Popular Nigerian singer turned politician Banky W has spoken on his loss at the recently held National Assembly election.
While speaking with Punch Newspaper, Banky W opened up on his political ambition – his decision to go into politics and what will keep him going for years to come.
He also spoke on his spouse, Adesua’s reaction to his loss. Read brief excerpts from the interview below,
On why he chose politics:
The reason I ventured into politics was because of my desire to impact and improve my community; the desire to do more than just talk, tweet and complain about government and the issues facing young people, and the desire to be a part of the progress we all seek. Most of us say we want a better country, but that’s where we stop. I actually went for the specific role in government that I felt I wanted to work in at this time if given the opportunity. The House of Representatives would give me an opportunity to serve the whole country as a federal lawmaker, and also to serve my local community because of the constituency development that each member of the National Assembly is responsible for. That dual role of impact at the federal and local levels is what informed my decision to attempt this race.
On losing at the polls:
I feel very grateful, even in defeat, because of the things we were able to accomplish. Just by running the kind of campaign we ran, and winning some of the major polling units in our area, especially in places like Lekki, Agungi, Idado, Northern Foreshore, Badore, etc. Even in the places where we didn’t win, we were consistently placed in the top three right alongside the two major powers that be. And we did all this with a new, unknown party with no godfather or major sponsor and in the space of three months. It shows that we can compete. You have to remember that a lot of the voters were accustomed to just picking sides between the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party. We actually earned every single vote we got, and that’s something to be proud of. We also hopefully inspired our generation enough to know that it can be done and to participate in the future. We made it to the top three in just three months; imagine what we can do with four years of consistent effort? We may not have won the election in Eti-Osa, but we won something far greater. We won their hearts.
On Adesua’s reaction to his political ambition and the eventual loss:
Her initial reaction was one of worry; she said politics in Nigeria is dirty and dangerous, and she didn’t want anything to soil my name or harm me. But I explained to her that it will always be dirty and dangerous if good people avoid it. Some of us need to get into the system to try and fix it, or it would remain rotten forever. And thank God she understood why it was necessary, and went on to support me every step of the campaign. (When I lost), she told me that she had never been more proud of anyone in her entire life and that it was an honour for her to be on my side. And then she called me her hero which was quite emotional and still is.
Many Nigerian pastors and prophecies are like Siamese twins. There is hardly any salient issue they don’t make prophesy on. But most times, the fabulous predictions, usually attributed to inspiration from God, are always inaccurate.
The last presidential election received several unsolicited prophecies which particularly targeted President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party. Though the predictions appeared scary and laughable, they later turned out to be wide of the mark.
One of the prophecy merchants is a Nigerian pastor based in South Africa, Samuel Akinbodunse. The dark-skinned cleric in a video, which circulated on the Internet weeks before electioneering, walked with a measured spring in his step as he spoke to the congregation inside the capacious Freedom For All Nations Outreach church.

In a finality brooking no interference, he told the ecstatic congregation, “Please Nigerians warn Buhari that he is going beyond his boundary. That the Lord said his tenure is once and not twice. If not, he will not see the election o. If you know him and how to email the Presidency of Nigeria, please write (send) him a text (message). If he made (makes) a mistake to campaign for elections, before they vote, he will die.”
At this point, panic gripped some of the congregation, who were already standing, but clapped several times for the cleric’s damning prediction that sank into the expansive auditorium.
He continued, “And I am saying the truth, I am saying the truth. Tell him the same voice that spoke when people said Jonathan would be the President of Nigeria, the same voice is speaking to him that he must not make that mistake. Let him eat whatever he wants to eat inside (the) sugar that he is now and leave the sugar jejely. If not, he will die. That is just the message. I am not afraid of…Any man who kill (sic) me today him help me because eternity is waiting for me already. If you kill me today, many Samuels will rise tomorrow. What is the essence of killing me because there are many Samuels that will rise?”
