Leo Da Silva prays for Bambam and TeddyA

Big Brother Naija 2018 star, Leo Da Silva, recently took to his social media to pray for popular couple, Teddy A and BamBam.

Leo’s prayer was necessary after an innocent tweet suggested a deeper meaning/consequence because BamTeddy were likened to Romeo and Juliet.

It is worthy of note to remember that Romeo and Juliet, although a love story, was a tragic one that ended in tears… sorry death.

Here’s the tweet that motivated the prayer ;

Leo didn’t hesitate to rebuke the tweet.. he wrote ;

I reject it for them in Jesus name. They will not die but live to declare the praises of our Lord Jesus Christ in the land of the living.

Gabrielle Union reportedly fired from ‘America’s Got Talent’ for speaking out against Racism, Sexism and more

Hollywood actress, Gabrielle Union-Wade has reportedly been fired from reality tv show, ‘America’s Got Talent.’

According to reports from LoveBScott, the 47-year-old actress who used to be a judge on the show was dismissed for speaking up about ‘problematic’ situations, including racism, sexism, and many more.

Gabrielle Union reportedly fired

NBC sources told lovebscott.com that,

“[Gabrielle’s] contract was not renewed after being the #1 talent on the show, NBC and network TV. She set the record for her Golden Buzzer. They only replace the women and blacks at Simon’s whim. She wouldn’t walk away from $12 million because she’s ‘busy.’ Based on weekly interactions on social media, by the time AGT finale aired Gabrielle was the #1 talent on network TV for 2019. Why not pick up someone’s option in extreme success?”

The report also claimed that Gabrielle Union was fired from the program alongside her fellow Judge Julianne Hough.

The NBC sources continued,

“Social media engagement is the new measuring stick for talent and Simon isn’t on social media. Juliane and Gabrielle were both way higher ranked/engaged than Howie. The idea the network wants to ‘switch things up’ only applies to women and Black folks.

The NBC insiders added that Gabrielle’s firing is merely a continuation of their problematic tendencies.

“Let’s just say they didn’t start the racism, homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia etc. in season 14. They were quite comfortable with it all by the time Gabrielle got there. Remember Nick said ‘NBC stands for N*gga Be Careful.’”

This comes two years after Nick Cannon took to Facebook to announce that he was ‘threatened with termination by executives’ after he made a racial joke about NBC on his Showtime stand-up special. He later quit his job as host of ‘America’s Got talent,’ saying “My soul won’t allow me to be in business with corporations that attempt to frown on freedom of speech, censor artists, and question cultural choices.”

“An Open Letter To All Yahoo Boys”, By Paulgeek

Letter By Paul Geek.

You don’t have to be a YahooGuy to make money online. Apart from the fact that illegal wealth isn’t sustainable, illegal businesses are very addictive. You also lose your creative mind. There are 1001 legitimate businesses you could do online & earn a decent income!

You can make livings and meet ends without defrauding anyone or mailing foreigners to send you dollars in the name of 419. Admittedly, most advertised Internet businesses aren’t as profitable as we’re made to believe. However, a lot of them pay.

The biggest challenge with newbies is that they are over expectant and over ambitious, so the moment their expectations aren’t met as hurriedly as expected, they give up & join the millions who say Internet businesses don’t pay. Nothing good comes cheap!

It troubles me a lot seeing millions of our youths wasting precious time debating bitter politics, religion, tribal issues, etc, when such time could be used productively; for people with unemployment challenge. We need to have a sober reflection as youth.

The easiest & fastest skills/profession anyone could learn today are digital skills. With digital skills, your chances of getting a decent job increases by over 50% at the global labour market & you could work from the comfort of your home in Ajegunle, for a client/firm in Canada.

There are hundreds of thousands of Indians who earn a living from the comfort of their homes. They have no govt or corporate job. In fact, a lot of them don’t even have degrees. They only need to learn basic English & they’re good to go. I have hired hundreds of them, too.

