A Nigerian Twitter user has accused Christians of not practicing what they preach – according to Adunni, to her Christians preach about forgiving your enemies and praying for them but have not for once knelt down to pray for Satan.
Few days back, @Adunni_Achebe tweeted that, “Satan is the most misunderstood guy” who “gets blamed for everything” and “we never heard his side of the story“.
Her tweet was attacked by Christians and she was also attacked personally so she addressed that in a thread.
She tweeted as follow up,
So I made this tweet a few days back about Satan & how we never heard his side of the story and religious folks came for my head.
You all are a bunch of hypocrites.
You like to talk big on forgiveness and all but which one of you have ever knelt down to say a prayer for Satan?
She continued,
You admit we are all sinners & pride yourselves on how your faith preaches forgiveness but which one of you ever thought, “gee, this guy might deserve forgiveness”.
Never in 21 centuries has anyone one ever had the compassion to pray for the one sinner that needed it most.
In new reports, another two-storey building has collapsed in the Gbagada area of Lagos state.
The building, located on 24 Adio Street, near New Garage Bus stop, Gbagada, was said to have partially collapsed in the early hours of today, August 1st.
Men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority LASEMA are currently on ground and are rescuing those trapped in the rubbles.
A surveillance footage released by Arizona prosecutors shows the moment some brave convenience store customers attacked a gunman who had taken them hostage in an Arizona store.
The gunman had gained entrance into the Circle K in Arizona then pointed a gun at shoppers and took them hostage in the store – this led to a standoff between the gunman and uniformed officers outside the store.
At some point, one of the hostages in a yellow shirt is seen lunging at the gunman and tackling him to wrestle the gun from him. Others became emboldened by this and joined in the attack on the gunman.
The group eventually succeeded in fleeing the store and the standoff ended when SWAT officers barged into the store and shot the gunman, leaving him wounded.
One person was fatally shot by the gunman before the situation was brought under control.
An airport cab driver, Adeniyi Olayinka is being celebrated for returning a huge sum forgotten in his cab to the owner.
Adeniyi Olayinka, who is in his late 30s, is a driver who works at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) taxi park in Lagos.
The driver, who doesn’t have a car of his own, but works as a commissioned driver to a member of the Airport Car Hire Association of Nigeria (ACHAN), found an envelope forgotten by a passenger in the backseat of his cab.
He had met the passenger, Dele Ayeni, at about 1:30 am on Monday, July 29, shortly after the latter arrived from Cairo, Egypt. Olayinka drove Dele from the airport to his destination at Ibese, Ikorodu. However, upon returning to the airport, he noticed an envelope belonging to Dele sitting in the backseat. The contents of the envelope were 2,400 US Dollars (888,000 Naira) and an international passport.
The following morning, Olayinka set out for Ikorodu to return the money to the Dele Ayeni. Coincidentally, at the same time, Mr Ayeni had set out to the airport in search of Olayinka. When Olayinka got to Ayeni’s home, he was told that Ayeni was already at the airport in search of his money. The money was soon safely returned to the owner.
The honest airport driver was celebrated yesterday, July 31, for his actions. The driver said though he’s poor, he would never consider keeping what doesn’t belong to him.
“It would put another family in sorrow and it is against the orientation given to every member of ACHAN at the airport,” Olayinka said.

Africa’s richest man and Nigerian philanthropist, Aliko Dangote has redeemed his pledge of $50,000 to the Super Eagles after coming third place in the 2019 edition of the African Cup of Nations.
It should be recalled that at the just-concluded 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt, Dangote and his billionaire friend, Femi Otedola pledged $75,000 together for every goal scored by the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the knockout stage of the tournament.

