Residents of a village in Kenya decided to give Kenyan politicians a taste of their own medicine so they served them dirty water.
Marsabit county residents, during a scheduled meeting with their leaders on Tuesday, February 12, served muddy drinking water as refreshment to the politicians who failed to provide potable water for them.
The dignitaries were comfortably seated on plastic chairs for the meeting with residents of Karare ward when Karare Ward women stepped out and served the political and administrative leaders who were in attendance bottled muddy water.
The politicians tried to pretend they didn’t see the water and continued chatting with one another. But their bottled muddy water was carefully placed on the ground beside them.
The residents of Karare area were angered that their leaders had failed to come up with a solution to their perennial water problem. The water the villagers use for cooking, drinking and cleaning is contaminated and completely unfit for human consumption and they wanted to give their leaders a rare chance to see the kind of life they live.

Famous Mexican drug lord, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman has been found guilty on all counts against him and is expected to spend the rest of his life in a US jail
El Chapo who escaped from prison twice, made his first successful attempt in 2001 and broke out of a Mexican jail by hiding in a laundry bin.
Then, in 2014, he fled jail through a mile-long lighted tunnel which his associates had fitted with a motorcycle on rails. He was arrested again in 2016 and extradited to the US the following year.
On Tuesday, Guzman was convicted of running a criminal enterprise that amassed him a $14 billion (£11 billion) fortune. He ran the Sinaloa cartel, becoming the world’s most notorious drug baron since Pablo Escobar, the Colombian who was shot dead in 1993.
The 61-year-old showed no emotion as a jury in New York found him guilty of 10 drug-related charges. He will be sentenced on June 25, and will face a mandatory life term.
After the verdicts were read the Mexican drug lord, dressed in a charcoal suit and tie, leaned back in his chair and looked at his wife Emma Coronel, 29, a beauty queen. Both placed their hands on their hearts and gave each other a thumbs up. She had tears in her eyes.
The jury of five men and seven women, who have been under special protection since the trial began in November, deliberated for six days
During the trial, they heard allegations of gruesome murders, guns encrusted with diamonds or plated with gold, cocaine hidden in jalapeno cans, and a naked escape by Guzman with a mistress through a tunnel.
Prosecutors presented what they called an “avalanche” of evidence showing how Guzman, and his murderous Sinaloa cartel, made billions of dollars in profits by smuggling tons of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and cannabis into the US.
The court heard an allegation that Enrique Pena Nieto, the former Mexican president, took a $100 million bribe from Guzman. Mr Pena Nieto denied it.
Jurors were also told of Guzman’s personal brutality. On one occasion he was alleged to have kidnapped an associate who left his cartel, beating and shooting him, before having the victim buried alive.
A cast of 56 witnesses, many of them Mexican drug traffickers already in US prisons, gave evidence against him.
They included a Colombian known as Chupeta, or Lollipop, whose face had been so altered by plastic surgery while on the run that the court collectively gasped at his appearance.
One of Guzman’s many mistresses, Lucero Guadalupe Sanchez Lopez, told how she was in bed in a safe house with the drug lord when he was in hiding in 2014.
Mexican marines broke down the door but Guzman led her to a trap door beneath a bathtub, which led to an escape tunnel. “He was naked. He took off running,” she told the court.’.
Guzman will be held in a maximum-security prison in the US to avoid any jailbreaks.

A Jamaican man, whose name was given only as A. Cambell, won a lottery and turned up in a mask to claim his £1million prize.
The man wore a mask similar to the one from the movie Scream to claim his winnings. He said he did so so as not to be recognized by money-hungry relatives who would expect him to share the money with them.
Mr Campbell won the lottery in November last year but waited 54 days to collect his $158.4 million ($1.17 million US) prize from the nation’s Super Lotto.
He said after winning the lottery:
Normally, I would write down the numbers from the [televised] draw, eat and then go and check my numbers.
I looked at my ticket [that night] and ran into my bathroom and said: ‘I won! I won!’
I want to get a nice house. I haven’t found it yet, but I’ll be looking for one soon. I like to handle money. I don’t beg, I don’t borrow.
So I’m looking at things that can turn over the money. I have a little business, so I plan to make it bigger, buy an apartment. I love to have money.
A. Cambell isn’t the first lottery winner to wear a mask while claiming his money. Lottery winners in the Caribbean country often wear disguises while collecting their prizes due to high levels of crime in the country, and fears that they will be hounded for money by family and friends.

A 23-year-old woman was left in a distraught state of mind after a “failed” operation left her with malformed, “double bubble” boobs.
The graphic designer identified as Jacqueline Harvey saved for five years, before splashing out £4,500 on the operation – boosting her bust from a 34C to DD.
However, after waking up and looking in the mirror, Jacqueline immediately regretted her decision.
She realized her implants had caused a second bulge under her breast bone – creating what looks like four “bubble” boobs.
The deformity occurs when the implants are placed lower than the breast tissue, and the natural crease line does not disappear – creating a ‘four breast’ appearance.
Now, five months later, embarrassed Jacqueline, from Brisbane in Australia, is trying to save enough funds to pay for corrective plastic surgery.

