The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, on Friday night August 2nd, said contrary to his earlier comment, only one pastor of the church was abducted by kidnappers along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Thursday August 1st.
He made the clarification while addressing pastors of the Church at the Redemption camp along Lagos-Ibadan express way.
On Friday morning August 2nd, Adeboye had announced during a church service that 5 of his church pastors who were traveling to the camp ground for the annual Ministers conference have been abducted.
However when he addressed his congregation during the evening service, he said investigations by the police has shown that it was only one pastor of the church that was kidnapped alongside four other persons.
“People have been taunting me and challenging me that since I hear from God how come this is happening to your church pastors. I want to say it has been confirmed that only one pastor of the church was kidnapped along with four other people. That does not reduce from the weight of the incidence however. The church will continue to pray for the release of all those who have been kidnapped”, he said.
Some Ikorodu residents stopped some operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) from arresting a young man in the neighborhood whom they accused of being an internet fraudster.
The SARS officers were reportedly in the Lagos community to arrest a young man they accused of being a yahoo boy.
They were however stopped and quickly drove out after residents of the area trooped out shouting ‘ole’ (thief).

Fast rising actor, model and television presenter, Somadina Adinma, has finally opened up on his relationship with teenaged actress, Regina Daniels.
Adinma, who admitted that he has found love again after Regina left to marry another man, however, revealed that his opinion doesn’t count if someone decides to marry whomever he or she desires. He also talked about other issues. Enjoy it.
Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Somadina Adinma. I am from Anambra State. I am the last child of my family. My dad is late and I have just my mom and a sibling.
From being a kid actor, how has the journey been?
It wasn’t easy. It was very hard. You know, at a point, I stopped acting because my mom felt that acting was taking my mind away from school. So, I stopped acting. I couldn’t get admission to higher institution, so I went to do a diploma course in Cooperative Economics and Management. After my two-year course, I gained admission to study Theatre Arts and Film at the university. I started acting again in my 300 Level and it was very hard. Now, staging a comeback is very hard.
What’s it like combining education and acting?
It was very hard. I studied Theatre Arts and Film, so combining acting and schooling was very tough. I wasn’t getting jobs frequently and it was after my graduation that I started getting roles.
What kind of student were you in school?
Of course, I was like every other student. The only difference was that they treated me a bit special. But then, in Theatre Arts, everybody was a star. They knew I was an actor but everybody in my department was a star, including the lecturers.
Did you fail any course?
Yes, in my first year, I didn’t know it was all about attendance and stuff like that. I had few carryovers in my first year, but I never had any carryover again till I graduated.
What was your motivation?
The love of the craft was my motivation. This was something I started as a child. Then, it was like a plaything. But it started making sense for me to want to study Theatre Arts and Film in the university.
Did life as a kid actor rob you of your childhood?
No, it didn’t. Life as a kid actor didn’t take anything away from me. I had time to play with every other child in school and at any other places.
How were you discovered as a kid actor?
There was this day I came out into my street and I met some people filming. It was actually Osita Iheme and Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki and Paw Paw) doing the filming. So, I walked up to one of the cast, he was an actor too, and said I wanted to be like these ‘kids’. He looked at me and smiled. He said ‘those are not kids, they are adults, but if you are really sure you want to act, I can meet your parents to get the go ahead’. They eventually came, but they wanted to take my brother instead of me. And I was like ‘who does that?’ Then I was very small, I was like seven or eight years old. But the edge I had over others was that I could read and understand the words, and they had to tell other kids to say ‘this and that’ before they could say so. That was how it started for me. I think my first movie was actually a scene, the tittle was ‘Charge and Bail’, and I did it with Osita Iheme.
Which movie brought you back into the spotlight?
I did two movies ‘Love and Oil’ directed by Ifeogwu. It starred acts like Yul Edochie, Nuella Njubuigbo and so many others. The second was ‘Miss Teacher’, a Chika Ike’s movie, which was about child’s right. I was one of the main characters in the movie, and then ‘Mr China’s, ‘Eliza the Village Lover’ and others. Those were the movies that people saw and started calling me for jobs again.
Now that you are back, has it been easy for you?
It wasn’t easy to stage a comeback. But now that I am back as an adult actor and a graduate, I think it will be easier.
Which is your most favourite movie?
Wow, do I have a favourite movie? I think all of them are cool, but the movies that took me everywhere was the ones I did with Regina (Daniels). I think that’s ‘the woman I love’.
What was the chemistry like between you and Regina?