Senator Dino Melaye, the People’s Democratic Party’s Governorship aspirant in Kogi State shared his dream of becoming a President after the realization of his Governorship ambition in a meeting with party excos at the party secretariat in Lokoja.
The Senator representing Kogi West Constituency also presented his blueprint comprising his mission and vision for the state when he visited the NUJ press center on Wednesday July 31.
Dino Melaye stated that he was in the governorship race to build a ‘New Kogi’ and he also sees it as a stepping stone to his presidential ambition which will take off in 2027.
He said: “Kogi State is not witnessing democracy, what we are witnessing is government of the greedy, by the greedy and for the greedy; best put as ‘greedocracy’.
“But when I come on board as governor, I shall build a new Kogi State where ideas will revolutionise the state.
“My administration will banish hunger from the state. Kogi has no business to be poor. I shall look into agriculture and technology to turn around the economic fortune of the state.”
“I have no father, uncle, in-law or godfathers to pilot my ambition, but I have the requisite requirements to face the APC candidate in the election.
“I fear no body, I only respect human beings. I have been arrested 18 times within the last three years and I have 12 cases in court, but I’m still standing. I have what it takes to face and rescue the state from Yahaya Bello,” he added.
The Ogun State police command has arrested a 23-year-old woman Eniola Shittu alongside her 31-year-old boyfriend David Peremobowe, who she filmed raping her female friend at his residence in Ikopa-Tuntun Abiola Way in Abeokuta.
The victim was drugged and raped after being lured into Eniola’s boyfriend room. DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer said the suspects were arrested after the victim lodged a complaint at the Obantoko Police Division.
The victim reportedly said she got a WhatsApp message around 1.45pm from Eniola on July 24 2019, and she told her to buy food and skushis (a street cocktail made from cannabis leaves mixed with alcohol, milk and sugar, among others) which she brought to her boyfriend’s house.
“On getting there, the boyfriend, Peremobowe, offered her a bottle of beer, which she took.
“Immediately she finished taking the beer, she became very weak as a result of which Peremobowe unlawfully had carnal knowledge of her, and while he was at it, her friend, Shittu, used her phone to film how she was being raped.
“On the strength of her complaint, the DPO, Obantoko Division, SP Olasunkanmi Popoola, detailed his detectives to the house, where Peremobowe and his girlfriend, Shitu, were arrested.
“The Gionee handset with which the footage was recorded was also recovered” he added.
The suspects have been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Popular Russian Instagram influencer Ekaterina Karaglanova was found dead with her throat slit inside a suitcase in her Moscow apartment on Friday.
Investigations into her death has now uncovered CCTV footage of a man wearing a hat and hand gloves, going into her flat and exiting with a suitcase.
The 24-year-old, who is a recent medical school graduate, had over 85,000 followers on Instagram prior to her death.
Ekaterina Karaglanova, also known as Ekaterina Semochkina, loved the glamorous life and was known for her luxurious travel posts, where she posed in locations such as Italy, Austria, Spain, and Corfu in Greece. She had been planning a trip to the Netherlands to celebrate her 25th birthday with her 52-year-old boyfriend and family before she was killed.
When her parents didn’t hear from her and she didn’t respond to them for several days, they grew concerned and contacted her landlord to gain access to her apartment. Once inside, her parents found her body inside a suitcase with her throat slit. She was wearing only a suspender belt .
According to police reports, there was no sign that Karaglanova struggled before her death and no weapon was found at the crime scene.
Investigators are currently looking into the case, citing jealousy from a former boyfriend as a possible motive.
It has now emerged that she was being blackmailed over nude pictures which had been sent to her university classmates, according to a friend. Investigators say that she had worked as an escort to pay her way through her medical studies and that the explicit photos were linked to this.
CCTV footage shows a man entering and later leaving the flat where Karaglanova was found dead and investigators are checking if the man is a “jealous former lover”.
Russian channel REN TV obtained the CCTV footage. In it, the man is seen entering the block of flats with his face hidden by a cap. Four hours later the man left with a smaller suitcase and it is believed that he removed her bloodstained clothes and a weapon used to slit her throat and stab her twice in the chest.
The man shown was wearing gloves despite it being 27C outside on Friday when police say she was killed.
Detectives described the crime scene at Ekaterina’s flat as spotlessly clean with no traces of blood and say there were no signs of a fight.
One theory is that the killer had put her corpse in a suitcase intending to remove her body from the flat but then realised he might raise suspicions. He then decided only to remove her bloodstained clothes and the murder weapon.
A friend called Oksana told Komsomolskaya Pravda (KP) newspaper that Ekaterina was receiving threats.
The friend said: “She wrote that she could be killed. But I was comforting her, [telling her] that they would do nothing to her. I cannot believe that Katya [Ekaterina] not here any more.”
Another friend named Nina said she was being blackmailed by “unknown people” over naked pictures, according to KP . Threats were coming from “dodgy” accounts on a Russian social media network, she said.
“They were saying she was a prostitute.”
Committee official Yulia Ivanova said an investigation was underway to “establish all the circumstances of the committed crime and at detaining the person involved in it”.
Ekaterina had been a beauty pageant contestant in Moscow as well as qualifying from the prestigious Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University. She had started working as a medic in a hospital in the city after she graduated as a doctor specialising in dermatology.

