Digital Marketing Enthusiast and Blogger Promise Excel has died.

We got wind of the information that the promising young chap died yesterday.

According to information gathered, he had been battling a health challenge for close to a month now, till he gave up the ghost.

Emeka Nobis who paid tribute to him, wrote; “You graced this stage like a Don. We rallied and fought for your health as the curtains were closing. We didn’t fail you, Promise Excel, but I’m lost for words. I’m terribly hurt, man. Good night, my bright star.”

First Runner-up of the Big Brother Naija Reality TV show, Pepper Dem Edition, Mike Edwards made his Nigerian runway debut at the Lagos Fashion Week 2019, for Nigerian designer Ugo Monye.

The reality TV star and athlete was joined on the runway by Teddy A who also modeled for Ugo Monye.

This is coming after his wife and his ‘best-friend’, Ike Onyema walked the run-away just two days ago.

This of course proves how influential they are, and their fans could be seen applauding them from the front rows.

The remains of Nigerian scholar, Pius Adesnami, who died in the ill-fated Ethiopian Airlines crash earlier in March this year, was committed to mother earth in Ottawa, Canada, yesterday, Saturday, October 26th.

In attendance were his wife, Olumuyiwa, daughter Tise, family members and friends.

Pius Adesanmi was a popular Nigerian professor and columnist who died alongside 149 passengers and eight crew members in an Ethiopian Airliner plane crash earlier this year.

The airline announced that there were no survivors on its flight ET302 which crashed on Sunday en route Nairobi from Addis Ababa.

The airline said the 149 passengers and eight crew members on board the B-737-800MAX with registration number ET- AVJ, all died in the crash.

“None of the people on board the Boeing 737 that crashed en route from Addis Ababa to Nairobi survived,” the airline said.

Mad man nabbed picking used sanitary pads in Enugu (Video)

A supposed mentally unstable man was nabbed packing used pad in a dustbin in front of Tommlyn hotel which is located at the back of one Roban store in Enugu state.

It happened after a lady had gone to dispose of her dirt in the ESWAMA dustbin which had her used pad inside – immediately she turned, a mad man approached the waste bin and start packing something.

She said something touched her and she had to go back to the waste bin only for her to notice that the man packed every pad she tied in a black nylon.

It was then she alarmed those around and they chased and caught the so called mad man.

Earlier in the month, a Nigerian lady went viral on social media after she was filmed shedding ‘hot tears’ when she finally got to meet Nigerian Singer, Mayorkun.

The lady was so determined to meet the singer one on one, that she burst into tears when she was by his car window and then proceeded to mount a road block and so Mayorkun, seeing her determination, decided to let her sit by him in the car.

She was super elated and could not hold back tears and she could be heard saying ;

I have been waiting for a long time, i have tried all my life.

The lady’s hardwork, in the end was rewarded as she got into a singing duet with Mayorkun and got featured on his social media page.

I can’t speak Hausa fluently — Zahra Buhari

Zahra Buhari, the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, has revealed that she is unable to speak fluently in Hausa, her native language.

Zahra made this revelation at an event held to unveil winners of a literary contest organised by the BBC.

“I’ll make you laugh,” Zahra, who is married to businessman Ahmed Indimi said, when asked to make a comment at the ceremony officiated in Hausa.

She said she and her siblings rarely communicate in the language.

”Every day my father would correct my Hausa when I converse with him” she said in Hausa amidst laughter.

She added that they usually communicate in “Engausa” a colloquial term for mixing of English and Hausa in a conversation.

She attributed her inability to speak good Hausa to attending schools with “children of white people.”

The president’s daughter later told interviewers off stage that they mostly speak in her mother’s native Fulfude language at home.

Anita Ebodaghe, the estranged wife of the founder of Christ Embassy Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome – Anita, seems to have moved on with her life following her break up with her husband.

According to Vanguard’s Allure there also strong indications that she has remarried.

Anita sparked up marriage rumors recently after she introduced ‘Schafer’ to her maiden name.

She authored her latest article ‘A Simple Prayer’ with the name Anita Ebhodaghe Schafer, on her website at www.pastoranita.org.

Also, an article seemingly confirmed she had remarried, as one of the approved comments said, “Congratulations Pastor Anita for your new name.”

