
I said i needed the money to my shop rent and equipment, they gave me bad eye.
I told my boyfriend and he said i should be patient. He was already angry that i insulted the church. I called my bank, they said the church has to refund it that they can’t do it.
Even my boyfriend’s mother and sister was not so nice to me when she saw me. They make me feel like i stole or i’m a thief.
I am confused, this is my money, i have bills to pay. Business has been slow this year. I love my boyfriend. It is a 2 year relationship which may lead to marriage. This may be the end of our relationship. I don’t have much money, i can’t give 400k i did not plan

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter, Jack Dorsey has cancelled his plan to relocate to Africa for up to six months in 2020. Jack described his tweets about moving to Africa as “a mistake”.
In November 2019, after visiting Africa on a month-long trip, Dorsey tweeted: “Sad to be leaving the continent … for now. Africa will define the future (especially the bitcoin one!). Not sure where yet, but I’ll be living here for 3-6 months mid-2020. Grateful I was able to experience a small part.”
However, Dorsey has now said that he needs to re-evaluates his plans about living in Africa due to the Coronavirus outbreak amongst other things
He said this while speaking at an investor conference sponsored by Morgan Stanley.
“When I tweeted about my intention to spend a few months in Africa this year, I made a mistake and should have provided more context about why. The continent will be one of the most populated in the next 20-30 years, and room for tech innovation there is incredible, but in light of COVID-19 and everything else going on I need to reevaluate. Either way, we’ll continue to pursue opportunities in Africa.” Dorsey said.
Coronavirus aside, Dorsey risks being replaced as Chief Executive Officer of the company he co-founded due to the new activist investors that are currently rooting for his removal.
News reports last week said Elliott Management, the activist hedge fund founded by billionaire Paul Singer, a major Republican political supporter, has acquired nearly 5% in Twitter and is now pushing for the removal of Dorsey as CEO, and has nominated four members to Twitter’s board.
The firm pushed for the change stating that Dorsey’s attention is divided between running Twitter and his financial transactions startup Square, and that Dorsey intends to live part of each year in Africa.
Dorsey said he remained capable of managing the two San Francisco-based tech firms.
“I have enough flexibility in my schedule to focus on the most important things and I have a good sense of what is critical on both companies,” he said.

A lady has recounted how a man she went on a date with ditched her after she refused to pay his bill.
The lady identified on twitter as Coco The Lagos Baker, recounted going on a date with a man her cousin introduced her to and after they both ordered and finished up, he expected her to pay the bill which she refused.
According to her, she paid for only what she had but the man who had expected her to pay the entire bill started making up lies that he forgot his ATM in the car. She however insisted she was not paying the bill and that was the beginning of the end of a date gone sour.
She recounted;
Men will embarrass you! Here’s a thread of how my date went today. So I meet this guy through my cousin and he asked me on a date, the date which was today was my first time ever seeing him.
I never get all dressed up for anything but for some reason I did make up and wore heels today, got all dressed up for nothing!! The guy came to pick me up from my house and took me a nice restaurant he had been ranting about
As always, I orders what I knew I could pay for if anything happened (thank God for sense) while uncle on the other hand ordered a bottles of 18k5 drink with Chinese and calamari, I just dey look dey shout wow for my mind
So we were talking while waiting for our order, that’s how this shameless 34 year old said that “I hope you know the bills are on you?” I just laughed it off thinking it was a joke cause he asked me on a date not the other way around
While we were eating, uncle was yanning me how he has a main girlfriend but he doesn’t love her anymore and he wants to start new with me and if I agree to date him he’s ready to get married in 5 months, blah blah blah, he’s serious about me, I look calm and collected
I look reasonable and responsible and he loves that I’m business oriented and independent, I just dey look am. Dears!! I say again! MEN WILL EMBARRASS YOU!
So we finished eating and the waiter came to clear our table and give us the bill (I had in mind to split it as I always offer) So I took the receipt and asked the waiter to bring the pos, me expecting the guy to also bring out his card as I had already put mine on the table
Uncle was just there pressing phone, bill was N33,500 My food cost N10,200 according to the bill, as I saw that the guy wasn’t even minding me and the waiter, I just pointed out with my finger the things on the list that I ate to the waiter and paid for my own food
And that was where the drama started I told him that he can’t expect me to pay for lunch that he offered to buy me cause it wasn’t in my budget, uncle now started with he forgot his atm card in the car…
That I should just pay for it, at this point the waiter was already being loud and I was getting irritated and embarrassed. I explained that I can’t do that as it wasn’t in my budget,
he was now like should he transfer to me so I can pay with my card? I agreed and gave my account details only for me to get credit if 3k in his name At this point I knew I was out with a clown, I was already so pissed and I couldn’t leave
I stood on my ground that I wasn’t going to pay because he was the one who invited me out, it was really embarrassing cause there were a group of coppers there and the whole thing was getting loud, he cash called someone and I think the person borrowed him money or something
But that’s not my business, obviously I was still expecting him to drop me back at home cause he came to pick me, we walked outside to the parking lot, got into the car, uncle started the car and asked me to come down and the drove off

His post reads ;
@FRSCNigeria Look at road safety officials, extorting my elder sister because she refused to part with 20k. Her offense was because she was rushing a pregnant woman that was in the throes of giving birth to the hospital.

They had to puncture her tire all in an attempt to stop her from taking the woman to the hospital. Is this what they are supposed to do on the roads?
She wasn’t speeding. They said the woman should have been on her seat belt and the lady told them she can’t use seatbelt as she is currently having severe cramps and rushing to the hospital. Is that enough reason for them to deflate her tires?
