Zambian authorities have seized a $2.8m Bugatti Veyron which arrived the country through Kenneth Kaunda International Airport on Monday February 24.

Lamonte McIntyre, from Kansas, USA has been awarded $1.5 million after being wrongfully convicted for two murders he didn’t commit and spending 23 years in prison.
Lamonte was convicted and sentenced to two terms of life in prison for the murders of Donald Ewing and Doniel Quinn back in 1994 after both victims had been shot in midday while in their car. Lamonte who was 17 at the time was not physically present and no evidence or motive linked him to the crime.
According to The Associated Press, Lamonte has been fighting for his freedom for the past 8 years and in court documents he alleged that the prosecutor in the case intimidated witnesses after they told her that Lamonte did not look like the shooter once they saw him in person. In court documents, Lamonte also alleged that the prosecutor and the presiding judge also had a romantic relationship that wasn’t known as at the time of conviction.
His legal team also alleged that that the ‘White’ detective who investigated the murders usually harassed African-American women, including Lamonte’s.
After serving more than 2 decades for a crime he didn’t commit, Lamonte was finally discharged from prison in 2017, and in 2019 filed a lawsuit against the state of Kansas to be compensated for wrongful conviction.
Lamonte McIntyre was awarded the sum of $1.5 million this week by the Kansas state government.
Lamonte McIntyre, convicted of a 1994 double homicide in Kansas City, Kan., was incarcerated for 23 years in Kansas prisons before released in October when the case against him was dismissed. He asked the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, to approve legislation to grant people wrongly convicted $80,000 for each year of imprisonment. “We are committed to faithfully administering the state’s mistaken-conviction law as the legislature wrote it,” “We were ultimately able to resolve all issues, satisfy all of the statute’s requirements, and agree to this outcome so Mr. McIntyre can receive the benefits to which he is entitled by law because of his mistaken conviction.”” Attorney General of Kansas, Derek Schmidt said in statement after the money was disbursed.
An Uber driver never expected the kind of reaction he got from Nigerians after taking to social media platform, Twitter, to shame a female rider who requested for her balance after reaching her destination.

A Nigerian journalist About a week ago shared a video on his IG page accusing Davido of assaulting him at the airport.
The journalist alleged that he met the singer at the airport and was so excited that he tried taking a picture with him but was stopped as Davido allegedly hit him on his chest.

An 18-year-old lady, Idowu Abosede, has been arrested by men of the Ogun state police command for stabbing her boyfriend, Aliyu Ibrahim, to death over N3,000.
A statement released by the state Police command spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the lovers were involved in an argument when the unfortunate incident happened. Abosede was arrested following a distress call from the Seriki Hausa in Sagamu area of the state.
The Divisional Police Officer in Sagamu, SP Okiki Agunbiade, was said to have detailed his detectives to the scene of the crime, where a blood-stained knife was recovered.
“On interrogation, the suspect claimed that she came to pass the night with the deceased and when it was morning, she took the sum of N3,000 from the deceased which he was not ready to part with. This led to an argument between them.
She further stated that it was the deceased who brought out the knife and in the cause of dragging it with him, the knife stabbed him on his chest.” Oyeyemi said in his statement.
The police spokesperson said the body of the deceased has been handed over to his relations on demand for burial according to Islamic injunctions.
A 100 Level Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH student identified as Barnabas Otu, drowned in a swimming pool in Calabar hours after matriculation.
It was gathered that the student who just gained admission into the Department of Urban and Regional planning, faculty of Environmental Sciences did his Matriculation on Monday, February 24, 2020.
According to reports, the incident occurred at Orange Resort, Akai Efa in Calabar Municipality local government area, where the students had gone to celebrate their successful matriculation.
The Public Relations Officer of CRUTECH, Mr. Onen Onen confirmed the incident.
“The information is true, but I don’t have many details now because I travelled, when I come back, I am going to compile a report on that”, he said.

A 16-year-old boy, who allegedly hid in a bank toilet overnight and stole N340,000, was arrested and yesterday brought before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
The teenager was arraigned by the Ajah Police Division, Lagos, on a one-count charge of stealing.

The Prosecuting Inspector Peace Chukwudi told the court in a charge marked C/09/2020 that the teenager committed the offence on February 19.
Chukwudi alleged that the defendant was caught by security officials in the banking hall of a branch of First City Monument Bank (FCMB).
The boy reportedly confessed that he gained entry into the bank just before 4pm, during closing time rush hour.
He went to the toilet and hid until everyone left for the day.
The court heard that the boy ransacked the workers’ safe at about 2:30 am, found the sum of N340,000 and concealed it in his clothes.
General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has advised Christians to pay their tithes in full.
Reiterating the message on tithing, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said that paying less than one’s tithe is deception. He noted that it was better that such a person did not pay it at all.
The man of God made this statement through his official Instagram page.
According to him, it is impossible to deceive God because He knows all things.
The RCCG pastor shared some bible verses to buttress his point, noting that no one should attempt to deceive God.
Pastor Adeboye then proceeded to share the story of a man who joined the church many years ago under the pretence of a hardworking person.
According to the pastor, God told him that the man was a spy and was operating from the church so that he would not be easily discovered.
The RCCG pastor said he confronted and told the man that he would be exposed. According to him, the man was picked by the then military government of Nigeria within seven days.
The man of God said that deceiving God had grave consequences. He called for the repentance of people who may be guilty about the issue.
It is impossible to deceive God because He knows ALL things, including the thoughts of your heart and the motives behind your actions.
In Samuel 15:13-15 for example, King Saul told Samuel that he had already obeyed God’s commandments as regards the Amalekites.
However, the latter heard the noise of animals. The King then lied that they were for sacrifice to God.