The cleric’s prophecy is abundantly inaccurate as the presidential and National Assembly elections were not only shifted from February 16 to February 23 by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Buhari also participated in electioneering with his party, and INEC later declared him winner of the election.
Akinbodunse’s prediction went off the mark as events later proved but Nigerians, via the social media, expectedly lashed out at him.
On a social network site, Nairaland, Brightest04 said, “He wants to let people know that he exists. I don’t blame him; after sleeping with other people’s wives, he intends to see things. I think these men have taken God and His name as a toy; hence they use his name vainly. And this stupidity is synonymous with Christians.”
Saying he holds a degree in Systematic Theology, Brightest04 added, “It baffles me how people roughly use the name of their creator and indeed the creator of everything in existence in a foolish way. These men are satanically-controlled and the people who listen to them have to be careful so that they don’t partake in their calamities.”
Earlier, Akinbodunse, in another sermon, which video gripped the Internet, said the country’s next President was a youth whose name starts with letter ‘S’.
He stated that he would not say what God didn’t tell him, urging Buhari to step down for the youth with a call on ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo to support the incoming ‘youth’ President.
Also, a pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church, Akure, Ondo State, Simeon Akorede, reportedly predicted Buhari’s defeat in the presidential election.
Though Akorede said God didn’t tell him who would become the country’s next president when he spoke with journalists in Akure, he noted that God showed him that Buhari had lost the opportunity and the grace to rule Nigeria again.
He said, “God revealed to me that the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari is not given the grace to govern Nigeria for a second term.”
But the results of the presidential election released by INEC made mincemeat of Akorede’s prediction. The commission said Buhari won his re-election bid polling 15,191,847 votes to defeat Atiku who got 11,262,978.
The prophetic utterance of Prophet John Ogundele of the Recreation Word Apostolic Church, Lagos, about the presidential election was entirely different from others. He ruled that neither Buhari nor Atiku would emerge winner of the election.
In a video showing him in a service/prayer session, Ogundele stated before the congregation, “You may be calculating in your mind that if Buhari doesn’t become the President, then it will be Atiku because Obasanjo supports him.
“Let me tell you as a prophet of God that among Obasanjo, Atiku and Buhari and those who you think are influential (in the country), God said He had withdrawn power from them. None of them will get on to the seat of power. Atiku will spend a lot of money but the money will cause conflicts in the country. If Atiku doesn’t come, there will be no new government.”
In the number 30 of his 50 prophecies for 2019 released last December, the General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, said, “I saw most eastern states won by the APC at the national level.” By whatever interpretation given to the prophecy, it didn’t come to pass as far as the last presidential election was concerned.
Either in the number of states in the eastern region or lawmakers produced for the National Assembly, the PDP won most votes and the states in the South-East, and not the APC. From Abia, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi to Anambra, Atiku dwarfed Buhari with his acceptance and adoption in the region.
Like many of his past prophecies that didn’t come to pass, the Presiding Bishop, Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministries, Ibadan, Oyo State, Wale Olagunju, had predicted several months before the presidential election that Buhari would be roundly defeated by Atiku.
Being based in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, his prophecy might have come true, at least in the state, where Atiku marginally defeated Buhari in the presidential poll.
Quoting him in one of his interviews with a national newspaper, Olagunju said, “Let me congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari for winning the ticket of his party, the All Progressives Congress, and let me also make it clear to him that he will lose to Atiku Abubakar. Let me also congratulate Atiku in advance because he will win the next presidential election come 2019.
“Let me say, as a matter of fact, that Buhari does not need an alfa or prophet to deceive him that he would win the election, for as God lives, he would lose.”
The elections have come and gone but the outcome thoroughly faulted Olagunju’s prediction.
For Prophet David Babalola of His Presence Redemption Ministry International, Lagos, Atiku would trounce Buhari in the election.
He stated that he was on a mountain and saw Buhari on the right and Atiku on the left.
He said he asked God what the vision meant and God told him, “I can go back for the good to come. For you to have the best, that means there is bad before the good. It is power turnaround.’’
