A 26-year-old man identified as Ojo Ibrahim got himself burnt while trying to vandalize a transformer at Araromi street in Ijebu-Ijesa in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun state.
According to the state police command, the vandal had gone to the transformer house at night when power supply had been cut off. However while he was committing the crime, electricity was restored and he was burnt severely.
The residents in the area found him writhing in pain when they woke up in the morning. He was later handed over to the police and will be arraigned in court soon.
A Federal High Court in Lagos today fixed January 15th 2020 as the resumption date for the trial of Instagram Big Man, Ismaila Mustapha aka Mompha.
Recall that Mompha was arrested by EFCC operatives at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja on October 19th and was arraigned before the court on November 25th on a 14 count-charge bordering on Money Laundering and suspected internet fraud. He was arraigned alongside his company, Ismalob Global Investment.
The High Commission alleged that Mompha used Ismalob Global Investment, owned by him, to retain the aggregate sum of N18.05billion between 2015 and 2019. He was also alleged to have aided his company to retain N14.9 billion between 2015 and 2017, while not complying with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Federal Ministry of Trades and Investment financial transactions requirement.
The EFCC also accused Mompha and his firm of unlawfully negotiating a Foreign Exchange transaction with total sum of N630, 125, 900 million, for some individuals. According to the EFCC, the offences contravened Sections 18(c) and 15(2)(d) of the Money Laundering Prohibition Act, 2011 and punishable under Section 15 (3) of the same Act.
Mompha was granted bail by the court on November 29th and after fulfilling his bail condition, he was released on Decembe 9th.
Apostle Chris Omashola has alleged that fans of singer, Naira Marley, who refer to themselves as Marlians, are after his life.
According to Omashola, since he revealed his 2020 prophecy, he has gotten death threat messages sent to him via text or on the different social media platforms by Marlians.
The clergyman said as part of his 2020 prophecies, God told him that Naira Marley is a Demon and is also Satanic. He claims to have received so many threats since his prophecy became public.

A video that is going viral on social media captured the moment a popular pastor performed deliverance on some of his Church members with a football.

A middle-aged man, David Kigoma Onguyi has been arraigned in court after verbally abusing a female trader at Maasai Market in Kenya.
The porter-cum-menial worker was charged with creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause breach of peace, after insulting the woman identified simply as Nyaboke at the market where she runs a Maasai curio shop on January 5, 2020.
The heated exchange ensued after the suspect who took a customer to Nyaboke’s shop on December 19 where she bought goods worth Ksh500, refused giving her the money but promised to settle the debt “later in the day”.
All attempts for Onguyi to give Nyaboke the money was futile, leading to claims of the trader’s private part stinking at the market where other traders and customers watched in disbelief.

A Boeing 737-800 plane carrying at least 176 people bound for the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, has crashed a few minutes after taking off from Tehran’s main international airport.

