A househelp was recently caught stealing from a Lagos family that employed her two weeks ago.

Her boss who confronted the househelp as seen in videos she shared, identified her as Esther USEN Achiebong from Cross River State.

Tracynither Nicolas Ohiri revealed that the girl had only worked for her for 13 days before stealing her children’s piggy bank which had N64,000, clothes and household items. Upon being confronted after the security guard confessed to knowing about the theft, the househelp reportedly ran into the guest toilet with a knife.

Ohiri wrote as she shared the videos;

This is Esther USEN Achiebong from Cross Rivers State. She has worked with me for only 13 days. For these 13 days she worked for me, she stole my children’s money worth N64,000 (she broke their saving box and sealed it back) cloths and Household items. Her elder sister who works with Garment Care comes to the gate to pick the items up from her every evening. She pretends she is going to buy recharge card carrying those items in a Dustbin nylon. Besides her Salary is N50k.

Fellow Campers I searched Esther’s wallet and found some phone numbers. I just spoke with one Mrs Uzo Ayonnuke & to my shock the woman said Esther Stole so much from her & they have been looking for her since December

After the last lady she worked for spoke to her through my phone, Esther stood up, ran into my kitchen, grabbed a Knife and ran into my guest toilet & locked herself. We have called the police, they are on their way.

Outreach and education has largely stopped the shootings, according to a NOAA statement.

A young man has shared pictures of his amazing weight loss and how he reached the decision he had to do this.

Taking to his social media page, the young man identified as Felix Okoro explained how wanting to be healthy, strong and happy led to his weight loss journey.

Felix wrote ;

I’ve always though weight loss was going to be a horrible and stressful experience.

I wanted to be healthy, strong, most especially happy for who I was.
Don’t get me wrong, someone can be on the plus side and be happy for who they are. But for me it was hard for me to be ‘fat and happy’. When you’re unhappy with yourself and how you look, you would try to change yourself, in order to accept yourself. People would tell me “I like that you are happy with the way you look” and I’ll reply with a smile “Yes I am” but deep down I knew I wasn’t.

I started walking for at least 1 hour a day before my friend told me of a final year project on weight loss and I decided to give it a try. We used dance cardio by #keairalashae for the workout and I continued with the workouts even after the project ended.
I started my journey in 2019 with 150 kg and 8 months later, I weigh 90kg

A Twitter user shared a couple of photos showing how students live and sleep in his school hostel and the living condition has shocked Twitter users.

In the photo shared online, students are seen sleeping on the floor in the middle of the room as all the bunks were occupied.

No fewer than 8 bodies can be seen lying on flat mattresses on the floor of the small dorm room.

The condition means that if a student wakes up at night and needs to use the bathroom, he’ll have to climb over sleeping bodies to leave the room.

The Twitter user revealed that the photo was taken in Jaja Hall, University of Lagos. He added that the rooms are “dominated by squatters that have no other options because the university doesn’t have enough bedspaces to accommodate students.”

He went on to reveal that he sleeps on a “slab” as no bed space was allocated to him.

Sharing the photos, student Akorede Ayanbisi wrote: “A view of how we live in school hostel, and after all these struggles and suffering to get the degree, the labour market isn’t even assured. E go be.”

He added: “This is Jaja Hall, University of Lagos. A 6 man room dominated by squatters that have no other options because the university doesn’t have enough bedspaces to accommodate students. And apartments off campus is very expensive, they cost between 300k to 700k per session.

“What if I tell you guys this is my own bedspace, I balloted for bedspace but I didn’t get. I have no option than to sleep on a slab, because the school has limited bedspaces and apartments off campus cost between 400k to 700k per session. Federal uni needs to do better.”

Yarraka Bayles, from Brisbane, filmed her son Quaden crying in the car after she picked him up from school on Wednesday.

In the video, Quaden told his mother: ‘Give me a rope, I want to kill myself.’

The video went viral and Quaden and his family have received support and encouragement from Australian sports stars and kind strangers from around the world.

A Comedian also raised almost $200,000 to send the boy to Disneyland.

Mr Williams, who also has dwarfism, wrote: ‘I’m setting up this GoFundMe to let Quaden know that bullying will not be tolerated, and that he is a wonderful human being who deserves joy.

I want to fly Quaden and his mother to America, get them a nice hotel, and bring them to Disneyland.

‘Let’s show Quaden and others that there is good in the world and they are worthy of it.’

Mr Williams said that if too much is donated the excess would be given to anti-bullying charities.

A mother has shared a sad video of her son crying and threatening to take his own life after being bullied at school yet again.

In the video, Quaden, 9, who was born with Achondroplasia, a form of Dwarfism, is visibly sad as he describes how he plans to take his life.

The mother said ;

“I’ve just picked up my son from school, witnessed a bullying episode, rang the principal, and I want people [to] know, parents, educators teachers, this is the effects that bullying has, this is what bullying does.”

Bayles told SBS that she arrived at school to find female students “patting him on the head like a puppy” and making comments about his height.

She added: “She was patting him on the head like a little puppy. My daughter and I looked at each other and we made signals to him to ask if you are right, and he was like ‘no’ and he was looking at me horrified, like ‘don’t make a scene mum’.

“You could tell he was very uncomfortable but he was so good at trying to shrug things off, he doesn’t want people to know how much it’s affecting him, he’s so strong and confident but it’s times like these when you just see him crumble. It was just heartbreaking to watch, it made me feel helpless.”
