An unidentified passenger reportedly forgot a huge sum of money in Keke Napep (Tricycle) in Akwa Ibom, as confirmed by a journalist Harrison Essien.
According to Harrison Essien, efforts are being made to locate the person who forgot the large amount of money in the Keke Napep which he or she boarded at Itam Junction in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, during the festive season.
He further disclosed that an honest tricycle rider brought the money, which is now in the custody of the Marketing Directorate of the Akwa Ibom Broadcasting corporation.

The money is now being deposited in our Marketing Directorate.
The owner of the money or members of the public who have knowledge of anyone, who lost a substantial amount of money are requested to come to AKBC Corporate Headquarters, 3, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, with adequate proof of ownership to get the same amount.

Football legend, Diego Maradona is reportedly set to undergo surgery in Argentina after suffering from a stomach bleed.
The 58-year old football legend had failed to show up for training at Mexican side Dorados where he is now a coach. It has now emerged that he has been admitted after internal bleeding in his stomach was detected during a routine check up.
Maradona was undergoing routine examinations in his homeland before returning to Mexico, where he is coach of second division side Dorados de Sinaloa, when doctors discovered the problem.
Argentine sports newspaper Ole said he would have an endoscopy at a clinic in Olivos, on the outskirts of the capital Buenos Aires with children Gianna, Janita and Diego Jr at his side.
The severity of his condition was not known and the hospital has made no official statement.
The health scare is the latest for Maradona, who has suffered frequent hospital stays over the years, often due to the extravagant lifestyle that helped make him one of the most admired and iconic footballers of the 20th century. He last fell ill at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where he was filmed passing out in an executive box at the Argentina-Nigeria game.
Maradona was hospitalised in 2004 with severe heart and respiratory problems linked to cocaine use. He later underwent drug rehabilitation in Cuba and Argentina before a stomach-stapling operation in 2005 helped him lose weight.
In 2007 he checked himself into a clinic in Buenos Aires to help him overcome alcohol abuse problems. In recent months he has walked with the aid of crutches due to problems with his knees.

Huawei has demoted its employees, who tweeted a new year message from an iPhone rather than a the brand’s device.
The Chinese telecom giant Huawei, who dislodged Apple last year from its position as the world’s second biggest smartphone-seller, below global number one Samsung, announced the punishments for the employees involved after Reuters saw the memo and shared the contents.
It was learnt that the Huawei employees who were responsible for the tweet quickly deleted it, but a screenshot of the tweet went viral, catching the attention of Huawei executives.
According to Huawei’s corporate senior vice president and director of the board Chen Lifang, the tweet “caused damage to the Huawei brand,” and occurred when an iPhone was used to send the message after a desktop computer malfunctioned. Huawei felt the accidental tweet “showed procedural incompliance and management oversight.”
The mistake occurred when outsourced social media handler Sapient experienced “VPN problems” with a desktop computer so used an iPhone with a roaming SIM card in order to send the message on time at midnight, Huawei said in the memo.
Huawi demoted the employees responsible for the tweet from an iPhone by one rank, and also reduced their monthly salaries by 5,000 yuan, equivalent to approximately $728. Huawei has also frozen the pay rank of its digital marketing director for 12 months.
Allwell Ademola has finally revealed why he fell in love with her late husband’s best man, two years after he was shot dead by armed robbers.
Allwell Ademola, the Nollywood actress who is also the grand daughter of Nigeria’s first Chief Justice, Justice Adetokunbo Ademola, also revealed that her late husband’s best man was her best friend even before she met her fiance in the interview with The Sun.

