Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho is depressed after being investigated by officials in Cyprus, over a disputed health certificate.
Uzoho is bound to receive another obstacle in his efforts to get his career back on track, following a loan spell at Elche in Spain’s second division.
According to at Goal Cyprus, the Deportivo de La Coruña loanee visited the Police Station on Thursday evening as part of the investigation of the TAE regarding the procedure of issuing the 20-year-old’s health certificate.
Anorthosis say Uzoho is frightened and in a bad psychological condition and wants to leave Cyprus immediately despite receiving assurances from the club all was well.
Apollon complained that the Nigerian’s health card was not properly issued, leading to an official investigation by the Cypriot authorities, and they remain confident that they will win the case, with judgement expected on Monday.
The Federation has taken statements from those involved in the issuance of the disputed health certificate and Anorthosis have sought clarification whether Uzoho is eligible for tomorrow’s away game at Nea Salamis.
The Nigeria international was forced to cut short his loan spell with Elche last month after new signing édgar Badía was installed as first-choice goalkeeper.
Pop star and RnB singer, Chris Brown has sent the address of his house to rapper, Offset who responded to his challenge to fight over detained rapper, 21 Savage.
It all started when Chris Brown made joke of 21 Savage’s arrest for overstaying his Visa. The joke didn’t sit well with Offset who deemed it lame.
Chris Brown fired back:

Prof. Wole Soyinka, has gone contrary to expectations and permutations after he endorsed Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP), for President.
The Nobel Laureate and his civil society group, Citizens Forum, made the announcement in a statement he personally signed, where he outlined circumstances leading up to the decision which he described as rigorous.
The statement read ;
“The nation has been brought to her knees. Internally, the blaring media testimony needs no augmentation. Beyond her borders, Nigeria is the tale of citizens designated pariahs of the global community for whom special dossiers are opened, and units of security agencies are specifically assigned. Online transactions are programmed to reject basic usage once the word ‘Nigeria’ is inserted in the Data profile. There are few nation left, within or outside the continental borders where – no matter the codeword – a Nigerian ‘room’ has not been designated.
“Her humanity litters the sand trails of the Sahara, it lines the Mediterranean sea-bed with the bones of a desperate generation, seeking ‘green pastures’. Lines from my poems have been appropriated and embossed as epitaphs on the tombstones of Nigerians washed up the isle of Catania and accorded dignified burials by total strangers, certainly paid more respect than Nigerians themselves consider due to their own humanity. Other would-be migrants have been slaughtered by religious fundamentalists on the shores of Tripoli, while waiting for their precarious crossing on suicidal boats. Yet others end up as commodities in the slave markets of Libya and Mauritania, hundreds recently rescued and airlifted – credit where credit is due! – repatriated by government.
“It was not always thus. Numerous Nigerians believe that it need not remain so. There is always a choice to be made outside any presumptuous orders – in reality associations guaranteed to perpetuate social disorders and the politics of inequality. This is not the thinking of any one individual but of a large section of this populace. If it were not, there would not have been a record number of nearly a hundred political groups aspiring to take over the reins of governance.”
Soyinka said his civil society group did not need any instruction to estimate that several of the aspiring groups were mere plants, raised to sow confusion.
He said:
‘It redounds to the credit of a few individuals, including some of the candidates themselves, who embarked on efforts to winnow down their own ranks, then seek a consensus candidate as standard bearer for the battle against the two political behemoths.
“They did not succeed, but that is no cause for despair. They still deserve the gratitude of Nigerians for their uniquely principled efforts. The Citizen Forum – last heard of during the time of the dictator, Sani Abacha – was pulled out of retirement to join in their effort to arrive at peer consensus. The Forum worked peripherally with them. It made no attempt – I stress this – no attempt whatsoever to impose its own preferences, but utilised material from the deliberations of at least four such selection groups. It remained on the fringe, except on invitation.
“Our mission today is simply to present the result of that effort by Citizen Forum which, I am especially gratified to reveal, coincides with my own personal preference. The CF conclusion is obviously not binding on other groups or individuals involved in the exercise. May I take this opportunity to advise the public that neither Citizen Forum nor myself, belongs to any Third Force or other Consensus seeking councils by any other name. Please ignore any such attributions.”
I physically interacted with some of the acknowledged top contenders, in some cases several times. We participated in handshake across Nigeria, where some candidates presented their briefs.
