American superstar rapper, Lil Wayne in a new video making rounds online has disclosed he is 53% Nigerian.
According to the rapper, he got to know about his Nigerian side after a genealogy search was conducted by a website he shared some of his details on.
Lil Wayne who jokingly said he is going to have a talk with his mum, added that he has to see what Nigeria looks like.

The Kokun Foundation gifted a lady identified as Sandra a car, after she went viral in an interview she did to speak against the ban of commercial motorcycles in Lagos.
Sandra, an OND graduate of Accountancy from College of Technology, is currently on her one-year Industrial Training with one of the bike-hailing company as a ‘rider’ and as such, was affect with the sudden #OkadaBan in Lagos State.
In the viral video captured by Legit.ng, Sandra earnestly pleaded with the Government to regulate the bike services and NOT ban them because there were so many people who would become unemployed and experience a more difficult life due to the ban.
Sandra also said she was currently doing the job because she wants to save enough money to sponsor her quest for a Higher National Certificate when the time comes.
It seems her new benefactor, Kokun, came across the video on social media and decided to ease her pain by giving her a brand new car.

Nigerian students schooling at the University of Arkansas, United States, held an event to re-enact the NYSC experience so that their host community and other foreign students could experience what it’s like.
The Nigerian Students re-enacted the NYSC camp drills, mammy market, NYSC Passing Out Parade, presentation of NYSC discharge certificate, and other aspects of NYSC.

Osun State Police Command on Tuesday paraded two suspected ritualists, Adesina Adeniyi 42, and Oluwole Olapade, 58, caught with two human skulls.
The command also paraded two suspected armed robbery suspects who were captured after a gun duel with Police at Osu in Atakumosa West Local Government Area of the state.
Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo said Adeniyi, a patent medicine shop owner, was arrested in Iwo while travelling in a commercial bus to Ibadan, Oyo State.
He added that he was caught with two human skulls and a liver after a thorough search by men of 39 Police Mobile Force attached to Iwo Area Command.
According to him, the suspect who resides at Kajola area in Iwo disclosed to the police during interrogation that the skull and the liver were recovered from a Muslim cemetery and a mortuary in the town, where he was an attendant.
Following the gruesome murder of Favour Oladele-Daley, we have pledged to rid the state of a ritual element in the state and during one of such efforts, a suspected ritualist was caught with two human skull and other human parts.
After the arrest of the suspect and upon diligent investigation, his accomplice, Oluwole Olapade, a resident of Yemetu in Ibadan was trailed and arrested.
Olapade, a native doctor, who required human skull for charm had pledged to pay N20,000 per skull to the attendants. He had gotten a skull before which he claimed did not produce money, hence, he decided another skull should be procured for use”, the Commissioner of police added.
While responding to questions from journalists, Adeniyi said he his a patent medicine store owner, but they source for the skulls in a cemetery in the town.
He said, “I sourced for the skull in an open cemetery in the town and I have gotten one for him before and was suppose to deliver another one to him before I was caught.
“For now I operate a patent medicine store and yet to be married.
“The native doctor claimed to have known Adeniyi for long because his father was his acquittance before his demise.
Meanwhile, police also claimed to have burst a fake Naval base operated by Nigeria Navy Coastal Merchant.
It arrested five persons, four suspected recruit and a self-acclaimed Naval Captain Akinsiku Sunkanmi, 27, for impersonation.
Four other suspects arrested at the base were; Aniedu Essiet, Nwabueze Ijeoma Dalton, Raheem Quadri and Gabriel Jacob.
Suspects arrested at the merchant Navy base at Ifon-Osun.
The suspects said they were recruited into the service after paying fees ranging from N100,000 to N200,000.
According to them, the person who recruited them has refused to show at the police station to bail them.
Rabi Rabi’u, a 17-year-old housewife, who stabbed her husband to death, in Almakiyayi village, Malumfashi Local Government Area in Katsina state has been paraded by the Police Command of the state.
Rabi was paraded before newsmen, and spokesman of the command, SP Gambo Isah, said that Rabi Rabi’u stabbed her husband while he was asleep after an earlier altercation betwen the two.
“On 29/01/2020 at about 05:30hrs, DPO Malumfashi Division responded to a distress call based on a report that one Shamsu Salisu, m, aged 25yrs of Almakiyayi village, Malumfashi LGA of Katsina state had an altercation with his wife one Rabi Rabi’u, f, aged 17yrs of the same address, but later while he was asleep the wife stabbed him with knife in several places in his body including his abdomen. As a result, he sustained serious injuries.
The Police team rushed the victim to Malumfashi General Hospital where he was confirmed dead by the attending physician. In the course of investigation the police have recovered a sharp knife and a bed sheet all stained with blood. Investigation is ongoing.” sai SP Gambo.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office have arrested a suspected internet fraud kingpin, Onwuzuruike Kingsley Ikenna (a.k.a Nwanta Anayoeze Yonaracha).
The suspect was arrested in his residence on Uzuakoli Road by Umuada Junction, Umuahia, Abia State on January 26, 2020, following intelligence on his alleged fraudulent internet activities.
Ikenna’s specialty is Business Email Compromise (BEC) and identity fraud. His victims allegedly include a major United States bank.
Properties linked to the suspects include a mansion with swimming pool, a petrol station and nine units of three bedroom apartments, all in Umuahia and a palatial bungalow in his village.
A lady, simply identified as “Mama Twins,” was today assaulted by her husband, Chukwu, at Ayeitobi amakale, #Alagbado, #LagosState.
It was gathered that the wife had requested to get a job as she was tired of being a full time housewife bringing nothing to the table, but her decision infuriated her husband.