Babalola said, “I look at the announcement they announced (sic). They said Atiku have (has) won the presidency. Let everyone pray effectively that they will hand over.’’
The cleric added that Atiku had been ordained Nigeria’s President since 2012, saying, “Atiku won the election.’’
But despite the cacophony of failed prophecies on the presidential election, Prophet Emmanuel Stephen of the Mountain of Grace and Glory Ministry Worldwide, Lagos, reeled out a prediction which left the congregation and those who watched the video online in a pensive mood.
Before the poll shift, the prophet said he saw that Atiku wanted to sit on a seat decorated in the nation’s colours; but someone took the seat away from him and he sat on the floor before the seat reappeared and the incumbent President Buhari sat majestically on it.
After the poll delay, in another online video, the prophet stated, “Between Atiku and Buhari, I said something in my earlier prophecy. As Atiku walked to sit on a throne decorated with the country’s colours, someone came and removed the throne and he sat on the floor. Last December, I said when the throne reappeared; the current President Buhari already sat on it.
“I want to make a major comment about it because many of those who made comments about the video of the prophecy online don’t know who God is. There is a time God will look and changed His mind. There are several places in the Bible where God changed his mind.
“As of December last year, I saw Buhari on the throne as President. The surprising thing is that even as the presidential election is six days away, the prophecy has not changed. The man I saw walk to the throne is not the man that sat on it. What makes a prophet a genuine one is the confident of maintaining what you have said.” After that utterance, the video ended.
Commenting on the issue, a senior pastor at the Glory Centre Community Church, Lagos, Pastor Kunle Zakariya, said there were many reasons why it appeared that some prophecies don’t come to pass.
He said, “Many prophecies have been fulfilled in the past and we cannot deny the fact that prophecies come to pass. For instance, Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly gave a prophecy about the 1992 elections that came to pass. Pastor Enoch Adeboye has also given many prophecies that came to pass.”
Zakariya told SUNDAY PUNCH that prophecies didn’t come to pass owing to many reasons, ranging from fake pastors to misinterpreting prophecies by even some genuine men of God.
He said, “However, some prophecies do not come to pass because God didn’t talk to the person; they were probably based on the person’s bias. Such bias could be political, ethnic or logic-based. “Many times, when one has a bias, one will think one is hearing God but one is only hearing one’s bias. At times, people don’t hear God; they just make predictions by studying the situation and wanting to predict. People who do that are not genuine men of God.
“Another reason it looks like prophecies don’t come to pass is because most of times, people don’t understand that prophecy is a major school. The Bible says that we prophesy in part because we see in part.”
The cleric added that there were different stages of a prophetic word.
Zakariya said, “You receive the prophecy, interpret it and deliver it. Most pastors miss it in the aspect of interpreting the prophecy. For example, during Buhari and the late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s tribunal tussle, a man of God saw a vision where Yar’Adua was wheeled out of Aso Rock. He interpreted that because it was the time of the tribunal Buhari would win at the tribunal and Yar’Adua was on his way out of Aso Rock. He saw the right prophecy but he interpreted wrongly. It was later he understood that Yar’Adua was going to leave through sickness and it was the typology of the wheel chair he saw.”
He noted that a man of God could get a prophecy and miss the interpretation because the language pattern of God was different from men’s.
“I think the lessons for all of us to know that God is God and man is man. We also need to know that some genuine one can appear to miss it, where they miss it is the interpretation,” Zakariya stated while buttressing his point further.
“Some prophecies also have conditions; you might see the prophecies and miss the condition. For instance, somebody might see that Buhari is going if certain things happen. You might see that Buhari is going but the other person see that part you didn’t see and you didn’t see that other part.”
The pastor added that to forestall such in the church, pastors should unite and get a broader view and an accurate interpretation of prophecies before reeling them out to the public.
