Allen Onyema denies US fraud allegations, says all money transferred went through CBN

AirPeace CEO Allen Onyema, has denied all fraud allegations by the USAZ, stating that they are false and are in no way in line with his character as a person and as a business man whose only aim has been to build Nigeria and improve wellbeing.

“As the press statement clearly stated, these are indictment that only contains charges. I am innocent of all charges and the US government will find no dirt on me because I have never conducted business with any illegalities.

“Be rest assured that I also have my lawyers on this and these mere allegations will be refuted. I never laundered money in my life, neither have I committed bank fraud anywhere in the world. Every Kobo I transferred to the US for aircraft purchase went through the Central Bank of Nigeria LC regime and all were used for the same purpose.

“The American companies that received the funds are still in business. I never took a penny from any US bank or Nigerian bank. I am willing to defend my innocence in the US courts,” Onyema stated.

The US Attorneys office in Georgia had alleged that the Chairman, CEO, and founder of Air Peace, a Nigerian airline, has been involved with bank fraud and money laundering for moving more than $20 million from Nigeria through United States bank accounts in a scheme allegedly involving false documents based on the purchase of airplanes.

I won’t make the mistake of attempting a third term – President Buhari

President Buhari

Nigerian president, Muhamadu Buhari has dismissed rumors that he might be seeking a third term.

President Buhari dismissed the rumors when he spoke at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja yester November 22nd, President Buhari said he will respect the Constitution which allows for only 2 terms.

”I’m not going to make the mistake of attempting a third term. Beside the age, I swore by the holy book that I would go by the constitution and the constitution said two terms. I know that I’m in my last term and I can afford to be reckless because I’m not going to ask for anybody’s vote.

I want you to read the constitution. I made sure that when the constitution says the election as we did it the last time will start in 18 months’ time or 20 months’ time. It is going to be done.

Anybody who fails to maintain the respect of his constituents and is thrown out, it’s his problem. Like the chairman has said, all those who left us to the upper house, none of them were voted by his constituents. You want to take our people for granted but they know what they are doing” he said

Woman Gives Birth To Quintuplets After 16 Years Of Childlessness

It is the joy of every woman to be called a mother after marriage. for many that expectant joy could become instantly traumatic when the fruit of the womb isn’t forthcoming after years of marriage.

For 44-year-old Mrs Susan Egenti, her joy knew no bounds when she delivered quintuplets after 16 years of marriage. She was delivered of the babies at the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja.

Mrs Susan Egenti an indigene of Nando, in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State was delivered through a caesarean section on November 6, 2019. The quintuplets three boys and two girls were still in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital when our reporters visited on Thursday afternoon, though the nurses looking after them said they were hale and hearty.

They stated that four of the babies were born healthy, measuring the average weight of a newborn, except one who was underweight and was weighed 1.9 Kg. Speaking to Daily Trust on Saturday on her hospital bed, Mrs Egenti said within her 16 years of marriage, she had taken all medical options (except IVF) to get a baby but to no avail until she had the quintuplets.

She said she resorted to traditional/herbal remedies to conceive a child but that was also futile, leaving her in perpetual despair. She described the birth of her babies as an enormous blessing from God as it was her first and only pregnancy since she got married in 2003. “I have been married since 2003 with no children, not even to get pregnant and have a miscarriage. Every time we attend a child dedication either in our church or elsewhere, I always come home crying, praying for the day God will have mercy on me and grant me the fruit of the womb.” She narrated that the birth of the babies almost took her life as she underwent two different operations, after the delivery, to stop the internal bleeding she suffered.

She stressed that the last operation one left her in a coma for about five days. Mrs Susan who lives with her husband in a room self-contained apartment in Utako village says she sells plastic containers while her husband manages a small chemist at Jabi park.

According to her, she has spent all her meagre resources on medical expenses and as such, they are left with nothing to cater for the five children, calling on Government and philanthropic Nigerians to assist them.

Her husband, Mr Emmanuel Nnamdi Egenti, who also spoke to our reporters at his one-bedroom accommodation in Utako village, an urban slum in the heart of Utako District, expressed joy over the birth of his quintuplets, saying even during their years of childlessness, they had never given up, but rather, put their hope in God, as there was nothing he could do.

However, he said they were yet to pay for the hospital bills even though the babies have been discharged but their mother is very ill and can’t even stand on her feet. He prays for the government’s intervention to enable then take care of the babies, adding that they would not be having any more babies in the future.

“We are grateful to God for what he has done for us. He has proven that He is the one and only true God, who answers prayers of those who call on Him,” he said, stressing that the because they were poor, the prospect of looking after the children in terms of feeding, clothing, education and healthcare was so bleak that their joy at having the babies was almost, immediately, turning into despair and despondency.

Dr. Tochukwu Nwoye, the medical doctor who led a team of doctors that carried out the operation, was not on seat when our reporters visited the hospital. The new mother of five who couldn’t hide her despair on how to foot the bills and subsequently take care of her new bundle of joy was kept in a semi-private ward away from her babies as she was still recuperating from the operations.

US charges Air Peace CEO, Allen Onyema with bank fraud and money laundering

Allen Onyema, 56, the founder of Air Peace, has been charged with bank fraud and money laundering for moving more than $20 million from Nigeria through U.S bank accounts in a scheme involving false documents based on the purchase of airplanes.

Air Peace’s Chief of Administration and Finance, Ejiroghene Eghagha, 37, has also been charged with bank fraud and committing aggravated identity theft in connection with the scheme.

“Onyema allegedly leveraged his status as a prominent business leader and setup various innocent sounding multi-million dollar asset purchases which were nothing more than alleged fronts for his scam,” said acting Special Agent in Charge Robert Hammer.

