Gospel musician, Nathaniel Bassey has called on Christians to cry to God over the Coronavirus which broke out in China.
The virus which has claimed over a hundred lives with about 5000 people infected is now fast spreading to other parts of the world.
Saddened by the development, Nathaniel Bassey took to social media to tell Christians what to do about the Coronavirus.
He wrote:
“People of God this is more serious than we think. Please raise a prayer wherever you are and whenever you meet to fellowship. It’s spreading like fire. But we can stem this tide in the spirit, in Jesus’ name.
““Arise, Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all to see. For the glory of the Lord rises to shine on you. Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.” Isaiah 60:1-2 NLT”
Popular Blogger, Noble Igwe has narrated the story surrounding his daughter’s birth as she marks her 3rd birthday.
Noble revealed that his daughter came into this world, it wasn’t love at first sign because he was more concerned for his wife’s health and hoped she’ll live after childbirth.
However, with time, when the worst was over, he bonded with his daughter and fell in love with her totally.

A drug-smuggling tunnel equipped with its own railway and lift has been discovered at the US border with Mexico.
The 4,300ft passage which is believed to have been built by El Chapo’s Sinaloa cartel is said to be the longest known illicit underground route into the United States.
Back in February, the infamous drug lord was found guilty of 10 charges, including drug trafficking and money laundering by a federal court in New York.
In July 2019, El Chapo was handed a life imprisonment sentence, ending his notorious and brutal criminal career after he was recaptured in 2016 and extradited to the US.
The drug-smuggling tunnel which is on average 70ft below ground and almost 6ft high and 2ft wide was reportedly built with a ventilation system, high-voltage power cables, and drainage.
According to the Mirror, the tunnel starts in an industrial area of the border city of Tijuana in Mexico, ending in a neighborhood of San Diego, California. where its entrance was found covered by several sandbags.
It was discovered by authorities in August but has only now been revealed.
San Diego customs official Cardell Morant said: “The sophistication and length of this tunnel demonstrates the time-consuming efforts transnational criminal organizations will undertake to facilitate cross-border smuggling.”
It was also reported that El Chapo, whose real name is Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera sent some men to Germany to learn how to construct such underground passages to take millions of pounds’ worth of drugs into the US.
Justice Jide Falola of Osun State High Court in Ikirun on Thursday sentenced three men, Nuhu Jimoh, David Ndubisi and Oluwaseun Aderibigbe, to death by hanging for bank robbery.
Thirty-two people, including two police personnel and two bank workers, were killed during the exchange of gunfire between the robbers and the police during the robbery that occurred on February 12 , 2016,
Justice Falola, while delivering the judgement, found the men guilty of launching coordinated attacks on the First Bank, Union Bank and Skye Bank, situated on the same street in Ikirun in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state and pronounced the death sentence on them.
The judge said the gun recovered from the convicts during the bank robbery be forfeited to the Nigeria Police, while the money recovered from them be forfeited to Osun Government.
The State Counsel, Mr Biodun Badiora said the offences were contrary to Section 6(b), 1(1) & (2)(a) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, Cap R11 L.F.N, 2004, Section 319 of the Criminal Code Law Cap. 34 Laws of Osun State, 2002, and Section 3 of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, Cap R11 L.F.N, 2004, respectively.
Badiora told the court that the convicts on Feb. 12, 2016 at about 3:30 pm, in a coordinated bank robbery, attacked First Bank, Union Bank and Skye Bank, situated along the same street in Ikirun, simultaneously.
The prosecution counsel said during the robbery, combined team of policemen from Iragbiji police Division, Ikirun police Patrol Team and Special Anti-robbery Squad, responded to distress call and gun duel ensued between the armed robbers and the policemen at the scene.
He said investigations revealed that seven members of armed gang were killed by police at the scene of crime, while some others escaped with gunshots injuries.
He said seven assorted ammunitions including AK-47 gun Israeli and Russian made and N7, 486,300.00 taken from the banks were recovered by the Police.
Badiora said five witnesses were called and 30 exhibits tendered.
Defence counsel Sunday Atofarati and Ajibade Omoyajowo, pleaded with the Judge to temper justice with mercy.
Miss Ifeoma Emmanuel, a 2002 Ikeja Cantonment Bomblast survivor is marking the 18th anniversary of the tragic event which took the lives of many other and she shared photos to mark the day.

