Nollywood Actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has taken to her social media page to recount how her first daughter, Princess, cheated date and recovered from Brain damage.

Posting this lovely photo of Princess who turned a year older some days ago, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde shared one of her profound experiences as a mother.

She wrote ;

”She was barely a year,she started running a temperature,can’t remember how many hours anymore… she is our first child and we had not much experience. Gave her some medication didn’t seem to get better…suddenly,she slipped into what seemed to be a COMA.
I panicked,we all did… neighbors everyone screaming and suggesting all sorts…. she was clenching her teeth fiercely, an Old woman we knew in the neighborhood suggested to put a spoon and pour SALT into her mouth (Totally wrong move)”Pls cold shower”…

We rushed her to the hospital and at first, the doctors were a bit reluctant ( I guess they thought it was a lost case) however, almost without much hurry she was worked on and miraculously,she came back!
She had prior turned cold and was not responsive… hmm
We were told , it was “High fever” it had affected her brain and she could probably not develop normally or be able to catch up with her peers. Short of saying a vegetable…. As people of faith, we called on God, used proper medication and most importantly, applied extra lessons and treated her Normal as others.

At first it was challenging, as she grew, she struggled, mostly with her sight. She couldn’t see things right in front of her! Even in school , she would be put in front and still not see. A few changed schools,glasses,extra lessons …we kept pushing.

At every level Princess Worked Extremely hard,harder than others . Always trying to prove everyone wrong and pass.

Every time we feared or doubted, she passed with flying colors and moved to the Next phase! Miracles before our eyes… Today she not only finished well from Uni, she insists on going for her Masters and is conquering all her fears.

Yesterday, she drove with her dad without instructions back and forth in traffic all around v.i.
You might not really understand this but anyone whose been told they can’t achieve or do something especially for health reasons will understand.

This is the first time I am saying this in public and Many will be shocked,some might go,oh… now I understand… Princess, you’ve been an inspiration to Me without even knowing. May you inspire others too. God Continue to Bless you my #WCE”.

Veritas University suspends student for 3 weeks for noise making.

An unnamed undergraduate of Veritas University was suspended for making noise during mass. This was revealed in a letter passed to the erring student.

The student was suspended for three weeks. He was told to return alongside his parent when returning back to school.

On the letter which was tagged ; ALLEGED ACT OF MISCONDUCT,

It reads,

I write to inform you that the Vice-Chancellor has directed that you be suspended for making noise while mass was going on 30th March, 2019.

This act is inimical to or subversive of the integrity of the University and a violation of your matriculation oath.

You are hereby suspended from the University for 3 weeks starting from 2nd April, 2019.

On this note, you are not allowed to visit the Campus from the first day of your suspension without the express permission of the Vice-chancellor.

At the end of your suspension, you are to return with your Parents/Guardians.

OAP apologizes to Chidinma after he claimed Kizz Daniel’s ‘Fvck you’ song was for her..

Yesterday, City FM On Air Personality, Benny Ark stated categorically that Kizz Daniel’s song, “Fvck You” was about Chidinma after she kept ‘hoeing’ around.

Immediately after his statement was aired, and the video made viral on Social Media, Chidinma, through her Lawyer, Ayo Shonaiya, wrote to the Radio Station, Demanding for an apology and asking for a retraction of the defamatory statement.

Ayo Shonaiya had tweeted;

‘This is just a Notice to the station and the OAP to retract his comments and apologise to Chidinma because those statements are false and defamatory. It is their next move or how they respond that will decide our next move’.

In the defamatory statement, Benny Ark had mentioned that the song had so many emotional lyrics, and he was made to draw a conclusion that the singer was referring to Chidinma, since the duo reportedly dated sometimes around 2018.

He however tendered a pubic apology to the singer and other people affected, during his show today.

“Tattoo and dreadlock is strange to our culture” – Lagos police command spokesperson

The Lagos state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, has said that Tattoos and Dreadlocks are strange to our culture and is part of the reason why most people who rock them are being harassed by law enforcement agents.