The lady who revealed that her boyfriend helped her book the flight from Norway to Belgium, said she got there and find him with another woman.

Aishat Ugochi Obi and Nurudeen (Nicholas) Ikeocha who converted to Islam are ready to marry in Imo state.
The marriage will be coming up on Friday, April 10, 2020. Some report has claimed that it would be the first Igbo Islamic marriage in the state.
According to a user on Nairaland, though many think all Igbos are Christians, he is sharing the news to show that it is untrue as there are some who are Muslims.
“There have been this notion that Igbos are all Christians, well I present to you, the first open Igbo Muslim marriage. Igbos are known to be very accommodating.

A woman shared photos of the injuries her ex-boyfriend inflicted on her because she reposted Pretty Mike’s post stating that a beautiful woman isn’t meant for only one man.

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, is still insisting that Coronavirus is caused by Corruption.

The Nigerian Police Force, Ogun State Command, has dismissed the SARS officer involved in the killing of footballer Tiamiyu Kazeem.
Olaniyi Ogunsoro, a Special Anti-Robbery Squad officer, was dismissed for the part he played in the death of Remo Stars assistant captain Tiamiyu Kazeem, who died on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
According to a Press release by Remo Stars Football Club, Tiamiyu was picked up by SARS officials on his way home from training with a colleague. He was accused of being an internet Fraudster (Yahoo boy).
Tiamiyu reportedly identified himself as a footballer as the SARS operatives were taking him to their office in Abeokuta and he was allegedly pushed out from the SARS vehicle by the officers. An oncoming vehicle crushed him to death on the Sagamu-Abeokuta Expressway.
A police statement initially claimed the footballer jumped out of the vehicle in an attempt to escape and was crushed by an oncoming vehicle. However, Sanni Abubakar, a friend and teammate of Kazeem, who was also arrested by the SARS officials, said the SARS officials pushed Tiamiyu out of their Toyota Sienna vehicle before he was killed by an oncoming vehicle.
The father of the deceased, Fasasi said the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Criminal Investigation Department, Force Headquarters, Mr Ogunyonwon Peter, visited his family and promised to ensure that any officer involved in the death of Kaka is made to face justice.
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun also visited the grieving family and promised to ensure that justice is served
Controversial Nollywood actress, Idemudia Etinosa has replied the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman over his recent comment about bleaching.
The outspoken cleric had described those who bleach as fraudsters, adding that those who bleach the color of their skin end up smelling and are prone to contracting cancer.
In his words ;
“Can I give you a counsel as a boy and a girl, don’t bleach.
“Bleaching has no end, anything that moves from the original has no end.
“When you start bleaching you start smelling because you’re taking off the original layer.

Controversial relationship blogger, Blessing Okoro has charged women to stop taking care of men financially.
According to her, women have become desperate for marriage that they take on this responsibility. In a lengthy Instagram video, she spoke about the importance of men providing for women as it has been written in the holy book.
According to her, while women were cursed with going through labour to birth a child, a man’s curse is to provide. She went on to differentiate between a man and a boy. According to her, take away that responsibility of providing from a man and he becomes a jobless boy whose only interest is sleeping with women.
“Women stop providing for men. Stop being so desperate for marriage by giving them money. You have made them constantly lazy and they have become boys. Allow a man take up his responsibility to provide. That is his job. A man sole responsibility to provide.

The Niger State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old mother of two identified as Hassan Bala of Usuba for the attempted kidnap of one Umar Sarkin Turaku of Kawo village in Kontagora Local Government Area of the state.
Hassan who was arrested after a tip-off, joined the kidnapping business following a seperation from her husband. She reportedly planned to abduct Turaku on February 19, 2020, but her prospective victim reported the incident to the police before the plan was perfected.
Turaku reportedly filed a complaint with the police after receiving threatening phone calls, asking him to pay a ransom of N5million or risk being kidnapped.
Confessing to the crime, the mother of two said;
“After separating from my husband, I got a man friend who introduced me to this business, and that was how I started ruining my life because of money. I am a disgrace to womanhood. Since I left my husband, my life and situation have worsened. Life is not fair to me in all standards. It is unfortunate. I regret my action; my family, children and friends will definitely desert me, but I pray they find a place in their hearts to forgive me.”
Niger State Police spokesman, Muhammad Abubakar told newsmen that the suspect who has already confessed to the crime will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigation.