We must kill this sense of entitlement we have held for long now. The sense of entitlement that because we are graduates or hold certain qualifications, the govt or our relatives owe us decent jobs & better lives. This may have been the case some 50yrs ago. Not in 2019, my brother!

We are now in an era where what you know (skills) beyond your conventional educational qualifications, is as or even more important than your educational qualifications, and the earlier we accept this reality, the better for us, especially as young people.

Nevertheless, govts at all levels must also be interested in championing this new direction of thinking as a means of solving youth restiveness & unemployment. This could be done through institutional framework restructuring, designing policies policies that will transform our economy into a digital economy and human-capital development. These have proven to create more jobs in the developing nations. Check Rwanda if I lie.

To achieve this, our leaders, especially political leaders, must first realise that they lack basic understanding of the digital world, then make efforts to learn & understand it; because you only give what you have & you cannot promote what you don’t believe. The time is NOW!

More Nigerian youths have access to the internet than Indians youths, but more Indian earn a living online than Nigerians. The difference? They are taught digital skills from primary school, while an average Nigerian attends his first computer training after graduation. What do they teach them? You already know.

The digital industry can employ more than most govt establishments, if govts could create the enabling environment. It would create more jobs & reduce the burden of employments from govt, as serious govts have little to do with direct job creation. They rather serve as ‘enablers’.

Fellas, the time is NOW to birth a new generation of radical thinkers. Are you ready?

OAP Dotun replies a troll who questioned his source of income after he acquired a new house.

OAP Dotun replies

Popular media personality, Dotun, recently joined the league of Lagos landlords and in the mood of celebration, he shared a photo of his newly acquired house on his Instagram page.

“No be your OAP work give you this house though”, the troll wrote.

Taking notice of the negative comment, Dotun replied ;

“@matino__ It was the work I put into that thing you think didn’t give me this for years that had lifted me above people like you who still live around your backwardness.. Hustle o! so you won’t be in the comment section of a believer and hard worker growing. Don’t be the reason why your family can’t look up to anyone cos you are a disappointment.”

Nigerian doctor becomes a home owner three years after moving to UK

A Popular Nigerian doctor on twitter has taken to the micro-blogging platform to share photos of the new house he bought in the UK three years after relocating from Nigeria.

According to the doctor, the house he bought is a 4-bedroom apartment which also has a garden. He further disclosed that he was able to buy the house by imbibing a culture of saving £500-1000 every month from his earnings for about 3 years.

Read his post below ;

“2019, God gave me a house. Not rented. My own home. 4bedroom. With a garden. In England. For a boy that only came to UK with 2travelling bags in 2016, I’m in tears. My prayer for everyone that follows me or sees this is that God will grant all your heart’s greatest desires ??”.

And all this happened since September 2019. But I’ve had a few things going on in my life to sort and a major exam in October also- which I just passed last week.

I pray that this goodnews encourages someone to not give up and keep trying. Your dreams are valid.

Controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo appears not to have a stop button when it comes to criticizing reality star, Tacha.

In the past few days, the Ms. Kemi has constantly criticised the reality star.

In a new social media post, Olunloyo expressed that Ciroc made a wrong PR decision to partner Tacha.

According to the journalist, the fact that the reality star was disqualified shows she is not worthy to compete with the winner, Mercy for endorsement deals.

Her post reads:

SUNDAY THOUGHTS

Mercy was afterall the rightful winner of #bbnaija2019, there should not be a need to compete in endorsement deals or what not. Tacha was not even evicted but DISQUALIFIED. If I ran the marketing department @cirocvodka I would never have them both in the paid partnership. It constitutes a PR disaster. Good luck to Tacha on her endeavours. I will NOT leave her alone. I’m a Journalist and will report about anything of interest I need to. As for the over 50 years she said I couldn’t achieve as much as her at 23yo, at your age my salary was $70,000 a year as a 22yo Pharmacist. You are living my past Tacha. Today I’m retired with three First class degrees, 30 Pharmacy, 23 PR 25 Journalism and still have firm breasts. Kill your pride and you can change that disqualification into a QUALIFICATION.
Congrats @official_mercyeke

Alleged $44.9m fraud: EFCC sets up special panel to investigate Air Peace boss Onyema

Nigerian anti-graft agency, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has set up a special panel charged with investigating the $44.9 million wire fraud and money laundering case against Air Peace Chief Executive, Allen Onyema.