In an interview with BBC pidgin, Bala who condemned the recent killing of a football fan, Kolade Johnson in the state, said police officers usually harass any youth wearing dreadlocks or having a tattoo on them because most of the cultists that have been arrested wear dreadlocks or have tattoos on them.

He said that the police has overtime seen a connection between cultism and those that rock dreadlocks and have tattoos on their body

According to him, “tattoo and dreadlock are strange to our culture especially for Nigeria. Most times when you arrest cultists, many of them have signs on them”

ASUU resumes indefinite strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University chapter, today began an indefinite strike.

A statement from the ASUU chairman in the school, Dr Samuel Shikaa, says that the aggrieved lecturers had embarked on a strike action in 2018 but suspended it when the Taraba government promised to meet its demands which included the payment of earned academic allowances from 2014 till date, and the provision of required infrastructure to enhance teaching and learning.

He said the state government is yet to fulfil their promises hence they are going on strike.

Nigerian woman arrested in Dublin following seizure of drugs worth €240k (Photo)

A 44-year-old Nigerian woman has been arrested after Cannabis believed to be worth almost €250,000 was seized in West Dublin, Ireland.

The drugs were found during the search of a house in Lucan earlier. The Nigerian woman arrested at the scene is being held at Lucan Garda Station. Below is a statement by Revenue Ireland:

In an intelligence led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 12kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €240,000, during a search, under warrant, of a house in Lucan.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint intelligence-led operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service and Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit in Ronanstown Garda Station and the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau. A 44-year-old Nigerian woman was arrested by Gardaí and is detained at Lucan Garda Station, under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.

NYSC threatens to withdraw corps members from Bayelsa state

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has threatened to withdraw corps members from Bayelsa state if their security is not guaranteed.

Suleiman Kazaure, the director General of the scheme, made this known on Tuesday April 2nd when he visited the 2019 batch A corps members at the NYSC orientation camp at Kaiama in Kolokuma/Opokuma local government area of the state.

Speaking during his visitation, Kazaure said

“I have come to see the 2019 Batch ‘A’ corps members in the camp, and to assess some facilities in the camp, but our major concern here is the safety of this young people,” said the NYSC DG. I am very concerned about the incident that happened last two weeks – where two corps members were killed. We are working with other security agencies to ensure their safety during their primary assignments.

“Governor Seriake Dickson should do the needful about security of corps members. These young ones are national assets on national assignment, and if nothing is done by the state, we will withdraw corps members from serving in Bayelsa State.”

Controversial Nollywood actress and mother of one, Tonto Dikeh has revealed that her estranged husband, Churchill was not Mr X, the mysterious man who was showering her with expensive gifts before she got married.

The actress went on to describe him as an ‘irresponsible ape’ – this she did, as she responded to a viral blog post written by a certain blogger, Ogo Oluwa, who had described her as a bitter woman.

Nollywood actor, Bishop Linchung Duke Oliver better known as Silvanus of the popular sitcom, Dogood has died in a car crash while he was on his way back from his mother’s burial who was buried last week.

According to Basorge Tariah Jr. who broke the sad news,

‘my heart is so so Heavy right now. I am in a dark and painful place. Tragedy is a euphemism. We just lost SILVANUS of DOGOOD. My dear brother was returning from the burial of his mother when death added my friend to his mean account. RIP. These Tears won’t stop flowing’.

Davido reacts as court nullifies his uncle, Senator Adeleke’s Nomination

Davido has reacted as a high court which sat in Abuja, nullified his uncle, Ademola Adeleke’s nomination as PDP’s Governorship candidate in the last Osun election.

Recall that, Justice Musa of the Abuja High Court who delivered judgement on the case on Tuesday, nullified Adeleke’s nomination on the grounds that he offended section 177 of the 1999 constitution as amended. The section stipulated that candidates for the position of governor must be educated up to secondary school level. While the court’s findings showed that Adeleke entered secondary school in 1976, there was no record to show that he actually graduated as his name was no longer seen in the school’s register from 1980.

The High Court Judge further stated that the result Adeleke attached to his form CF001 which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was fake, as it was found to be different from the one presented to the court by the principal of Ede Muslim High School, Ede in Osun State. However Adeleke’s lawyer Nathaniel Oke SAN faulted the judgment of Justice Musa on the grounds that the judge erred in law, by going out of his way to source for evidence to arrive at his “unjust conclusion”.