If the reports on social media are anything to go by, serving corps members in the National Youth Service Program, have begun receiving the recently approved increment in their monthly allowance, otherwise known as allowee.
This is coming just days after the director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Shuaibu Ibrahim, revealed the monthly allowance of corp members had been increased to N33,000.

The US Embassy in Nigeria took to its twitter handle this afternoon to deny reports of rejecting clergyman, Bishop Oyedepo’s visa application, a news that was initially published by ThisDay.
The embassy via its verified twitter handle, says the report is false.

A man paraded by the Taraba State Police Command has confessed to killing his girlfriend, Imbajuri Ambisi.
The suspect identified as Munda Bala, 31, reportedly conspired with his two friends to kill his girlfriend who they burnt to ashes before burying her in a bush.
Bala who was paraded alongside some ashes and bones of the deceased, blamed the sad act on jealousy and hardship.
His confessional statement below ;
“I fell in love with Imbajuri Ambisi. She became my girlfriend; I got her pregnant and she delivered a baby boy and killed him after seven months.
“This got me angry and I couldn’t tell anyone. My money got finished and she ran away to some wealthy guys who engage in the selling of rosewoods to foreigners.”
“This got me jealous and I met two of my friends who advised me that if I really want my heart to be at rest, I have to kill her, hence our decision to eliminate her.”
Taraba State Police Spokesperson, David Misal said a manhunt has already been launched to arrest the other fleeing suspects.
Three Nigerian stowaways have landed in Ghana against their expectation to land in Madrid, Spain.
According to reports, the three men identified as Isaac Daniel, 32, Stephen Nuta, 28 and Kelvin Popoola, 26, sneaked into an MV Unity vessel from Apapa Port in Lagos, thinking it was heading to Spain.
The ship rather landed in Tema Port, Ghana. Officers at the Tema Port have identified 32-year-old Isaac as a serial stowaway as this is not his first time for being arrested for such.
Eleven (11) suspected fraudsters have been arrested by Men of the Enugu Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, January 30th 2020.
One of the fraudster, a female, was arrested at Airport View Estate, Thinkers Corner, Enugu.
The arrest, which was the first by the zone in the new year, followed several intelligence report on the ostentatious lifestyles of the suspects.
According to reports, EFCC operatives, with duly signed search warrant, raided about four building within the same vicinity where they recovered several mobile phones, lap tops, computers, several MTN Sim packs, a Toyota Venza, Mercedes C350, two Lexus Jeeps, one GLK 350 Benz, two ES350 Lexus, a Mustang 455FA car and other incriminating items.
Further analysis is being carried out on items recovered from them and on their persons.
The EFCC in its statement said the suspects will all be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

American rapper and member of MIGOS, Offset has reportedly been charged with felony gun possession.
According to reports by TMZ Georgia prosecutors have officially filed three charges against Offset. According to the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office, two of these charges are misdemeanor offenses for marijuana possession and a traffic violation. While this seems minuscule, it is the felony charge of firearm possession by a convicted felon that poses the biggest threat to Offset’s freedom.
These charges stem from an arrest that took place in July of 2018. While driving through an Atlanta suburb, Offset was pulled over for various traffic violations. At first, it was said that the tint on his luxury sports car was darker than the state’s legal limit, but now authorities claim he was flagged down for an improper lane change. During the traffic stop, police found three loaded weapon in the vehicle. Due to Offset’s criminal history, he was arrested immediately. Initially, Offset was charged with four infractions but he was able to get the felony possession of a weapon during a crime dropped resulting in the three counts he’s currently fighting.
According to Offset’s lawyer Drew Findling, his client didn’t break any laws leading to the traffic stop. Findling believes Offset was specifically targeted because of his race and status, making the state’s case unjustified.
“It’s a common theme. We’re talking about a young, African American man driving a shiny, beautiful luxury car and clad in designer clothes and watches and jewelry. Unfortunately, people in his genre become a target for law enforcement who think that lifestyle is connected to some illegal activity … and that is a sad statement,” Findling told TMZ before insisting his client was not in possession a firearm.
Four years ago, January 30, 2016, popular Danish Humanitatian aid worker Anja Ringgren Lovén was photographed giving water to a severely malnourished 2-year-old boy, who she rescued after he was branded a witch by his family and left to starve to death in Akwa Ibom.
The child was left on the streets for months when Anja got a phone call and immediately led a rescue team including her husband David Emmanuel Umem, to bring the child to the Children’s Education and Development Foundation (ACAEDF) aka “Land of Hope” named after the boy.
Yesterday, Thursday, January 30, 2020, Anja posted new photos of Hope to mark the anniversary.