Two other comments – “Congratulations Pastor Anita for your new name,” “It was such a beautiful ceremony,” also confirmed that the mother of two had tied the nuptial nuts.

It would be recalled that Anita was last year, involved in a messy break up with her husband, Chris after she claimed he was involved in illicit affairs with female members of the church.

She said she tolerated abuse for so long and subsequently, the ministry pulled down her profile from the church website, a development that showed all was not well with the family.

She had confirmed she was no longer a part of, or involved in, Christ Embassy, also known as, Believers LoveWorld INC.

Anita, however, officially filed for divorce at Central Family Court, High Holborn, London, UK, citing her husband’s “unreasonable behaviour” and inappropriate relationships with members of staff, an intonation of “adultery” as her reason.

Nigerian Singer, Davido, is renowned for bring a number of prominent singers to limelight with his label imprint, DMW and as such, most budding singers are hoping to get a slice of luck by getting signed to OBO’s team.

That was the prayer of an up and coming singer with the handle @behza_dmw who tweeted with faith that he is already a signed DMW act as he rocked his DMW necklace.

As Kogi state gears up for her November 16th Governorship election, the office of the deputy governor of the State, Edward Onoja have gifted the traditional ruler of Igala, Dr Michael Ameh-Oboni II, with a white Rolls Royce Phantom.

Speaking at the presentation of the car this weekend, the Deputy Governor said;

“HRM Attah Igala as King Of the 9th Largest Ethnic Nationality in Nigeria is the face of the Igala nation and his appearance must show class,royalty and purity”.

Igala is the largest ethnic group in Kogi state and represents about 45% of voters in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, has reclaimed the World’s Richest Man title few hours after losing the spot to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

Bezos who ended Gates’ 24-year run as world’s richest man last year by becoming the first man on earth with a net worth of $160 billion, lost the spot on Thursday October 24, after losing nearly $7 billion in stock value. Amazon shares fell 7 per cent in after-hours trading.

He returned to the top position at the end of Friday’s markets. His shares fell by just 1% to $1,760.78, putting his net worth at $109.9 billion. Bill Gates is currently worth $105.8 billion.

Bezos’ brief slip on Thursday wasn’t entirely due to his Amazon shares falling as he would never have lost the No. 1 spot if he and ex wife, MacKenzie Bezos hadn’t divorced.

49-year-old MacKenzie received a quarter of their Amazon holdings in July. With a net worth of $32.7 billion, she is among the top 20 wealthiest people in the world.

Nollywood actress, Amara Maduka is trending on social media after she made a controversial claim that most Nigerian men with big manhood have absconded with foreign women.

The curvy actress who said this in an interview with The Sun, called for a national emergency to be declared over the shortage of men with big manhood in the country.

“How a woman dresses has absolutely nothing to do with her being raped. People just don’t get it. An adult must learn self-control or they will always land in trouble. As women, we see men wear really tight pants and have their huge crotches bulging provocatively, but we don’t rape them. A 25-year-old thief has been arrested after he abandoned his mission to watch a couple having sex in their apartment at Innocent Amadi Street (Mercy Estate) Baruwa area of Ipaja, Lagos State.

The thief,Uchenna Ebube slept off in the process and was arrested after Mr. Idris Olumo and his wife finished up and met him in their living room by 4a.m. Upon being interrogated, Uchenna said he was at the couple’s apartment to steal valuables after gaining entrance through the window.

The actor also told the crowd gathered at the Joy Forum19, which gathered entertainment promoters and industry pioneers along with global stars including Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan and Hollywood star Jean-Claude Van Damme, that he had found a location in the Kingdom to make another action film.

“It’s my first time in Saudi, and I know it’s a big country. After only a few hours [travelling] here and looking at locations I know there’s a good place for car chasing, explosions, action; so, next time, I hope to come back with my crew,” Chan said.

The movie legend also thanked Saudi Arabia for inviting him to the country, and expressed hopes the Kingdom would become a leading center of regional film and television.

Nigerian On-Air Personality, Omotunde Adebowale David popular as Lolo1 has said she needs a change in her life and a getting a new man is top priority at the moment.

Lolo1, who was formerly with Wazobia FM, granted an interview with THE SUN and she opened up on why she quit her radio job, challenges of motherhood and future plans among other issues.

