In spite of the backlash, Rosy took to Instagram to share more photos of herself cozying up to Churchill at his birthday dinner. She also coordinated outfits with him.
A heartbroken Nigerian-British woman, Olubunmi Diya whose two children and husband drowned at a Costa Del Sol hotel in Spain has opened up saying they all knew how to swim.
She said she believes ‘something was wrong with the pool’.
In a statement, she said: ‘The whole family, all five of us went to the pool together and were all present when the incident occurred.
‘The children were not left unattended. We followed the instructions displayed by the poolside at all times. Our family are utterly heartbroken by the events last Tuesday, but we are comforted and strengthened by our strong faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
‘We are deeply shocked, saddened and struggling to come to terms with their passing. They all brought a joy and love to the world and to everyone that crossed their path.
‘We love them all dearly, will always remember them in our hearts and miss them greatly.’
Nine year-old Comfort was the one dragged who dragged the two others into the pool, after she began to struggle in the water. According to reports, she slipped and was unable to regain her footing, she began to drift towards the deep end of the six-and-a-half feet pool at holiday resort Club La Costa World near Fuengirola at 2pm.
Praise-Emmanuel, 16, jumped into the pool followed by their father Gabriel after hearing the screams of their 14-year-old daughter Favour, who had been playing with Comfort moments beforehand.
It was initially reported that the trio, who lived in Charlton, south east London, did not know how to swim properly, but the mother told Sky News on Friday, December 27th that something must have been ‘wrong with the pool that made swimming difficult’ because her husband and children all knew how to swim.
Mrs Diya’s comments contradicted earlier reports quoting her surviving daughter, Favour, who claimed the family didn’t know how to swim. Autopsy reports meanwhile said the three family members died by drowning.

Popular Nigerian singer, Wizkid has reacted to the report of police sergeant shooting a fan dead in Lagos.
Reports and videos on Friday morning emerged on social media of a boy allegedly shot by operatives of Nigerian police after ‘Starboyfest’ which held at Eko Atlantic center.

The police Identified as Sergeant Lukmon Akanbi was said to have shot and killed Mr Ramon Babatunde Ramon who was coming from Wizkid’s show.
The incident happened on 27/12/2019 at about 0420 around Eko Atlantic Victoria Island, Lagos.
It was learnt that the incident happened during a fracas between the Police Officer who was on patrol in the area and the victim who was returning from an event.
Wizkid, reacting to the news condemned the alleged act of the Nigeria police. The ‘Joro’ crooner expressed sadness over the incident even as he vowed to seek justice.
On his Twitter page, Wizkid wrote: ‘Nigeria police! Protect us! Not kill us! I’m so so sorry guys. I’m so broken right now. I wouldn’t stop until we get justice.”

A Catholic priest has responded to the MFM general overseer, Daniel Olukoya, after the latter said Christmas is “unbiblical”.
Olukoya said the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) does not participate in the celebration of Christmas because no book in the bible recorded the word “Christmas” or that Jesus was born on December 25.
He added that December 25 is a date originally set aside by the ancient Romans for the Mars festival by the worshippers of the sun. Olukoya said the birth of Christ was subsequently co-opted into the same date to give the Mars festival more popularity and then renamed “Christmas”.
He warned modern Christians to stop promoting such an “unbiblical” celebration.
Responding to Olukoya, Catholic priest, Reverend Father Chinenye Oluoma, explained why Christians all over the world celebrate Jesus on the 25th of December.
In a Facebook post titled Where Is It In The Bible?, the priest explained that there are many practices in Christianity which were not recorded in the Bible.
Oluoma stated that there are many other festivities such as Mother’s Day, cross over vigils, etc. that Christians engage in but are not in the Bible. He added that the scripture is not against their celebration.
Oluoma said: “Easter as a term is not in the Bible but we celebrate easter because it’s an event and a mystery recorded in scripture. Same with Christmas, it’s not the term or calendar date we celebrate but the event and mystery,”
Oluoma also mentioned that there are many things Christians do that are not in the Bible and “God isn’t angry at all”. He added that such practices as December 31st cross over vigil, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries are also not in the Bible.
Nollywood actor, Ben Blessing has narrated how he was extorted by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, F-SARS.
Ben Blessing revealed on Instagram that the men extorted 55k from him after dragging him like a criminal.