An EFCC source who spoke with The Nation, said the probe is to amongst other things, determine if Onyema is fronting for some politically exposed persons in the country.

“Upon the receipt of the charges, the EFCC chairman raised a team to probe the allegations against Onyema Eghagha, who were prominently mentioned in the indictment charges by the United States Government. The EFCC team is working on what I may term the ‘Nigerian components’ of the indictment including suspicious huge transfer of funds abroad, alleged abuse of letters of credit and money laundering.

“In fact, the Acting EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu directed the team members to work round the clock at the weekend because it is a case we must work on with speed. We are also interested in the roles played by two banks in the country including one that has been on our radar for a while for money laundering. This same bank was implicated in the $115million poll bribery scam in 2015 for which former Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Alison-Madueke is wanted for trial.

“We need to act because in the indictment, the US indicated its plans to freeze some funds linked with Onyema in some accounts within and outside its jurisdiction. It is standard practice to have collaboration with sister organisations all over the world. We cannot wait till the last minutes before playing our roles.”

The US Department of Justice have accused Onyema alongside his airlines Chief of Administration and Finance, Ejiroghene Eghagha, of “moving more than $20 million from Nigeria through some United States banks in a scheme involving false documents based on the purchase of airplanes.”

The US government In the charges against Onyema and Eghagha, accused them of using the money laundered to buy luxury cars, including a Rolls Royce for $180,000 and Mercedes for $88, 500 among others.

Onyema was also said to have spent thousands of dollars on personal purchases at Atlanta Georgia locations of Prada, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Louis Vuitton, the Apple Store and various airlines.

“I don’t want to end up marrying old man like Regina Daniels” – Actress Princess Nnenna Orji

Nollywood actress, Princess Nnenna Orji has assured her fans that she will never marry an older man like her colleague, Regina Daniels.

“No! I would not marry an older man like Regina Daniels. I can’t go that far. Regina Daniels did what she did for reasons best known to her. That’s what she wanted for herself and I respect her decision so much, but I wouldn’t do that, I’m an understanding person. What I desire in a man is different. First of all, I desire a God fearing man. I need someone that will understand me and go along with me, not someone that will ask me to dump my career. I’m not looking for a wealthy man; he should just be comfortable enough to take care of my children and me. But he must be richer than me.”

In the interview, she also addressed the rumours that Somadina Adinma started dating her because his then girlfriend, Regina Daniels dumped him.

She said: “Somadina and I are very close friends, we went to the same school and we’ve both been acting since we were very young. I cannot say it’s true, I cannot say it’s not true. My answer is I’m in a relationship; I’m not in a relationship. That’s the best way to answer the question because if you say you are in a relationship, they start asking who the person is. Let me leave people to their opinion until they see anything.”

Air Peace boss, Allen Onyema also wanted in Canada over alleged multi-million dollar fraud

The Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema has been declared wanted in Canada after being indicted over an alleged bank fraud and money laundering in the United States.

Though Allen Onyema and Air Peace’s head of finance and administration Ejiroghene Eghagha have vehemently denied the allegation against them, a US court have issued their warrant of arrest.

It was further gathered that a corresponding warrant of arrest for Allen Onyema and Eghagha was issued in Canada by Russell Vineyard, a magistrate at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on September 5. They are to be taken into custody if sighted within the jurisdiction of the Canadian law enforcement authorities.

Documents revealed that American authorities have also reportedly briefed their Canadian counterparts about their case against the two Nigerians whose bank accounts used for the alleged suspicious transaction in the United States were domiciled in Canada.
