Mike wrote ;

‘Since I’ve left Big Brother House I haven’t really explained what’s been going on and when my fans will get to see me next, so here’s a little update on the situation & my life overall.

I’ve been out of Big Brother’s house 3 weeks now. I’ve stayed in 2 hotels, 1 apartment, and I’l be moving to another location soon. I’m loving every minute of being back on home soil and spending quality time exploring lagos with my beautiful wife, this city is so electric and fulfilling.

I came with a goal to make the most of the opportunity of a lifetime and I’m embracing the uncertainty of it all. I’ve had to figure out how to maneuver in Lagos traffic. I learned that I can’t just walk into a local grocery store or bank because I cause too much attention, plus I hardly ever turn down a selfie with my people ✌?

I’ve had some incredible opportunities present themselves already, and it’s exciting thinking about the plans. Taking a leap of faith into the unknown is daunting, but it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I’m going to keep doing these flash life updates of how I’m transitioning back to Nigeria.

Im also working with my managment @theofficialeme_ and road team on something big for my official meet and greet tour which I’ll be announcing ASAP you know me, I’m all about details so I can deliver the best ☺️
Once again thank you all for being so supportive and understanding with all of this.

P.S It’s crazy to think last year I was a homeless Athlete fighting to represent Nigeria, and now I’m a household name. Gods Plan #ManLikeMike’

“You must not listen to side talks but concentrate on the person you are dealing with.

“Since you have both signed a life contract and it is for better for worse, you must deal with issues together.

“All that, coupled with the special grace of God, have sustained my marriage up till this moment.

Nigerian Border Closure : Ghana traders association shuts shops owned by Nigerians

Members of the members of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) today, closed shops owned by Nigerians in five markets in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region capital.

It was the second time this year the association would shut Nigerian-owned shops, claiming it was waging a war on foreigners doing retail business in the country.

The law bans foreigners from operating taxis, beauty salons, selling medicine, production and sale of sachet water, among others. The markets where Nigerian traders were shut out were in Kejetia, Suame Magazine, Adum and Asafo.

GUTA Public Relations Officer, Albert Mensah Offei, told Joy FM that the action will soon be extended to other parts of the country. However, according to Ghanaweb.com, the action of the association is being interpreted as a retaliation for the closure of the Nigerian land border, which has affected traders in the West African region.

GUTA recently noted that the closure of Nigeria’s trade borders to Benin and other neighbouring countries is an outright breach of ECOWAS treaties. The President of the Association, Joseph Obeng who spoke to Accra-based Joy FM noted that the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the ECOWAS parliament have failed to check Nigeria. He argued that this is enough evidence that all treaties and protocols under ECOWAS being ineffective.

“Nigeria has blatantly flouted ECOWAS protocol if there is even something like that. Surprisingly, the foreign affairs ministry has failed to deal with this issue, nobody is talking to this issue and for two months Ghanaian goods have been locked up in Nigeria. This act by the Nigerian government nullifies the entire ECOWAS Treaty on the free movement of people and goods,” he said.

Deduct tithes straight from workers’ salaries, Archbishop begs govt

The Archbishop of Kampala, Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, has suggested that the government of Uganda deduct tithe from workers’ salaries, a report by Citizen Kenya has reported.

Speaking during a mass, the Catholic Archbishop said many Christians don’t tithe and this affects church projects.

“Whenever we ask for tithe, everyone gives only what they have at that time. But the Bible says a tenth of whatever you earn belongs to the church,” said Archbishop Lwanga.

“Give me your support as I front this proposal because it is good for us. Aren’t you tired of putting money in the baskets all the time?”

Archbishop Lwanga said he wanted Uganda to go the German route, where Germans, who are registered as Catholics, Protestants or Jews have a church tax (Kirchensteuer) of 8-9 per cent deducted from their annual income.

“I was told Germans made agreements with their government to deduct monthly tithe from their salaries and forward it to the church and this money they use to build and renovate their churches,” he added.

Distinction graduate calls out Lagos firm for discriminating against her because of her medical condition.

A Nigerian Lady, some weeks ago, took to her social media page to narrate the ordeal she encountered at a Lagos firm where she went for an interview.

The lady revealed she was walked out of the venue because of her medical condition as she has Neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder of the nervous system. It mainly affects how nerve cells form and grow

Her post reads ;

Hello my beautiful people Please I need you to help me post these because I must be heard. My name is Okhimhe Grace I am a graduate of Auchi Polytechnic Auchi from the department of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) With tears in my eyes i write this. I went for an interview on 23 July at a consulting firm called Kennedia consulting @Kennedia_ng at 14b Kingsley Emu street Lekki, i was waiting along side with others for the interview to kick off. While waiting the security man came to me, told me that he was asked to tell me to hand over my CV and leave the interview venue.

I asked him if I have done something wrong ? I told him that am also here for the interview like others and why am I the only one asked to leave? I did not have any quarrel or misunderstanding with anyone, I told him i want to speak to the person that told him to walk me out of the interview hall without me committing any offense for I was in my best behavior, he refused and said if i don’t’t want to drop my CV it’s my choice but i should leave. I told him I perceive the reason I am being asked to leave but no problem. I handed over my CV to him, when I was about leaving, I heard a man asking the security guy if I dropped my CV, he nodded and said yes.. i told the security guy I know why you asked me to leave , then I left.

I tried has much as possible to control myself with tears coming down my eyes while walking out of the compound filled with people that also came for the interview. I was humiliated and embarrassed On that day, I began to ask myself: What is the need of me going to school and graduating with a first class(distinction) when people out there discriminate and stigmatize people that are physical challenged? I am not physical challenged but people think I am.

I only have what is called NF(#Neurofibromatosis) Its a genetic disorder that causes tumor to grow on the skin. #NF is not contagious or communicable. That you feel someone is physical challenged is not a enough reason to walk them out of an interview, things are not done that way.I am very bitter and frustrated by that day experience. Because I have NF that is not a reason to walk me out of the interview, that not fair.