A building in Ketu Lagos was engulfed in flames as two (2) children got rescued.
The building, located at Ile-Ile bus stop, opposite Delta Crown in Ketu Lagos State had a huge crowd gathered in front of it as they helplessly looked at the house getting burnt.
In a footage from the scene, spectators can be heard talking about a gas explosion which was caused by one of the children who switched on the gas.
Two children were trapped in the burning apartment but they were eventually rescued and were rushed to a hospital for treatment.

A Ghanaian lady popularly known as “Hajia Pvssy or Queen of D1cks,” has been found dead after her friends went in search of her.
According to reports online, the Ghanaian lady who is popular on Snapchat for her flashy lifestyle, was used for rituals by suspected internet fraudsters. The lady who believed she was used for rituals by one of her clients, visited spiritualists for help after hospitals she visited could not help. She was however found dead in her room on January 26.
Friends close to the deceased, alleged that she had been crying over a severe headache since December 2019.
Friends of the deceased have already taken to social media to pen down tributes to her.
A young Nigerian man identified as Alex has met his untimely death after he was administered a wrong injection by an alleged unqualified Doctor.
According to reports, the deceased who was a student at Federal University,Gombe had a minor tooth-ache and thus went to the hospital to get it checked.
He was injected and even after that, still felt the ache, he then went back to the hospital and was left unattended till he reportedly gave up the ghost.
The doctor who administered the ‘fatal’ injection is currently on the run.

President Buhari’s predecessor, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan this afternoon, arrived the Presidential villa for a closed door meeting with the commander-in-chief.
The purpose of the meeting is not yet known.
After the brief meeting which was held behind closed doors, President Buhari saw Jonathan off at the forecourt of the State House.
The last time former president Jonathan visited the villa was in October 2019 when he met with President Buhari also behind closed doors.
A Nigerian mother has been criticized on social media after photos showing the injury she inflicted on her little son by pouring hot water on him for spending her money on biscuits without her permission, surfaced online.

A lawmaker representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada federal constituency of Kano state in the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Daguwa has revealed that he has 27 children and still counting.
Daguwa who disclosed this while being sworn in at the house plenary session on Wednesday January 29, also showed off his 4 wives he came to the chamber with.
Daguwa said;
“Mr. Speaker, I would like to let you know that with me today here, are my four respected wives.
“Mr Speaker, these four wives you have seen have produced 27 kids for me, and I am still counting. I am still counting.”
Commenting on the disclosure, the House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila jokingly said “the more, the merrier”.
Gbajabiamila said;
“I must bring to the knowledge of this house a little anecdote, what you told me, sometime ago. You told me, don’t beg me, you told me it was getting late around 7 o’clock, and there were many children playing in front of your house in Kano.
“You got worried and you went out, you told the children, “common, what are you still doing outside by this time of the day. You people should go to your homes.

Ifeanyi Ezeokeke shot to limelight after his role in Conspiracy 1 & 2. The role earned him the nickname “Ugo Shave Me.”
Sadly, the actor is now down with an unnamed ailment.

A Nigerian man has been tagged a pedophile after he was caught begging to be introduced to a 14-year-old female student.
A teacher on Twitter put up a post where his students were wishing him a happy birthday and the man reached out to the teacher begging to be introduced to one of the students.
When he was told that the girl is only 14, he didn’t back down. Instead, he said he can’t stop thinking about her.