A team of doctors in Nigeria have successfully conducted a surgery that separated a set of conjoined twins.
The doctors spent 13 hours performing complex surgery to separate Goodness and Mercy Martins at the National Hospital Abuja. The surgery involved 78 doctors working in two groups.
Goodness and Mercy Martins were born on 13th of August 2018 at the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi Nasarawa state, through a caesarean session.
Their unemployed mother had no idea she was expecting twins and she was even more shocked when they came out joined at the chest and abdomen.
Lead surgeon Emmanuel Ameh told the BBC the operation to separate Goodness and Mercy Martins at the chest and abdomen took place in November and the two sisters were now well enough to go home.
He said the operation, which cost about $55,000, was complicated. But the medics at National Hospital Abuja did not charge for their work because the twins’ parents – Michael Edeh and Maria Onya Martins – could not afford the medical bills. They rely on Mr Martins’ salary as a painter to get by.
Consultant pediatric surgeon, Professor Emmanuel Ameh, who led the team of experts, explained that the case Goodness and Mercy Martins was unusual because they were joined at two of the most delicate organs of the body.
He presented a short animation video which explained the steps taken to separate the sisters.
“This is an extremely rare condition. The biggest challenge we faced had to do with their separation at the chest region. This is really the first time that twins joined in the chest and the abdomen are separated throughout the entire country. All the other separated twins are joined only in one organ,” Ameh said.
The National Hospital Abuja has separated about 11 conjoined twins over the last 20 years, but in those cases all the twins had been joined at the abdomen.
The hospital’s medical director, Jaff Momoh, said this case stood out as it was the first time an operation had involved the lower chest wall, liver and diaphragm.
The father of the twins, Mr Martins, a painter from Oturkpo, said he was so happy to see his daughters alive and well. He added that the family was looking forward to returning home.
He said: “I am so happy to see Goodness wrapped separately. I initially couldn’t believe it. My gratitude goes to God and the medical team. May this success continue.”
His wife said words were not enough to thank the team of doctors and the kindness of the hospital staff.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI has reportedly nabbed a Nigerian-American Arinze Michael Ozor, based in Bowie Maryland for using fake passports to facilitate a money laundering conspiracy involving nearly $1 million.
The 36-year-old Nigerian has pleaded guilty to the charges of forgery or false use of a passport, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland said in a release Monday.
According to reports, Ozor used at least two passports to open eight so-called “drop accounts”, prosecutors said.
He reportedly took more than $976,000 from business email compromise schemes and romance fraud schemes and put it in those accounts.
Officials say Ozor used a Ghanaian passport to open five bank accounts and a Beninese passport to open three additional accounts. The money was then largely sent to other entities involved in the schemes.
Ozor is expected to be sentenced in May. He could spend up to 10 years in prison.

Arinze Michael Ozor, age 36, of Bowie, Maryland, a dual citizen of the United States and Nigeria, pleaded guilty on January 3, 2020, to federal charges of forgery or false use of a passport, in connection with his use of false passports to open “drop accounts” for a money laundering conspiracy.
The guilty plea was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Robert K. Hur; Special Agent in Charge Jennifer C. Boone of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Baltimore Field Office; and Special Agent in Charge Edwin Guard of the Washington Field Office of the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS).
According to his plea agreement, Ozor, a dual citizen of Nigeria and the United States, used at least two fraudulent passports as part of a money laundering conspiracy to open eight “drop accounts” to receive the proceeds from fraud schemes, including business e-mail compromise schemes and romance fraud schemes. The funds deposited to the accounts were largely disseminated to other entities as part of the conspiracy by Ozor and others.
Specifically, Ozor admitted that he used a Ghanaian passport in the name of Kelvin Green to open accounts at five banks between December 2017 and January 2018. Although the passport contained purported identifiers for Green, it contained Ozor’s photograph. When one of the banks froze the account due to suspicion of fraudulent activity, Ozor met with a banker to discuss regaining access to the account and presented the same Ghanaian passport in support of his request.
Ozor further admitted that from March 23, 2018 through May 1, 2018, he used a purported Beninese passport in the name of Jacob Hessou to open accounts at three additional banks. As with the Ghanaian passport, the Beninese passport contained purported identifiers for Hessou, but contained Ozor’s photograph.
The investigation found that Ozor does not have a validly issued passport from Ghana or Benin. In addition, the Kelvin Green Ghanaian passport number and the Jacob Hessou Beninese passport number were actually issued to other individuals by the respective governments and not to Green or Hessou.
More than $976,000 was involved in the money laundering conspiracy from the eight accounts opened by Ozor using the fraudulent passports.
Ozor faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison.

A Nigerian mother, Uche Osagie who lost her three children in a car accident which occurred on New Year’s Day has spoken out on the devastating event.
Narrating how the devastating and unimaginable loss occurred, Uche said her three children died in the collision which took place at northern Ontario highway while on her way to file an appeal for permanent status in Canada.

62-year-old Floyd Sullivan, the man who helped raise HipHop stars, Rae Sremmurd and their brothers when they were young have been confirmed dead following a shooting in Mississippi.
Police officers from Tupelo Police Department who were dispatched to the home of the deceased on Monday night, found that he died from multiple gunshot injuries.
The singers’ younger brother, Michael was detained for psychiatric evaluation by the police who described him as a person of interest in the shooting.
TMZ reports that the police who commented on the death of Floyd who married Rae Sremmurd’s mother Bernadette and also had a son with her, said no one else is being sought in connection with the killing which led to the detention of 19-year-old Michael.