We met at a location, we were both young and we bonded. We were meant to be friends and when you are cool with the characters on set, interpretation of the story becomes normal. So, it just happened. It’s like when Genevieve (Nnaji) and Ramsey (Nouah) were doing their thing. Yeah, we were able to connect.
Looking at the whole scenario, would you say meeting Regina Daniels added a kind of vibe to your career?
Yes, it did. But I was the vibe before I met her. Then, she added more vibe and that’s it. After the movies, we became friends, colleagues and close friends.
What do you have to say about the reports that she dumped you for another man and you became angry?
No, no, no, I got angry because people were coming to say stuff they didn’t know anything about. They were trolling me. All I know is that people need to mind their business. It’s not everything you inquire about. At times, people should just be like ‘this is none of my business, let me just allow this slide’. Regina and I were very close friends. She didn’t dump me for anybody. Nobody dumped anybody. Nobody is feeling bad about anything.
What’s your take on her marriage to Ned Nwoko?
I don’t have a take on someone’s personal life. Whatever anyone has chosen to do with his or her life, that’s his or her personal life. My opinion is not even needed. My stand won’t change anything.
Many people thought that though you felt sad, you’ve moved on
But why should people feel like that. When you are not ready to marry, would you tell the other person not to marry because you are not ready? That’s wickedness. Even when you are ready, you may decide not to marry the person. I am not saying that’s the case, but Regina and I were close friends.
So, you didn’t feel bad about the whole thing?
No, not at all.
Are you in a relationship now?
Yes, I have always been in a relationship.
Who’s the lucky girl?
My mom, my brother, my friends; all these people love me and I love them too. Is that not enough?
How do you handle female fans that want to get down with you?
It’s okay to be cool with everybody, all your fans. One thing they should know is that you can’t be for everybody. You can never be for everybody. I will like to follow everybody on my Instagram, but unfortunately I can’t do so.
What’s the craziest thing a fan has done to you?
The craziest thing keeps repeating itself all the time. When they want to take pictures with me in public, and I am a very shy person. I always feel embarrassed when all these things happen but I’m getting used to it little by little.
How about remuneration? Would you say the movie industry is able to put food on your table?
Sure, it does. But you don’t have to put all your eggs in one basket. You also have to do other businesses.
Apart from acting, what other things do you do?
I just finished my NYSC. I wanted to do my own movie. I’ve done one, which is showing on YouTube entitled, ‘My Best Friend Caused My Pain’. It’s the story of two siblings that did something that’s a taboo. From there, I would expand to other businesses.
Rumour has it that you are now dating Princess Nnenna Orji after dumping Regina Daniels?
(Laughter) I don’t know anything about that o. People always feel I have everything figured out, so if they feel this is what’s going on now, then it is.
Are you confirming that you are in a relationship with her?
I don’t know (laughter). It’s just that Princess Nnenna Orji and I are very close friends. The kind of friendship I had with Regina is the type of friendship I have with Nnenna now.
What attracted you to Princess?
Princess is my very good friend.
Are you using her to rub off?
No, certainly not so.
Apart from who we see on the screen, who really is Somadina?
Somadina is very funny. That’s the Somadina you don’t know. Somadina is a calm guy, but when you step on his toes, he will show you he’s not so calm. And Somadina is a very hardworking person; he’s a goal getter. Somadina believes in slow and steady and Somadina is someone who has a very big dream.
A mother who killed her two daughters because they “got in the way of her s*x life” has been jailed for life.
Louise Porton denied killing three-year-old Lexi Draper and 17-month-old Scarlett Vaughan, who died 18 days apart last year.
But the 23-year-old, of Skiddaw, Rugby, was found guilty of their murder and on Friday she was jailed for a minimum of 32 years.
During her trial, jurors heard Porton did not seem distressed by the deaths.
Passing sentence at Birmingham Crown Court, Mrs Justice Yip described the murders as “evil” and “calculated”.
“These were blameless young children who were plainly vulnerable and ought to have been able to rely on their mother to protect and nurture them,” she said.
“Instead you took their young lives away.”
The judge told the court Porton had “no medical history or mental disorder that goes any way to explaining what happened in this case”.
She added: “One way or another you squeezed the life out of each of your daughters, only calling the emergency services when you knew they were dead.
“I am sure at the time of the deaths, you intended to kill each of your daughters.
“Why you did so, only you will know.”
Porton, of Beechwood Court, suffocated Lexi in the early hours of 15 January 2018, and was then heard “laughing” at a funeral parlour two days before killing Scarlett on 1 February.
