Enugu State’s First Lady, Monica Ugwuanyi has reportedly commissioned tippy taps constructed for primary school pupils in the state.
According to reports, the tippy taps were allegedly constructed by a foundation that belongs to the wife of Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, to aid pupils of Amechi Primary School in Awkunanaw community of Enugu South Local Government Area in washing their hands.

Bukola Saraki has stated that his attention has been drawn to an order said to have been granted by a Federal High Court in Lagos for a temporary forfeiture of his property on 17A McDonald Road, Ikoyi, following an ex-parte application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a statement by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki stated that the Federal High Court in Lagos must have been misled into granting that order as neither him nor his lawyers were aware of any application by the EFCC for any forfeiture order.

My attention has been drawn to an Order granted by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos pursuant to an ex-parte application by @officialEFCC
It is my belief that the Judge was misled into granting this Order and was not presented with the full position of the law or the facts
It is my belief that the Court was not informed of a pending Order of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja restraining @officialEFCC from taking any steps regarding the seizure of the property in question pending the determination of a suit filed before that Court.
I also believe that the Court was not made aware that the property in question formed part of the judgment of the Court given on July 6, 2018 where the Supreme Court declared that the source of funds for the purchase of the property was not illicit as claimed by the prosecution.
The Supreme Court specifically referred to No 17a McDonald Road, Ikoyi on pages 12, 13 and 26 of its judgment upholding the no-case submission made before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
I am confident that once these facts and the declaration of the Supreme Court are brought before the Court, this Order will be vacated. My lawyers will be approaching the Court immediately to achieve this.

A Federal High court sitting in Lagos today Monday October 21st, ordered the temporary forfeiture of two properties in the Ikoyi area of Lagos state linked to immediate past Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The EFCC had filed a petition before the court seeking the temporary forteiture of the properties located on 17B McDonald road Ikoyi, which they claimed are proceeds of ”unlawful activities”.
The reliefs sought by the Anti-Graft agency reads ;
“An order of this honourable Court forfeiting to the Federal Government of Nigeria landed property with appurtenances situate, lying and known as No. 17A McDonald Road, Ikoyi, Eti Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State found and recovered from the respondent which property is reasonably suspected to have been acquired with proceeds of unlawful activity”.
The former Senate President is under investigation for misappropriation of funds while he was governor of Kwara state from 2003 to 2011.
A Federal High Court in Lagos will on Oct. 22 begin the trial of popular Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley, facing fraud charges, PM news reports.
Anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had preferred an 11-count charge against the musician bordering on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit cards, and fraud.
The “Jo Soapy” crooner, was arraigned on May 20 before Justice Nicholas Oweibo but denied the charges. Following a bail application by defence counsel, Mr. Olalekan Ojo, (SAN), the court had granted Fashola bail in the sum of N2 million with sureties in like sum.
The trial of the defendant, which was earlier fixed for Monday, has now been shifted to Oct. 22 (tomorrow) as the court did not sit. However, both the defence and prosecution counsel were present and seen in the court’s premises.
According to the charge, the defendant allegedly committed the offences on different dates between Nov. 26, 2018, Dec.11, 2018, and May 10.

Event planner Reverence, from Nigeria, wanted to celebrate her tenth wedding anniversary with her husband, Joseph Efoma-Oruerio in style. She wanted a unique entrance so she did just that.
She ordered a giant inflatable balloon to make her grand entrance into the venue, even if it cost her $500 and had to be shipped from Dubai.
At the reception, which held in Warri, Nigeria, Reverence shocked her guests as she rolled in with the transparent ball.
Reverence, 35, and husband Joseph, 51, invited friends and family to celebrate the special day with them.
She said: “The idea came from watching my kids playing in the pool with a balloon. I started thinking of how a bride could make an entrance into her wedding in a balloon. I searched online for life-size balloons and eventually bought one from Dubai for $500.

Mike easily won the hearts of many Nigerians in the Big Brother Naija house. What were your thoughts when he was leaving for the Big Brother Naija?
It was really hard that I wasn’t going to see my husband for 99 days and I didn’t even realise he made it into the house and I was like, wow, this is going to be harder than I thought. A long time without my husband and we were newly married.
When did you guys get married?
We got married May 23 this year and three weeks after then my husband travelled to Nigeria and he had to stay in the Big Brother House for 99 days. Although many have celebrated Mike for his conduct in the house, I never thought anything different would happen at any point.
Is it for true that you didn’t feel threatened at any time throughout his stay in the house?
I didn’t feel threatened; I couldn’t have felt that way because I know him and the kind of person he is.
Not even when some of the guys did some things or dressed in certain ways?
Yes, there was no such thing as a threat or thinking that he could be tempted but I did see some things and I felt ‘Huh, what’s going on here?’
But then I trust my husband, he is a good looking young man but I trust him absolutely.You guys are even talking about whatever happened inside the Big Brother house.
I am talking about outside the house where I’ve had more of that. I have seen people trying to claim my husband and I will be like ‘no, no, no I can’t share, Mike belongs to me,’ Perry. Okay.
But I know it was all love because my husband demonstrated being a real man, he did have some funny expressions on his face sometimes but it didn’t happen beyond that point and I am so proud of my husband.
In all, what are the values you cherish most about him beyond what we have seen?
Mike is such a gentleman. The reason I fell in love with him is because he was so much about me, he opens doors for me. You know, that is a big deal for me.
I have never had anyone do that for me before because I was an independent woman and I was doing everything myself. So with him, I had to kind of step back and allow my heart feel something.
Mike is such a nice guy, he takes care of me and he will always support anything I do, he just wants to see that I’m happy.
And sometimes he cooks for me, he loves cooking a lot and he sometimes clean the house; he is really a good guy and I trust him enough to know there will be.
Now that he is talking about staying in Nigeria, how are you going to cope with that?
I am going to be around much because I understand he wants to grow his business here. I am of Jamaican background but I have Nigerian friends in the UK so this culture is nothing new to me.
I have seen it, I know it and I love the music, the people and I am Nigerian now because my husband is from here.
We talked about his coming and everything because no matter what I am doing, he has got my back and whatever I am doing, I’ve got his back also and what we agreed when he wanted to go in is for him to be himself.
And I am not surprised that people are showing him love like this because he can go anywhere and be part of any crowd, black or white, it doesn’t matter and people would love you if they would.

Meanwhile, Gracious David-West, the notorious serial killer who was arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, will be arraigned before Justice Adulphos Enebeli of the state High Court today October 21st. He has arrived the court and will be arraigned soon.
Gracious who confessed to killing seven women in different hotels, was arrested on Thursday September 19, by officers attached to the Rivers State Police Command.