You’re well endowed upfront, did you find it challenging managing your assets at a younger age?
No at all. My boobs were never a challenge to me. I have been acting with them since I was a child. Variety is the spice of life. Not everybody is meant to be slim or have small breasts. Who will act the size 16 roles if everyone is a size eight? Even as a child, I still got contacted to play certain roles. So, I never had self-esteem issues because of the size of my boobs.
Would you say that your endowments have been instrumental in getting you movie roles?
Yes of course. Initially, it was challenging. May be because I hadn’t discovered myself. I guess I didn’t know and couldn’t appreciate what I had back then. Now I know that there are very few people that have my kind of body and endowments. Little wonder producers are always on the look out for me.
Are you in a relationship at the moment?
Yes, but I am single.
Any marriage plans at the moment?
Not at all. Presently, I am not in any serious relationship.
The dream of every woman is to get married someday and start a family, why are you different?
Man proposes but God disposes. I had planned to get married a while ago but it didn’t work out. I was so close to the altar but God disposed it. So, for now, I have no plans for marriage.
I learnt that after you lost your fiancé two months to your wedding, you moved on with his best man, how true?
Yes, I lost my man two months to our wedding. Armed robbers shot him and I mourned him for two years, and then I moved on with our best man. Yes, it’s true. He was my best friend even before I met my fiancé, so I planned to make my best friend the best man at my wedding. Unfortunately and fortunately, his fiancée jilted him at about the same time I lost my fiancé; so, he felt maybe, God didn’t want us as just friends. So, he proposed to me. What do you expect from a heartbroken woman at her lowest? I fell for it.
How did you deal with the heartbreak?
I had people around me who showed me so much love and support, and eventually, I scaled through.
The Presidency has attacked PDP, over accusation that INEC official, Amina Zakari is a relation of President Buhari.
In a statement released on Friday evening, the senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said the PDP had continued their ”baseless” accusations against the person of Amina Zakari.
Recall that Zakarai’s appointment as the chairperson of the INEC collation center for the 2019 presidential election, was greeted with serious condemnation following claims she is President Buhari’s niece.
Shehu in this statement, said PDP has once again lied as Zakari and President Buhari are not in anyway related.
“In their desperation, they forget that it was the PDP government that appointed her in the first place and they keep lying, as they have been caught doing on so many issues, by imputing a blood relationship between her and President Muhammadu Buhari.
“President Buhari and Commissioner Amina Zakari don’t share a family relationship. An inter-marriage occurred in their extended families, so the imputation of blood relationship between the President and the electoral commissioner is a simple lie;
What is even more curious about all the fuss coming from the PDP is that they, as a ruling party picked Mrs Zakari, judging her by her own merit and made her an electoral commissioner.
She served so well with distinction as can be verified from the records that President Buhari approved the recommendation that she be reappointed, as he did other PDP nominees for second-term of four years.
PDP, therefore, has no moral right to keep harassing this hardworking mother unless they have a hidden agenda.
By this statement, the PDP is guilty of scoring an own goal and two, of harassing an innocent citizen on the basis of a lie, pure and simple.”
Ubi Franklin was dragged into an exchange with a follower, who was praying for the restoration of his marriage to Lilian Esoro, who he shares a son with.