Lagos-based movie producer, Olabisi Monsurat otherwise called Bisket has been reported dead.

The budding actress and filmmaker passed away less than 2 weeks after she welcomed a new baby – her death was confirmed by her colleague Omolola Olumide.

According to reports, she passed away at a clinic in Lagos on Saturday, the 30th of March 2019. The actress reportedly welcomed her 6th child at the age of 47 in March before she developed complications.

She was the producer of Bisola Alanu hit movie which brought Lola Margaret to limelight. Late Bisket was a member of the Theater And Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN)

“My son was not killed by stray bullet, the officers deliberately shot at him” – Kolade Johnson’s father insists

Alhaji Remi Lukman, the foster Father of football fan, Kolade Johnson, who was killed by SARS officers in Lagos on Sunday March 31st, says contrary to media reports, his son was not killed by police stray bullets but was deliberately shot and killed by trigger-happy cops.

According to Lukman, stray bullets couldn’t have penetrated his body twice.

Speaking in an interview with The Nation, Lukman claimed the family has video evidence to prove the deceased and his friends were aimed at by the policemen that raided the football viewing center where they had gone to watch a match.

“We have been hearing that it was a stray bullet but I must tell you that a stray but cannot penetrate twice. If he had not directed the gun at them two bullets will not touch him. He was the hope of the family and a gentle boy and as I am talking to you, I have gone beyond this level and I’m just trying to set everything in motion to prove it was not stray bullets at all.” he said

Describing how the incident happened, the foster father said

“He was just there at that spot catching fun with his friends and watching football match, which of course anybody could have done. It was a response to a lady screaming kidnappers that made them all leave the Kingston Jo eatery to come out to know why the lady was shouting kidnappers.”

He described Kolade as the hope of the family, a gentle boy who was very intelligent.

Nigerian songstress, Chidinma through her lawyers, ‘Shonaiya & Co’ have written a letter to City FM in Lagos demanding a public apology and retraction of ‘defamatory’ statements by its on-air personalities who said the viral Kizz Daniel ‘Fvck You’ song was about Chidinma and that the singer humps around.

In a chat with LIB, the singer’s legal representative, Ayo Shonaiya said,

‘this is just a Notice to the station and the OAP to retract his comments and apologise to Chidinma because those statements are false and defamatory’.

He added that,

‘It is their next move or how they respond that will decide our next move’.

Chidinma and Kizz Daniel were rumoured to be lovers before their relationship hit the rocks at some point in 2018.

Rapper, Birdman wants face tattoos removed, says he’s getting older

American Hip-hop mogul, Bryan ‘Birdman’ Williams, who recently clocked 50, has revealed he wants to remove his face tattoos.

The Cash Money co-founder who has over 15 tattoos on his face alone revealed this while discussing his image on the “Wendy Williams Show.”

Birdman said ;

“I didn’t want to take the [head tattoos] off, but I want to take the facials off, and I was asking my partner, 50 [Cent]… ’cause he removed his tattoos. So I wanted to go to somebody who can take these tats off my face.”

“If I have to live with it, I will. I just felt like, me being older, I would like to get it off. But if not, it is what it is.”

Birdman also revealed that his fellow rapper, 50 Cent referred him to a specialist that removed some of his tattoos after he made him realize that his face tattoos are not as they used to be.

“I was asking my partner 50. Shout out to 50 Cent,” Birdman said. “Cause he removed his tattoos and I wanted to go to somebody who can take these tats off my face.”

A teenage boy, Gabriel Uwaya, has gone into hiding after he allegedly stabbed a man to death in Asaba, Delta State.

Facebook user and sister of the victim, Mamie-anne Tamara Tombia, said her brother was killed this morning as he tried to break a fight between two brothers.

According to her, the alleged assailant who was a tenant at their residence stabbed her elder brother with the knife while he was trying to prevent him from killing his own brother.

Ms.Tamara also disclosed that her brother had recently welcomed a child and was about leaving Asaba for Lagos when the fight broke out.