How has 2019 been for you?

Fabulous! I transited from one job to the other, the year has not been as tasking as I expected. But I have accomplished a bit more. Before the end of the year, you will see me releasing my movies. This year will see me doing my comedy combat and my stage play, so it has been a good year.

Your quitting Wazobia FM took fans by surprise. What informed that decision and what’s your next plan?

Wazobia FM has been such a blessing to me and I am so excited for all the advancements; but no matter how much you love your brand, the desire to grow cannot be suppressed, and that is what I am doing. I want to keep aspiring as new opportunities open up. Even though, I am doing something new, I am not ready to give it off now because it is still cooking. But then it is still in line with radio.

You’ve been in broadcasting for the past 15 years, what were the high points?

I started out with Metro (FM) where I cut my teeth. That was where I went on air for the first time with Modele Ope and met the likes of Delight Alfred, Frank Edoho and Charles Anozodo. Wazobia FM changed a lot for me. I had my first set of awards and the job gave me access to big names and celebrities. I don’t think there is any A-list artiste that I have not interviewed. I had the privilege of interviewing ambassadors and even the vice president and traveled extensively. It has been an amazing and rewarding journey with so many high points.

How about the low points?

When I started pidgin broadcasting, I had an experience. I have done English programming for a long time hence pidgin challenged me at first. I was on Cool FM, doubling as a newsreader when I called Roger Federer ‘Roger Federerer’. Before I knew it, it was in the newspapers how terrible the newscaster was! How I couldn’t pronounce Roger Federer right. It was in a national daily, so you can imagine how devastating it was for me. I remember another instance when I was on radio as a new broadcaster and someone said ‘get that person off the air. She doesn’t know how to speak pidgin’.

Tell us about life as a single mother of four and what is your advice for women in your shoes?

Being a single mum has been one of the most challenging roles in my life. It is a situation that nobody desires, but when life happens, you take it as it comes and move on. I always tell everyone it is not easy, so stop labeling any woman or a mother that is nurturing her children on her own. It is not a disease; it is a state of being. You can’t label people just because they are single, married, divorced, aged, coloured or whatever. We just have to treat everyone like the unique individuals they are. I don’t consider myself different because I am a woman. I consider myself hardworking and a human being; it is not really about my gender. It is tough raising children ….

In her words “ Because of the love I have for my sister,I shaved off my hair to honor her and this coincided with a role I was playing at the time that demanded I go bald. I took up the job and that’s how I lost my man “.

The young lad who was excited about this new feat took to his page to share several mirror selfies while holding the carton of the luxury device.

The comments on the photos shows some of his friends hailing him for acquiring the device.

There is a general rule of thumb that a man should never hit a woman no matter what she said or did.

Well in a recent trending video on social media, a man broke that rule after he landed his fist on a woman who repeatedly punched him on his face at an event.

The reason for the woman’s action was not certain but while some social users berated the man for putting his hands on a woman, others hailed him saying he did the right thing.

Nigerian superstar, Wizkid is fresh off his sold-out starboy fest in o2 arean in the UK and he has just notched a nomination in this year’s Soul Train Awards.

Wizkid appears in the list for his collaborative song with Beyoncé, Brown Skin Girl.

He has been nominated in two categories: Best collaboration and the Songwriters award.

This makes it Wizkids 3rd nomination at the Soul Train awards. He was nominated for ‘Best Dance Performance’ in 2017 for his song ‘Come Closer’, a single from his last album ‘Sounds from the other side’.

The actress who disclosed this in an interview on UTV’s ‘Atuu’ show, said the fear and anxiety in horror movies makes her cuddle the person she is watching the movie with, and then gets turned on in the process.

Reality TV star, Uriel Oputa has given a bit of hint on kind of men she can no longer date and the kind of man she wants to be with.

According to Uriel, five years ago, she could have comfortably dated someone “up and coming” but as of now, this is something she can no longer do.

The reality TV star went on to say she needs a man with drive and purpose adding that;

“I just don’t want to struggle. I’m having 5 babies so he has to come correct.”

In her words ;

Five years ago i coild have dated someone up and coming… but not now!! I need to see vision and drive.

Plus do you know how expensive it is to look after my mum alone.

Its sad but the last thing i need is someone depending on me.