The couple who got married in November 2015 in a star-studded wedding, went their separate ways shortly after their son was born in 2016.
The 43-year-old Islamic cleric, Abdulsalam Salaudeen, who raped a 5-year-old Arabic Schoolgirl, revealed that he has been having a running battle with spiritual forces for years.
The suspect further disclosed that he fought the devil back and forth by saying aausubillahi (God forbid) to no avail, before committing the said crime on Friday, December 28, 2018 at a section of the Arabic school on Awoyemi Street, Igando Road.
Salaudeen who was previously accused of raping a girl in his class some years ago when he was living at Ikotun, a neighbouring community, further disclosed that shame forced him to relocate to Igando. “It is the work of the devil,” he said in Yoruba, burying his head in his right palm.
“I have been living in Lagos for 25 years. I have a wife and five children. My wife and three of the children live with me. My wife does not deny me of sex. The girl was brought for Arabic class about five months ago. On that day, I asked her to go and sweep a section of the class. The place was separated by a wall and I followed her. I asked her to stand on a bench and face the wall. I rolled up her skirts and removed her panties. As I wanted to penetrate her from the anus, I said ‘aausubillahi, aausubillahi (God forbid)’. It was the devil that pushed me to it. My penis only grazed her private parts.
“While I was living in Ikotun, I was accused of raping one of the children attending my class. But I did not rape the girl. She needed a uniform we used in the class and I took her to a tailor to take her measurements. I have been battling with spiritual wars since then. My enemies are many and they have been casting spells on me. I relocated to Igando and started a new Arabic class” he said.
Salaudeen who revealed how shocked he was when confronted with a video clip showing how he molested the girl, was arrested after a neighbour who stumbled on him fondling the victim in his class left quietly and reported the case to a child rights’ organisation in the community. The neighbour was advised to do a secret video next time he caught the cleric in the act.
“The informant was asked to do a video to get evidence that could nail the cleric. He was well respected in the community and he could have easily denied the allegation. Many people would also not believe he could do such a thing without the video,” a police source said.
Lagos State Police spokesperson, CSP Chike Oti, however told newsmen that Salaudeen was arrested after the informant reported the crime at the command headquarters in Ikeja with the video clip.
According to Chike, the suspect who initially denied the allegation when he was grilled at the Gender unit, owned up to committing the crime after the Officer-in-Charge of the unit, ASP Abimbola Williams, confronted him with the video of him defiling the child by penetrating her anus and private parts.
“On Friday, December 28, 2018, a good Nigerian visited the headquarters of the Lagos State Police Command with a video evidence of an Islamic cleric, aka Alfa, having anal sex with a five-year-old girl that he was supposed to be teaching Islamic studies. The complainant sought audience with the state Commissioner of Police, CP Edgal Imohimi.
“The CP, after watching the heartrending video, directed the command’s undercover operatives attached to the State Intelligence Bureau to immediately arrest the culprit and hand him over to the Gender Section for detailed investigation. The operatives went in search of the Alfa and arrested him near a mosque in the Igando area of the state.
“On seeing how he was captured like an actor in a movie, the suspect broke down in tears and owned up to committing the crime. The case will be charged to court soon,” Oti added.
A man reportedly set himself ablaze after his wife left him, as confirmed by the Jigawa State police spokesperson, Audu Jinjiri.
The 40- year-old-man identified as Abdullahi Jafaru, reportedly poured petrol on himself and set himself ablaze on December 31, 2018, after his wife Halima left their home because of a misunderstanding.
According to the Police spokesperson, attempts by Mr Jafaru to convince Halima, his first of two wives and who he has 6 children with, to return were unsuccessful. He then went on to pour petrol on himself and set himself ablaze.
“As soon as the police in the area got the hint, they swiftly moved to the scene and rescued the victim Mr Jafaru, then rushed him to hospital.
“Even while on sick bed receiving treatment, Mr Jafaru was still calling the name of Halima his wife even though his second wife remains with him at the hospital taking care of him,” the police spokesperson said.
A Lady identified as Gifty Addo, 33, attempted to smuggle weed and tramadol in a stew for her boyfriend, who is jailed in Kumasi Central Prison, in Ghana.
The 33 year old has been arrested, after she smuggled the illegal substances in the stew packaged in a transparent rubber bucket which at first was thought to be tomatoes stew and animal intestines, but however had 13 mini parcels of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis and 10 blister packs of Tramadol 225mg.
The suspect was busted by a vigilant female prisons officer at the main entrance of the prison as she was being checked before entry.
DSP Jeremiah Alale who confirmed the arrest in an interview with Kumasi based radio station, Ultimate FM, further disclosed that the suspect’s jailed boyfriend, Yaw Odum, is currently serving a 3-year jail term for abduction and has allegedly been selling narcotic drugs to inmates of the prison for some time now.
According to Alale, the suspect will be charged to court after investigation is concluded.