25 firefighters rushed to the spot after receiving a call at 4.30 a.m. About 35 people were rescued from the six-storeyed Hotel Arpit Palace in Karol Bagh, New Delhi, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mandeep Randhawa said. 3 people jumped off from the blazing building.

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has taken to to her Instagram page to talk about bonding in the 21st century.
In quite a lengthy post, she described people in this century as a generation that don’t want real relationship.
According to her, social media has taken over true bonding and it has caused lack of sincerity, betrayals, depression, and what nots.
She posted this picture to emphasize her point, in which she wrote:
“21st Century, the generation that doesn’t want real relationship. We want that social media relationship that everyone can like and comment on. True bonding are very hard now because, we now converse via DM, Ping, WhatsApp etc and epistle is our new way of expressing our feelings or appreciating people.
A lot of relationship has died because we now have better relationship with our phones than with people. We invest more time into our Instagram profile than we do with our lives. We celebrate our friends/family’s birthdays without knowing how the 365 days that lead up to them was.
Family meetings are now been held via Video calls and WhatsApp group conversations. People come to social media to write a long epistle for eachother, claiming WORLD’S BEST for them. When in actual sense, they know they are nothing close to COMMUNITY’S BEST and their intentions are not to filter them as good, but to impress social media audience.
There’s no relationship without social media anymore and that’s why relationships are no longer sincere; everything is now for the gram?. We’ve forgotten that, the best thing to hold on to in life is eachother? and that’s one of the reasons why depression is getting common.
We’ve built a wall around ourselves against our family and love ones. We share our burdens with riddles on social media instead of talking it out with someone. It has worsen to the extent that, someone about to commit suicide will take to Instagram story to write their suicide note.
I understand it’s hard to find a trustworthy person these days but you still have to trust someone! If you trust them and they betrayed your trust, then it’s not your problem anymore it’s theirs. Let them live the rest of their life with the burden of betrayal.
The best place to lean on is eachother’s shoulders. Don’t let social media steal your love ones from you cuz NOTHING CAN SAVE US FROM DEATH BUT LOVE COULD AT LEAST SAVE US FROM LIFE”.
Wizkid has taken to social media to pen down a message to his fans advising them against voting someone because a paid celebrity endorsed them.
According to him, voters should not be influenced by people who have already collected money from politicians.
“Don’t let anybody wen don collect money influence ur vote to tell u who’s right or not! Use yot head! Vote wisely! I’m for whoever the people vote. Vote who you like…vote wisely. If u ’re old enough to get a PVC, u’re old enough to think! Don’t sell ur vote…uir vote can make a difference! Go out and vote!
“And Politicians wey Dey enter stop joking with peoples lives! U’re responsible for the lives of millions of people and ur decisions affects all. Help us make Naija a better place!!! Make una use una head! One Love!” he wrote.
More details has emerged on the lady who was stripped naked and tortured over missing phone in Benin city, Edo state. The 24-year-old identified as Favour Ada, a commercial sex worker, had pepper inserted into her private part during the brutal ordeal.
The Edo Police command paraded the suspects responsible for the act and remanded three in custody including one Lucky Igbinovia (One-Man-Squad), a former aide to Mr Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress on community security.
Narrating her ordeals in the hands of the suspects at the state police command headquarters in Benin, the lady who hails from Rivers State, told journalists that her worst moment was when they inserted pepper into her private parts, stripped her naked and videoed her.
She said she was taken to a native doctor who mysteriously implanted bullets into her stomach and later threatened her with a live snake, adding that in order not to die, she admitted to the crime and the bullets were later removed from her stomach.
She said when she saw that she was freed from the hands of the native doctor, she told her accusers that she did not steal their phone and that she only admitted to the crime because of fear.
She said when she maintained her innocence; they stripped her naked, inserted pepper into her private parts and severely beat her up.
Speaking on his involvement, Joel Igbinovia (the owner of the missing iPhone Xs-Max) said the victim and her female friend were invited to a hotel at Ugbiyoko, a suburb of Benin city, to entertain his friends.
“The girl was a prostitute. My younger cousin called her to the hotel and she came with another girl. I got up to pay my hotel bill on POS, but when I got back to my seat, my phone was no longer where I put it and the girls were gone. I asked why and I was told that the girls said the money we offered was too small.
“We searched everywhere but we couldn’t find the phone. We then went to another hotel where the girls had gone to and we met them there. I then pleaded with the girl (Ada) to return the phone to me because she would not be able to use it, being an iPhone, but she denied. It was then decided that we invite a voodoo man the following day to resolve the issue,” he said.
Joel further explained that the voodoo man instructed them to write their names on pieces of paper he gave them and squeeze the paper.
He said, “The man told us that the name of whoever stole the phone would disappear from his piece of paper. When we opened the pieces of paper, the girl’s name had disappeared. He repeated the process and the same thing occurred. Then, the voodoo man left us.”
The suspect added that the girl later confessed to them that she actually took the phone, but was under the influence of alcohol she took that day.
He, however, said that when the victim could not take them to where she kept the phone, his cousin began to beat her and inserted pepper into her private parts.