“So what I wasn’t even sure was contraction started this morning at about 6:30am. Thought they were just cramps but as they intensified, we had to head to the hospital by 6:50am. ⠀
We were heading to Eko hospital Ikeja from Ogba. Lagos traffic this morning was gangster. We decided to take Oregun road. At the time the contractions had become unbearably painful. But I just kept telling myself we would still make it in good time as my water had kuku not broken yet. Before I knew what was happening water broke o. ⠀
This was about 7:30 or so. And I calmly made the announcement so that my husband sitting in front and driver would not panic more than necessary. Got to Oregun and traffic was really bad. By this time, with each contraction I was groaning like a wounded lion (no kidding!). ⠀
There’s a level of pain that is beyond cry o! I remember they always warn us at antenatal that we should never push (resist as much as possible) until we are up to 10cm dilated else you harm yourself or the baby. But then, when one is at about 7-8cm, the body just keeps pushing the baby out by itself and that’s always the hardest part of labour for me. I resisted for as long as I could, plus no medical personnel to check me if I had gotten to 10cm yet. ⠀
By that time my husband was telling the driver we should turn back and look for any hospital around Oregun. At the same time I told both of them that if they have any doctor friend they should call for me to speak with the person and ask how I can deliver the baby and what to do when it comes (by this time I already knew he was going to come in the car). They called a doctor and that one was just shouting ‘tell her not to push o, she should hold on small while you guys find a hospital around’.⠀
Hold on ke, me that could already feel head, despite the fact that I closed my legs shut, trying to keep the baby in. The next contraction and groan sent the head out fully. And I just kept shouting ‘oh shit, he’s here, oh my God, he’s here!’ My husband turned and saw head. Before he could turn a second time, I had a whole baby in my hands.
The driver was already traumatized ??. Before he came out, I just kept praying to God that he would come out and cry by himself. Because that’s where I would have been completely clueless, if he hadn’t cried or maybe wasn’t breathing immediately.

It’s a medical personnel that would know what to do in that case. But he came out crying loudly and it was the most beautiful sound ever! We still hadn’t found hospital o. AC was on, car was so cold even after turning it off, baby was still crying I’m guessing because he was cold, wet, sticky, our hospital bags including baby clothes and blankets were in the trunk of the car, my husband in his confused state had started pulling shirt for me to wrap baby with..⠀

That was when we saw a couple nearby that directed us to a primary health center that was just about two minutes away. We got there and in a few seconds nurses and midwives were all over the place collecting baby, cutting cord, delivering placenta all inside the taxify guy’s car ?. ⠀One then said how do we now carry her inside, I remember shouting ‘I can walk now, my leg did not break’. We all laughed while I was thinking to myself ‘Omg what just happened, did I just have my baby in the car!’ ⠀
I know this post is super long, but I just had to do it to tell you guys how faithful God is. A million and one things could have gone wrong, but God was truly in every detail of this delivery. He delivered this baby himself and caused us to laugh in the end! Guys meet my beautiful boy⠀

The Embassy of China has said that it has not suspended visa issuance to Nigerians.
The Press Officer, Embassy of China, Sun Saixiong, explained on Tuesday that the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Zhou Pingjian, only advised those who wished to travel to China “not to be in a rush if the trip was not urgent.”
The diplomat said the government had reached out to about 60 Nigerians living in Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak.
Giving an update on the epidemic in Abuja on Monday, Pingjian had disclosed that China had found a cure for the epidemic, adding that 475 persons had been discharged from the hospital after recovery.
He also said that the Coronavirus infection had risen to 17,205 from 14,380 confirmed cases while 361 persons had died from the disease which originated from Wuhan in China.
About 21,558 individuals were also suspected of being infected with the virus in the Chinese mainland.
He revealed that Chinese scientists are working to develop a vaccine for the virus which the World Health Organisation had declared as an international public health emergency.
According to him, scientists have assured that the epidemic would lose its momentum in the next two weeks.
The envoy said, “As of 7am Abuja time today (Monday), the total number of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection climbed to 17,205 and 21,558 people were suspected of being infected with the virus in the Chinese mainland, according to China’s National Health Commission.”
“A total of 361 people had died, 475 people had been discharged from hospital after recovery. These are not numbers, these are lives, families, communities. This is going to be an unforgettable Spring Festival for the Chinese as families are separated but united to stand together in the face of the disease “he said”
Pingjian stated that the Chinese Premier, Xi Jinping had repeatedly given important instructions on prevention and control work and personally held a meeting on redeployment and remobilization.
The ambassador said China was willing to work with other countries, including Nigeria, to respond to the epidemic effectively.
“We have informed the World Health Organisation, relevant countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan about the latest epidemic situation, and have shared information on virus gene sequences with all parties at the first time,” Pingjian pointed out.
He stated that there was no need for restriction of international travel and trade over the disease, adding that under the current circumstances, “solidarity is what the world needs.”