He said, “This is where I think the church has to be united. Prophetic word from the elders of the body of Christ should be judged by themselves. There should be a council. I think where they can share note, and then share strong and true prophetic words for the nations. But there is no doubt that prophesying is accurate. We have seen it in the Bible and even in contemporary times. Prophecies are true, people sometimes miss the interpretation and there are also fake pastors.”
He further said he could not tell whether a pastor should share a prophecy or not because the Lord who showed them would teach them how to administer it.
On his part, an Islamic cleric, Alfa Jamal Ahmed, said many people enjoyed saying things to please themselves, adding that all utterances and one’s ways should be committed to God.
He said, “If you notice, you hardly see Islamic clerics go about saying all sorts although few of them do so. Most times, those people who give all those prophecies speak based on what they want and for the candidates of their choice. They are not speaking God’s mind.”

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye clocked 77 years on the 2nd of March, 2019.
The well known man of God, who is fondly called Daddy G.O by his members, ministered at the monthly Special Holy Ghost Service on Friday, March 1, at the Redemption Camp, where he prayed over the congregation.
While assuring the congregation of a speedy response to the requests made known to God that night, the Man of God narrated an encounter to boost the faith of his congregation.
He began saying,
“I want to beg you from the bottom of my heart cos this night is like no other night, I can’t tell you all the details but there are things that God will tell me that I dare not share. I have shared some things before in the past that created a problem for me…you want me to tell you one of them…if it is going to help your faith, I will tell you.
I was in Ilorin years ago, we were having breakfast, and we have a pot then for always making tea. And if I remember correctly, there are five cups then in that pot, my wife and I usually use take it turn by turn till the final cup….so that day, i took one, she took one, i took one, she took one and then i put my hand in the pot to take my third one which is the last cup in the pot..but it was empty, I looked at her, I couldn’t remember seeing her take the cup, so i wondered what happened to my tea and lo behold, i heard the voice of the lord loud and clear, saying ‘son, when you prayed, you invited me to join you….ah…..and i did’…some of you don’t know why i call him daddy, it is cos we have a relationship that is difficult to describe…this is a special anniversary, my daddy is here to celebrate with us, prayers prayed tonight will be answered by fire.” he disclosed.
Earlier, the church had organized a 77-hour praise jamboree which the GO attended with his wife and children.
Taking to Instagram, Pastor Adeboye, prayed, “As the Lord has added a year to my age today, in the name of the one who called me, to everyone who call me Daddy, “You shall fulfill your days”. #EAA77
Nigerian male barbie and cross dresser, Bobrisky has in a new ranting spree had a go at a Nollywood actress who we suppose is the alleged mistress who was accused of snatching his best friend, Tonto Dikeh’s ex-husband.
He took to his Snapchat to call out this said actress, dubbing her a husband snatcher who should stop using her friend to stay relevant because her career is dead.
This is coming after we-suppose-you-know-who went hard at a follower recently, said she’s at liberty ‘to break people’s homes’ – in response to this follower, the actress wrote,
You’re sick. If a home was broken it probably wasn’t kept well and that’s none of my business. So get your silly jobless frustrated hypocritical self away from my page and go tell whoeve sent you that you didn’t see. Get a better life so you don’t have to be going on commenting errands from page to page. You’re just dumb as f**k. BALU
It probably is this response cross-dresser, Bobrisky saw that had him go on a ranting spree on this actress where he said her career is dead and she’s only using his best friend, Tonto Dikeh to try and stay relevant.
Popular rapper, Jesse Jagz, in a recent interview with Punchng.com has revealed that he doesn’t listen to any other artiste’s song.
Responding to a question on which rapper he currently admires, Jagz said, “I don’t listen to other people’s music; I just like to do my thing. I create my own music and I motivate myself. I feel like everybody is doing fine in their own way but I just stay on my own lane. The only person I can put my money on is me.”
The rapper also disagreed with the opinion of some that rap music is fast dying in Nigeria. He said, “It is not true that rap music is fading away in the country. Rather, there is a lack of good music. These days, people mostly listen to pop music and that is what most artistes gravitate towards. Many people don’t listen to rap music anymore because they don’t have quality options. However, I think it is all about time. Rap music will still come round.”