Jurors heard Porton accepted 41 friend requests on a dating app just a day after Lexi died, and was described by prosecutors as being “calm and emotionless” following Scarlett’s death.
While Lexi was ill in hospital, just over a week before she died, Porton took topless photos in the toilets and was arranging to perform sex acts for money with a man she had met through a website, the court was told.
Both Lexi and Scarlett’s deaths were consistent with deliberate airway obstruction, and prosecutors told her trial that doctors “could not find any natural reason” for their deaths.
Warwickshire Police said it was also “clear from the evidence” that Porton had tried to kill her three-year-old twice before, in early January 2018, before eventually succeeding.
Porton, who described herself as a “model”, also used her Google account to search for “Why did my 3 year(-old) stop breathing” and “How long after drowning can someone be resuscitated?”
In a victim impact statement, the children’s father, Chris Draper, said he was “broken”.
“Why did Louise do something so evil to our beautiful daughters? You are their mother, the person supposed to care for them, protect and love them.
“They were just an inconvenience to you; how could you do this?”
“I sit and think day and night and I can’t understand why my two little girls were taken away because Louise wanted to sleep around.”
He added: “I hate Louise. No punishment will ever be enough as I will never get my daughters back.”
The first day of the trial was told that from August 2016 until early November 2017, Porton lived at an address in Willenhall, near Walsall, where her landlady spent “more and more time” caring for Lexi and Scarlett while their mother was “doing social things” instead of looking after them.
Det Supt Pete Hill, from Warwickshire Police, added: “These were premeditated murders for which she has shown no remorse, and the length of the sentence reflects this.”
Warwickshire County Council and the Warwickshire Safeguarding Board confirmed a serious case review had been commissioned following the deaths of Lexi and Scarlett.

Talented Nigerian singer, Tekno who has been off the scene for a while has granted a ‘tell all’ interview with OAP Daddy Freeze where he revealed in details the struggles he went through when his vocal cords shut down for months.
Narrating his ordeal, Tekno said he spent months and millions of naira on hospital bills. He also revealed he was operated on by a robot and how he now carries a magnetic device in his system.
Read excerpts of the interview below;
I went under the radar for a bit because I was sick and It all started at an event in Ghana, I performed with Wizkid and Davido but somehow I cracked my voice on stage that night. So when I got back to the hotel, I told my guys I didn’t want to go out again because I really injured my voice and just wanted to rest.
The next day, I had a show In Togo, I performed, still stressed the voice and came back to Lagos but it wasn’t getting better, so I went to see a doctor, he put a camera down my throat but he didn’t really see anything so he just gave me antibiotics and said i should be fine in a week or two but I didn’t get better and by this time I had started cancelling shows.
So I decided to fly to London, saw the first doctor and he said ‘your vocal cord is just irritated’ he gave me drugs and said I should be fine in about two weeks, but nothing changed.
So I decided to fly to Los Angeles and again I saw the first doctor , he said the same thing. At this stage I was loosing my mind already because it didn’t make sense anymore, I couldn’t sing, I couldn’t talk, sometime they tell me to stay quiet for a week (laughs).
Some people around me started saying it may be from Ubi Franklin because my contract was going to expire in a few months and he didn’t want me to sing again, some others said It could be Iyanya, someone else said It could be a girl, another person offered to take me to see babalawo, I was really getting frustrated. Someone even told me to buy a goat and three matchetes for sacrifice
This all happened over a period of like four months, no work, no recording, no performing, I was just spending money from hospital to hospital. Then I started doing vocal therapy and it got to a point i just thought doing a surgery was the best option.
I eventually flew to New York to see another doctor who promised me i’ll be fine and sing again. At this point, I had spent alot of money and done all sorts of weird and disgusting tests and scans.
The surgery option i opted for was the one that had to do with them putting a magnet inside my throat. The surgery was done by a robot, they cut me in five different places. After the surgery, I couldn’t move, i couldn’t breath, couldn’t sneeze. It was hell.

New BBNaija housemate, Venita has confessed to Khafi that she is interested in her man, Gedoni, whom she described as a ‘fine man’.
New BBNaija housemate, Venita has obviously come into the house with enough pepper as she is trying hard to step on some people’s toes and cause some commotion here and there.
One of her major targets is Khafi but Khafi on her part finds it a bit funny and awkward.
This morning, while Khafi and Gedoni were chilling in the garden alongside other housemates, she was heard telling Gedoni about Venita’s plan to share him with her.
She said, “She’s like ‘This your man is fine o, you can share o. And I was like really?’”