“Among others, I delivered a keynote address. We watched television interviews. We have exchanged notes with highly respected international Civil Servants. The drive towards Consensus among these dedicated groups sometimes took the form of test questionnaires to the aspirants, including items such as: ‘Who among the contestants would you choose, if you did not emerge as the ultimate preference?’
“There was nothing complicated about assessment parameters: mental preparedness, analytical aptitude, response to the nation’s security challenges, economic grounding, grasp of socio-political actualities, including a remedial concern with the Nigerian image in foreign perception etc. etc. not forgetting a convincing commitment to governance and resource decentralization – commonly referred to as Restructuring. The Forum rejected retrograde propositions of a political merry-go-round, which urge the electorate to choose this or that candidate in order to ensure “our turn” at the next power incumbency. Overall, the exercise was exacting but also – therapeutic. It proved yet again that there is over-abundant leadership quality locked up in the nation, and that it is a collective shortcoming that the political space has not been sufficiently opened up to let soar such potential. Well, to cite the Chinese proverb: a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
“Let me reiterate: there is over-abundant, but stifled leadership material, and there can be no excuse, now that that potential of high quality is being manifested, for constricting the political space in a population that is nudging two hundred million. And that statement is of course specially addressed to those who took part in this exercise, those who deliberately opted out of it, some of whom were assessed anyway. Such potential compelled us to exercise utmost rigour in what proved to be a most daunting exercise. The final determination however is – the flag-bearer of the Young Progressive Party – Kingsley Moghalu.
Juliet Ibrahim is of the opinion that ‘beautiful ladies’ are single because people, most especially the men, do not believe that they are really single.
It is not rare to find a lady who is regarded as beautiful still remaining very much single. Many of them do not quite understand why, despite their pretty looks, they still cannot find a suitable partner.
Ibrahim via her Instagram simply wrote; “Beautiful girls are mostly single because no one ever believes they’re actually single…”
This is coming after the delectable actress clapped back at a non-fan who body shamed her.
The Drama started after the Ghanaian actress shared her recent photo and while many people had kind things to say, this troll hopped on her page to mock her legs.
And Ibrahim read him for filth.
“Do you mean the brain surgery you require?” she asked him, adding, “Dimwit. No worries. I will do mine immediately after your brain transplant.”
Although the troll went further to rant, the point has been made: only a dimwit mocks a woman’s body on social media.

An 11-year-old boy in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, Maxwell Ayinbisa is still nursing his wounds over one year after a man poured petrol on him and set him ablaze for allegedly peeping at a woman in a bathroom.
On 24 November 2017, Ayinbisa and two of his friends were sent by another to go and buy petrol from a filling station.
According to Ayinbisa, on their way from the errand, a man accused him and his friends of peeping at a woman in a bathroom. He said his friends escaped leaving him behind. He was grabbed by his accuser, Nsobila John, who took the petrol in a gallon from him, poured it on him and struck a match setting him ablaze.
When Class News visited the family of the victim at Pobaga, a suburb of Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, his head, chest and both hands were bandaged as offensive odour emanates from the wounds with whitish substance dripping from the wounds on his head.
The father of the victim, Mustahpa Rahamani told Class News the suspect; Nsobila John after taking care of the initial cost of treatment of his son has abandoned him.
The Bolgatanga Municipal Police Commander, DSP Samuel Punobyin told Class News the families of the victim and suspect had reached an agreement to settle the matter out of court.
He noted that the suspect agreed to foot all medical expenses before he was granted bail.
DSP Punobyin noted that the police are willing to process the suspect for court since he has reneged on his responsibility.
Head of states, President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that it is only God that will punish the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for looting the country during their 16-years in office.
The President made this known when he met with his local and international support groups at the state house in Abuja today February 8th.
“With the large scale abuse of trust, only God can give them punishment. But those we can touch, we will get them prosecuted. Properties confiscated should be sold and the money put into treasury,” he said while addressing the leaders of the support groups.
“I have said this for the umpteenth time and I have challenged them to prove me wrong. In those 16 years of PDP rule, Nigeria was getting 2.1 million times 100 (2.1 million barrels by $100 per barrel) everyday, but when we came on board, the price fell to between $37-38 and hung around $40-$50. I went to the Central Bank of Nigeria and asked him for money and he said there was no money” he said.

WHAT A LIFE, WHERE THE GOOD TREES DOES NOT STAY LONG IN THE FOREST?
