The young man was seen with Davido’s daughter at the birthday party as the pair embraced each other as great friends.
His mom later took him and his friends to an undisclosed cinema to watch the new Beyonce’s motion picture, Lion King.

Speed Darlington has revealed why he’s not featured on Beyonce’s new album The Lion King: The Gift which was released few days ago.
The album features several African stars like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Tekno and Shatta Wale.
One curious fan of Speed Darlington queried the comic rapper on why he’s not featured on the album. In his response, Speed Darlington stated that he doesn’t “kiss a**. I come from a pride tribe. We all know who mop floor with their body”.

Yesterday, Nollywood actor and politician, Desmond Elliot came under serious criticism after he called for the ban of foreign movies in Nigeria.
The 45-year-old representing Surulere constituency at the Lagos State house of assembly said the ban will spike a growth in the Nollywood Industry.
According to him, just like rice, the Federal Government should make it difficult for foreign content to come into the country so that local content from Nigeria can grow. (Read HERE)

An eight-year-old girl Aisha Sani, who was kidnapped two weeks ago in Tudunwada quarters of Kano State by unknown lady, has been found dead.
According to reports, Aisha, who was abducted when she closed from an Islamiyya School with her siblings, was taken away by another lady who covered her face with veil. The suspected kidnapper and her gang members reached out to Aisha’s parents one week later, demanding N200 million ransom.
The kidnappers further requested that the ransom should be given to her mother who would now take the money to them. Sadly, after two weeks of intensified search and investigations by the police, little Aisha’s corpse was found on Monday. She was hacked to death by her kidnappers.
Her parents have taken custody of her body for burial.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is set to reward one of its personnel, Aircraftman (ACM) Bashir Umar, who found and returned the sum of 37,000 Euros to Alhaji Ahmad, the owner of the lost money.
The incident occured at the Hajj Camp Market in Kano on Tuesday 16 July 2019, when ACM Bashir, who is a member of the NAF Mobile Air Defence Team (#MADT) deployed for airport security duties, while on routine patrol with some of his colleagues, found the money in a parcel.
Fortunately, there was a phone number on the parcel which he called, and eventually handed over the package to the owner.
Consequently, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has directed the Chief of Administration at the Headquarters NAF, Air Vice Marshal Kingsley Lar, to immediately come up with modalities to reward the Umar so as to encourage others.

As a reward for constantly flouting Biggie’s rules, the whole House is up for Nominations this week and at least one Housemate will be Evicted on Sunday during the Live Eviction show. (Yes, the fake Evicted Housemates are not left out).
Internet comedian, Ebiye Victor is being dragged after he made a tasteless joke to color-shame actress Lupita Nyong’o.
Ebiye shared a photo of himself with black paint on his face and included a highly disrespectful caption.

The General Officer Commanding the 7 Division, Major General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu says that repentant Boko Haram terrorists can end up becoming the president of Nigeria.
Major General Biu who dropped this statement during an interview with newsmen in Maiduguri on Sunday, called on Boko Haram fighters to surrender unconditionally and further pointed out the benefits of surrendering which include leadership opportunities.
He said,
“Boko Haram should lay their arms unconditionally and be accepted. Opportunities are out there for them, they can be rehabilitated.
“An ex Boko Haram having laid his arms and turned away from his negativity, stands to be a president of this country; he stands to aspire to any position in this country.
“Why is he wasting his time when he cannot even deliver?