A brave father has told of the terrifying moment he saved his four-year-old son from a 15ft scrub python by killing it with a sledgehammer.
Evan Thompson rescued his son Clifford after the beast struck during their housewarming in Airlie Beach, north Queensland last weekend.
Mr Thompson saw the snake with its jaws locked around his son as it tried to drag the terrified youngster away.
Recalling the ordeal on Sunrise on Monday morning, he said: ‘Clifford was holding onto the side of the boardwalk and it was pulling him, literally, pulling him under.
‘I ran straight up and punched it at that stage and it let go.
‘But as soon as I let go, it curled right back up and bit him again. So I grabbed it, pretty much, as hard as I could and just bent it back to get it off him out.
He added: ‘That thing wasn’t going it wanted to eat my child.’
Mr Thompson told how he then resorted to punching the snake in the head.
He said: ‘I punched it in his head and it let go, but within a second or two, it bit him again on the upper right leg, a bit higher than where it got him initially, and it started pulling him off the boardwalk into the bush where it properly would have liked to wrap him up.
‘At that stage, it was dragging him backwards and I could see what happened to his leg and it was starting to open him up, and then I knew it just wasn’t going to let go, it was too strong, and that’s when I grabbed it and grabbed its jaw and try to pry open as hard as I could.’
Mr Thompson said his son managed to get away but the beast came back and tried to grab him again.
He said: ‘Luckily he got his leg out and he ran up to the gate on the boardwalk trying to get away, and that was great, but as the snake fell back down in the garden, it just slivered straight back on this side and tried to get at him.’
He previously told Daily Mail Australia that when the snake still tried to go after his son he grabbed it by the tail and yelled for someone to get weapon.
‘My mate and my wife went to the toolshed and found a sledgehammer and my mate hit it,’ he said.
‘If it had let go of my son when I first punched it I might have let it go but it was so aggressive I couldn’t go to work with this thing crawling around my house.’
‘I’ve dealt with snakes before but nothing like this it would have been 15 foot.’
‘I have a three-year-old daughter as well, we’re just glad it didn’t grab her.’
The ordeal lasted about five minutes and his son’s leg had a large tear and smaller marks where the snake bit him.
He said he put a compression bandage on Clifford’s wounds and called an Ambulance which rushed him to Proserpine Hospital and then onto Mackay.
Surgery was done on Friday morning to clean up and stitch the wound and Clifford is now on antibiotics and expected to recover.

BBC Africa Journalist, Kiki Mordi, has said it is a shame that same sex marriage is still illegal in Nigeria.
In 2014, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, signed the anti-same sex bill into law, banning all forms of gay associations or marriage. The law places a 14-year jail term for any offender.
Taking to her Twitter page, Kiki who came to limelight following her Sex for Grades documentary released a few months ago stated that Nigeria is on the wrong side of history for banning same-sex marriages.
“It’s almost 2020 & same sex marriage is still illegal in Nigeria. Like two people (of the same sex) can love themselves and want to build a family for themselves just like you & I but can’t because it’s illegal for them,” she said.
“A damn shame! We’re already on the wrong side of history,” she added.
Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has appealed to Nigerians across the country to give birth to only children they can cater for.
The Kano Monarch who spoke at the opening of the 108th edition of Islamic Vocation Course (IVC) organized by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Zone B, stated that the Almajiri menace that has plagued the northern region of Nigeria is not a religious issue but a social issue that needs urgent attention.
Sanusi also implored male Muslim faithfuls to only marry the number of women they can take care of as there is need to educate every child especially the out-of-school children.
He said;
“If we continued this way, about 40 per cent extremely poor people will be in Nigeria. Poverty in the South West is 20 percent, in the North, it is 80 percent, Lagos is 8 per cent and Zamfara, it is 91 per cent.
“We have been talking about Almajiri for over 30 years. Why are people having families they cannot maintain? Why are people marrying wives that they cannot maintain? The condition is that you are able to provide for your family.
“Instead of having many children, why not have the ones you can cater for? These are the fundamental questions we should ask ourselves. Most of these children roaming about the streets will be adult in the next twenty years and they will be the ones recruited as political thugs by the politicians in the next twenty years, if we don’t take good care of them now. This is my own advice that we must look at. These are not religious issues, they are social issues that need to be addressed”.
A fatal motor accident which reportedly occurred on Wednesday December 25, claimed the lives of a man, his wife and three kids.
The Man identified as Samson Adetunji was travelling for the Christmas holiday with his wife, Opeyemi, their two sons and daughter when the tragic incident occurred. Eyewitnesses alleged that the family of five were burnt beyond recognition after their vehicle caught fire after crashing into an overhead bridge along Kubway way in Abuja.

Bollywood actor Kushal Punjabi, 37 has been found dead at his residence.
According to local media reports, his body was found hanging in his Mumbai home, India on the night of Thursday, December 26th. He was last seen in Ishq Mein Marjawan.
His colleague, Karanvir Bohra shared the news of his demise on social media saying;

Popular Nigerian Gospel Singer, Yinka Ayefele has shared a video of his adorable triplets wearing matching Christmas themed outfits.
Ayefele welcomed his two boys and a girl with his wife after 22 years of marriage.
