Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has congratulated Babajide Sanwoolu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State
APC won in all the local government results declared in the much awaited collation.
Ambode on his Twitter page congratulated Sanwo-Olu on his victory even as he wished him a successful term in office.
He wrote: “Hearty congratulations to the Lagos State Governor-Elect, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Deputy Governor-elect, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
“This is a victory for continuity in governance, victory for the APC and victory for all Lagosians. I wish them a successful term in office.”
Sanwoolu defeated his closest rival of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mr Jimi Agbaje in the Epe, Ikorodu, Ibeju-Lekki, Ikeja, Lagos Island and Lagos Mainland Local Government Areas (LGAs) election results announced and submitted.
Other local governments where the APC led are Agege, Apapa, Amuwo-Odofin, Oshodi-Isolo, Mushin, Kosofe, Somolu, Eti-Osa and Surulere.
Babajide Sanwo-olu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Lagos state, has confirmed that his major opponent, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called him to concede defeat.
Sanwo-olu revealed this in a tweet on Sunday night.
“At exactly 19:07, I received a call.
“Thank you @jimiagbaje for your congratulatory call filled with kind words.
“It was an intense campaign and I am happy we can now focus on the very important job at hand; delivering a Lagos that works for all,” he wrote.
Sanwo-olu will take over from Akinwumi Ambode, who he floored at the APC primaries last year.
Ezekiel Bauda Afon, an All Progressives Congress member who was re-elected to the Plateau State House of Assembly has died.
Afon representing Pengana Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, was said to have slumped and died on Sunday afternoon at his residence in Jos, the state capital.
The APC Secretary in the state, Bashir Sati confirmed the death of the lawmaker, whom he described as “a gentleman to the core, loving and a dedicated member of the party who served the state diligently.”
Late Afon was elected into the Plateau State House of Assembly in 2015 to represent Pengana Constituency of Bassa Local Government Area and was re-elected in the election that was held March 9, 2015, before his demise.
The late legislator is survived by his wife and four children.
Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has won the Lagos guber polls. He defeated Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party and dozens of other contenders who contested for the highly coveted office.
In what is being regarded as a landslide victory, Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Obafemi Hamzat won in all 20 Local Government Areas in the state.
The All Progressives Congress also cleared the available 40 legislative seats at the Lagos State House of Assembly in a reclaim of what it lost in 2015.
In the official result released by INEC, Babajide Sanwo-Olu polled a total of 739,445 votes to defeat Jimi Agbaje who polled 206,141 votes.
This is the third time Jimi Agbaje will be losing the Lagos guber elections having previously lost to the last two occupants of the office.
Jimi Agbaje first contested in 2007 under the umbrella of the Democratic Peoples Alliance, DPA which he lost to Babatunde Fashola of the Action Congress. Agbaje came third behind Musiliu Obanikoro of the PDP. JK as he is fondly called returned in 2015 as the flag bearer of the opposition PDP but lost to incumbent Akinwunmi Ambode in a keenly contested election which saw the PDP win some House of Assembly and Federal Reps seats in the state.
Sanwo-Olu will be replacing Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on May 29 in what many have described as a modern day democratic coup which saw Ambode run for only one term before he was shown the way out.

Controversial comedienne, Afia Schwarzenegger revealed few days ago that she goes in for male prostitutes and pays them to sleep with her whenever she is in the mood to have sex.
However in a new video Afia Schwarzenegger shared, she lashed out at the men who after watching the interview started sliding into her DM to ask for her to contact them so they can also sleep with her and get paid.
She referred to those men as lazy like her former husband Lawrence Abrokwa who want her to work, get paid and waste her money on them when they could just step out and look for work.
Larry Hector, took to his Instastories to complain about the inequality and ”sexual harassment” male models face in Nigeria.
His words ;
I know i find it funny when all these photographers tell you “they can only shoot female models for free”, but as for male model, you have to pay them to shoot you.