Footbal legend, and former FC Barcelona star Ronaldinho has been banned from leaving his home country, Brazil by a judge over debt.
The ex-Barcelona is scheduled to appear at the Dubai International Sports Conference this week.
The 38-year-old football legend has been barred from making the trip to the United Arab Emirates by a court in South America.
Brazilian judge Newton Fabricio demanded that Ronaldinho and his brother Assis Moreira have their passports taken off them by authorities.
The seizure order was made to guarantee the payment of a £1.75million fine imposed on the pair for breaking environmental construction regulations four years ago.
They were prosecuted for causing damage to the environment in the building of the Ronaldinho Gaucho Institute in the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre.
The charity helps work with young and impoverished people in the city and has been lauded for its work.
But authorities are still demanding the fine be paid, and prosecutors say Ronaldinho and his brother have been impossible to pin down over the money.
When the judge first ordered the passports should be seized in November, Ronaldinho was out of Brazil.
And he continued travelling around the world before eventually returning to his home country for the Christmas period.
Prosecutor Brasilino Pereira dos Santos said:
“It seems we are dealing with a situation where the guilty party is clearly mocking the law in front of Brazilian society and the world.”

The widow, Folashade Chijioke, was nominated after many entries via emails by another widow.
Some of the criteria for selection were that the widow being nominated must be a working woman, giving back to the community and raising her kids.
Folashade’s home was given a face life with new furniture, a new paint job, bathroom fittings, an upgraded kitchen, bunk beds, cozy mattresses, a TV, fridge, and gas cooker.
Folashade and her four kids were taken from the hotel they had been staying at during the renovation and they were shown their new home on the 31st of December.

A young man has been apprehended by residents for stealing panties and other clothing items in Edo state.
According to a report, the man said to be Hausa, stole the items at Lagos street in Ring road area, Benin city and was caught at Orominyan area by the residents.
When asked how much he sells the panties, the young man refused to talk. Female leggings, boxers, underwear and other clothing items were also found in his possession.
His questionable act comes days after the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, warned Nigerian youths, especially yahoo boys stealing pants for money rituals to desist from the act or face the consequences.
Oba Ewuare gave the warning during a thanksgiving service at the Holy Aruosa Cathedral in Benin to round off the 2018 annual Igue Festival Celebrations.
He said youths who cling to the illusion that they could become wealthy by killing people or stealing female underwear for ritual purposes, would no doubt face the consequence.

The Nigerian police force has said that senator Dino Melaye is wanted for criminal conspiracy and attempted culpable homicide, committed on 19th July, 2018, when Senator Dino Melaye and his armed thugs attacked Police personnel, shot and wounded SGT Danjuma Saliu on stop and search duty along Aiyetoro Gbede, Mopa Road in Kogi State.
He has surrendered to the Police Investigation Team on wait at his residence, today, 4th January, 2019 at about 1500hrs. The Police Officer, Sgt. Danjuma Saliu, is yet to recover from the gunshot injury he sustained during the attack and still under intensive medical care in the hospital.
The Police Investigation Team had since 28th December, 2018 at about 1000hrs arrived the residence of Senator Dino Melaye with a duly obtained Warrant of Arrest to effect his arrest to answer to a case of Criminal Conspiracy and Attempted Culpable Homicide against him under investigation in the Kogi State Police Command. Senator Dino Melaye on sighting the Police Team locked up himself in the building to evade arrest.
The Warrant of Arrest was obtained after Senator Dino Melaye refused to honour Police invitation dated 23rd July, 2018, signed by the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command addressed to the Clerk, National Assembly, Abuja, inviting Senator Dino Melaye to report on 26th July, 2018 at 1100Hrs at the Kogi State Police Command, CIID, Lokoja to answer to a case of Criminal Conspiracy and Attempted Culpable Homicide against him under investigation in the Kogi State Police Command.
The Police Investigation Team cordoned off the building and continued to be in wait for eight (8) days for Senator Dino Melaye to obey the law and surrender himself for arrest.
While the Police Investigation Team was waiting, Senator Dino Melaye granted an interview monitored on Television Stations that he was not in Abuja. This claim eventually was discovered to be completely false as Senator Dino Melaye surrendered to the waiting Police Investigation Team today at his residence in Abuja at about 1500hrs.
Senator Dino Melaye is currently in Police custody for investigation, and subsequently, taken to Police hospital, Abuja for medical attention and he is in stable condition. Investigation into the case of criminal conspiracy and attempted culpable homicide against him is on-going.
The case will be taken to court on completion of investigation.