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) otherwise known as the Shiites group has alleged that 11 of its members were killed in a clash with the police in Abuja on July 22nd.
It also claimed that 30 others were injured in the fracas – it stated that out of those injured, the police went to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital in Gwagwalada and took them to an unknown place.
The figures were contained in an update by the President of the Media Forum of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim Musa.
The statement read,
“Abuja today (on Monday) yet again witnessed one of the worst cases of blatant trampling of the rights of citizens ever seen in the Federal Capital, when joint security forces consisting of both uniformed men and officers of the Nigerian Police Force and others in mufti, unleashed their fury on a Free Zakzaky protest by members of the Islamic Movement.
“The procession, attended by several thousands of persons, including very young children, the aged, women and the physically challenged, met with an extreme rage indicative of deep seated animosity the Nigerian authorities bear for the Movement.
“What actually happened was that the protesters started the procession from NITEL junction and on getting to federal secretariat the police cordoned off the road and started firing at them.
A lot of people have been shot but for now we can only confirm 11 deaths, but several are injured, the figure for now stood at 30. Though we are aware of the fact that the security agents have been going around taking off those they killed from the streets.
“Even some seriously injured persons that were taken to Abuja University teaching Hospital Gwagwalada; the police went there and took away about 11 people they shot during the protest. We strongly dispute the claim by the police that the protesters shot at them because throughout our processions we have not been carrying any arms right from 2015 to date.
It was also the police who shot at the Reporter of Channels TV, another indication that many innocent people were shot at by the police, including some of their own. In this era of social media the brutality displayed by the police today has been captured with some pictures showing the police setting up the bonfires and there are videos that captured the police carting away their victims”.

The burial service for late Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, who is the daughter of the leader of Pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, was held at the St. David’s Anglican Church Ijomu, in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Monday, July 22nd.
In attendance were Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, his counterparts from Ogun, Lagos, Ekiti and Oyo, Prince Dapo Abiodun; Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko and other dignitaries.
Olakunrin was shot and killed by armed bandits along the Benin-Ore Road on Friday July 12th. Aged 58, she is survived by her aged father, husband Idowu Olakunrin, children and grandchildren.

Big Brother Naija Reality TV Show has kept viewers talking and a lady who was agitated by the twist and trick this past Sunday took to social media to vent.
The lady frowned at the decision of Big Brother to fake evict Tacha and Seyi then proceeding to place them in a secret room for a couple of days (unknown to the remaining housemates). The lady called the action a “Preferential Treatment” which is not fair to the other housemates.

Channels TV has been thrown into mourning after the sad event of the protest in Abuja today left a corps member working as a reporter for the station dead.
A Channels TV reporter, Precious Owolabi, who was hit by a stray bullet on Monday in Abuja during a violent clash between the members of Shiite and police has been confirmed dead by the station.
The 23-year-old died of a gunshot wound he sustained while covering the clash between the police and the Shiite protesters on Monday in Abuja.
The news was confirmed during the News At 10 by the station. May his soul rest in peace.
A Deputy Commissioner of police in charge of Operations at the Abuja Police Command, DCP Umar, has lost his life in the cross fire between police officers and protesting members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria widely known as Shi’ites in Abuja earlier today.
The protesting Shi;ites members also fired gun shots at a Channels Television bus. A reporter with the channels who was in the bus was hit by a bullet in his stomach. He is currently being treated at an undisclosed hospital.
Umar was reportedly shot dead while trying to calm the fraying nerves of the Shi’ites who had disrupted activities at the Central Business Disrict in Abuja. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.

Barely 48-hours after the manner in which a police invitation was served to Timi Dakolo and his wife, Busola led to another stint of outrage on social media, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered that petitions from Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, and that of the Dakolos, be merged and investigated at the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Mr Femi Falana, counsel to the Dakolos confirmed report of the case transfer and according to him, this was because the singer’s family were the first to petition the police.
Punch reported that he further assured that justice will be served.
This is coming after it was reported that Timi Dakolo alleged that the letter of ‘invitation for questioning’ he was served over the weekend, came after Pastor Fatoyinbo allegedly bribed investigating officials to delay summons, and also pushed for the case to be transferred to Abuja.

Last night, during the Big Brother Naija Live eviction show, host Ebuka-Uchendu announced the eviction of Tacha.
Ebuka’s announcement prompted a surprised reaction from the housemates immediately after the supposed eviction a ‘non- fan’ of Tacha began to celebrate wildly, thinking it was a real eviction.