A Man has been confined to a hospital bed to recover after a 52 year old woman bit his tongue for using it to kiss her while they were making out.
According to Prosecutor Eric J. Smith, the woman, Youlette Wedgeworth, and the man were engaged in a consensual kiss on January 28 when the incident occurred. She had asked him to not put his tongue in her mouth. When he did anyway, she bit it off.
Police in responding to the incident which happened January 28, found the man bleeding from his mouth, and recovered one inch of his tongue in his bedroom, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement to CNN.
“I believe this is the first case of this nature in my 27 years in the prosecutor’s office,” Smith said in the statement.
Wedgeworth has been charged with aggravated assault, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

I knew I did my part in training our children, but the greater duties was taken by GLORIA.
She was never tired of sitting them down to teach them the Word of God.
She was never tired of giving them Cautions.
She was never tired of even controlling how they eat and what they eat.
GLORIA IS AN IDEAL WIFE.
If I had not accepted Jesus Christ, I would have missed HER.
Because I would never have heard the Voice that spoke to me that morning to leave where I was and travel to where I met her for the first time.
I thank God oooooo!
I thank God that all the Sisters I approached previously turned down my Proposals.
God bless them all for turning down my Proposals.
I was Blind.
I did not see that NONE of them was the Ordained One.
I did not know.
But Jesus Christ made them all to turn down you Proposals.
Until I Proposed to the Only Sister Who did not turn me back, but prayed over my Proposals and replied me after One Month.
Ah! She never saw any inadequacies in me but VISIONS and CALLING and MINISTRY.
No job, but ministry.
No house but Only One Room that contained all my belongings: standing hanger, cupboard, bookshelf, cooking pots and a standing Fan that had no leg and a small black and white Television.
She saw into the future!
She saw Greatness and Relevance in the future.
She Married me at 24!
TODAY, SHE IS 56!

Clergyman, Mike Bamiloye, is all about thanking God today as his wife of 31 years, Gloria, turns 56 years old.
In a post shared on his IG page, Pastor Mike who is the head of popular Christian drama group, Mount Zion Faith Drama Ministry, thanked God specifically for allowing all the ladies he previously approached for marriage to decline his proposal. According to him, Gloria is the ordained woman for him.

English footballers of Nigeria descent, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, were pictured hanging out with Nigerian singer, Davido during the after party of the singer’s brother’s wedding in Dubai.
The footballers who are in Dubai as part of their winter break, were spotted hanging out with Davido, months after they snubbed the Super Eagles to represent England internationally.
Davido is currently in Dubai for his elder brother, Adewale Adeleke’s wedding and Chelsea won’t be playing till 17th of February so the players decided to party with the singer.
A video which has gone viral on social media captured moment some operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) rescued some kidnap victims.
The kidnap victims (two men and 1 woman) were rescued by the SARS operatives while their abductors were away. The SARS operatives were heard saying they were called into the abandoned building by some concerned citizens.
One of the male kidnap victims whose eyes and hands were tied by the kidnappers, told the security operatives that he was abducted “last night” when questioned. He also said that the kidnappers raped their female victim.
It is however unclear if those behind the sad act have been arrested. Here is the video below;
UPDATE: The Nigeria Police Special Anti- Robbery Squad, SARS, in Abia state killed two suspected kidnappers and rescued 3 victims in Aba.
Confirming the incident to Vanguard in Umuahia, Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr Ene Okon said the hoodlums had last week, abducted three persons in the commercial city, including a lady. The CP said one Michael Maduabuchukwu, 39, was kidnapped at Ariaria Junction by St.
Mary, on Friday while Emeka Emeyeonu, 38, and Mercy Akuka, 30, were both abducted at Asa Umudim near Aba, on Saturday. Okon explained that after the incident, the Command got intelligence that the kidnappers moved the victims to their hideout at Ekeakpara, Osisioma Ngwa council area.
The CP said he detailed SARS Commander in Abia, SP Johnbull Obioguru to fish out the hoodlums and rescue their victims.
In the early hours of yesterday, the SARS commander with his team stormed the kidnappers’ hideout and rescue their victims. The CP further stated that when the criminals saw the SARS team, they opened fire and the security operatives responded.
In the ensuing gun duel, the CP said two of the kidnappers were shot dead while others fled. The three kidnapped victims were rescued while the guns used by the hoodlums were also recovered.
In his words; “During the rescue operation, the hoodlums exchanged fire with the operatives, as a result, two of the kidnap suspects were gunned down and the guns they used were recovered.”
Okon who said the feat was in line with his resolve to leave Abia better than he met it security-wise, promised that efforts were in progress to arrest the fleeing members of their gang.