Venita was obviously teasing Khafi but Khafi didn’t let off her guard and she has shown she would definitely stop at nothing to keep Gedoni away from the arms of another woman.
Khafi, like KimOprah confirmed she is too clingy on Gedoni and she is one who would not want to share her man with anyone, (she confirmed this to Biggie before the show began), which was why she marked her territory with Gedoni from day 1, so other female housemates stay clear.

He encouraged people from poor backgrounds to let them know that, where they are going to can be better than where they started off from.
The Instagram big boy, best known for living a flamboyant life, from wearing expensive dress, to showing off flashy cars on Instagram, wrote a motivational speech that reads:
They say you have to be a certain caliber of man to be respect by certain caliber of people, today I’m proud of the success of a lot of young people that were raised in the slum/hood and made beyond the middle class level. When I see majority of houses on the island is owned by young people raise in the mainland by parents from the lower class. There’s a major shifting now in the wealth sharing, a lot of rich kids now work under CEOs who had less resources than them while growing up. I want anyone out there to know where you come from or how u are raised is not a factor to determine how far you can reach in life, most of the wealthiest people in the world were not raised with silver spoons, be determined, and don’t let society and media distract you with this new culture of being addicted to substances that gets you high that’s killing a lot of people’s dreams out there, drinking codeine and smoking all that stuffs don’t equal to “having fun” don’t kill your own destiny with your ignorance. God bless everyone’s hustle, your dreams will come true, keep chasing them, a lot of you are aware of my struggles, my journey, I have been called many names, I have been dragged multiple times but I didn’t let none of that distract me from staying focused and staying on the right path of success and I am more focused now to stay successful than I was to becoming successful. Hope to see y’all at the top
Omawumi weighed in on the rape allegation against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo by Busola Dakolo at an event she headlined.
The singer’s speech centered on not featuring on Beyonce’s Lion King album, rape, domestic abuse and the award presented to Senator Elisha Abbo even after he was spotted in a viral video assaulting a nursing mother.
Omawumi stated that wise people teach others how to deal with a ‘bad feeling’ as the world never teaches anyone that it will stop. She added that people have been getting away with rape for a long time and though she will accept that a rapist won’t own up to the crime, however they need to STFU.
Revealing that rape victims will get the support they need if they come forward with their story, the ‘If You Ask Me’ crooner also asked how an abuser will feel if they were in the spot of the victim. Omawumi rounded off her speech by saying that Busola Dakolo’s rape story is an inspiration to every other young girl who has been abused in the past.

In the caption, she addressed those criticizing her for posing naked. She said people warned her that she won’t get ahead with her recent knack for posing nude but she doesn’t intend to listen to them.
Adetutu, we live in a conservative society. You won’t get gigs with these nonsense you are doing and posting. They said “do you” but they don’t really mean it. Hypocrisy stinks! I do me and I will not change for no one even though I know Nigeria is a deeply religious society where your business is everyone’s. Waka pass is an option but people rarely use it. At some point you would have to choose between your conscience and pleasing those people. Ire ooooo.
She told her critics: “I do me and I will not change for no one even though I know Nigeria is a deeply religious society where your business is everyone’s.”
In another, she wrote: “Unless you have lived my life, don’t judge me.”
Fans have continued to express mixed feelings following the introduction of a new housemate, Cindy Okafor.
News Agency of Nigeria reports that she was introduced in the final phase of the three-day-long BBNaija twist on Thursday evening.
Cindy is a photographer and videographer who runs an online radio and also produces social media comedy skits.
She became the fifth housemate to be introduced this far into the show following Venita Akpofure, Elozonam Ogbolu, Joe Abdallah and Enkay.
While some fans of the show felt Biggie was introducing too many new housemates to the show, others applauded the plan, adding that it would keep housemates on their toes.
Meanwhile, some viewers stated that Cindy, who is a singer and artist, was not Big Brother material and would not fit into the house. Some others, however, disagreed.
@Vee_Vii tweeted, “Viewers: Big brother stop bringing celebs & already made people. Bring the normal people who suffered to audition.
“Same viewers: Why does this Cindy look so dry? She should do and be going. Are you people not mad ni? Cut the girl some slack, she just came. ”
@Annieberry said, “Truth be told its people like Cindy that big brother should have selected for his house. Regular and not famous. Not all this ‘I gana wana people’ up and down.”
@Chiadinelson said, “This Cindy is definitely not the pepper we asked for ‘she’s looking more like tomato ”
@Gossipboys13 tweeted, “Cindy please go back home #BBNaija.”