According to U.S. Attorney Pak, the indictment, and other information presented in court: Beginning in 2010, Onyema began travelling frequently to Atlanta, where he opened several personal and business bank accounts.

Between 2010 and 2018, over $44.9 million was allegedly transferred into his Atlanta-based accounts from foreign sources. In years following the founding of Air Peace, he traveled to the United States and purchased multiple airplanes for the airline.

Beginning in approximately May 2016, Onyema, together with Eghagha, allegedly used a series of export letters of credit to cause banks to transfer more than $20 million into Atlanta-based bank accounts controlled by Onyema.

The letters of credit were purportedly to fund the purchase of five separate Boeing 737 passenger planes by Air Peace. However, the supporting documents were fake.

After Onyema received the money, he allegedly laundered over $16 million of the proceeds of the fraud by transferring it to other accounts.

Onyema and Eghagha were indicted on November 19, 2019, on one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, three counts of bank fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit credit application fraud, and three counts of credit application fraud.

Additionally, Onyema was charged with 27 counts of money laundering, and Eghagha was charged with one count of aggravated identity theft.”

“God Kept On Calling Me But I Was Distracted By The Devil” – Kanye West

American rapper, Kanye West has revealed that God has been calling him for years but he was distracted by the Devil.

The rapper made this known while speaking about his “spiritual awakening” alongside Joel Osteen, an American televangelist, during a performance in the pastor’s church.

He revealed that God was there for him at his lowest moments and that the devil stole the best producers, artists, designers but with Jesus at his back, things are going to change.

In his words, “I know that God has been calling me for a long time and the devil has been distracting me for a long time. When I was in my lowest points, God was there with me, sending me visions and inspiring me. I remember sitting in the hospital at UCLA after having a mental breakdown,” he said.

“I was drawing a church and writing ‘start a church in the middle of Calabasas’.Even after that I made the Life of Pablo album and said this is a gospel album. I didn’t know how to totally make a gospel album. Christians that were around were too beaten into submission by society to not profess the gospel to me because I was a superstar.

“But the only superstar is Jesus. All of that arrogance and confidence and cockiness that y’all seen me use before God is now using for him. Because every time I stand up, I feel that I’m standing up and drawing a line in the sand and saying I’m here in service to God and no weapons armed against me shall prosper.” “

It’s like the devil stole all the good producers, all the good musicians, all the good artists, all the good designers, all the good business people and said, ‘you gotta come over and work for me.’ And now the trend is going to change. Jesus has won the victory. Now the greatest artist God ever created is now working for him.”

Tacha slams

Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has revealed the message, Natacha Akide a.k.a Tacha, sent to her with a fake Instagram account.

The message reads;

“All you couldn’t achieve for over 50years on Earth, Tacha has achieved it at just 23, so yes, you need to be mad. Ex convict you need therapy. I care about you Mrs ex convict that’s why I’m telling you. You are so jobless with no shame at all”.

“Tacha sent me this with a FAKE ACCOUNT. Her location was turned on so I was able by to track her SIM. Same way Instagram tracked the newstip that sent me to prison from Iyabo’s NGO phone by an estranged PA.

Remember IG is a phone app?. Tacha has BLOCKED ME on Instagram and Twitter on orders of her manager @teebillz323. I’m really crying ?my eyes out now that I can’t comment on her post.?? The fact remains that Industry people are waiting for her to FAIL woefully with Tunji.

I never wish bad luck on anyone but sources inside Akide’s camp said they did not like how I was skooling her up and down about drunk driving, endorsement versus partnership advert yesterday. Tunji is not enlightened on these things and it’s making her look bad.

I don’t manage people but I’m a terrific Publicist with a US/CDN reputation. I have worked alongside record labels and management for big Celebrities. Tacha, look at what I said about bread girl Jumoke in 2014 and what happened to her management after, even her marriage. She had to leave and get a new team. Know how you are being represented.

You are not making money, you should be! People around you are making YOUR money. Why haven’t I seen you on a single TV appearance or MSM??? Managers are not Publicists. I have my own clients and one thing you need to know is that you need good media relations. You are packed full of ideas and more that opening your front door in a nightgown to receive a liquor brand is not the end of the world.

Look how long it took Tunji to unravel your partnership with Ciroc. Look at Mercy’s video produced by Elo in a bar scene. Alcohol delivered to your door in a nightie versus Classy Mercy walking into a bar. I love you both. Only interested in taking you both International. Nigerian Women can take over the world. Your media rounds should have started the moment you were Disqualified.

I’m not trying to bring Tunji down as I have given you both useful PR tips worth $2M even priceless. Go ask Naira Marley’s team on how you they got FREE PR tips from me. See him everywhere now. Finally clear your TOXIC fans and tell them love speaks love leads.”

The media personality advised the fans to stop putting pressure on their favorite housemates.

In her post, Toke Makinwa stated that the fans are doing more harm than good by putting the reality stars against each other because it will cause depression.

Read her post below ;

“Been so long since I aired my thoughts on social issues cos I’m busy building my empire but you BBrotherNaija fans really need to stop tripping and putting so much pressure on your favourite housemates.

You guys are causing more harm than good, stop putting them against each other, the show is over let them focus on building their lives, this type of constant competition causes depression, just quit already, You can support your favourite housemate outside the house without fighting and insulting yourselves or other housemates, get your own lives on and leave them to fight this new phase, we are all tired.

The industry is hard as it is, they are not yet even in the industry, all the noise does not bring success, it doesn;t help anyone. Ask the other housemates, some of them had to start from scratch, let people focus and do what they need to do to really succeed.”
