A 24-year-old boy who specialized in sending threat messages to his unsuspecting victims, has been arrested by the police.
Opoma Terry, who operates from Lagos state, sends messages to his victims, threatening to assassinate or kidnap them if some specified amount of money is not paid.
The suspect, who recently got back from Ghana, was arrested for trying to defraud Hon. Ned Nwoko, the husband of Regina Daniels, by telling him that he was hired to assassinate the actress.
Accordng to Terry, at first, he tried defrauding Chief Nwoko of the sum of N700k, but along the line, he had a change of mind and started opening up himself, to the extent of telling him that he’s not actually an assassin, but a Yahoo boy who just needs his financial assistance to drop the habit.
Chief Nwoko, while playing along, requested for his account details and made a transfer of N400k to him. But before then, he already alerted Access bank management and security operatives about Terry and he was arrested when he went to withdraw the money.
Tanzanian recording artiste, Diamond Platnumz‘s sister, Esma has admitted that herself and her mother, Bi Sandra throw out her brother’s lovers who do not tend to abide by their rules.
Esma who has before now, been blamed alongside her mother for the Tanzanian singer’s failed relationships, said she does not allow her younger brother’s girlfriends get too clingy.

The Zamfara Governor appointed Mr Maibiredi as Senior Special Assistant with effect from September 14, 2019.
In a telephone interview with DailyNigerian, Mr Maibiredi, 24, said he would still continue selling bread after office hours.

“I am still very proud of my business, and I never felt denigrated selling bread. I started selling bread since I was in primary school.
“I use the proceeds of the business to pay PTA dues for myself, pay for common entrance examination, placement examination and SSCE.

Mompha, a premium and first class customer of one of the popular international airlines, was arrested on Friday 18, October 2019 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on his way to Dubai Emirate following series of intelligence reports received by the EFCC.
According to reports going viral online, a female student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, yesterday confessed to being a mermaid.
Upon hearing the news that one of them confessed she was of the marine world, pandemonium erupted as other female students ran out of the hostel for ”safety.”

“A girl named Blessing who is being squatted by Olamide in Fagunwa hall had a misunderstanding with her. The misunderstanding was caused by a missing wristwatch. Upon losing her necklace, Olamide suspected Blessing and immediately sent her packing from the room and also wrote long notes stating and threatening her not to ever mess with the Marine spirits frankly stating that she is one of them.

Gracious David-West, the notorious Port-harcourt serial killer yesterday pleaded guilty to the murder of 9 ladies.
The suspect was arraigned before a Rivers State High Court on a 10-count charge bordering on conspiracy and murder at the Justice Adolphous Enebeli court in Port Harcourt
“My Lord, I killed all other girls in the hotels but that one in Bendel Street, which is the 10th charge. I did not have in mind to kill her, I only tied her to the chair,” the accused told the court.

A Twitter user Lovinabrooks, has shared screenshots of the conversation she had with a man she refused his proposal.

According to the EFCC operatives, “actionable cross border intelligence received from collaborative law enforcement agencies about his alleged involvement in the criminal activities further strengthened our suspicion”.
Ismaila who allegedly perpetrates his fraudulent activities under the guise of being a Bureau de Change operator is always seen with his little son flaunting huge amount of foreign currencies on his social medial platforms.
Investigations have also revealed that Ismaila is only using the BDC business, he jointly owned with his siblings, as a decoy to launder his proceeds of crime.
However, the suspect has volunteered useful information to the operatives and has admitted to be reasonably involved in the first two cases he was alleged to be involved.
At the point of arrest, five wristwatches with a total worth of over twenty million naira (N20, 000, 000: 00) was recovered from him.
The suspects will soon be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Embattled self-acclaimed bureau de change operator, Mompha, whose flamboyant lifestyle gained him popularity on Instagram, has been arrested by anti-graft operatives.
According to PREMIUM TIMES Mompha, whose real name is Mustapha Ismaila was arrested in connection to alleged graft.
Wilson Uwujaren, a spokesperson for the EFCC, confirmed Mr Mustapha had been taken into custody by anti-graft detectives, but declined to provide further details in the meantime.
The arrest was reportedly a joint operation between Interpol and the EFCC. But Umar Garba, Nigeria’s head of Interpol, told PREMIUM TIMES although he had learnt of the arrest, all enquiries should be treated by the EFCC as the primary law enforcement institution in charge of the investigation.

Update: According to The Nation, a Federal High Court in Lagos has just adjourned the alleged card fraud trial of musician, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley, who is facing card fraud charges.

Justice Nicholas Oweibo made the decision so as to allow the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission counsel Mr Rotimi Oyedepo and Fashola’s counsel Mr Olalekan Ojo SAN to respond to two motions.
The court is yet to fix a date for trial proper, but has asked Fashola’s counsel to move his motion.
The proceedings are ongoing.
Fashola, popular for his “Am I a Yahoo Boy” and “Soapy” tracks, is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on an 11-count charge of conspiracy, possession of counterfeit cards and fraud.
His co-defendant is one Yad Isril, who is said to still be at large.
The defendant was arraigned on May 20 before Justice Nicholas Oweibo, but pleaded not guilty.
He secured N2 million bail with two sureties in the like sum, following an application by his counsel, Mr Olalekan Ojo, (SAN).

According to the charge, the defendant committed the offences on different dates including November 26, 2018, December 11, 2018, and May 10,
Fashola and his accomplices allegedly conspired to use different Access Bank ATM Cards to defraud their victims.
They allegedly used Access Card number 5264711020433662 issued to other persons, in a bid to obtain fraudulent financial gains.
Fashola was said to have possessed these counterfeit credit cards, belonging to different cardholders, with intent to defraud, and which also constituted theft.
The offences contravene the provisions of Section 1 23 (1) (b), 27 (1}, 33, 33(9) Cyber Crime (Prohibition) Prevention Act, 2015.

Jaruma further mentioned that Chioma, Davido’s fiancé who recently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, is a lucky woman.
She says Chioma is lucky Davido’s mother is resting, insinuating that Chioma doesn’t have a mother-in-law who will make her life a living hell.
“Mother in-laws are the cause of divorce! Chioma does not have any mother in-law making her life a living hell…Chioma is lucky!”

The couple are set to make their union official in 2020 when they finally tie the knot in a ceremony that is set to be the talk of town for many weeks.
The most controversial housemate in the just concluded Big Brother Nigeria, 2019 Pepper Dem Game show, Tacha, has revealed the reason she loves Davido to have gotten the OBO crest in between her boobs is the singer’s drive and strength are what she loves and admires.

When asked who she was attracted to during her 89-day stay in the house, she said; “I was attracted to Biggie. I was attracted to his voice and Biggie once turned me on. When Frodd won the Ultimate Veto Power and it was nomination night, he called Tacha and after calling other nominees, he called Tacha again and when I queried, he said, Tacha, no leave, no transfer and that turned me on. I was like wow, Biggie did that for me.”
“I’ve learned a lot in the house. Biggie is incredible and I feel it’s a platform everyone should experience if they could. My highlight was going into the house, every process was deliberate.
“I am learning, I am 23, it’s not a reason, but I am learning not to pay attention to things that don’t matter and just walk away. I can be hotheaded. My energy in the house surprises me now, it’s not a good thing, but I’m learning.”