It is HARD to accept the death of a loved one; especially when you didn’t have the chance to say goodbye; especially when the deceased was taken so suddenly and so shockingly at the prime of life and most especially when it seems like an irreplaceable part of your world is gone. The grief and the pain can be unbearable; you cry a river and your sorrow knows no end. You never really know what it’s like until you are there yourself, but you look to God because he’s the only one who can comfort you.
Death and indeed a death so sudden and painful like the death of my dear friend yester-night makes me realize the brevity of life. We often take life for granted; too much so. Her death has made me sit down and reflect. . It’s made me put things in perspective. I want to live life and love it, I don’t want to spend my life being unhappy or dissatisfied, I want to put a smile on my face because that’s what can make a dark day seem bright and I want to play the game of life to the very end.
Ikimot is gone ; None of us can bring her back, no matter how we cry, she is gone.
I met her during my senior secondary school days and we became friends…. I miss disturbing you, you proved to be a good buddy all through… After school we moved on with our various life but you still stood as a friend Ikimot but Today I got the news that you left this sinful world…
I got the news online about the arrival of the new soul (04/02/2019) but I wanted to wish you by calling or a surprise visit, the second day(05/02/2019) was your birthday, I was busy that I could not wish you. I planned to get your number from a friend today to wish you but I got the shocking news i never expected that you have left the world yesterday(06/02/2019)… How can that happen ?
Where is my Portable friend, that friend that whats she loves doing most is to smile. She is calm, loving, patient and friendly.. We all find it hard to believe but the truth is that Quadri Ikimot Damilola has gone to rest. All we can do is to pray for her….
So for those of you who can identify with me in grief, make it your aim to try and look past it and move on but the memory will exist forever
Death is a graduation. When we’re taught all the things we came to teach, learned all the things we came to learn, then we’re allowed to graduate. What a painful exit
Oremi please rest in peace but make sure you protect your kid that you left for us.(AMEN)

Cash strapped university students are being paid as much as £3,500 to be infected with dangerous tropical diseases including typhoid, malaria and pneumonia.
The UK students are among a growing number of healthy volunteers being paid to be infected with exotic bacteria and viruses for scientific research at institutions including Oxford University and Imperial College London.
The UK is a world leader in the study of infectious diseases and the experiments – known as “challenge trials” where human guinea pigs, mainly students, are “challenged” with an infectious disease – have become a popular way to progress the development of new vaccines at a fraction of the cost of field studies.
Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, has stated that Higher National Diploma graduates cannot rise above level 14 except such a person acquires an additional degree for his or her conversion to officer cadre that terminates at Grade Level 17.
Oyo-Itra made the clarification while briefing newsmen on some of the achievements of her office under the Change Agenda 2015-2018.
“This issue of HND/B.Sc dichotomy came up after the last National Council on Establishment and I think a lot of people are still confused about the policy. What was approved by the Council was that henceforth the HND holder can enter at the same level with B. Sc, which is level 08.
“But the issue of where they stop still remains that they will terminate at Grade level 14 unless they are able to acquire additional relevant degree that can now convert them to officer cadre,” she said.
A new video which shows the moment relatives of a rape victim confronted the rapists at a hotel owned by the father of one of the rapists.
25-year-old Don-Chima George (whose father owns the hotel where the rape allegedly took place) and Razaq Oke aka Ricco, 28, are accused of drugging a 23-year-old woman at a club and carrying her slightly unconscious to De Lankaster Hotel in Lekki Phase one where they both had sex with her without her consent and filmed the act.
When the woman gained consciousness, she allegedly asked them what they had done to her but they denied touching her. She then called her brother and he came to the hotel with policemen.
The rape suspects were searched and in their phones, a video of them having sex with the unconscious woman was allegedly found.
A woman has now released a video showing the moment the brother of the victim arrested his sister’s rapists.
The young men are reportedly still in police custody, although, yesterday, a friend of one of the rapists tweeted, rejoicing that they’ve been released and are back home.
Watch the video showing the moment Don-Chima and Razaq Oke were arrested below,
The Edo State Police Command, on Thursday, arrested six persons for torturing and inserting pepper into a girl’s private part in Benin City over an alleged missing phone.
The breakthrough, which was recorded following calls by the Abubakar Yesufu-led League of Patriotic Lawyers and other human rights groups, came as a relief to outraged members of the public.
A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Frank Mba, said two male suspects were still at large, adding that efforts had been intensified to arrest them.
The statement reads,
“Two other male suspects are still at large. Efforts are being intensified to arrest them and bring all involved to justice. The Nigeria Police Force condemns jungle justice in its entirety and warns of dire consequences for persons who resort to criminal acts of self-help.