BBNaija housemate, Khafi has shunned an advice from fellow housemates over her relationship with Gedoni.
Recall that Mercy on Thursday night advised Khafi to stop focusing on Gedoni and realise the reason she is in BBNaija house.
Mercy told her to put her drive for winning ’60m’ first and focus on the game than her love interest for Gedoni.
Also, one of the new housemates, Venita advised Khafi to take it slow with Gedoni.
However, Khafi, who seemed to have agreed with Mercy last night, made a u-turn and told Gedoni that everyone is against their relationship and wants to separate them.
She said this to Gedoni on Friday morning while assuring him of her love for him.
According to her, “Everyone seems to be advising me on my relationship with you.
“People are against us but I still have you in mind regardless and not listening to their opinions.
“I don’t care if Venita thinks I’m always with you, you are my man and I don’t care.”
Big Brother Naija, housemate, Mercy has advised Khafi against her love interest, Gedoni, telling her not to allow love and sex make her lose focus.
Khafi seems to have fallen head over heels for fellow housemate, Gedoni and has been caught severally having sex with him.
This seems not to have gone down well with her fans, viewers and housemates. Some feel she is losing focus on why she is in the house.
Mercy, speaking to Khafi on Thursday night, advised her to put her drive for winning ‘60m’ first and focus on the game than her love interest for Gedoni.
According to her, “Don’t limit yourself, you’re here for one reason. Yea love happens but N60 million first.
“Love is sweet, but in these few months, money comes first. I’ve fallen for Ike but I know my major reason in this place is to win.”
War between the Afolayan brother looks like it isn’t ending anytime soon, as Actor Aremu Afolayan seems to be throwing shade at his siblings in his birthday post.
The tension between Aremu and his siblings is no secret, especially between him and filmmaker Kunle Afolayan.
Recall that last year, Kunle called Aremu “stupid” for claiming they grew up poor. Also, Kunle didn’t offer him support when he received heat for calling out the President and Vice President of Nigeria and the Lagos State governor after he suffered an embarrassing incident at the Lagos Airport. What Kunle did, instead, was to correct those who mistook his brother for him.
To add to that, Aremu doesn’t feature in his brother’s movies and he once addressed that in an interview.
Well, with these on ground, Aremu took to Instagram to wish himself a happy birthday but he made sure to leave his brothers out of the post.
In the post, he thanked those who have played a part in his life. He thanked his mum, thanked his fans, then he thanked the people who love him and “those who God forced on him”. He wrote this part in Yoruba but didn’t provide names.
Aremu went on to defy his elder brother again by insisting they grew up poor. He narrated how they were so poor that he had to help his mum sell pepper soup and once had to steal money from his mum to take to school so he and his siblings could eat.
See what he wrote below.

A 7-year-old boy complaining of jaw pain was found to have 526 teeth inside his mouth. He was admitted in July because of swelling and pain near his molars in his lower right jaw.
When doctors scanned and x-rayed his mouth, they found a sac embedded in his lower jaw filled with “abnormal teeth,” Dr. Prathiba Ramani, the head of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at Saveetha Dental College and Hospital in India said.
After discovering the sac, two surgeons removed it from the boy’s mouth. Then Ramani’s team took four to five hours to empty the sac to confirm its contents and discovered the hundreds of teeth.
“There were a total of 526 teeth ranging from 0.1 millimeters (.004 inches) to 15 millimeters (0.6 inches). Even the smallest piece had a crown, root and enamel coat indicating it was a tooth,” she said.
The boy was released three days after the surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, Ramani said. Ramani said the boy was suffering from a very rare condition called compound composite odontoma. She said what caused the condition is unclear, but it could be genetic or it could be due to environmental factors like radiation.
The boy actually may have had the extra teeth for some time. His parents told doctors that they had noticed swelling in his jaw when he was as young as 3, but they couldn’t do much about it because he would not stay still or allow doctors to examine him.
Ghanaian actor Oboy Siki, shared his belief of spending money on sex with young ladies being better than properties, in a new interview he granted.
Oboy Siki in an interview with ZionFelix stated that he believes one should spend all his money on sleeping with young ladies because people don’t get buried with their properties. He also mentioned that he’s from a family of womanizers and also working hard to keep the legacy alive.
The Ghanaian actor concluded by saying that all he is focused on at his age is sleeping with younger girls.
This is coming few days after the Ghanaian actor revealed that he has slept with over 2500 women which he kept a list for. Read Here