This is also a point where gender inequality starts. We are all models, female models can’t showcase male outfits for crying out loud. Don’t try to molest us or get down with us before we can have a shoot with you.
Last week, founder of Champions Royal Assembly, Pastor Joshua Iginla, made a shocking revelation to his church about the crash of his marriage to his wife, Yemisi.
While preaching, the pastor claimed that his wife, Yemi, had a love child and he kept it a secret because he wanted their marriage to stand the test of time. He also confessed that he too had a love child while they were married. ICYMI
According to him, his estranged wife and himself are AA and AS genotype and he found out that their first child, a girl, had an SS genotype which biologically is not possible. He told his congregation that he kept his wife’s secret of infidelity to save their marriage but that when his wife knew he fathered a child outside their marriage, she made life a living hell for him, always threatening to expose and disgrace him.
Tired of the threats, he decided to come out and confess publicly. Now his estranged wife, Yemisi, has broken her silence.
In an interview with Freeze, Yemisi denies having extramarital affairs with anybody while they were married – she swore that all the three children they have are all his.
She said Pastor Iginla’s mistress sent her a message asking her to share him with her and that if she doesn’t she will take him from her.
“If he says I am lying, he should come up and do a genotyope. The three children her his. May major pain at the time was that Syella, the South African prophetess was always with him and I was surprised that he got married to Stella.
My three children are his, I have never lived a promiscous life. I am speaking out for my children’s sake and their destiny” she said
Nollywood actress and ex-beauty queen, Nnaji Charity has finally come out to address her online begging scandal with Dubai-based big boy, Mompha.
Recall that in December 2018, Mompha shared a screenshot of his DM showing where the Nollywood actress slid in to beg him for money and when he didn’t respond, she called him ‘Stingy Goat’.
In her response, the former beauty queen and fashion model simply said,
‘I can never go offline because of this rubbish and this can not change my passion either’.
Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, Charity revealed she lost her last relationship because of the scandal, as her ex-boyfriend felt she wasn’t satisfied with the money he was giving her.
The actress also disclosed that she was left her depressed after the whole controversy and almost committed suicide.
She said,
“The man wanted to use that post to tarnish my image but interestingly, I became more popular after that scandal. I made good money from that post because people started supporting my non-governmental organisation. It has deprived me of so many things; I don’t want my past to affect my future.
“I almost drank acid after that post because he didn’t reveal the chat from the beginning. I sent that message to him about two years ago. I was so depressed; I had to stay offline for a while because the insults were too many.
“I am still trying to redeem my image from all these scandals because they have affected my relationship with people. There was a time I was in a meeting with a senator and immediately he entered my name on Google, he saw scandalous things about me. That moment, he refused to even take a picture with me. He was scared.
“The recent scandal about me begging for money online destroyed my last relationship. My ex-boyfriend felt I wasn’t satisfied enough with the money he was giving me. I tried to explain that the chat was an old conversation between me and the man, and that it had happened before I met him. It took me time to convince him. His friends were laughing at him, that his celebrity girlfriend was begging for money online. He said he was sleeping when his friends called him about the story, and that was the end of the relationship.”

“Recently, we just ended a court case which I did not publicise because I respect my son so much, anything that concerns my son I try as much as possible to keep it on the wraps. We just finished a custody battle case and a child support case.
On if she sees the marriage a mistake, she responded,
“Yes, it was a huge mistake but then again how can a mistake produce such a wonderful gift, that is all I keep saying to myself. How it happened is something I have forgotten about. Part of the healing process is not going back to it. I’m done.”
On getting married again;
“I would do it differently and I will not ignore those little signs that suggest that there is danger ahead. Like I said before I’m not going to talk about the signs, I’m done with that”.
On moving to Abuja;
So, I decided to check round the country to see where I could raise my son in the best way that I can and I found Abuja very soothing; education is great, I am not scared that my son will get corrupt either in school or with the neighbors, the neighbors are beautiful. As an actress or a public figure, there is nothing like adoring your privacy and they give me my privacy here in Abuja.”