“The six male suspects arrested are Otoghile Joel (owner of the phone alleged to have been stolen by the young woman); Lucky Igbinovia, alias One Man Squad, in whose house the young woman was tortured; Edobor Osemwengie (Manager of Lafun Hotel); Kingsley Iyamu; Gregg Eweka and Friday Omorogbe.
“The Police have established contact with the victim, aged 24 years. Her health status and recovery rate are being monitored.”
While speaking to newsmen yesterday, President of League of Patriotic Lawyers, Abubakar Yesufu, said the Police showed courage and professionalism in ensuring that the hoodlums were arrested within 24 hours.
He said,
“The League commends Edo State government for giving marching orders to the various agencies to ensure that the culprits were apprehended. “We also commend various women organisations which include but not limited to the International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, Women Arise, and Ethel Women Initiative.
“Worthy of special mention is Curtis Eghosa Ugbo of Benin Solidarity Movement. The victim, Ada Friday, 24, did not steal any phone.
“She refused the sexual overtures of the kingpin, who orchestrated the aforesaid missing phone and with the aid of a native doctor, he became the accuser and enforcer in chief of that sordid show of shame.
“With the arrest of these hoodlums, Ugbiyoko, Ekewan neighbourhoods of Edo State would now know peace. We have also spoken to the state government and have been reassured that all the suspects, including the native doctor, would have their day in court.”
The Nigerian prophet who prophesied that Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele was only destined to be rich and to be without child, Faleyimu Olagoroye, has spoken yet again on the actress’ matter.
The prophet had at the time even said that she must marry a gate-man – it’s no news that FAB defied the Prophet’s claims as she and her husband JJC Skill, welcomed their first child together on Saturday, December 22.
Few days before Christmas 2018 and few months after they had their wedding anniversary, the couple welcomed twin babies – reports flew around social media and fans and well wishers sent love their way.
In a new report by Yoruba Movie Gist, the prophet, who is the founder of Blessing and Miracle Church of Christ, is now claiming that the actress had her babies through In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).
The prophet opined that the actress did not give birth through a means that is in the Bible – he claims that IVF is scientific and it is only advised for people who do not have the ability to conceive naturally.
Read him below,
“About Funke Akindele, she was a nobody when I have been giving out revelation about her. it was revealed to me that she will be very rich and famous but she will find it difficult to have a child, only prayers can help her out.
After her first marriage, the news was everywhere that she was pregnant, thereafter, we read something else about the pregnancy in the news. Subsequently, she got married to another person and I repeated the prophesy. She was said to be pregnant again and after sometimes, news came out again that she lost it.
The media came to me and I explained what was happening and the only way out. When she delivered twins, I read people’s comments on social media that I am a prophet of doom.
Remember I said she should pray very hard if she must have a child because she chooses wealth above children when she was coming to this world. One of the things I said was that she should go for a deliverance and she should ask God with her mouth what she want, not to go to pastors or prophets for prayers.
If I pray for her to have a baby, no miracle will happen, the only thing she can do is to pray with her mouth or she get married to someone who is not up to her standard. Then, when she is pregnant, her wealth will be reducing. After she delivered, it was revealed to me that she got the baby through IVF.
If Funke Akindele had followed any of the 3 solutions I gave her, she would have been pregnant naturally. People should read Genesis 25 vs 21-26, Genesis 3 vs 9-24, Genesis 17 -21, and 1Samuel 25-28, you will see people who are looking for the fruits of the womb from God and see how God answered them naturally, not through scientific method. It is only the people who can’t conceive naturally Doctors will advise to go for IVF.
Meanwhile, IVF is 50/50 things, not everyone that did it ended up with babies. It is a scientific method which is not in the Bible. Jesus Christ was born through Holy Spirit not IVF and there is no other miracle like that after him. IVF is not for poor people, it is for the rich who can afford it.”
The Nigerian police got a hold of budding Nigerian artiste, Teniola Apata, and was confronted for one of the lyrics in her song, Case, concerning the police.
In her song, she says “I slap police for your case”, the police then asked to confirm if she was the one who said she wanted to slap police.
The singer then responded jokingly that what she meant was She [sic] will hug police for your case.

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has revealed that she cannot act nude in a movie even if she was offered a whopping $5million.
She gave this revelation in an interview with Asempa FM where she also disclosed that she disagrees with people who think money is everything in life.