An eight-year-old girl now lies critically ill in hospital in the Adamawa State capital, Yola, after her father cut into her throat with a kitchen knife.
The father who is believed to be suffering a psychological problem after a long time of drug abuse said upon being asked by neighbours why he turned against his daughter, that he just felt like doing it.
The story broke Wednesday afternoon when one of the people at the Yola town neighbourhood where the incident took place, complained on her Facebook page that they took the girl to the hospital and they were having difficulty in getting a doctor to attend to her.
Our correspondent who was one of the newsmen who mobilised to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yola, however, found that the girl had already been stabilised and admitted at the emergency unit of the hospital.
On interaction with neighbours, our correspondent gathered that the father acquired some wealth from cattle trading and even went for the Muslim pilgrimage last year, but that he started taking drugs at some point, as a result of which his mental balance and business fortunes declined rapidly.
“His wife became really worried when the man began to threaten that he would slaughter members of the family one by one,” one of the neighbours, Maryam Umar, said, adding that the man’s wife, Fadimatu, responded by taking all the kitchen knives away.
She could not say where the man, Seidu Dan Iya, got the knife with which he sliced the throat of his daughter who now lies between life and death.
The doctor who attended to little Zarau Seidu, Elkannah Patrick, said the girl has a 50-50 chance of survival.
The ENT doctor told newsmen that he had cleaned up the site of the cut and would now source the right tool for a more comprehensive surgery, and reiterated that the girl had half a chance to live.
“We cannot determine yet if there is infection. We hope there is none because infection will seriously imperil her chances of survival,” he said.
The Head of Clinical Services of the FMC, Yola, Dr Yerima Suleiman Yusuf, said the hospital would treat little Zarau free of charge.
He said, “We have a Paupers’ Fund from which we will treat this patient because we realize that the mother is not ready and the father is a psychiatric case.”
The man is currently with the police, giving the Adamawa State Police Command the second psychiatric case in less than two weeks following the case in Mubi last week of a man who killed his wife and reported that he thought he was fighting a stranger.
A rare bee – the osmia avosetta species – that arrived in the UK from Turkey in someone’s luggage, has escaped after sentenced to death and it’s now wanted.
The bee, which poses a very serious threat to the UK bee population, had been due to be destroyed by Defra, but it has now vanished.
It had built cocoons out of flower petals in the conservatory of the Toy family when they returned from Dalaman. The cocoons that it built are due to be taken away today and destroyed by the The Animal and Plant Health Agency.
British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) says the bee could have a ‘devastating effect’ on British bees and endanger them by spreading deadly viruses, or multiply and eventually out compete British bees.
An APHA spokesperson said: ‘We remain vigilant, working closely with the National Bee Unit and their nationwide network of bee inspectors to monitor the situation.’

The CCTV footage showing some robbers breaking into a parked car and carting away with the valuables of the owner, has surfaced online.
According to the details on the video, the incident happened yesterday Tuesday, July 30th.
The voices behind video said that the robbers mixed salt and saliva to crack the glass of the car and then gained access to steal the valuables inside.

Some people, known as “internet trolls”, have made false reports about me claiming to be Jesus, Jesus’ second coming starting in Kenya, me being found and worshipped in churches, and me being deported with pastors from the country, all of which are “fake news. ”
I have gotten many messages and just wanted to let you know I am still here in Kenya, preaching in schools, hundreds of children are making decisions for Jesus every day. This morning many students surrendered their lives to Jesus, and we are going to the next school right now. Thank you for praying for us, also please do not pay any attention to the “fake news” or any attention to the media publications of which posted these things. May the Lord abundantly bless you!

On Monday, he shared photos of his visit to Kenya with the caption: “I truly praise God for these awesome men and women of God of whom have served Jesus with all their heart. God has used them powerfully and they have been such a huge blessing in my life this past week. Thank you so much for blessing my life!”
He resides in Orlando, Florida. According to the BBC, he has been playing Jesus at The Holy Land Experience theme park, which describes itself as “a living, biblical museum.”
