President Muhammadu Buhari has described residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as a necessary evil he must protect despite not voting for him in the 2019 General Elections.
The President made this known today June 4th when FCT permanent secretary, Christian Ohaa, led a delegation of Abuja residence comprising religious leaders, National Assembly members, civil servants, service chiefs and heads of other security agencies among others to pay him Sallah homage to mark the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast.

In May, on Mothers Day, Iyabo Ojo shared a video of herself weeping as she took out time to speak on the challenges she’s faced before she finally made it to the limelight of the movie industry in Nigeria.
The Actress recounted her story from when the problem between her and her husband started till when she actually gave birth to her first son and second daughter out of abstract penury.
She said she gave birth to her first child in church and her second in her room due to the poverty that once visited her and her household.
All these and others were the confessions the actress made in her revelation she made in her viral video aimed at celebrating all mothers from all works of life for their struggle towards ensuring a better life for their children; to commemorate the world’s mother’s day.

In the video, she claimed that her husband abandoned her on their wedding night, telling her that he never loved her but married her because of her first pregnancy. Apparently, it has now been discovered that the actress allegedly sold a lie to millions of her fans. Kemiashefonlovehaven reports.
“She was never married to Mr Ojo. They had two kids—Festus and Priscy but there was no wedding. Nothing binds Iyabo and Ojo together legally,” angry friends of Iyabo Ojo’s estranged husband revealed exclusively to Kemi Ashefon.

“When Iyabo Ojo was a student of the Lagos State Polytechnic, which had its temporary site in Isolo, the one close to the Oba’s palace then, she would always come to Ojo’s shop.
Then, he was a stark illiterate carpenter and could not utter a word in English. But he was tall and good-looking. She was coming to his carpenter’s shed and before we knew it, she got pregnant for him. Her parents and siblings were against this but she stood her ground and moved in with him.
He never wanted her but she threw herself at him. There was no wedding. Where would Ojo have gotten money to have a wedding? Which wedding night was she referring to in her ‘weeping video’? Tell her to produce their wedding photos if she insists on a wedding night,” Ojo’s friends said.

However, Iyabo mentioned in some interviews she had some years ago that she catered for her children without any contributions from their father.
“Which contributions? Though Ojo had nothing as a carpenter, the little he made from his business, he gave to her and the kids. Moreso, Iyabo was getting proceeds from her grandfather’s estate, so the situation wasn’t as bad as she painted it. In fact, when her grandfather died, some years ago, she got N11m as her share of the estate. It’s a lie that she gave birth to Priscy at home. She should tell the truth and stop embarrassing Ojo, who ended up with a lady who is more educated than he was. They had quarrels and she would abuse him in the English language. Of course, this infuriated him and he would be asking his friends what she meant with the ‘big words’ she hurled at him.
“She was in love with him and refused to leave him. But when Iyabo got the money bequeathed to her, everything changed. She squandered some of it and in a day, she bought five cars—a Toyota starlet, Opel Omega, Mazda and two other cars. She also opened a boutique and sold ladies’ wear. There was a time robbers attacked her and collected part of the money.
“By the time the money remained N1m, she was advised to invest in the movie industry. Iyabo became interested in Theatre Arts and joined Yinka Quadri/Ogogo caucus. There were many allegations of infidelity from Mr. Ojo then, and there was a time she left him and moved in with an actor, whose family, including their mother, are all involved in film-making. The actor is short, could barely speak English and must have stuck with her because of the money.
So, she abandoned Ojo and stayed with the actor. That didn’t last long because it was obvious the man wasn’t going to marry her because he allegedly instructed her to abort pregnancies she had for him,” sources revealed.
The kids—Festus and Priscy—who were reunited with their father in July 2018 after a six-year separation must have been happy.
“Well, Ojo was lucky to have travelled abroad and he is now a US citizen. He’s our friend and we can tell you that he was treated shabbily by Iyabo. She has been granting interviews and saying all sorts because she knows the man does not have the guts to grant an interview and speak in English fluently like her. But she has forgotten that he has friends who can speak to the media.
“Ask her why her children cannot be US citizens when their father has a Green Card already? He is so pained at how she has treated him that he has vowed not to file in for the kids. President Buhari has said that the sacrifices Nigerians made in voting him again into office during the 2019 general election, will never be in vain.
The President gave Nigerians this re-assurance in his special Sallah message to celebrate the end of the Ramadan fast.
In a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President said before the 2019 elections, prophets of doom had predicted that the elections will not be peaceful. However, despite their predictions, Nigerians came out enmass to vote for him. He pledged to ensure that the voters feel the positive impact of his administration.

“Before the 2019 general elections, prophets of doom did not give the country a chance to conduct peaceful elections. Despite these fears, the country overcame its political challenges. A Nigerian Lady has been engaged to the love of her life after dating for about 10 months.

A Colombian woman who allegedly wanted to check if her neighbor was home ended up getting her head stuck in the front door metal grate for five hours.
Photos of an unnamed woman from the town of La Virginia, in Colombia, recently went viral on social media after it was reported that she had to be rescued after spending five hours with her head stuck in a neighbor’s front door metal grate.
It’s not clear if the woman intended to spy on her neighbor, or if she merely stuck her head through the grate to see if there was anyone home, but one thing’s for sure – when she tried to pull her head back through the grate, she realized she wasn’t going anywhere.
Luckily, someone heard her cries for help and called the police. They couldn’t pry her head from the gate, though, so they called the fire department for assistance.
It still took five hours to release the woman from the metal trap she put herself in.
Photos of smiling policemen and firemen working to free the woman have been doing the rounds on Latino social media since May 19, when the story was first reported by Radio La Roca FM.
Some internet users are mocking a new bride and her groom after photos of their traditional wedding were shared on Facebook.
The new bride, Toochi Ikpozu took to the platform to share photos from her traditional wedding ceremony, but instead of receiving congratulatory messages, she got more than what she bargained for, with many attacking her makeup.