Jagz also stated that he had never regretted being a rapper. “I have never regretted being a rap artiste or considered doing the more commercial music like you call it,” he said.
Veteran actress, Idowu Phillips, aka Iya Rainbow, has remained unmarried after the death of her husband 35 years ago.
In a chat with Punchng.com, the actress remarked that she was no longer interested in being joined in matrimony with anyone.
She said, “Over my dead body would I get married again. My husband closed (my heart) with a padlock and he went away with the key. I don’t trust the men of these days. There was one that said he wanted to marry me but he ran away after he saw all my kids. I have forgotten how to want a man. With five kids to cater for, I had no thoughts of that. In those days, I could go to four different locations in a day, to tell you how hard I was working to make money to take care of my children.”
Recalling how her late husband died, she said, “I can never forget the day my husband died in 1984. I felt the world was going to end on that day. He was my alpha and omega. I used to be a nurse but he was the one that made me to become an actress. As a matter of fact, during his burial, I told people to put all our children with him in the grave that I didn’t want them again. The shock was just too much for me to bear. Imagine one becoming a widow at the age of 42.”
Afropop star, Davido has newly disclosed that he was left with no choice than to pay a sum of £55,000 so as to make his 02 Arena show begin late.
The singer, while speaking to DJ Ebro on Hot 96 FM in New York, said;
“I was scared though, because … first of all, you know how we Africans do, we’re always late, we take time
“They said I gotta get on stage by 8, and I said alright and then by 8 o’clock my boy come tell me that brother you can’t go on stage right now and I say what you mean, he said brother everybody is still walking around, I looked at the stadium, half empty. I was going crazy.”
He went on to reveal that he had to pay for a 55-minute extension which costs £55,000.
“I’ll pay two hundred thousand pounds in this place. Me, the way I know my people, people want me to fail.
“If I go on that stage that place is half empty, somebody will take that picture and that picture will go father than anything. I waited till that place was filled.
“I waited for about an hour and thirty before we started. I’d rather pay the fine because people don’t want you to win. Negativity goes way farther than positivity.”
The 26-year-old singer, who described his father as his biggest fan, said his global success began when he decided to focus on Nigeria.
“When I was out here (in America) for like eight months, nothing really happened. But it was when I decided to finally go back home. When I got back home to do what I do, then people started sending me snaps that yo, I’m hearing your songs every day.”
Nigerian activist, Deji Adeyanju who just regained freedom after 78-days in jail has described his detention as “Vitamin C that has re-energised and refreshed” him.
He vows to remain committed to holding government accountable and speaking the truth to power all the time. Adeyanju arrived Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport at 1:30pm and thanked those who stood by him throughout the time he was in prison in Kano.
“For me, I am convinced that when you lock up an activist in prison, what you are doing is that you are just giving him Vitamin C so that he can be refreshed. So, I have gone in, I am refreshed, I am re-energised. So, government should prepare for four more years of activism,” Deji said.
He wondered why the government singled him out for persecution with ‘no just cause,’ and expressed gratitude to President Buhari for making him popular during his travail. The activist said his detention has further spurred him to be more focused, dedicated and resilient, adding that he would continue to expose all forms of injustices, propaganda and lies of the government, irrespective of the intimidation and harassment.
He said he was not afraid of being re-arrested by the government, noting that he would not stop fighting and speaking the truth, which is what he knows how to do best. He, however, denied insinuations that he was being used by opposition parties.
“If it is PDP, we will still criticise, but if they don’t want to be criticised, they should leave and go to Daura. In as much as they are on top of the seat, they should get ready for criticism,” he declared.
Adeyanju was granted bail by a court in Kano last week after he had spent more than two months in prison, following his arrest by the Police over a murder case of which he had been acquitted since 2009 by a Kano High Court.

Mavin singer, Korede Bello recently took to twitter to write ways one can help the poor and it has gotten the reactions of Nigerians following him on twitter.
