19 year old Obi of Ubulu-Uku kingdom in Delta state, Obi Chukwuka Noah Ofulue has graduated from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom today, Tuesday July 16th, 2019.
The monarch said to not be the youngest in history of the state, bagged a degree in Law at the school’s convocation ceremony which was attended by his family.
Although, Obi Akaeze I is described to currently be the youngest monarch in the country – he was installed as King in February 2016 following the death of his father, Obi Akaeze Edward Ofulue III who was kidnapped and subsequently murdered in January of the same year.
His father, Late Akaeze Edward Ofulue III was kidnapped on 5 January 2016 along Igbodo-Obior road in Delta State for a ransom of N100 million.
His decomposed body was discovered at Umunede, Ika North East LG 15 days later. There are speculations that suspected Fulani herdsmen murdered him.
Following the report of a building that collapsed in the Plateau capital recently, a rescue team comprising of the Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Nigerian Red Cross and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corpse (NSCDC) on Tuesday recovered 12 bodies from the rubles of the residential house in Jos.
The combined effort of the team had on Monday evening recovered 4 bodies – on the resumption of the search-and-rescue on Tuesday morning, the team discovered six more bodies including those of the owner of the three-storey apartment Alhaji Kabiru Nalele popularly known as ‘Sariki’ (King) within the environment.
The owner of the apartment visited as usual when the building collapsed killing him, his two wives and nine others. It was learnt the three-storey apartment’s ground floor was used as shops while the two floors were used as residential.
The ground floor contained a pharmaceutical store that deals with retail and wholesale drugs.
Junni Bala, Director of Search and Rescue, Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) said: “The two-storey building located at Butcher Line, Dilimi in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State fell at about 6pm local time trapping many.
“Rescuers recovered four corpses on Monday night from the rubble before discovering six others on Tuesday. Four other people were critically injured in the disaster”

When people talk about running away from friends like me, i’m amused, but i doubt Tonto Dike will ever have a friend like me. I refused to discuss my issue with Tonto because I wanted to be matured about it. I think there is need to clarify issues for concerned parties.
A year ago I posted a picture of my meal on my DM and Tonto commented about coming to eat and also added she would like us to talk about doing business together. I responded to the Dm by saying it’s fine. Hours later, Tonto drove in with a friend and we had lunch. She made mention of her doing an empowerment program which they needed money, but because the event was close and in two days, i was only able to raise 500k which was the only funds used for the event.
Till date,Tonto has not empowered the graduating students. Tonto also told me she needed money for rent because of the pressure she was getting from the facility management, I had to introduce her to someone who helped in sorting the rent and the person was constantly giving her millions of Naira.
Tonto never had food in her house for herself and workers asides her son’s food. I made sure that we constantly sent food to her house and never allowed her to cry as she was always depressed. I was a friend that left my car for Tonto because she never had a good car to befit a celebrity as she claims.
Please ask Tonto if she had ever used her money anytime we were out together? She will always bring up excuses like…” I forgot my ATM or my PA didn’t come out with my ATM. I knew she didn’t have cash and I was always willing to cover her up. Most times when she goes for an event, she will invite all the media houses but will never have any money at hand to pay. At the end of the day, She will move to my restaurant and will ask me to help her pay which I’ll eventually pay
Now fast forward to her SA invitation. She had a church invitation but didn’t have funds for the trip, I personally took Tonto to church, prayed with her for God to have mercy and turn around things. I personally paid in 4m to her account (i have proof) to facilitate the trip cause it was prayers answered. On reaching the embassy, Tonto was not with her Visa fee.
I knew she didn’t have the funds, I paid visa fee for 4 of us meant for the trip and also paid for the VIP lounge which she was not allowed to enter without payment. Prior to this, Tonto borrowed 300k from me which she never paid until we got to SA.
I personally brought my designer bags, cloths, Jewelries for Tonto to use for the event. After the event, she started giving me attitude just because she never wanted to share any money with me. (take note it was a church event and nothing else) I was never upset with her cause money doesn’t matter at all to me. Tonto is a very pleasant person anytime she wants something from you.
After all Tonto did to me, guess what? she went ahead to blackmail me and my restaurant. The same restaurant she was eating from. She went to all the ladies in Abuja including the one that had a restaurant to promote them and also say negative things about my person.
Tonto was basically looking for all my enemies to make friends with. I did not complain?
So why is she and some people upset because i am friends with Churchill? I can never inherit Tonto’s enemies because i know she’s not a good person. While we were friends, I know Tonto has a lot of fake account which she uses online to insult people she has issues with. I read comments of people online saying i am bad, that i am jealous of Tonto and also sleeping with Churchill!