A police officer in the Abia state police command has been accused of extrajudicial killing of a young Nigerian man, identified as Christian Onuoha.
Twitter user simply identified as Amaka in a series of tweets, said the police officer identified as Collins Akpugo, allegedly shot the victim, Christian Onuoha, dead along the Okwulaga Afara-Ukwu, Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia state.

Comedian, Alibaba has come up with a brilliant ‘solution’ to the persistent traffic problem in Lagos State.
The veteran comedian who spent 3-hours in traffic yesterday took to Instagram to share his idea.

Spent 3 hours today… and came to the conclusion again, that we are the cause of our problems. After the #tdwcafrica2019 at Landmark, I was on the road linking Ligali, going back to my office and noticed there was a gridlock.
My driver said it will soon clear. When soon turned to 35 minutes, I came down and walked through the vehicles to see the cause of the HOLD UP was.
4 lanes coming from Ligali towards Landmark and 5 lanes filtering onto the end of Ligali. Plus traffic from 3 streets pouring into the same road. The little spaces inbetween cars were all taken over by okada riders. While the spaces wider than those okadas could squeeze through had been pegged close by keke Napep.
Managed to merge 4 lanes to 2 and 3 lanes in the opposite direction, to form 1 lane, just to decongest the gridlock. Worked. And after 2 hours, decorum had resumed.
Hmmm.
A thought hit me. If @jidesanwoolu wants to make extra N200b to develop Lagos, he should just invest in CCTVs at major and busy junctions. With STOP signs to boot. Borrow money fix the roads and drainages. Then set up a system that will get drivers and vehicles to be linked together. When you are caught on tape, beating the traffic lights or breaking traffic laws, you will just get the alert that the payment has been deducted from your account.
To make this work, each car will have its registration number linked to the BVN of the owner. No need to set up any other means of collecting the money. And if you sell the car, you must go to the licensing office to change the BVN. Failure to do that means whoever drives the car and commits an offence, will not be debited. The original owner pays.
If it’s a military vehicle, the debit comes from the military account. Same with corporate bodies. Individuals too. You can imagine Oga is sitting at home, in Ikoyi, and he gets a debit alert for traffic infractions in Lekki PHASE 1, N45,000. How? He will call the driver or whoever is with the car. Kilode? “I beat red lights sir”. Just sack yourself.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arraigned the registered trustee of Micheno Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, Mr. Uno Michael Eke before Justice Simon Amobeda of the Federal High Court, sitting in Calabar, Cross River State, on a separate 74-count charge, for allegedly obtaining over N320 million (Three Hundred and Twenty Million) by false pretence from innocent Nigerians.
Eke, allegedly scammed his victims through an alleged ponzi scheme by inducing his victims to invest in his Swissgolden packages, through his company, Micheno Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, under the false pretence of paying them 80 per cent return on investment within just 40 days.
With this enticing bait, Eke duped so many people through the scheme, and when his investors started calling for their capitals and expected interest, he vanished into thin air.
One of the charges against him reads: “That you, Uno Michael Eke (being the president/chief executive officer of Micheno Multi-purpose Cooperative Society) and registered trustees of Micheno Multi-purpose Cooperative Society (MMCS) on or about the 12th day of July, 2018 in Calabar within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, with intent to defraud, did obtain the sum of Forty-seven Million Naira (N47,000,000.00) from one Briggs Nimi Osim by inducing her to invest same into your Swissgolden packages through your Micheno Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Ltd, under the false pretence of paying her 80% as return on investment on her principal sum on the fortieth day of her investment, which pretence you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1 (1) (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the same Act”.
He pleaded not guilty on all charges. In view of his not guilty plea, the prosecution counsel, T. N. Ndifon, prayed the court for a trial date and for the accused person to be remanded in prison custody. The defendant was remanded in prison custody, while the matter was adjourned to June 13, 2019, for the hearing of the bail application.

Former IBF cruiserweight champion boxer, Glenn McCrory, has claimed Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight boxing career may be finished after the latter’s shocking loss to 29-year-old Andy Ruiz.

The news of the sudden death of a final year student of Obafemi Awolowo University simply known as Chinwedu went viral on Monday evening and has come as a shock to many.
Chinwedu died in a road accident on Monday evening.
Popularly known as Wendy, a final year student of Management and Accounting, OAU. She died in an accident at Mayfair, a busy bus-stop in Ile-Ife.

A fan of billionaire daughter, DJ Cuppy has taken to Twitter to advise her to go for teeth whitening cause he believes her teeth are not clean.
His advise came after DJ Cuppy shared a video which shows her lamenting after Arsenal lost to Chelsea in the Europa League final played in Baku Azerbaijan on Wednesday.
The guy took a screenshot of the singer and DJ crying and highlighted her teeth to show they are not clean.
He then went on to advice her to go for teeth whitening which shouldn’t cost more than a million which is within something she can afford.
He tweeted,” Dear DJ Cuppy, I don’t mean to be rude, but teeth whitening procedure can never cost up to 1million Naira. I’m sure it’ll even cost lesser abroad. You are a multimillionaire and a figure, you need the white teeth and you can afford it. Don’t be stingy please. Thanks. Love you.”