In her words,
“Oh no I won’t. This time it is even crazier because I have a child. I will never act nude because I want to serve a good example. The money is cool but no. The act is going to be there forever and I wouldn’t want to do that,” she revealed.
Mrs. Rita Korankye has said that being a pastor’s wife is really a lonely journey – the spouse of Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, the Founder and General Overseer of the Royal House Chapel in Ghana, revealed this to Lexis Bill on the Personality Profile on Joy FM, Thursday.
She said,
“Every woman wants to be a pastor’s wife but it can be a lonely journey”.
She also revealed that one of her wishes growing up and due to her passion for kingdom business was to become a member of a religious community of women.
“I had always wanted to be a Catholic nun…It’s something that I wanted to do…,” Mrs Korankye Ankrah revealed.
Rita Korankye who landed a job as a banker later resigned on the advice of her boss. According to her, when the boss listened to a tape of her sermon, she advised her to resign because banking wasn’t her calling.
“After she listened to my preaching she advised me to resign. ‘This is not your calling, go and help your husband’s ministry’ she told me,” she recounted.
Mother of Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Mrs Olubisi Osinbajo, has stated that all naysayers who say the Buhari-led administration has done nothing since assuming office in 2015 are living in another world.
The octogenarian revealed this on Thursday after her son paid her a visit in her home during his house-to-house campaign in Somolu area of Lagos State.
“They have tried. If anybody says they have not done anything, then you can say that man or woman is not in this world because they have tried. What Buhari and Osinbajo did in three years, people couldn’t do it for 16 years. We are praising God and we shall praise God after the elections” she said
The elated mother thanked God for sparing her son’s life in the Kogi helicopter crash last weekend.
“I am overwhelmed with this visit and I must thank God for everything that He is doing in my life. Do you know that on Thursday (January 31), I was busy thanking God and praising God. I didn’t know what was going to happen on Saturday (day Osinbajo’s helicopter crashed in Kogi). I have been praising God and I told my people I wanted to praise God on that Thursday until evening of that day, not knowing that something would happen on Saturday. That gift was given to me by Jesus Christ that I should be praising Him and that I will never be sorrowful. That was what God told me,” Mrs. Osinbajo said.
A handful of Lagosians are enraged online after all the illegally parked tankers and containers that usually cause traffic gridlock on the bridges on Ikorodu road mysteriously disappeared for the second time this year.
The first time they were cleared was for the Lagos City Marathon last week and now, the road is once again clear and free ahead of President Buhari’s visit to the city for the APC rally tomorrow.
See how some residents are reacting,
"@comr_KK: BREAKING News:because President M Buhari is coming to Lagos Trailers,Tankers & Containers have suddenly left Lagos Road oo!…. how did they do it. wonders shall never end.@Gidi_Trafficpic.twitter.com/xP9TmEmIpe
@AkinwunmiAmbode its so pathetic that we V a seating Governor who careless about d people in Lagos. Cos @MBuhari is visiting Lagos, d tankers now can do d right thing by moving their illegal parks away from d bridges.@dynastykotun@APCNigeria@OfficialPDPNig
Buhari’s visit to Lagos..hmm..what happened 2d tankers on the Eko bridge, Carter bridge, on d roads parking illegally? These people are acting, we are watching. Who is fooling who. My Lagos peeps can you see this! Vote wisely.@dynastykotun@NigeriaNewsdesk
The tankers that have been on Eko Bridge & Ikorodu road have only been cleared on 2 occasions in more than 1 year. For the Lagos Marathon & for Buhari's visit on Saturday.
These people can solve problems. They just don't rate us
If PMB coming to Lagos is the solution to the Tankers and Trucks on the Eko Bridge, I think APC should add it to their Manifesto, that President Muhammed Buhari would visit Lagos every Saturday.
So because Buhari is coming to Lagos tomorrow the Lagos state government cleared all the trailers and tankers on the road. See ehn, as many as you people are, causing us untold hardship in Lagos, your punishment will be immense. In fact, it will rain heavily tomorrow.
I see political e rats are already politicizing the evacuation of tankers off the road of Lagos state because PMB is coming for campaign with talk of one party not caring about us
But we know the other party won't do anything different/better as we've seen in the past #sameni
The president is coming tomorrow to Lagos and suddenly the tankers have disappeared from the road. Somehow, they have found a solution. @followlasg@AsoRock this is the definition of perfidy, the height of hypocrisy, after two years, what a shame.