An Elderly Malaysian woman is currently nursing serious injuries to her face after she was allegedly assaulted by her grand daughter’s husband for not stopping his 8-month-old daughter from crying.
Jasin District police chief Deputy Superintendent Arshad Abu said the victim suffered injuries to her forehead and bruises to both eyes in the 6am incident on Monday.
He said the victim was being treated at Jasin Hospital and would be referred to Melaka Hospital to be checked by an eye specialist, adding that she was at risk of losing her eyesight due to the seriousness of her injuries.
“Initial investigations found that before the incident, the victim’s granddaughter was in the room, and the baby was crying in the living room. The suspect then used abusive words and alleged that the victim was not taking care of the baby before hitting her until she fell. Soon after assaulting her, the suspect fled with his wife and child,” he said.
The suspect, who did not have a permanent job, and his wife had been staying with the victim since they were married. Their expenses were fully borne by the victim who worked as a cook at an Islamic school canteen for RM250 monthly salary.
The police detained the 24-year-old suspect in Bachang at 11pm the same day, adding that he tested positive for drug abuse.
The suspect had a criminal record for two previous drug offences, he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

President Buhari has sent a message to his critics, after he being lambasted for allegedly having a loss of nerve or confidence in tackling the widespread security challenge in the country.
Receiving the National Executives of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, BCO, at the Presidential Villa Abuja, the President said that those criticizing the isolated cases of insecurity in the country were not patriotic Nigerians.
The President claimed the critics were unpatriotic, by pointing out that countries around the world are facing one security challenge or the other.
This is coming barely a day after former President, Olusegun Obasanjo in his open letter to President Buhari, alleged that the widespread insecurity in the country is “eroding the root of our Nigerian community.”
He also accused President Buhari of “poor management or mismanagement of diversity” which he said led to a “very onerous cloud that is gathering”.

The Supreme Court today, Tuesday July 16th, dismissed the two suits filed by billionaire businessman and husband of actress Regina Daniels, Ned Nwoko, challenging the election of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi as the PDP candidate representing Delta North district in the October 2nd 2018 primary of the party held in Delta.
The five-man panel of justices led by Justice Inyang Okoro, dismissed the suit for lack of jurisdiction. The Federal High Court in Abuja had in April declared Ned Nwoko as the true candidate of the PDP for the February 23, 2019 National Assembly election.
However on April 3rd, the Court of Appeal in Abuja reversed the High court’s ruling which sacked Senator Nwaoboshi as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Delta North Senatorial seat.
Ned Nwoko then filed a motion at the Supreme Court to challenge the decision of the Appeal Court, but has now lost the case.

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Monday, released details of his assets contained in the Code of Conduct Bureau 1 declared at the High Court of Oyo State on May 28, 2019, indicating that he was worth about N50bn in assets at that time.
According to details of the asset form, the governor had cash at hand and in the bank worth N234, 742, 296.01. In dollar terms, he has cash valued at $30,056.99 as at May 28, 2019.
Properties, including the developed and undeveloped as well as household items indicated on the asset forms, showed that the governor is worth N2, 624,800,500.
The governor also declared properties, developed and undeveloped as well as household items valued at $4,400,000.
He also declared buildings and household items worth four million, four hundred and fifty-seven thousand, five hundred and fifty-four and four South African Rands.
The houses declared by the governor include nine buildings in Nigeria, two in the United States of America and one in South Africa.
The details showed the current value of Makinde’s companies stand at N48, 150,736,889, with 33, 730,000 units of shares as of May 28, 2019.
Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has shared her regrets about her years as a student, and it is about not being serious with her education.
The lovely mother of one in an interview with Joy FM, shared how she had little time for her books after getting a spot in the entertainment industry.
She explained the challenges she faced in making out time to re-sit for some papers, after she failed her Senior High School (SHS) examination.
“I would go on stage every Saturday in SHS. I had to rewrite some papers. I was so into entertainment that I didn’t take my schooling serious. You can easily mess up and not make it to university. I regret not paying attention to my books so when I see kids of today, I tell them to pay attention to their books,” she said.
Yvonne Nelson also stressed the need to climb the educational ladder, regardless of career path.
“I was in Central University. And it wasn’t easy mixing sets with classes. I had to make up my mind. It was tough. Nigerian producers were giving me juicy offers and I was torn between accepting the offers or not. But, I had to focus on school and I was so happy to have graduated, I didn’t want to defer,” she added.

A Nigerian man has talked on the issue of provocation to the extent of assault in relationships as he advises women who are being beaten by their partners.
Wayne Michaels in a post shared on Facebook, said women are capable of extreme provocation and further advised that they shouldn’t provoke a man ‘wild enough’ to beat them.
He however added that when a man beats a woman, she needs to understand that he is correcting her for something she did wrong.

There is also another category who wouldn’t do what they’re advising you to do if and when in your case but so much relish the fun of bad marriage stories popping up on facebook everyday for entertainment… Sadly, you wouldn’t know until the deed is done..
In a weekend interview with Saturday Sun Newspapers, Dolly Nwaduba, actress, writer and producer, shared with Inside Nollywood her unforgettable heartbreak which almost led her into depression.
She shared how she was at the verge of doing extreme things to her ex because he broke her heart but the fear of going to prison restrained her.
“One Wish is an unconventional love story I wrote last year after a very bad breakup.
I was really depressed and had a lot of messed up thoughts in my head, but for the fear of going to prison, I had to restrain myself from going to the extreme.
So, I did what every great writer would do. I poured out my thoughts on the pages of my book, and being blessed as an actor, I carried out my evil plot of kidnapping my ex on his wedding day without fear of actually going to jail for it,” she said amidst laughter.