The singer who has been off the radar for some time now wrote that one way on how to help the poor around you is to stop being one but that really sit too well with his fans as they tagged his tweet insensitive.
His tweet reads ;
ANOTHER WAY TO HELP POOR PEOPLE IS TO MAKE SURE YOU DON’T BECOME ONE.
One Angry Nigerian went guns blazing on the singer as he reminded the ‘God win’ singer that he hasn’t dropped any hit song in a while now ;
PELE MILLION DOLLAR CHILD… ABURO BILL GATE…. WHEN LAST DID YOU DROP A HIT??…. YOU’RE NOT HELPING DEM BRO BECAUSE YOU MIGHT SOON BE JOINING THEM SOON…. PEACE
The tweet triggered mixed reactions and here are some.
Last week, an interview in which the lover of Bread seller turned model, Olajumoke Orisaguna, Sunday Orisaguna, alleged that their relationship is in crisis, went viral.
Sunday in the viral interview, was quoted to have said that his union with Olajumoke is currently in crisis as she no longer respects him, keeps late night and has no regard for their home.
Olajumoke shot into limelight in 2016 after she unknowningly ”photobombed” a photo shoot celebrity photographer, TY Bello was having with London-based rapper, Tinie Tempah, in Lagos. Many Nigerians took to her after the photos surfaced online.
Well, Olajumoke, has reacted to the controversial interview Sunday granted. In a fresh interview with Punch, she denied claims that they are no longer together. She insinuated that their differences is not unconnected with the fact that she no longer gives all her money to him. She added that she leaves Sunday to God.
“Anybody can say whatever pleases them with their mouth. He is the one that has been spreading such stories. When a man knows everything about you, he can choose to do whatever with that information. As for me, I am okay and there is nothing wrong with me.” she said
Denying that there was any rift in their union, Olajumoke said,
“Whatever is going on is known to God. We are still together. He has never discussed all what he has been saying outside with me, so I don’t understand what he is driving at because we sleep in the same house. Well, he can continue saying whatever pleases him but I will not say anything bad about him. There is nobody I will discuss his matter with; I just leave him to God. God will judge between us.”
Asked if Sunday was displeased because she no longer gave him money, Olajumoke said,
“Now you understand what I have been saying. I do not need to break it down beyond that; you already know what I mean. I will not say anything bad about him. I have handed him to God.”
Reacting to the claims that she has broken up with her former manager, Azuka Ogujuiba, Olajumoke said
“Azuka was one of the people that assisted me at the inception of my career. She is usually busy and that is why I decided to change my manager. I still communicate regularly with Azuka and we have even spoken today (Thursday). She and TY Bello are like sisters to me.”
Olajumoke said she hadn’t become a spendthrift since she came to the limelight. “I have always been a good manager. Even when I was working in the bakery, I knew how to manage the resources available to me. Can you imagine a man not working for two years and being fed by a woman?”
Nigerian-American Actress, Yvonne Orji has announced that she is now happily single after breaking up with Emmanuel Acho, a former NFL player.

Yvonne and Emmanuel, when the going was good.
According to her, she is in a happy place now and knows God has seen through a lot on several occasions.
She said ;
”I am newly single. But before you start saying ‘Oh Nooooo!’ Guys, hey. You see me? I’m happy. I’m actually so happy. Luvvie I remember, Luvvie called me and was like, ‘It’s okay, you can be mad!’ ‘I was like, no I’m OK.’I was like, ‘no it really is alright and I’m about to go furniture shopping.’ I came back and I was like, ‘I got a couch.”
“I just have to say, the reason I am so good and so happy is because I know how God works,” she said. “I have seen God’s MO so many times, that like in the way that you can be like, ‘Aw man, I thought this was it! I thought this was the one!’ God be like, ‘Oh that’s what you thought? I got the goods for you.’ It happened in my career when someone offered me a show and I was like, ‘This is it!’ and then the show went to nowhere. I got borderline depressed. Cut to ‘Insecure.’ Cut to my life has changed,”
Yvonne concludes that she’s happy and y’all do not need to awwww, eyaa or chai for her.