In spite of the on-going strike action, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has confirmed that the ASUU has agreed to participate in 2019 General Elections.
This is coming after the two ad hoc committees set up to meet ASUU and NLC wrapped up a meeting this afternoon.
The ad hoc committees were set up in a bid to drive some important components of the electoral process.
Prof. Mahmood said,
“The Commission is aware that the conduct of a General Election is the biggest and most complex logistics operation a nation can undertake. Sensitive and non-sensitive materials procured by the Commission must be delivered to almost 200,000 locations nationwide, ranging from the polling units to the various Ward, Local Government, State and the National collation centres for the 1,558 constituencies into which elections will be conducted.
“At the end of the elections, sensitive materials will be retrieved from the same locations. The same process will be repeated for each of the two phases of the 2019 General Elections, namely the Presidential and National Assembly elections holding on 16thFebruary and the Governorship, State Assembly and Area Council election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on 2ndMarch.

Posting on her Instagram many months back, the Jenifa star shared love and prayers for her husband, assuring him that he stands on a solid rock with her, and so no harm will ever come his way.
“You are standing firm on the solid rock my KING therefore you will never sink. You will always succeed in all you do in Jesus Name,” wrote the actress, adding in Yoruba, “Ori lo je,o ni di iru loruko Jesu.”
The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony in August 2016, and only revealed the photos a year later, on their wedding anniversary.

Dino Melaye slumped as he surrendered himself to the police, Eight days after the police laid siege outside his Abuja home.
The embattled Senator Dino Melaye has finally surrendered to the police.
Some senators paid Dino a visit inside the Maitama home on Friday, January 4th and afterwards escorted him to the Police headquarters to meet with the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
The police stormed Dino Melaye home last Friday December 28th with the hope of arresting him for a case of attempted murder. The police allege that Dino and his “thugs” attempted to murder a police officer in Kogi in July 2018.
Dino has since denied the allegation.

A Nigerian man has taken to his social media page, do dare God in the presence of mortal men, to take his life in less than an hour if truly He exists.
Dauntlessly taking to his page, the gentleman asked that God takes his life in 30minutes and if He doesn’t then He doesn’t exist.
He wrote,
I dare God to take his [sic] life in 30 minutes, If He can’t then that means He doesn’t exist
A septuagenarian, Mrs Cecilia Attah, has been killed by her son at Nru, Nsukka, Enugu State, a new report by Vanguard says.
It was discovered that Mrs Attah was killed, on Wednesday, by her son who used a plank to hit her on the head.
Shortly after killing his mother, the suspect ran to the nearby Nsukka Police Station to report that his brother wanted to kill him.
The deceased is said to be the mother of a priest, Rev Fr. Nobert, who is currently on sabbatical in the U.S, with Athanasius Igwenagum Attah, 54, as the eldest.
Athanasius, a panelbeater, was seen at Nsukka Police Station, yesterday, making a statement over the issue.
A senior police officer said that the death was accidental, as Mrs Attah was trying to separate two of her sons, who were quarrelling, when one of them killed her.
It’s official, Nigerian Afro-pop singer, Burna Boy is the first to serve a dish of controversy this year following his recent brouhaha over a mere font of his name in an international musical flyer.
The “Ye” crooner continued with his rant against Coachella following his earlier protest about how small they wrote his name in the flyers.
Burna Boy described himself as an African Giant fighting for the vision and future of the continent, but this morning he went a step further, but many Nigerians feel he took a step too far.

A man reportedly killed his mother with a plank during an argument at Nru, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, as confirmed by a senior police officer.
The 73-year-old woman, Mrs Cecilia Attah, was reportedly killed on Wednesday by her son who used a plank to hit her on the head, following a slight argument.
The man who killed his mother is said to be a panel beater at the Mechanic Village, Nsukka, and reportedly committed the said crime while she was trying stop him from quarreling with his brother.
A senior police officer, reportedly confirmed the death of Madam Cecilia Attah which was said to be accidental, According to sources, the deceased is the mother of a priest, Rev Fr. Nobert, who is now on sabbatical at the United States of America, USA.