Report has it that the birth of a new born baby with four legs – has left the parents and others baffled in Bauchi state, where the delivery reportedly occurred.
The baby was born with a parasitic twin – a smaller and less-developed twin — attached to the upper part of her abdomen/ chest.

A parasitic twin is an identical twin that has stopped developing during gestation, but is physically attached to the fully developing twin. The fully developed twin is also known as the dominant or autosite twin.

A man has been arrested for beating his daughter and a neighbour after he walked in on them having sex in his house.
Zanele Hadebe, 22, brought her neighbour/boyfriend Tanaka Moyo, 30, to her home in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. While they were having sex, her father Felix Hadebe, 55, returned home and beat them up with a metal rod.
Moyo managed to escape after being hit just a few times but Zanele was left at the mercy of her father and he battered her.
Neighbours heard her cries and came to her rescue, but by the time they came, she was in a bad state. She was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital.
As for the father, he was arrested for battery.
Zanele, who has now recovered, told B-Metro that her father should have knocked first before barging into her room.
She said:
He should have knocked because I have the right to privacy because it’s my room.
She also added that anger should never make a parent beat a child the way her dad beat her.
Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari has said that contrary to what most women think will keep a man, only a man that wants to be kept will be kept.
She wrote:
So I just got off the phone with a childhood friend of mine who’s having relationship issues and feels her last resort is to get off the pills and have a baby for him.
In her naïve mind, that will certainly hold him down. Well..I ain’t no counselor, neither I’m i clairvoyant, but I do know this however, that, a baby WON’T keep a man, being beautiful WON’T keep a man, sex WON’T keep a man, Heck, being a good woman, BARELY keeps a man. The only thing that’ll keep a man, is A MAN THAT WANTS TO BE KEPT! #Periodt!
The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Socio-cultural Association has reacted to the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to DailySun, the National President of the association, Bello Abdullahi Bodejo said that even Fulani cows are happy over the victory of President Buhari over the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Recall that both major contenders in the 2019 presidential election, Atiku and Buhari are both Fulanis.
Bello claimed that so many people tried to use money to buy the group but they were led by their belief in Buhari.
Bello added, “The game is finished and we are already in the Next Level. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has done a good job.
“As for me, since the last two weeks, I knew that President Buhari would win the election. He campaigned all over the country and the masses like him.
“Even if he did not go round and stayed in Abuja, he would still have won the election because of the love of people for him.
“It was obvious that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar was going to lose the election to Buhari
“This time, President Buhari has to check the people around him very well. Not all of them are giving him good advice.
“I believe that by now, he already knows those who like Nigeria and those do not like Nigeria. It is now that the real change will come.
“I believe that Baba will bring a lot of change to Nigeria. Even the cows in the bush are now happy and will know that very soon, change will reach them.
“Today (Wednesday), when I wanted to harvest milk from my cow, I noticed that it was double what I used to get.
“Through that, I know that something good is coming to the country. So, even the cows are happy and feeling that change has come.
“Before now, after every election, you used to have all manner of crises but since Buhari won, you can see that everywhere is calm.
“Everybody is very happy; some are dancing and killing animals to do sacrifice. We, the Fulani are praying for him and that he should remember us.
“The Fulani are really suffering; they are killing the Fulani everywhere but we cannot leave President Buhari. We believe in him.
“He is our son, father and grandfather. I urge him to remove all the people around him who are enemies of his administration.
“During the campaigns, many people including Atiku were trying to poison the minds of the Fulani that Buhari did not do anything for us.
“We understood that Buhari entered government at a time that everything had spoilt in the country.
“I believe that Buhari is going to do a lot now. So many people tried to use money to buy us but we believe in Buhari. We are praying that Buhari will listen to the leadership of the Fulani.”
